Mapping failed due to Unique Constraint

Hi,
We are using Oracle Financial Analytics and noticed that one of the mapping SIL_PositionDimenstionHierarchy failed due to Unique Constraint.
Mapping was inserting data into W_POSITION_DH table.
Is there a way to find the source table from where it is inserting the record?
I don't have much Informatica experience.
Thanks,
Poojak

Hi,
Our servers are hosted to Oracle On Demand. I have opened a ticket with Oracle. They have asked us to aply a patch to increase the version of the Mapping.
Please see update from Analyst.
"Development team is requesting to apply patch number 9782718, which solves this issue as well.
You need to go to Patches and Updates tab on Support Portal, click on Oracle, Siebel and Hyperion products link and do a simple search with patch number 9782718. The patch files contain detailed instructions.
Please test on your Test environment first before applying to Production. Let us know if you have any issues.
Thanks,
Poojak

  • Import fails with error unique constraint

    Hello,
    I try to import an APEX Application from Version 2.2 to APEX Version 2.0.
    I get the following error message:
    ORA-20001: GET_BLOCK-Fehler. ORA-20001: GET_STMT-Fehler. ORA-20001: Die Ausführung der Anweisung war nicht erfolgreich. ORA-00001: unique constraint (FLOWS_020000.WWV_FLOW_REGION_UPD_RPT_CI1) violated<pre>

    For the Import I chose the option "Auto Assign New Application ID".
    Has anyone an Idea, why the import fails?
    (Export from Version 2.2 and Import to a different Workspace in Version 2.2 is successful)
    Thank you for your responses,
    Carola

    Carola,
    I have no idea why this is happening. You may send the application export file (or the export file for page 60 only) to [email protected] and I will check it.

  • Getting "unique constraint" error while mapping customized jsp

    Hi,
    We are implementing iStore R12 (12.1.3).
    We have customized ibeCCtdMenu.jsp, renamed it as xxibeCCtdMenu.jsp and moved it to $OA_HTML/ folder.
    Now in template manager, we are creating a new source file (xxibeCCtdMenu.jsp) under "Menu generation template".
    However when we select site and language as "All", it gives following error:
    Error in saving logical to physical mapping
    ORA-00001: unique constraint (IBE.IBE_DSP_LGL_PHYS_MAP_U2) violated in Package IBE_PhysicalMap_GRP Procedure save_physicalmap
    All sites and all language exists already exists for deliverable 7670
    How can we overcome this error? Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Vivek

    for a given combination of Site and Language, only one template can exists.
    Default file provided by Oracle is set with combination as All Sites - All Languages, and you will not be able to change it.
    Register your file with combination such as All Sites - English Language
    or <specific site>, All language.
    Then it will work fine.

  • Insert / delete fails on unique constraint (order problem)

    Hi dear Kodo team,
    within a transaction, we are deleting a certain jdo object. The deletion is
    undone later (within the same tx), resulting in creating a new object with
    the same contents as the deleted one (gets another oid, of course). In our
    database, there is a unique constraint on two mapped fields of this object.
    Unfortunately, kodo issues the INSERT statement before the DELETE
    statement, thus producing a unique constraint violation.
    Is there a way to influence the statement order? Is there any solution other
    than disabling / deferring this constraint?
    Thanks in advance,
    Contus

    Beside Oracle, we are using our db schema on db platforms that do not
    support deferred constraints. That's why we would like to know if there is
    a way to influence statement order without removing those constraints.
    Thanks,
    Contus

    In general the best option is to use deferred constraints on all your FK
    and unique constraints. You still get complete referential integrity but
    do not need Kodo to order your statements for you. If you are already
    doing it but still get this error message and you are using Oracle 9.2 it
    seems to be a bug in oracle JDBC. I submitted it to oracle - they accepted
    it and supposedly working on resolution

    ETL will do a commit for every 10k records i believe. Might be when it is trying to insert the first 10k records it is having the duplicates. So check in the staging table whether that unique column combination is having any duplicates.

  • ORA-00001: unique constraint @ impdp with table_exists_action=truncate

    Hi everybody
    I can't understand why my data pump import execution with parameter TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION=TRUNCATE returned ORA-00001 (unique constraint violation), while importing schema tables from a remote database where the source tables have the same unique constraints as the corresponding ones on the target database.

    I forgot to read the last two lines of the documentation about TABLE_EXISTS_ACTION where it says:
    "TRUNCATE cannot be used on clustered tables or over network links."
    So it seems that it ignored the clause for the use of NETWORK_LINK and unreasonably opted for an APPEND action instead of throwing an error to highlight the conflicting parameters in the used configuration.

    Hi Torpedotown,
    Can you tell me what version of FlexRIO Adapter Module Support you are using?
    The 5761 Low Speed CLIP has a constraint that doesn't work properly with some versions of the compilation tools.  In order to solve this you should be able to upgrade to our latest version of FAM support, or go change the constraint manually.
    For the latest version of FAM support, go to http://ni.com/info and enter code "famsoftware"
    If you've modified constraint files before and feel comfortable doing it yourself, let me know and I can provide you with the details on how to do that.
    Thanks!

  • TopLink inserts when it should update, unique constraint exception

    The title says most of it. I am creating a series of objects and then updating them in rapid succession. It would be great to handle all the values during the insert, but it's not possible for this process. The majority of the time, the cached object is updated correctly and no problem occurs, but every once in a while TopLink tries to re-insert the previously inserted object, instead of updating it. Obviously this throws a unique constraint exception for the PK, and boots me out of the process.
    I can refreshObject and then it works fine. I'm looking for the underlying cause though. I want to be able to use the cache!
    Thanks!!
    Aaron
    Oracle JDBC driver Version: 10.2.0.3.0
    Oracle Database 10g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.4.0 - 64bit Production
    TopLink Release-Designation: 10g Release 3

    Hello,
    How are you obtaining these objects to update them? The likely cause is that you are running out of memory and the objects in the shared identity map are getting garbage collected due to weak references. This means that when they get registered, TopLink can't find them in the cache so assumes they are new (the default existence check is check cache).
    If this is the case, there are a few options.
    1) Increase the size of the cache for the class in question to something more appropriate for your application, or use a fullIdentyMap so nothing ever gets pushed out. Of course, a FullIdentityMap should not be used lightly as it prevents its objects from beign gc'd and has consequences to related objects as described in:
    Caching Causing Memory Leak Effect
    Both these options will require more memory resources though, so if garbage collection is running and clearing out the references because you are already low on memory, this might make GC need to run more frequently
    2) Increase the JVM memory. This assumes completely that GC is clearing out the unused weak references from your cache because it is low on memory - GC can still occur so it doesn't guarantee the problem will be any better
    3) Read in the object through the UnitofWork before making changes (instead of using RegisterObject on existing objects), use the registerExistingObject for known existing objects or use the uow mergeClone method. Merge should cause the object to be read from the database if it is not in the cache, but it depends on the existence options used
    Best Regards,

    You could try something like
    (extract(OBJECT_VALUE,compagnie/pilotes/pilote/brevet').getStringVal());
    but this is probably unadvisable.
    I suggest an alternative is for you to look at XMLINDEX so that you can bring the 'proper' XML functions into play like XMLTABLE etc.

  • Insert called before delete in a collection with unique constraint

    Hi all,
    I have a simple @OneToMany private mapping:
    private Collection<Item> items;
    @OneToMany(mappedBy = "parent", cascade = CascadeType.ALL)
    public Collection<Item> getItems() {
    return items;
    public void setItems(Collection<Item> items) {
    this.items = items;
    public void customize(ClassDescriptor classDescriptor) throws Exception {
    OneToManyMapping mapping = (OneToManyMapping)
    classDescriptor.getMappingForAttributeName("items");
    mapping.privateOwnedRelationship();
    I have a unique constraint on my Items table that a certain value cannot be duplicated.
    My problem appears when I remove a previously saved item from the collection and add a new item containing the same data, at the same time.
    After I save the parent and do a flush, I receive SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException because TopLink performs first an insert query instead of deleting the existing item.
    I tested the application and everything went fine with: remove item / save parent / insert item / save parent
    I checked on the Internet and the documentation but didn't find anything similar to my problem. I tried debugging TopLink's internal calls but I'm missing some general ideas about all the inner workings and don't know what to look for. I use TopLink version: Oracle TopLink Essentials - 2.1 (Build b60e-fcs (12/23/2008))
    Does anyone have a hint of what to look for?

    Thank you for the suggestions James
    As I mentioned briefly I have done some debugging but couldn't understand how collections are updated. What I did find out is that setShouldPerformDeletesFirst() doesn't come into play in this case because this is not a consecutive change on entities.
    What I have in my case is a collection inside an entity that the user has tampered with and now TopLink has to do a merge. I cannot call flush() in the middle since the user has not approved that the changes made to the entity should be saved.
    I see that for TopLink it's not easy to figure out the order in which changes were made to a collection. Here is pseudo-code of when the constraint is touched:
    entity.items.remove(a)
    entity.items.add(b)
    merge(entity)
    And here is code that executes without a problem:
    entity.items.remove(a)
    merge(entity)
    entity.items.add(b)
    merge(entity)
    So once again, I think that collection changes are managed differently but I don't find a way to tell TopLink how to handle them. Any ideas?

  • RFC call failing due to UNICODE implementation

    Hi
    We are trying to connect to a SAP system using the JCO (SAP-JAVA Connectivity). We are passing the user name as an input parameter and in turn the SAP system send back the no. of item (ABAP Type integer) pending for the user name to the java and its inserted/updated in Oracle DB (which does accept the unicode characters).
    It was all wokring fine untill the SAP system has been migrated to Unicode upgrade. Now the RFC call is getting failed from our system. On analysis we found with debug, that the user name is not getting accepted by the SAP system and throwing the error -says Exception in thread "main" com.sap.aii.proxy.framework.core.BaseProxyException: Conversion error between two character sets., error key: RFC_ERROR_SYSTEM_FAILURE and at the SAP end the error says "Conversion of "UNAME" from code page 4103 to 4102 is failed". The unicode change in SAP system cannot be reverted back due to some constraints.
    Can you please help, how can we pass the user name as encoded in character set 4102 or any other solution so that it can be accepted by SAP and run the Function module and return the data.
    Many Thanks
    Snehil Joshi

    Check RFC destination in Tx SM59. You must have one tab for unicode settings.

  • Transport Request got failed due to Source system does not Exist

    Dear All,
    I Have collected All data soruces which are related to R3 data sources and Flat File data sources...
    After import the transport request it got failed due to Flata file source system does not exist in BI quality system.
    But all data sources related to R3 and R3 Source system has been moved which are available in BI Quality sytem also.
    why Flat File source and data source are moving.. why i am not sure it was throuing error message called Source System does not exist..
    Thanks,
    Ven

    Dear Venkat ,
    Go to Quality system .
    Use RSA1 Transaction --> go to Tools --> Manage Source System :
    Here you can map the entry  of system ..
    Second : go to Development system under RSA1> Transport Connection and click on Source system button first --> select your source system ---you  can select multiple entry also ..collect your data source ( with before and after option ) and deselect which object you do not need ..And select collection mode to automatically ...
    use the transport button to create  transport request and release from development system .
    I hope you will not get error in Q system .
    If still facing error , Please let me know.

  • Insert result of query into a table with unique constraint

    Hi,
    I have a query result that I would like to store in a table. The target table has a unique constraint. In MySQL you can do
    insert IGNORE into myResultTable <...select statement...>
    The IGNORE clause means if inserting a row would violate a unique or primary key constraint, do not insert the row, but continue inserting the rest of the query. Leaving the IGNORE clause out would cause the insert to fail and an error to return.
    I would like to do this in oracle... that is insert the results of a query that are not already in the target table. What is the best way to do this? One way is use a procedural language and loop through the first query, checking to see if each row is a duplicate before inserting it. I would think this would be slow if there are lots of records. Other options...
    insert into myTargetTable
    select value from mySourceTable where ... and not exists (select 'x' from myTargetTable where value = mySourceTable.value)
    insert into myTargetTable
    select mySourceTable.value
    from myTargetTable RIGHT JOIN mySourceTable
    ON myTargetTable.value = mySourceTable.value
    where ...
    and myTargetTable.value IS NULL
    any other suggestions?
    Thanks,
    Simon

    Try doing a MINUS instead of not exists., ie Source MINUS Target.
    Disabling the constraint will not help you since this will allow the duplicate rows to be inserted into the table. I don't think you want this.

  • BPM11G- Error deploying project due to integrity constraint on  BPM_CUBE_GL

    I have a 11.1.1.3 installation on XP where I have deployed other soa projects. I tried deploying a new bpm project from a tutorial but it always errors out with the following error. I checked the local database for all BPM_CUBE* tables. Only one table had a few entries that I cleaned out. No luck with deploying a bpm project. I checked the forums here as well, but there do not appear to be any earlier problems logged.
