Mass local transport request change to Particular Target Server

Hi there,
we have like 150+ local transport request and now we are looking to do mass changes to Particular transport request server? any programs that would do this? or any other way?
Thanks in advance
Kumar

edit:  First and foremost, backup your DB!!
1.  Get downtime for the system.  It's just not smart moving in that many chagnes w/ the system running.
2.  Shut the system down.  Lock all the users (you can do this via updating USR02, set UFLAG = 64).
3.  Backup the current buffer file:  should be in the trans\buffer folder.  Delete it afterwards.
3.  Start SAP.
4.  Copy and paste the transports into a spread, generate a list that looks like this:
tp pf=
sharepath\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL addtobuffer <transport> <SID>
Run this in order, make sure the transport dependencies are correct in order.
After this, you should have generated a large buffer, with all the 150+ transports, in order they are to be into the system.
5.  Run tp IMPORT ALL <SID> CLIENT=### u12356 pf=
networkshare\TP_DOMAIN_<SID>.PFL
This will move all 150+ changes into the system at once.
6.  Unlock users, restart SAP system.

  • Import GP Local Transport Request  Package

    Hi, SDN Expert.
I am trying to move my GP Process from one system to another system.
I have create the transport package in sda format in to my local drive through "GP Transport" --> "Create transport request". When I tried to import the transport package through  "GP Transport" --> "Import transport request". The only option for me to import the package is through End Point Alias.  I do not have the End Point Alias setup, as I plan to import the transport package locally.
My question is what is the right channel to import the sda package that I have exported? Is that through "GP Transport" --> "Import transport request" (but I don't see that option to import sda). Or I can use SDM tool to do so?
    Thanks,
    KC

    Hello,
if you are using netweaver 7.0 :
After exporting there is an option "download sca file", click there , download it to your pc and then you will have to use SDM to upload it in the destination system.
Then you have to release the transported objects:
After uploading it, log in into the destination system , go to guided procedures -> administration -> Import transport requests --> go to the process you transported and select it so you can release it for use.
    Regards,
    Marco.

  • To revert back a transport request from prd to dev server

    hi experts
how to revert back a transport request from prd server to
        dev server?
a transport request has been wrongly transported
and it has make major changes in production server,
now  we want to revert back that request , we know the   request no.
    regards

All you have to do is create an order of transport type "Transport of copies" in PRO.
I give you the steps to follow:
    1. Go to SE01 and create a new order (remember the type "Transport of copies").
    2. Enter the data of the order of transport that is going to come back.
    3. Enter the target, here is where you asign the target system to carry the request.
    4. Now just add the number of request to the new request you just created.
    5. Finally released the request from this transaction.
    6. Check on the queue of transport in DES, the request must appear there.
    I hope you serve =)

  • How to transport requests from development  to production server

    hi gurus
    i am new to SDN
can u pls give me detailed information how to transport requests from development server to production server?if possible give me screen shot documents
    regards
    surya

    Hi
    Transporting
There are help pages that discuss creation of transports.
In simple terms, you: create a transport package
add objects to the package  export the package, plus optionally any related objects to a predefined folder/directory on the portal server into a file with an extension of .EPA copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your QA system and import it  test the contents on the QA system  copy the .EPA file to the import folder of your production system and import it  Create a transport package file
Here is the step by step procedure to create a transport package:
    For Export
    1. Go to system administration, and click on transport?export.
    2. In the middle pane, select the folder you want to export and right click on the Transport Package. 3. Fill in the General Properties i.e the name of the package, id and description. 4. And say finish and open the object for editing.
    5. When the object has been opened then right click on the object you want to transport, and say "Add object to the Transport Package".
    6. Check the checkbox of the item u have added and see the properties if it has been added properly. 7. Now click on the save button.
    8. After the object is saved, click on the export button. 9. U will have an option to select where to store the .epa file which will be generated. U can overwrite an existing one by selecting the browse button, or store it with the generated name in the location it automatically generates. 10. Now Click on the Start Export button.
    11. once the export is completed, it shows a report on how much time is taken to generate the .epa file. 12. Here there is an option for downloading the .epa file. Click on the link and download the file. This file is ready to be uploaded into any other EP Server.
    For Import:
Pre-requisites: You have to copy the .epa file created while export into the local drive. Optionally, you have to manually copy the .epa file generated in the export function into the Import directory of the server ie. chooseFollow the steps below for importing a certain file. 1. Go to System Administration in the portal, and click on Transport?Import. 2. For the source of the package, Click on the radio button Server for the .epa file you have copied lately. Else, click on the radio button on client if you are operating in the client and select the .epa file you have stored on the local drive. 3. Now select the file from the browse option and click on Upload.
    4. Now click on the import button. 5. Once the import process is finished, the report is shown. In the whole process, the par files are not included in the .epa files. For the par files to be included into the .epa files then we have to change the pcdStartup.properties file in the server. The property to be changed is Pcd.TransportApplication.Export.ExcludeObjectTypesAfterRuleProcessing: Keep this property's value as empty for enabling the par files to be uploaded into the .epa. You can check for this property in the portal in the following -System Administration-Support-Portal Content Directory-PCD Configuration.

  • Local Transport Request

    Hello Friends,
I have a local change request which contains multiple Z programs all of them belongs to one Z package ,
I want to assign this to a target system, how should I do this.
    Kind Regards,
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
Just go to Object Directory Entry of the program and click on Change Button there and give the Package name which will ask you to mention the TR number. Create the TR and you can see the Target System during the creation of TR itself and you can transport the same.

  • Reversing transport request (Changes)

I have made changes to a program and transported to quality. Test has failed. How can i reverse all the changes in one go. Is there way to reverse the TR.
    Thanks

    Hi,
until yet reverse transports are not provided by SAP.
Sometime it is much manual work getting back to previous state.
You have to retrieve old version for each software component in the development system. For SAP Script there is no versioning at all!
Sometimes I prepare a reverse transport to face problems going live.
Additionally we built up a transport way from SAP live system to our development system. So we can bring systems in front of the live system closer to it. This is a good deal especially for the development system, which normally will not be renewed.

  • Change of Source client in transport request

    Hi Gurus,
I want to change source client of transport request
Since I want to transport request between clients of same server.
    I did it using scc1
But when I want to make any changes to form which was included in that request it is saying
Request/task DEVK***** has invalid source client XXX
I am trying this in YYY client
    Please provide solution
Thanks in advance for your efforts

    Yogesh,
Does both the clients allow development in the server? Generally it should not be the case.
Does the client still exists in the server?
Here is a thread with replies for such an error message.

  • Locationg source system object  transport request number in target system .

    Hi,
After the object is pushed from source system to target using SCC1 for cross clients but same systems or STMS for cross-systems, if we want to see the object's source system's transport request number in the target system, how can we see that ?
    Regards,
    Rajesh.

    Hi Rajesh
If my understanding is correct you want to know the source server in the target system( i.e where we have transported).
For cross-system objects, as you know we use STMS to transport them...
    In the target system:
    1. SE10
    2. Click on Transports button.
    3. Select the required request and expand the node.
    4. You will have the first one which has log only for Export.
The node with only Export log is the source system...
    Hope this helps...
    Kind Regards

  • New Requests created are in 'Local Workbench Request' in R3 Development

    Hello ,
I am going to transport data sources from R3 Dev to R3 Quality.
I have successfully transported the package (which is created in SE80 ) and Application componenet hierarchy and all active version data source RSA6 to R3 Quality .
I have also checked that the package , application transport hierarchy and data sources in R3 Quality.
Now when I tried to create new requests for LBWE data sources ( maintain extract structure , generate data source) , I am getting a message Create Customizing Request , So I created Customizing Request and then I am getting message to create Local Workbench request. If I create local workbench request then it can not be imported to R3 Quality.
Client R3 is open SCC4 settings are 'Automatic Recording of Changes ' and 'Changes to repository and cross client customizing are allowed'.
I am not getting why the system is not asking me to created 'Workbench Request'.
    Thanks and Regards ,
    Amol Kulkarni

    Hello Viren ,
Local Transport Request are not transportable even if we release them.
I have resolved the issue in the below way ,
I went to SE21 and entered the package name as 'YBW' and then clicked on change .
Then Click on properties tab and then select Transport layer as SAP and save.
Go to SE80 and select package and in dictonary Objects drill down view ...right click on any selected view name ...go to other function and click on Write Transport Entry...mention request from Own Request tab which was earlier as Local Workbench Request.
Then go to SE10 and double click on request and go to properties tab ...there select Target Group as
R3 Quality Server name and save it.
Transport the package to R3 Quality.
Henceforth whichever request u create will be of type 'Workbench Request'.
go to SE10 and cross check that your request is now Workbench Request,

  • Question to local workbench request

    Hi,
I have question to local workbench request. If this kind of request is released, is it stored also in the local transport folder (/usr/sap/trans...) in the file system? Or where I can find it?
    Thanks for your answers.

    Hello Andreas,
A local workbench TR or for that matter any local Transport Request is one which has no target group/target system assigned to it and hence even after releasing it the changes stored in it don't get moved to other systems.
A local TR when released does not get stored in /usr/sap/trans folder as data and co-files for local TRs don't get created.
A released local TR can be viewed in SE01 transaction in SAP.
Please let us know what is your exact requirement with local workbench TR? May be we will be able to help you out with that.
PS award points if you found this answer useful.
    Regards.

  • How to find out the transport request that a report is locked to?

    Hello Experts,
I have to transport a report to production system.
The report has already been assigned to a transport request.
How do I find as to which transport request is the particular report assigned to.
Any place where I can check for the locks on a report ?
Any advice is very much helpful...

    Hello Venkat,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
Actually i had tried it. but unfortunately, NO request number is shown. The Only nessage i'm getting is
" Source systems can not be transported."
The report is opening in RRMX in change mode.
    This implies 2 things,
    1. The report is already assigned to a transport request. OR
    2. Its assigned to $temp.
But if the report is stored as $temp, while tranporting in transport connection, it should ask for a transport request and also ask for the development class. Which is not happening
Any other places to look for ?????

    Hi Dominik
What is the target of this transport request? Are you sure it's not marked as "local" in transaction SE01 for example? Because if it is a local transport request, it will not generate a file.

  • Datafile missing for a Transport Request

    Dear Sir,

Due to this , we can not import the request in our production server also .
    Kindly help us pl .

    Sonia Agarwala

    Hello,
First check the type of your transport request, probably it will be a "local transport" request.
Local transport requests do not generate data and cofiles when they are released.
Probably your current TMS setup does not allow you to release transports from the QA system.
What you can always do is creating a transport of type : "Transport of copies" and manually add your objects you want to transport.
Do not forget to fill in the "target" field in your transport, otherwise when you release it it will be again a local transport without data and cofile.
