Materail determination palnt updation

Hello sap gurus,
I want to keep parents line for a  customer plant 5050 and child line for my depot 5005 for material determination in sales order.
is  it possible to have different plants for the same material in a sales order.
I have determined the material with the same part (abc). And substution reson is "create new materal as a sub line item"
so in sales order two line items will be created parent and child line. parent should be set for customer plant as 5050 and child line should be set as delivering plant as 5005 which is mentioned in material master sales org 1.

Dear Ramesh,
Yes, you can have different plants for the same material.
eg: if you have material managed in 2 plants. If the stock is not available in one plant, you can obviously issue from the other plant ( assume stock available).
in above case,
           If my understanding is correct,
Plant in Customer material Info record & delivering Plant in Material Master behaviour cant be different from case to case. if you maintain plant in CMIR for parent line & Delivering Plant for child line in MMR, then plant determined according to your requirement irrespective of material determination.
But you cant change the behaviour of customer / delivering plant for specific scenario i.e. material determination.
hope it clears

    Thank You

    Hi
What is your total value of currency in the sc? hope your attribut e currency is JPY.
Generally the supplier currency picked from vendor master right?
the purchaser might negotiated with vendor and agreed for this currncy  right?
sourcing cocpit price no one records. only buyer negotiates with vendor. in the bp_pd you can not see the price sreenivas.
only purchaser knows this information. it is unfortunate. SRM dont record sourcing cockpit informatiion. if you want more info on cockpit activities. you may connect with BW system and there are some reports on cockpit logs.

  • Free goods determination (Quantity Update)

    Hi Experts,
Need your help in below scenario
Company wants if a customer buys 100 tons of cement in a month, 2 tons of cement is given to him free
Kindly suggest how to map this scenario in SAP
I have thought of free goods but donu2019t know how to update the quantity
For example if a customer buys 100 tons of cement in 10 days
10 tons of cement each day on 10th day he should get 2 tons of cement free automatically.
It means if he places the order for 10 tons of cement on 10th day he should get 12 tons of cement
As customer has completed the target of 100 tons of cement and we are giving 2 tons of cement free
Thanks in Advance for your help
    Krushnakumar Rathi

    hi,
create a schedule agreement to the same. say 100 bags of cement for 10 days = 10 bags per day and at the last day
basing on the quantity it has to pickup 10+ 20 bags as free.
In exclusive free goods access sequence there is a requriment field in which you can assign your own routine for your requriment.
    logic:
create a Z table with maintaince view and the fields there inside maintaince view is:
    1. line items, order quantity, order date, last day of the sales order creation for eg.
and make it to compare to the order quantity or according to no of line items split.  here you need to consider some parameters & give logic to the system that when is the last date of your delivery. for that you need to take last line item or order quantity ends into consideration in that routine.
when ever the scheduling agreement is getting triggered from there only system understands that this is the last day and it will trigger the free goods as expected
then only the exclusive goods that is 10+20 bags has to trigger automatically.
please check teh same in teh system and confirm the fourm

  • How to determine which updates to add to WIM

Hello I would like to speed up our OSD deployment by adding in all required updates to our WIM file. I have our WIM file open with DISM and I have selected "Get packages from WIM" this has given me a list of packages some state "installed"
    while others are "pending"?
Why would a package thats part of the WIM be pending shouldn't that already be installed?
Do I add all security updates as well as Office and .Net what if they don't have Visio installed for example?
Whats the easiest way to manage which updates to add to production WIM? Compare to current production then do what?
    Thanks
    SCCM Deployment Technician

Injecting updates using DISM does not "Install" them, It simply adds them to the WIM and queues them for installation during Windows setup (this is what Torsten said with a bit more detail).
DISM will only add updates that are applicable to the WIM you are using so if you try to inject a non-applicable update, DISM will simply say no -- this is clearly indicated in the log files. And as Torsten said, only core OS updates can be applied this
way. This slightly varies from OS to OS.
Finally, doing this manually using DISM is exactly the same technically as using Offline Servicing except the source of the updates. Using offline updates, you can directly leverage the updates downloaded by Software Updates in ConfigMgr.

  • Receiving error message: "Firefox is unable to determine if there is an update available".

I am running Firefox 31.0 on Mac OS X 10.6.8. I have it set to automatically check for updates, but not to automatically install them. Lately, I keep getting the error message "Update Failed" & "Firefox is unable to determine if there is an update available". But when I check manually, I get the message "Firefox is up-to-date". Any ideas on why it can no longer determine its update status?

    Sometimes, the situation with complicated programs is;
Updating is fine, but sometimes the coding goes Gaa-Gaa. if
    its update on update on update''' . . . . . .'''
So, every once in a while, instead of doing an update,
download the full installer. This should clean out the Gaa-Gaa.
If not, save the installer somewhere, remove the old program,
    then use the installer.
    Happy Computing.

  • Lookout OPC Client – Asynchronous I/O and Update Rate serious problems (Sequence of data)

I am using the Lookout OPCClient driver to connect to AB PLCs (EtherNet/IP protocol) and power measurement equipment (Modbus TCP protocol). The OPC server is the NI OPC Servers. The data that are read out from PLCs and PMs are energy meter readings, energy counters, power, voltage, current, frequency, power factor and el. energy quality measurements (THD). That energy meter readings are being stored in SQL database.
I am experiencing a serious problem regarding the accuracy of the meter readings. Several times per day, randomly, meter readings are losing the time sequence. For example, sequence is: 167, after few seconds 165, 166.  In other words, present value followed by two previous old values. That generates a serious problem in our application that is expecting a naturally rising sequence of counter values.
Analyzing further, I isolated the problem to the connection between Lookout OPCClient and OPC Server. I made a simple application in Lookout 6.7 (opcproc.lkp, attached) with OPCClient parameters: NIOPCServers, OPC2, Asynchronus I/O, Update rate: 10000, Deadband: 0.0, that is reading just one tag from NI OPC Servers demo application (simdemo.opf).
By using OPC diagnostic tool from NI OPC Servers I record the sequence of OPC requests and responses.  I found out that OPCClient sends every 2.5 sec “IOPCAsyncIO2::Refresh2()” call that is request for refreshing of all items in one OPC group. Few milliseconds later OPC Sever responds with callback function “IOPCDataCallback:: OnDataChange()(Device Refresh)” that actually refresh the data.
This periodic sequence is intrinsic to the OPCClient and cannot be disabled or changed (by my knowledge).  This sequence is periodically interrupted by “IOPCDataCallback:: OnDataChange()” caused by update rate parameter of OPCClient (client is subscribed to server for periodic update of changed items).
In the case of demo application on every 4 refresh callbacks caused by refresh requests (2.5 sec) there is one update subscription callback determined by Update rate (10 sec).
    QUESTION 1:
What is the purpose of update sequence and update rate when we have every 2.5 sec fresh values?
    PROBLEM
The problem arises when we have a large number of items in OPC group. In that case the OPC Server starts to queue refresh requests because they cannot be fulfilled in 2.5 sec time because of large number of I/O points that must be scanned. At the same time update subscription callbacks are running at the period determined by Update rate. I observed in my production system that regular update callbacks has higher priority than refresh callbacks from the queue. That causes the loosing of timed sequence of data. After the update callback with fresh data, sometimes follow one or two refresh callbacks from queue with old (invalid) data. By adjusting Update rate parameter (1 hour, 2hours …) I can postpone the collision of data refreshes but I cannot eliminate it. Furthermore, the 2.5 sec automatic refresh are large burden for systems with many I/O points.
    QUESTION 2:
Is there a way to disable automatic refresh request every 2.5 sec and just use update requests determined by Update rate?
    QUESTION 3:
Is there a way (or parameter) to change the period of automatic refresh (2.5 sec)?
This problem is discovered for Lookout 6.5, 6.6 and 6.7 so I could say it is intrinsic to OPCClient. If I use synchronous I/O requests there is not an automatic refresh, but that is not an option for large systems.

The physical connection from LV to the switch is (I believe) copper crossover to fiber converter into a switch.  Then, fiber from the switch to the end device (relay).  The relay has all of the typical modbus registries and has been verified by inducing signals in to the system and measured/polled in LabVIEW and observed Variable Monitor.  I am working with LV 8.2 and 8.5.
An OPC server would only add an additional translation of addressing within the configuration.  The only real draw back would be the network overhead required to do this processing and not being representative of the end design configuration.
I will reiterated my question in another way:
I must answer the question to management that relates to data collection, test results and analysis; how often are you polling the client in relation to the outcomes measured?  At this time I can not point at any configuration in the set up and execution that directs the data framing rate.  I only measure the traffic and work with results.  This needs to be clearly identified based on the relay modbus/tcp design capability of supporting an fixed number of client requests per second.
For testing purposes, I would like to be able to stress the system to failure and have prove capabilities with measured data.  The present problem is that I have no basis to establish varying polling rates that effect the measured data transmission.
This raises another question.  What handles the Variable Monitor data requests and how is this rate determined?
Thanks for your interest in my efforts.

  • Macbook air is stuck in a reboot loop after running Software Update.  It looks like a firmware update is failing.

I have a first generation Macbook Air running Lion, and just ran software update to get the latest version of iTunes.  It appears I may have gotten a firmware update mixed in the bunch, and now it keeps trying to run the update at boot, failing, and shutting down.
I can start the restore partition, and the system appears to function, but I cannot figure out how to abort this failing update so I can use my system, and determine which update is breaking it and why. I've tried resetting the firmware, but that didn't change anything.
There's nothing, not even a the CD drive plugged into the Air, so it's not a peripheral problem.
I could restore from backups, but that seems like a very brute force way to get rid of a firmware update loader.
Does anyone know how to disable these little beasts?

Restart the Air while holding down the shift key, this is safe mode. Once in to the login screen, login then hold the shift key again. It will disable login items, which can be the cause of startup problems. Remove all your login items from your user accout and try a restart (Note the login items if you need to re-add essential ones later). If it all works well, then keep an eye on third party startup items, they will cause you grief!

  • 10.4.7 PPC Update installed instead of Intel one on my Intel Mac

I used software update to install the 10.4.7 update yesterday. The interesting thing is software update reported the upgrade as 64MB in size. I'm sure the Intel upgrade is supposed to be around 133MB in size though. As my Mac Mini is an Intel Mac, have I installed the right update?
I installed the update anyway and my mac mini still seems to be working, but will this have repercussions later on? To compare, I installed the 10.4.7 on my Intel Macbook this afternoon and the update was 133MB in size. So what update have I installed on my mini, is it the correct one, and what do I do if it isn't?

Software Update usually is able to detect which is the correct update. Updates may be different sizes on Software Update depending on the model that they are updating. If you had 10.4.5 or earlier installed, Software Update will use the Combo instead of the Delta update. The combo update includes all the updated information from 10.4.6 in addition to that of 10.4.7 when updating, whereas the Delta is only the changes from 10.4.6 to 10.4.7. You haven't stated that your machine is misbehaving in anyway, so I think you installed the right update. Look in your Library Receipts folder to determine which update was installed:

  • IPOD MINI&UPDATER PROBLEM!! THIS IS NOT NORMAL!!

    Hello guys
I just downloaded the newest iPod updater 2006-01-10 for my brother's iPod mini. There was an update necessary. So then I install it, plug the iPod into my computer, and it determines that update is necessary. So I then update it. Normal routine. But when it says "please leave the iPod connected while it reboots" or something of that sort, it stays like that. Its not frozen, and Windows still responds. When I try to exit the program, it says "Can't interrupt process." So then I just remove the Mini from with Safely Remove Hardware. Now here's where it gets spookier and weirder. After I disconnect the Mini, I try to play a song. It plays. I try to forward to the next song. It doesn't! I try to rewind to the last song. It doesn't!! I reset the iPod then try it again. It still doesn't! It pauses, plays, and click wheel respongs, but it just doesn't wanna forward/rewind. So then I connect the Mini to my computer, and open the updater, thinking to restore the Mini. Then this dialogue comes up, saying "iPod service error." I can't even restore now. I tried the same thing with the updater 2005-11-17, and does the same thing to me. What is wrong? Has anyone had this similar or same problem? Is this because of the updater? Now I think I have no choice but to bring it to Apple store...if I can't find a solution to this. Please!! Help!! Thank you!!

Oh and by the way when I keep holding the forward/rewind button, it can still search (if thats what its called) meaning that I can still go to a certain point in a song I choose so that I can start listening from there.

  • JWS not downloading updated files first time

We are experiencing a problem where JWS does not download the modified files when the application is launched the first time after the jar files were updated. When user launches it again, it gets the updates.
This seems to happen mostly for users in remote locations (though not for all such users). For local users the frequency is much less.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Raman.

If the application has the offline-allowed specified,
javaws has a timeout mechinism when checking for updates before launching an app. (i believe it's 1+1/2 seconds). If javaws cannot determine before the timeout if an update is needed, (and offline-allowed is specified) it will run the cached version, and continue checking in the background.
Then when you run next time, the background checking will by then have determined an update is avail, and you will have to download before launching.

  • Material should be determined when then the stock is not available

    Dear All,
One of our scenario is to do material determination. But the alternative material should be determined only when the actual material is not in stock.
    Kindly suggest the solution.
    Regards,
    Mullairaja

As rightly said by friend Anirudh V B,
its possible through Material Determination. But not possible without ABAP coding.
With the help of ABAP with min coding you can achieve this,
    like,
let the ABAPer write coding to check the stock availability of the entered material before triggering "material determination" records.
To do this availability check , then can jsut use the existing Function modules : BAPI_MATERIAL_AVAILABILITY (OR) AVAILABILITY_CHECK.  if the stock found zero / nil, let the "materail determination should trigger, else process as normal .
its already available, doenst need / take much time , but ABAP involvement is needed to fulfill your requirement.

  • How to find out most recent installed software update

We recently installed the latest software updates on our intel xserve running 10.5 via the automatic software updates. The guy who installed them does not remember which updates where installed. Upon reboot we sit and sit at the gray screen with apple and spinning gear.
I can boot into single user mode, and my question is how can I find out what updates where installed recently.
Is there a location I can navigate to and just list the updates with there modified date, or is there any softwareupdate command that might list what updates have been installed.
I know this wont fix the issue, but I would like to know if anyone has an idea how I can at least determine what updates were installed.
    Thanks..

    Use the following:
    ls -l /Library/Receipts/

  • Script using Update-Recipient

Working on a Script that will be run as a scheduled task.  I have most of the script setup but running into one stopping point that's not working how I want it to.
The script runs a Get-Mailuser with some filters that is saved into a variable.
I then have a ForEach loop running through those users and setting them so that the EmailAddressPolicyEnabled is set to False. Then it does and Update-Recipient against that user to mail enable them.  Unfortunately some users still have something
wrong with the account so that Update-Recipient fails.  But I haven't been able to detect that failure so that I can have my script do something else if that fails.  Any Ideas on how I can determine if Update-Recipient worked or not.

  • Material Determination

    Hi Gurus,
I hav a product A, but i have done materail determination for product A with B, so when a customer comes and places an order for product A then the system automatically takes the product B, but there is few stock of product A, how can i sale the stock of product A.
    Thanks and Regards
    SJ

    Hi SJ,
Like Rajan mentioned what you need to do is little more setup. Create a new substitution reason code using OVRQ. There in config you need to set the outcome to be "B" and leave all other entries as BLANK. Now goto VB11 and create and record with following details.
Substitution reason code = 0010 (lets say this is the new one you have created).
    Material Entered = A
    Material  = A
Double click on the line item, you will go into line item details. There you mention B as the second option and mark the MRP indicator for what ever material you want to raise MRP if no stock is available in A as well as B.
