Material Costs transfer to PCA Planning

Dear SAPguru,
How to transfer the variable cost like material costs to PCA (Profit Center accounting) planning. we have all the materials assigned to Profit center. We also run MRP.
Thanks in Advance.
Regards.,
RK

Dear Santosh,
When we upload the plan for quantity, we are expecting the material costs to be derived automatically from material master price or from MRP requirment.
Thanks

  • Material cost in production order plan cost

    Dear all,
-we are in sales order cost object with non-valuated stock...
-we have created two production orders from MRP run. First one is for semi finished material and second one is for finished material.
    Issue-1
Both production orders not showing material cost in production order plan cost...
    Issue-2
When i consumed raw material against semi-finished material production order (261-E), system not gnerated any document and material cost not updated either in production order or sales order...
where should i do changes in configuration to get updated material cost in the production order...
    Best regards
    Kishore

    Hi
Issue 1 : Check Whether Standard cost is present for header material of prod order, and under control tab of order costing variant for plan is present.
    Issue 2 : Use 261 instead 261E.

  • How SAP use transfer control or material cost estimate

    Hello!
I have strategy "3-Previous standard cost estimate" in transfer control material cost estimate.
I have cost estimate for product AAA with status KA and costing date from 01.01.2014.
Product AAA produced from component BBB.
Component BBB has two cost estimates with costing date from 01.01.2014 and 01.02.2014.
I run cost estimate for product AAA with costing date from 06.03.2014.
Cost estimate not use existing cost estimate for component and create new cost estimate.
In help.sap.com contains next information about transfer strategy 3 - The system searches for existing previous cost estimate.
why my system does not use the existing cost estimate for component?
    Thanks for attention.

    Thanks, Szymon!
I use russian interface and read russian help. Where stragegy 3 has name "Прошедшая плановая калькуляция" which means "The last planned cost estimate".
    This led me astray.
In english help i read next:
    Previous standard cost estimates
The system searches for an existing previous standard cost estimate.
    You are completely right!
    two more questions:
    - We can not use strategy 3 if we not realesed cost estimate as standard price?
    - What strategy we should use for transfer material cost estimate with status KA?
    Thanks

  • Cost Element missing in FAGLFLEXT for some PCA Plan records

    Hi Gurus,
We have uploaded a PCA plan and can see the same in GP12NA. I see the planned values (GLPL) in FAGLFLEXT from SE16 under the correct accounts for 0L ledger for the correct company code and the fiscal year. I noticed a difference in the data
    1) For the revenue elements (11 and 12 Categories) the 'cost element' field is not getting populated in FAGLFLEXT. ('Account' is populated.) Is it expected?
    2) We have a Z library report that was built on FAGLFLEXT. The report uses the cost element groups to pull in the data and hence the 'Actual Values' are pulled in the report but the 'Plan Values' are missing. (Because of point1)
Any pointers on how to fix this?Could you please suggest the places i would need to look to fix this?
(I've checked that the plan vesion is activated for 2011)
(The report has version Z2 as one of its parameters.)
    Regards,
    Erp.Warrior

Thanks a lot for your replies.
Waman: I've looked up the Note 983835 - NewGL planning: Cost element field (COST_ELEM) initial.
This note talks about the Cost element not getting populated during planning. My question / confusion is in my case, the cost element is getting populated for some of them and not getting populated only for cost elem category 11 and 12.
Is this note intended for this issue?
Ajay: I've tried re-planning and still found the same issue. Thanks for your inputs. I'll analyse about the Note that waman has referred to and then may be go to SAP as suggested by you.
Please let me know if any of you have any other suggestions as well.
    Thanks

  • Stock Transfer Order - Post freight cost in diff. G/L of the material cost

    Hi Friends,
I created PO (stock transfer Plant to plant). In condition I added
standard price and Freight cost. When I received material in
receiving plant the freight cost was added in total stock valuation of
    receiving plant.
In Plant to Plant transfer I want to see only stock value without
freight cost in receiving plant. We want freight cost in other G/L different of the material cost.
    Best Regards,
    Edgardo Delgado

    Hi
Futher to Imdarpan statement, normally we will have different pricing procedure for STO's for the reason you are mentioning with this procedure for freight you can define acct key & accrual if reqed seperately & while posting respective documents it will not go to material cost it will get accounted in different G/L account.
If you are not maintaining accural tick in condition it will get added to material cost, just maintain this in freight condition.

  • Raw Material Costing with Overhead, Product Cost Planning

    Hi,
I have an issue applying overhead to purchased raw materials. We need to apply this overhead for only a certain materials. So, I have defined a overhead key/overhead Group, and assigned the group in the material master of the raw material. The overhead is 2% freight on raw material costs.
In the std.costing variant, I have assigned the costing sheet under Overhead on material components tab of the corresponding valuation variant. I have also included the Freight OH in the cost component structure.
However, when I run the costing with CK11N for the raw material, it is showing only the raw material cost, not the overhead.
    What could be the problem?
    I appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Ram

Is the overhead rate a percentage type or quantity based?
Have you maintained both actual and plan rates (1 & 2) under define % based OH rates or Qty based OH rates accordingly?
Does the validity date (in define OH rates )cover the date of costing?
Is the Costing sheet assigned to the valuation variant at plant level?
Is the OH base in the costing sheet includes the cost element of the raw material?

  • COPA - Planned Material Cost not appearing in KE30 report

    Hi all
In COPA planning, I manually planned the Material cost (Material External Price) along with the Sales Quantity and Revenue for two company codes (one plant in each co code). But in KE30 report, I could see the material cost (MEP) values only for one company codeplant. What could be the issue?
I even tried valuation in KEPM. Valuation step is calculating and populating the material cost in KEPM, but the values are not flowing to KE30 reports. And this happens to only one of the two company codes.
    Thanks
    Vamsi

    Hi Vamsi
Please check table CE2XXXX, where XXXX = Op Concern.... Here, can you see the plan line items??
If yes, then the issue is with your report definition in KE30... May be you are restricting values display in KE30 report by virtue of your selection parameters

  • Plant Maintenance Order planning costs transfer to Cost Centers.

    Hello,
    1.  Capacity Planning
I'm trying to get planning information from a PM order back to a cost center.
I have planned operations in a PM order with a valid activity type and the work center is linked to the Cost Center.
But I cannot see any information in KSBL, Cost Center planning report.
I have tried KSPP - Transfer to Cost Center and KSOP - Transfer to Activity based costing.
    Both come up empty.
    What am I missing?
    2.  Costing.
I would like the planned costs in the PM order to settle to the cost center plan.  But the PM orders are not configured for planned settlement (I believe that's an SAP setting).
How do I get the planned costs into a cost center's plan?
Thank you very much for your help,
    Dan.

Thanks, but I'm trying to integrate the planning that happens in a PM order with the cost center.  I was able to get planned costs from the orders via S_ALR_87012993.
the lack of planned settlement in a PM order is annoying.  We do a lot of work on PM orders and settle actual costs to cost centers.  It would be nice to use that same functionality (Operations, Components, task lists) to be able to plan costs and settle the planned costs to cost centers.  Internal Orders can settle planned costs to cost centers, why not PM orders?
I believe the KSPP transaction helps to link the two objects somehow, but I can't get it to work.  If anybody has any insights, that would be great.
Or should I be pursuing something else?
    Thanks.
    Dan.

  • Material Cost Not Shown in Production Order if planned with MD50

    Hi,
We have run MRP MD50 for a sale order item ie FERT material which has BOM Items. All the stock of the BOM items is tranfered from Unrestricted Stock to Sales order stock. FERT ITEM planned order is converted to Production Order and all the BOM items sales order stock is issued against PO & Sales order no with Movement Type 261E.
After confirmation and goods receipt stock of FERT is shown under sales order Stock of Fert Material.
We can see the cost of operations but cost of materials consumed against the Production order is not displayed in Production order Cost analysis..How material cost can be displayed????
If i create PO with out refering the sale order that is normal process i can see the cost of materials triggering in Production Order.
Can we settle the varience when we are planning against sale order???
    Some one Pl help us.
    John

    Dear,
Check your variant which showes the cost. See the following report
KKAC - For Sales Order with Assigned Orders  or
KKBC_KUN - For Sales Order or
    KOB1 - Actual Costs

  • Planned material costs not seen in reports

    hi to all,
i planned costs for a project using networks and activity elements and material components.  for the activity elements i placed the costs as a direct input and for material components, i input the required quantity and the material number. However, when i looked at the structure overview(CN41), the materials i placed have 0 cost. YET THE TOTATL AMOUNT in the network&activity INCLUDES the cost of the material (quantity multiplied by material price).
    Thanks in advance

    hi again..
i checked both your suggestions but they have already been carried out earlier so the problem lies elswhere..(but at least i was able to eliminate some of the possible causes..).
allow me to give an example of whats happening in my case..
    MY INPUTS:
    WBS 1
    NETWORK 1
      ACTIVITY 1
         Material Component 1     3 pcs  ( 1 $/pc)
         Material Component 2    10 pcs   (1 $/pc)
         Element 1(cost)             500 $
         Element 2(cost)             300 $
    OUTPUT REPORT:(CN41 - Project cost Sch 000)
    WBS 1                                  $ 813.0000
    NETWORK 1                        $ 813.0000
      ACTIVITY 1                          $ 813.0000
         Material Component 1           0.0000
         Material Component 2           0.0000
         Element 1(cost)                    500.0000
         Element 2(cost)                    300.0000
So if you notice in the report the material is 0 but the total includes the material cost..
    thanks!

  • Transfer of Marketing plan hierarchy to WBS

Hi, we are trying to transfer a marketing plan and want to assign actual costs of the plan or even the campaign using the WBS element.
On status change the marketing plan is transferred to BI - data was received in BI as also tested, but no transfer to R/3 takes place. How do we assign which WBS element in R/3 should be used for the assignment ? or how can WBS elements be created in R/3 from CRM on status change of a marketing plan ?
I have gone through the help documentation and previous user posts but cannot find a helpful and specific pointers - [This|http://help.sap.com/saphelp_crm60/helpdata/en/46/03f345add73482e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm] URL was helpful but not specific
    Kindly help.
    Regards.

    Hi,
If you want to transfer plan data from CO-PA to profit center accounting then you either have to compress/summarize the characteristic 'product number', or you have to maintain a representative material in profit center accounting (and assign it to the correct material).
In the PCA summary records (table GLPCT) we don't know the field material number ARTNR. PCA only has the representative material. So the representative material has to be derived from the ARTNR of CO-PA.
If you have not maintained a representative material for all materials you get summary records with representative material initial.
So you must maintain the representative materials or you must use summarization for the material.
    regards
    Waman

  • Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"

    Hi people,
    We have the error:
    =====================
Valuation with material cost estimate: error with product "117122"
    Diagnosis
In Profitability Analysis (CO-PA), the system tried to valuate a line item using the current standard cost estimate.
In order to determine the current plan period, the system needs to read the valuation segment of the material master.
The system has found that the current plan period is not filled forproduct "117122" in plant "UBE1".
We have the follow configuration in trans.: KE40:
    . Determine material cost estimate
       . Transf. Standard Cost Estimate
    . Costing Variant
. Control Data for Standard Cost Estimate
. Period Indicator = "Current Standard Cost Estimate acc. to entry in mat master
    . Addiitonal data CO-PC
. Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency  "activated"
We think the reason about our error is because the field above is activated and some configuration more is necessary for this case. For examplo: Trans.: OKYW and this one was not configurated yet.
    Do you know what happend?
If we need to configure some transation, or sonly process the cost estimate?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

    Hello Guido
Thank you very much for your return.
It is happenning in a Client that some people are doing the configuration.
Before we didin't have in KE40, the fiel "Transfer cost estimate in controlling area currency" activated.
And now, the people activate that in this new Client and I don't know the impact about that.
I think we have to make the configuration in OKYW.
The other transation you told me, we don't have any information.
Could you tell me some other idea what happend?
Message error is just "Message no. KE350"
    Abou claculate the cost:
It was calculated by trans.: CK11N for future planning and the real wasn't not possible to release because this material already have moviments.
Could you tell us is there is some thing more to do?
    Thanks,
    Rosana.

  • Make to Order for configurable Material  Costing Procedure and Stage Trans.

    Hello, PP Gurus,
I am doing one MTO for configurable Material.
For each sales order I am preparing Production order so when the costing should caried out?
What is the Order settlement & closing procedure?
how the cost is tranfered to the Sales orderand cost transfer is possible
Please inform me Costing procedure in this scenario and transaction.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Bhavik Dangi.

    Hi,
You can use variant configuration for selling the colored fabric. Use the basic fabric as raw. and maintain variant configuarations to have many variants.
Please use strategy 25. When you run MRP the planned orders will be generated and will be assigned to the sales orders. You can see it on the account assignment tab.
In material master pleasse maintain Individual collective requirement indicator to 1-individual in the MRP-4 view.
Then the stocks will be reserved to the specific sales orders.
    Thanks and regards
