Mass updation of portal roles SAP portal

Hello,
During conversion , is there a way to mass update Manager (MSS) roles for users in Portal without doing it manually one by one. Your help will be appreciated.

Yes we can do it by using UME Script. so that you can write a UME script for Group, Role and user. after writing script then import it;
Steps -
1) Copy the following UME Scripts
2) Navigate to the following location in the Portal
User Administration Import
3) Paste each configuration script into the text box in the following order - IMPORTANT
u2022     UME_xxxx_Groups
u2022     UME_xxxx_Roles
u2022     UME_xxxx_Users
4) Ensure u201COverwrite Existing Datau201D is checked, and select u201CUploadu201D

SAP license: mass update

Hello Experts,
I have about 200 users for which I need to update the SAP license in our Business Warehouse system. Is there any way to do a mass update of licenses? I see there is a mass change option under the Environment menu of transaction SU01, but I don't see an option to change licenses here. All of the users need to be changed to the same license type. Any help is appreciated.

Mass gerneration of derived roles

Hello,
I've got two questions concerning mass generation of roles.
1)
In a system are implented certain roles. Sometimes we're getting an update of the parent roles. In the next step we have to derivate all kind roles manually. This is very costly for a lot of roles.
I know the point "mass generation" in PFCG, but if we use this with option "all roles to be compared" the derived roles will not be compared. Even if I do this in same system (changing the parent role, choosing option the mentioned option) the kind role will not be updated. Is there a possibility to solve this problem or make the derivation faster without touching each parent role?
2)
I want to do the derivation of roles automatically. I read here something about LSMW, Batch-Input or CATT scripts. Can anybody explain me how it exactly works with this automatic derivation of roles?

Thanks for your possibilities to solve the problem.
I think the first problem with the derivation of roles after update of parent role could be solved with your mentioned report and eCATT.
But with the second problem I still have trouble. I tried to use eCATT with transaction SECATT in SAP system. This works fine as long the roles have the same organizational levels.
But I think that there has got to be a script for each role, because the organizational levels differ from role to role. So if you have e.g. 100 parent roles in your system, you have to create 100 scripts (apart from the question, if it's reasonable to have so much parent roles). It's helpful that the parameters can be stored in a data container, but additionally you have to know, which script concernes which roles and you have got to use the right script for right role.
Or did I overlooked something in eCATT?

Mass recertification of business roles

Hi community,
I was wondering if there is a possibility to perform a mass recertification of business roles in GRC frontend. Via Role Maintenance, one can re-certify each role manually, but if you have 10.000 roles, this is obviously not a solution.
I did not find any suitable way via Mass Update, or I kind of overseen the attribute. Do you know any way to perform a mass role recertification in NWBC?

Mass update exchange rate type (not rate) in open sales orders

Hi all,
Our requirement is to update the exchange rate type at sales order header (VBAK-KURST) for all open sales orders with a new type created. (Z001). This field does not appear in MASS transaction for sales orders despite being present in the structure MASSSDHEAD.
This field cannot be located even in VA02 transaction (I am not sure if standard SAP masks or shows this field at header; I also can't find any transaction variants assigned).
Can anyone suggest how this field can be updated for sales orders either individually or in mass mode.

You are correct in indicating that Exchange rate type field is not seen in Header data of sales order. I checked screen layouts for various screens for sales order data and this field is not suppressed. The only reason could be that this field is not used in sales order screens
If you are interested, you could also check in the following way
1. Go to SE11, enter database table as VBAK
2. Once inside data dictionary table, click where used list button, select programs and screens and execute
3. click continue (don't select background)
4. now you would have list of programs and screens, this table is used
5. now start another session and go to transaction SE51
6. indicate program name as SAPMV45A and screen numbers as listed in step 4. you can check all screen numbers to see whether Exchange rate type field is listed in sales order layout.
7. Of particular interest would be screen number 4311 as this contains Financial accounting data & 4303 Billing data
8. you can check screen layout for screen 4311 & 4303. you would see Exchange rate type field is not indicated.
9. in case you could find this field in any screen, you could ask your ABAP consultant to add this field in the layout screen.

Mass updating a multi-valued field- to append the new value

I have a question on multi-valued fields:
I have store table with 5 multi-valued fields, say MLB, soccer, college FTBL, college Basketball, etc.
A store can have 4 MLBs, 2 soccer teams, and so on.
Say, there is a new MLB that came out called Mexico MLB team.
A user wanted to add this to 30 stores using a mass update. But remember the 30 stores can have totally different sets of values in the multi-valued fields.
How can I add this new value while still preserving the MLB teams values of each store record?
Does MDM not support this feature?
I am using SAP MDM SP6
An answer would be highly appreciated.

Savi,
I assume you are defined these fields as multi-value lookup and linked to main table. In general, you can not because it will mess up and overwrite your multi-value entries for all of your 30 store records.
Here is something in MDM come in handy. It is following the same concept but design your model a little differently. If you model your multi-value fields into qualified lookup table, it will be easier and optimized to handle.
You can select all 30 records and mass-update with adding the new MLB entry into your Q-lookup table. Once you save, this mass-update action will respect all your diversity of each individual records with the new value added.

Mass Update of Business Partner Data in CRM

Hi,
I would like to know how I can perform a mass update of business partner data in CRM and then have this replicated into R/3.
I have found notes 802804, 876602, 859632 but these only apply to CRM 5.0 and we are currently working on CRM 4.0. Does anyone know of anything similar which exists in CRM 4.0?
I have checked other posts and found help files links like the one below but is this only on CRM 5.0? (http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm50/helpdata/en/3c/9b56fae6c7424cafcdf17370399812/frameset.htm )
Has anyone used the tx. MASS in CRM?
Also our volume update levels is as high as 300,000 record and updating in CRM and replicating into R/3 through the middleware is causing performance problems.
Does anyone have any tips on the best approach for this? Many thanks.

Mass not available in 4.0, could write your own LSMW routine but you still will create bdocs for updates so not sure how that will improve your performance.

Transaction to Mass Update Header and Item text in Purchase Order

You can make use of BAPI_PO_CHANGE for this. See the documentation of this BAPI in SE37 for more information.

Mass updates for Notification/Workorder status

Is there any way for Mass update of 'status' because orders and notifications need to be un-teco before updating planner groups and work centers? we are using Mass update for IW58,IW38 & IW29 and there is no option for STATUS update.

In IW28 & IW58 there is option u201CPut in Processu201D in Notification Menu, but when I used this option it says u201CNotification is completed -> can only be displayedu201D. I wonder why this option is not working if Notification is completed.

Service master mass update

We have issue in which while creating Service master, wrong unit of measure was used.
Now to correct this, we need to do mass update of these service masters created.

Mass updates to move lots of positions to one org unit

Hi All,
Can anybody tell me in SAP whether there is a transaction or way to perform mass updates to move lots of positions to one org unit ?
Our users have to perform Re-org changes so they would like to know whether there is a way to move positions at once.

I am assuming that your requirement is to move mass users from One Org node to another. Ex One Plant Org node to Another plant Org node.
If my assumption is correct then, please follow the below steps.
1) Go in to the change mode of Org Plan using T-code PPOMA_BBP
2) Using shift key, select all the users that you need to move.
3) Drag and Drop the selected users to the desired Org node.
If the user IDs are not in sequence then you can use Ctrl key to select the relevant user ID.

Through MD61 using either material number, product group , plan etc... we can update PIR s for limited part numbners only
is there any otehr transaction through which we can updated for mass
we have to update almost for 2000 parts
BDC also shall not be useful
any way to directly upload copying from some excel
any standard SAP transaction code for mass updation of PIR s?

Either you can use the BAPI mentioned by our friend.
OR
Goto Tcode : MD61 and enter the Material / Plant and goto the intial screen and Copy paste the Material Number and Qty from An Excel sheet upto the number rows displayed in MD61 screen and press enter and then Click Page Down Ikon, system will show the new rows where you can copy and paste again from the Excel sheet and Repest the steps to complete 2000 materials.
OR
You can create the BDC , BDC will work for Tcode : MD61 .

There is a catch in it... The screen delivered by SAP for CK94 has a problem... If you have more than 6 Proc Alternatives, even LSMW wont help...
LSMW can help only if you have upto 6 proc alt.. if more than that, you have to do it manually....
I debugged the Std program with my ABAPer for whole long day.. What we discovered was that SAP hos not given the PAGE DOWN option, usually given in all the screens.... So, no BAPI/BADI/LSMW can help of Proc Alt > 6

Mass Update Actions in production environment

Hi,
We have a requirement of updating some action scheduling/start conditions in production environment. The issue that we are facing is the number of crm objects that already have this action scheduled are running into hundreds of thousands. We effectively want the actions to be redetermined (similar to how one goes into the object in edit mode) for a huge number of objects.
Is there a utility that SAP provide to mass update actions based on action definition? I understand that we can debug the update to 'ppfttrigg' table when we go into edit mode and simulate a utility ourselves. However, was looking for a generic solution, if provided by SAP.

Hello,
we also missed this function when we started using derivation of roles. I developed some years ago a program which does this, also possible to start it in background mode. It runs daily (in front of PFCG_TIME_DEPENDENCY) and adjust derived roles from updated parent roles (which came into the system via transport request).
Because I developed the program in my working time it's owned by my company, therefore I can not post the source. Just a few hints:
- parent roles and derived roles: you will find them in table AGR_DEFINE
- roles imported into the system: with function module TMS_TM_GET_TRLIST you can get yesterday's imported transport requests, you can read the object list with function module TMS_WBO_READ_REQUEST (those with R3TR ACGR have roles in it).
- build up an internal table of parent roles (consider the derivation level: first process the top level role, then it's derived roles, and then their derived roles and so on).
- use function module SUPRN_TRANSFER_AUTH_DATA for adjusting the derived roles of a parent role.
