Master Data in Prod Server

Hi All,
I have uploaded around 2000 employees in production server and its fine.......
Before running payroll, the business is asking to exclude around 300 employees of particular Business Area for payroll.
h1.Business Scenarioh1.
As logistic module like SD/MM is done in leagcy system and SAP is not implemented for this business area, hence they dont want to process HR data ie payroll only.
h2.Business Demandh2.
1.     All master data for 300 employees has to be deleted to exclude them from payroll and all HR activity in SAP.
h3.My Thoughth3.
1.  Whether these employees should be terminated before golive date.
2.   As SAP recommends not to delete any employee in production client.
Hence kindly suggest how to proceed by giving the best solution

    Dear Experts
I am getting the following error message while adding item in Item Master data. I have modified the following SBO_SP_transactionNotification in SQL server after that could not able to add the item
    ALTER proc [dbo].[SBO_SP_TransactionNotification]

declare @error  int                       -- Result (0 for no error)
declare @error_message nvarchar (200)           -- Error string to be displayed
    select @error = 0
    select @error_message = N'Ok'
    --    IF @OBJECT_TYPE = '59' AND (@TRANSACTION_TYPE = 'A' or @TRANSACTION_TYPE = 'U')
      BEGIN

      END
    end
    -- Select the return values
    select @error, @error_message
    end

    Hi Rathna,
Just put the SP like this, without the -- before the IF. A -- marks the line as a command therefore you need to uncomment and it will work.
    IF @OBJECT_TYPE = '59' AND (@TRANSACTION_TYPE = 'A' or @TRANSACTION_TYPE = 'U')
      BEGIN
       IF EXISTS(
        SELECT T0.Price FROM IGN1 T0
        where  IsNull(T0.Price, '0') = '0' and T0.DocEntry = @list_of_cols_val_tab_del)
       BEGIN
SELECT @ERROR=1,@ERROR_MESSAGE='Please insert the price !'
      END
    end
    Hope it helps

  • Deleted User Master Data with SQL Server Management Studio

    Hi All
I've, recently restored an ECC 6.0 backup onto a test system. In an attempt to quickly delete most of the User Master Data from the source system, I deleted the User ID's from the USR02 table using SQL Management Studio.
But within Transaction su01, the User ID's that were deleted that way, still show up in the "F4" search. I can select one of those deleted ID's, but get an informational pop up stating that the user does not exist, if I go to display.
Does anyone know of a quick way to delete these User ID's from the "F4" search pop up?
The only way I've found so far is to select the User ID, recreate it and then delete it from the su01 transaction. This is going to take me hours.
Tried to save time, but caused more of a head ache.
    Ken

    Thanks Brian
Yes, I have done this in the past as well. Although for this instance, I needed to keep about 20 of the 100 + User ID's that were in the system, and was hoping for an easy way to do it.
In Table USR02, it was easy to pick all, but the 20 and delete. (Sometimes we think we're smarter than we really are I've since spoken to a Security team member and found out about there's a way to do "Mass" changes in transaction su01.
    tcode us01 -> Environment -> Mass changes.

  • Cannot transfer master data to EWM server

    Hi:
I am posting this in this forum because SNC will have similar configuration where SNC can run on a different server and other SCM applications can run on the server on which live cache is there. So, if this is the case, please share your experience.
The configuration that we have in the development box is to run GATP, SPP and Livecache on one server and EWM on the other server (both are SCM servers).  For the purpose of this discussion, let us call the server that is meant for SPP/GATP/Livecache the SCM Server and the one that is meant for EWM the EWM server (although both are SCM servers). The various deployment options are described in SAP Note 1606493 and this cofiguration that we have chosen is considered as the standard deployment option.
We created our first integration model and tried to CIF plants to EWM from the one ECC server and got an error "Version 000 not found". The same error was reported in the following thread (see link below). In this thread, one person suggested running the report "/SAPAPO/VERSION_CREATE_NO_APO" on the EWM server. This seems to be nothing but a backdoor to creating a version and not somehow removing the need for it.
Version 000 not found error message - /SAPAPO/LOM009
    I have the following questions:
    1. Do we need to install live cache instance on the EWM server also?
    2. Suppose that we install the live cache instance on the EWM server. Now, one has to think about the information flow between the three system landscape. That is, EWM server does the goods receipt, etc. and this information wil go to the ECC server and from there to the SCM server. Any thoughts that you may have on this will be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Satish

You'll need to push your data from your LabVIEW application to a server:
    - HTTP Client VIs
    - TCP/IP
    - WebSockets
Server could have a LV application on it, or you could use a web server with a scripting language (e.g. PHP/ASP/Node.js).
You'll need to write something on the server to listen to your LabVIEW application and hold the data:
    - Database
    - File
    - Memory
You'll need to write some interface/API for pushing/retrieving the data - e.g. JSON/POST/XML - take a look at 'RESTful APIs'.
The choice of which of these to go for depends on how 'real-time' you are talking - how often do you want to update the data, the latency etc.
If you don't want to do all of this yourself, there are 3rd party providers that can store this sort of data for you - there's a free (but limited) one run by SparkFun - https://data.sparkfun.com/ but I'm sure there are other services.

  • How can we  transport the master data from one server/client to another server client?

    plz guide me this issue

Re: transfer data in between servers
Navaneetha Krishnan Jun 25, 2007 2:59 PM (in response to suresh chandrra
Most of the times, masterdata is transferred between servers through ALE. This is considered to be one of the best and efficient ways of transferring data. You can try this too.
BDCs are another way (which can be done through LSMW or through a custom made program.

  • Is there a SAP standard way of dl/up G/L accounts master data?

I was asked to create a download program to get the G/L account master data from one server and create an upload program to automatically create the G/L accounts.
Download: Access SKAT, SKA1, SKB1 -> save to spreadsheet
Upload: Batch input or maybe read up on how to do it using LSMW.
Halfway in making my the program, it occured to me that maybe SAP has a standard way of doing this?
Tried to search for it. Found FS15/FS16.
Would these do it? How do they work?
*Both source and target systems are running SAP 4.7

<b>NO!</b> fs15-16 is for two servers
    1)fill field filename in fs15
    example '<b>0001</b>'
    2) transfer file per ftp
    from /sapmnt/XXX/global/FBIS<b>0001</b>
to oth. server same directory and filename
    with XXX = sy-sysid
3)and use the same file in fs16 <b>0001</b>

  • Standard to list GL accounts and their master data.

    Hii..
Does SAP provide some standard to lists all GL accouns along with their master data in production server?
    thanks Khan.

The FS Items must be created via the BCS workbench, not as a task in the monitor. They may be manually entered, or uploaded via flatfile, or loaded via load-from-datastream if there is a source in BI for this.
Only when the master data exists in BCS can data be collected.
Also, there is no need to use the selection tab in the method if all FS items are included. In some cases a different method may be used for balance sheet (cumulative) vs. income statement (periodic) and in such cases, the selection is used so that the task may use bundling process.

  • Uploading the master data.

    Hi! SAP gurus
I need some help in uploading the vendor code from 20000001 server 1 to another server 2.
I have tried to do it but still unable to see in server 2.
    Where the problem could be?
    Please respond me immediately.
    Thanx in advance

    Hi Sushmitha
I think there are two options available to migrate master datas from one server to another.
    1)  ALE (Application Link Enabling)
    2)  LSMW
To know more about ALE, go through the link
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_47x200/helpdata/en/0b/2a60bb507d11d18ee90000e8366fc2/frameset.htm
LSMW is you need to create a recording in the server in which you would like to upload the master datas.
    Thanks

  • Maintain the Master data

How to maintain the Master data at Client –Server architecture?
    Thanks

1)You get to the master data maintenance via
InfoObject Tree - InfoObject - Context Menu (right mouse button) - Maintain Master Data.
    or
or in the InfoObject maintenance by choosing Maintain Master Data
2)A selection screen appears for restricting the master data. You may want to edit here.
Taking into account the options from F4 Help, select the relevant data.
You get to the list header for the selection. The list header is also displayed if no hits have been found for your selection, so that you can enter new master records for particular criteria.
Make your changes with the help of the relevant maintenance function.
    3)Creating new master records
Choose Create to add new master records. New records are tagged onto the end of the list.
    Changing single records
4)A double-click on a data record takes you to the individual maintenance. Make the relevant changes in the following Change dialog box.
    5)Choose Save.
