  • ABAP Mapping Support in PI 7.1

    Experts,
Will there be ABAP Mapping support going forward in PI 7.1 ? I have heard that ABAP mappings are "not recomended". Is there a reason/logic behind it ?
Any ideas will be of help.
    Thanks,
    AM

    > Will there be ABAP Mapping support going forward in PI 7.1 ?
Yes PI7.1 will support ABAP Mapping.
    >I have heard that ABAP mappings are "not recomended". Is there a reason/logic behind it ?
Performance point of view its not adviceble to implement ABAP Mapping. But if you follow best coding standards we can use ABAP mapping too..

  • 5700 heat-map support

does 5700 have the heat-map support? can i load a floor-plan to the controller. i know we can make this with wcs. aruba saying that in 7200 specifications controller must have load floor plan option.

The floor plans used in a Cisco Unified Wireless Network are used in WCS, NCS and or Prime Infrastructure. Floor plans are never uploaded on the controller.

  • Can esb DVM(Domain-value mapping ) support multi-language  ?

I create a dvm , and add some rows in Chinese , but when I restart the soa service , all the DVM that I created disappeared.
    Can esb DVM(Domain-value mapping ) support multi-language ?

DVM is designed to use in English only and not intended to support Multi language. It is the job of consumer application to convert from English to native language(Chinese in your case).

  • Does Mapviewer / Oracle Maps support file based raster imagery

    Forum:
We have 1000's of ortho images that we are attempting to serve - with Oracle Vector data - using Oracle Maps.
mapviewe supports Georaster, and Image themes - and one can use Mapbuilder rather well to configure the system for these.
However - is there a way (other than to use a non-oracle WMS server) to serve up ortho images from their disk based locations if you do not want do load all your aerial photography into the database ?
And again thank you in advance.
    JF

    Hi,
if you have a non-Oracle WMS server that gives access to these images, you may define an external map cache source to access these images. Oracle Mapviewer provides a WMSAdapter class implementation that can be used in this case.
The follwing example shows the definition of an external map cache for Oracle Maps. Notice the adapter_class (which is shipped with MapViewer) and the properties parameters (which are used to define a WMS request).

  • Is OVI Maps supported on C2-02 in India?

Nokia India website says OVI Maps is supported on C2-02 in India. I installed OVI Maps using OVI suite and it said maps was successfully installed. However, I cant find the application icon in the phone memory/sd card. I took this to the Nokia Care Center and they said OVI maps is not supported.
Trying to figure out if OVI Maps is supported in India on Nokia C2-02? How do i get OVI Maps on Nokia C2-02?

  • Multi Table mapping support in EJB 3

    Hi,
I wanted to get some inputs regarding the @SecondaryTables / @SecondaryTable annotation support in JSR 220 ..
As per my understanding its to be used to map the logical Entity(in java) to physically different Datasources ??
Basically the requirement is that given a POJO Entity in java , one can map the various properties to the columns of different Table's.
Say I have defined multiple datasources viz. MySql, Oracle, HSQL etc..
I should be able to map my Java entity to some of the columns of these DB's tables !!!
As per my experiments, I have been able to define multiple Persistence Units..
Say .PAR archives which has the persistence.xml file.
However I haven't been able to achieve the above requiement ..
It seems that one can only use the same physical DB & the different schema tables for mapping the Entity ?
Can someone elaborate more on this Annotation ?

  • Maps support

I noticed that I haven't had any map-upgrades for awhile?
I thought Nokia said that Symbian would have support upto 2016?
Not to mention that Nokia said lifetime free maps. I understand that they mean the lifetime o/t device. My device is bought in early 2013. Standard consumer warranty is upto early 2015 so expect at least map-upgrades upto end-2015. Come on Nokia. Take your responsability and provide us with the support we deserve. After all Nokia Symbian customers are ALSO customers. Or is our money of less value than that of Lumia customers?

    Morgoth81 wrote:
Unfortunately, Nokia always was talking about (device-)life-long NAVIGATION. You still can navigate, till your device brakes. That has nothing to do with UPDATES for the navigation. I think, it was formulated mistakable on purpose, but well, it doesn't matter...
And to the Symbian support: Well, the store ist still open, although there won't be any updates since this year. You can still download the symbian-installation-files to completly re-install your phone etc.
I know, it's not that, what I was expecting either, but that's the problem with unclear formulations.
Nokia ought to atleast supply suport/upgrades to honour the warranty period. This means end of 2015 for many 808PV customers.
    1) The fact remains that the 808PV was one o/t most expensive Nokia phones. You can't expect customers to throw that phone in the bin after merely 1 year and a few months.
    2) Fact 2. There STILL isn't a full replacement for that 808PV from Nokia. WP-devices STILL haven't got the featureset of a Symbian device and Harmatan-devices are also discarded. What Nokia seems to forget is that some customers rely on that particular featureset (or some of these unique features in particular) and that they can't simply toss that 808PV away and get, for example, a Lumia 1020 to replace it.
For instance I rely on local (USB/WIFI/BT) syncing. Do Nokia (and Microsoft) really expect me to discard my expensive Office 2007 professional with Outlook which holds my entire client database that I bought when I became self-employed? A address-list that contains over 700 customers with typical data like telephonenos, address and email and which I only locally sync to my phone due to privacy concerns as some of these clients have supplied me their unlisted private telenos. Unless Microsoft/Nokia pay me for this clients-list just as I had to do when I started my small business years ago. Then they can have my entire company with it as well.
This is especially ridiculous sine both products WP and MS Office come from the same company. Yet, a Windows Phone can't locally sync with Microsoft's primary PIM... Office Outlook. MS own tools like Mobility Center or Sync Center which are included in MS own OS's are unhelpfull in that matter. Though there is a 3rd party (non-MS) app that can (finally) sync a WP-device with MS Office Outlook. It's not cheap and it should be supplied by Microsoft itself.
Or what about this? I use an automatic callrecorder app to record calls when I drive (between clients). Due to the fact that using a phone while driving is prohibited in my country (and many other countries). While my calls only contain appointments, names, addresses and telephone nos., I unfortunatley can't spend money on a secretary or telephone-service/dispatching-agency nor have a spouse at home working for me either to take notes from callers. So a callrecorder is the perfect solution. It allows me to jot down all the appointements gathered through the day into my PIM when I get home in the evening. This is the ideal tool for any self-employed road-warrior like doctors, taxi-drivers, plumbers who deal with clients directly (and need to jot down apointement/PIM-data). An important tool that is much overlooked and unfortunately STILL isn't available in WP (though it was available for some earlier WM6.x-devices).
I couldn't care less what OS my smartphone runs if it does what I need. Unfortunately WP still isn't there. After all this time and all these fancy upgrades with those flashy names like Nokia Black etc... In fact I find it strange that the combined forces of Nokia and Microsoft still haven't come up the most awesome smartphone on the planet! A device which should have had the most advanced featureset, the very best imaging coupled with the best tools and apps imaginable since they both have years of experience in software & hardware. MS even has a whole lot of experience in Game-building/consoles/etc. Yet all we get is that abomination also known as Lumia. It's disgusting!
    3) then there's the obligatory warranty period. Nokia should at least respect that period and provide necesary updates and upgrades when needed during that time.
    4) A device lifetime is much longer than 1 year and a few months! Even Samsung respect that (see how they still provide updates for their SGS3)
Fact of the matter is that map-data is just ordnance-data. I fail to see why Lumia's (who's mapp-app is less evolved than Symbian's app) would have different data (or a Jolla device which also uses Here-maps for that matter) then Symbian's Map-apps? This is pure discrimination.
Does Nokia really think that by bullying us we'll buy Lumia's? I think NOT!
While Nokia could make it so easy. Just keep manufacturing that 808PV (since it still is a class of its own with regards to imaging) and sell it as an advanced camera-phone instead of a "smartphone". It can be sold a little bit cheaper than that Lumia 1020 as an alternative for people who care less about apps and more about a phone with great (still) imaging. It still has basic smartphone functionality and a few unique and unrivalled tricks of its own (FM-transmitter, pure multitasking, call-recording etc...) and might be easier to use as a phone thanks to its reall call & hang-up buttons. Then nobody would question Symbian's limited apps selection compared to the other (big) smartphones.
But it seems that Nokia's current CEO only knows how to discard things instead of turning these assets into something usefull. A real professional if you ask me. He gave me the best of confidence in Nokia by disrespecting my rights as a consumer and discarding me as a customer. I'll sure remember that when I buy another +500 euro phone.
    Cheers

  • Offline maps supporting AIR API ?

Do you know of any vendors who would license offline street maps, and support AIR/Flex API ? Or maybe you have suggestions on a map caching mechanism, something similar to a web browser cache but obviously missing in pure AIR environment.
I need to deploy it on 100-200 devices.

  • I Love The Map Support

    Great Beta!
Would love to see KML/KMZ layer or pin support on map module. The I can see if images are out of place based on my Google Earth pin's which I can export from Google Earth, Import into LR4.
Also, when clicking on many images (orange button with a big number) metadata is = <mixed>. Would like to see this refect the image being show, and updating when going forward/backwards.
    Color customize. e.g: year 20101=orange, 2008=blue, 2007=red...etc..etc. User config.
Seems really stable for a beta. Running 64bit.
    Thanks

    Hi,
I basically use LR for validation of metadata (keywords and GPS). While Geocoding is possible, via a plugin or nativitly, its not really possible to do 10's of thousands of images. I use a special app for this which wiorks very well.
In in current state, LR4 offers a interesting map feature, which good for managing small catalogs (a few thousand). In my case it would not provide me much in terms of my workflow.
I will try to give an example.
Catalog contains 100K images (mine in much larger)
Lets say we filter by the keyword 'Stadiums"
    I'm presented with 15,000 images
I then move to my map view and see clusters of images on a map. They represent all the stadiums in USA.
What I need to do is zoom into each cluster and verify that the pictues are on top of satalite images of that stadium. Very slow.
If I had pins (and maybe rollover or click to see the text label) I could see various pins on a map and I would see the images always near a pin. If a set of images were nowhere near a pin, then I know something is out of place.
In Google Earth, you can organize pins into folders, and you can hide/display them by ticking and unticking a folder in "My Places". The same thing would be needed in LR4. So not all pins are displayed (Stadiums, shopping center's, parks, etc) and I could just select Stadium's to see stadium pins., for matching up with images.
When working with 100's of thousands of images, this would greatly speed up my workflow (validation).
    Thanks

  • MAP Support on OCSB

    Hi,
I want to develop a system which will get the CGI (cell global identity) value from HLR using ATI (Any Time Interrogation) using MAP protocol over SS7.
So, i want to know that whether OCSB support MAP protocol or not?
As per below link, in the key features it is mentioned that OCSB supports SS7 Protocol Support: INAP (CS-1), CAP (ph. 1-4), AIN, WIN (ph. 1-2), MAP, ANSI 41C/D
    http://www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/communications-service-broker-071340.html
As per below link, in Comprehensive Standards and Platform Support MAP is mentioned but in the diagram it is missing
    http://www.oracle.com/us/industries/communications/communications-service-broker-ds-071341.pdf
I have not found any information in the documentation of OCSB 3.1
    Can anybody help in this?
    regards,
    Ahsan

It's not that Adobe does not support iOS, it's that Apple does not allow third party plugins on the mobile version of Safari.

  • Does Map Support User-Defined Object As Key?

    Hi,
    Map m = new HashMap();
    m.put(myobj1, "Hello");
    m.put(myobj2, "World");
I'm using my own object as the key for the map.
Since the key is a user-defined object, I would need to overload the equality operator in order to get the value.
Now, if I would to do something like this:
    MyObj myObj = (MyObj)m.get(myobj3);
I found out that the equality operator for MyObj never even executes (by printing out some message). But if I would to retrieve using the original myobj1 and myobj2 object, then only the equality operator would get executed.
If I would to do the above using the String object instead of MyObj, the equality operator works fine.
I can't seemed to find a reason for the above behaviour. Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance.

In a hashmap, the object is located/stored by calculating its hash code. Therefore, you need to also override the hashCode() method of the Object class so that the same objects return the same hashCode, so that you can retrieve your objects.

  • Will the iPhone 5 support BT Message Access Profile (MAP)?

Will the iPhone 5 support BT Message Access Profile (MAP)?

According to this article: http://www.macworld.com/article/1167240/ios_6_features_you_might_have_missed.htm l
It does...  I saw a photo of the relevant slide that was put up during the iOS 6 announcement, but am too lazy to look for it now.
It's possible it may not have made it into the final release. Apple never made any statements about it as far as I know beyond the slide referenced.
Near the end of the iOS portion of the keynote, Apple showed a slide listing a host of other features included in the iOS 6 update. Among those were Game Center challenges, the ability to connect Game Center friends from Facebook, VoiceOver improvements, personal dictionary in iCloud (for adding your own terms to the dictionary, which can sync between devices), and per-account signatures in Mail. Also on the list was improved privacy, which—as a new option in Settings—will let you control which apps can access which bits of personal data, like your Contacts, Calendar, or Photos. Other features on the list included autocorrection for every keyboard,Bluetooth MAP support (which is commonly used to help cars better offer hands-free communication with Bluetooth devices), kernel ASLR (which aims to make data even more impervious to snooping from malicious attackers), custom vibrations for alerts, redesigned stores (for the App and iTunes stores), IPv6 support for Wi-Fi and LTE, word highlights for speak selection, improved keyboard layouts, alarms with songs, and faster JavaScript in Safari. Apple also says iOS 6 includes a global HTTP proxy option, which would supplant the current approach, limited as it is to per-connection proxy settings."

You need to ask about availability of the final product on the maps 3 beta forum.  You will most likely will not get an official answer here.
