  • Material Reservation Process for Work Order

I am new to the Plant Maintenance work order and material reservation process.
    Here is my scenario:
I create a work order with a material that is maintained in WM and IM.
    Reservation is created.
I got to MB26 to post goods issue
Once I do this I see the qty of material moved as a negative amount to storage type 914 in IM (LS26) and stock removed out of WM (MMBE).
Is this where the business process stops?
Do I ever remove the stock out of 914?
Does the material go from 914 to 916 and then get cleared out of inventory?
    Thank you

  • Line item deletion in Maintenance order

    Hi Guru's
Please let me know how to find the deleted line item in the component tab of maintenance order before saving.
for eg. The user creates the following line item in the component tab of the maintenance order.
Before saving he deletes the line item 20.
    Item   component   qty
    10       100001        10
    20       100003        20
Please let me know  where exactly the deleted status is stored, before saving for the line item
    Regards
    Vidhyadharan

    Hi Pete
We are trying to prevent the user from creating product line items in Maintenance order with respect to equipment BOM. Let me explain you the scenario
Equipment 1000201 - contains the following components as BOM
    1002775 - qty 2
    1003326  - qty 1
When the user creates the order , he tries to withdraw more qty than the qty specified iin BOM. We have controlled it using enhancement IWO10009.  Initially we didn't anticipate that the  control can  be skipped by duplicating the material (i.e material line) eg line no 10 :1002775 - qty 2 and line no 20: 1002775 - qty 2 and the transaction is saved. In order to control, we have modified the program accordingly and never allow the user to save, if there is a duplication of material.
The problem started when the user tries to save the line item after deleting the duplicate material
The check we used doesn't not allow the user to save inspite of the line item been deleted. The msg introduced keep repeating .
We tried debugging the program, we wouldn't find any  deletion indicator in the structure   CAUFVD_IMP or resb  to overcome this bug.
Can you pls let us know where exactly the deletion indicator or status is stored for the line item in the component tab before saving

  • Trigger workflow for material reservation via IW32 (PM order)

    Hi,
How can I implement workflow process for material reservation using tcode IW32
    - PM order.
        Thanks,
                      Amos

    Hello,
when there is no material in the store if the order is showing the availablity, then check the Availability Check for Material, PRTs, and Capacities node in IMG.
In order there are two material availability check, one is over all material availability check, which will shows shortage only before release or during release once the order is relased it always shows that the material is available.
other material availability  check is individual line item check, when you check with this it will take to the ATP quantities of the material where it will shows the availability same as the MMBE,including the Reservation,PR & PO quantity.
    So better check this.
    Regards,
    Raj.

  • Material Wrongly assigned into production order

    Dear Gurus,
I have a question to ask to you, we have a MTO production and I phase that during Production order created within a Sales Order Bom and a Routing (N) the production order correctly maintain all information less than one.
The material allocated into the Routing related to the Sales order BOM are not correctly maintain and I have lots of material allocated to the first operation as defined in SPRO.
    Why it's happen?
Into the Routing the material are allocated correctly how can I understand how to let during production order creation the material allocated into the right operation?
    Many thanks in advance
    Regards
    Gianluca

    Hi
Generally while creation of routing -CA01/CA02 materials are getting alocated .Now when u create production order -CO01 or convert planned order , that routing Counter /routing type is getting copied to PO depending on the setting you provide in OPL8 in SPRO -Order type dependenet parameters.
Now , for Sales Order BOM , you need to alocate the material in CA02.But u have option in Production Order whether the correct component is getting selected or not if you go down to Operation Overview and review that .U have the option to change the componenet even if you did not able to do at BOM level.
Here is the clue , component will be alocated to frist operation depending on the Opreation/Act Increment u have mentioned (0010,0020) in OPL8 at operation tab.But by default it will be set in 0010-frist operation.
Hope this will clear ur ideas.

  • Manual Reservation for Maintenance Order

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest some procedure so that I can stop automatic reservation creation from Maintenance Order (Transaction:IW31, type PM01, Category 30) and create manual reservation for the same.
Presently Manual reservation is not allowed for Maintenance Order.
    Thanks
    Satadal

To the best of my knowledge this is possible. To the best of my knowledge G/L account determination for every material happens after a series of checks are done internally by SAP. By checks I mean the sequence of steps as customized by the consultant in the configuration. Now at the end of the sequence if SAP has not succeeded in identifying a G/L account it will open up a tab in which u can manually enter the G/L account. For non-stock item you can anyway enter it.
I would suggest that you post this query in the MM forum also.
    thanks

  • Budget Process (Linked the maintenance Order into Internal Order) in EAM

    Dear Experts,
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM & FICO module live w.e.f. 2007 (PM not live)
Process Managed thru Internal Order (Order Type: RPMT)
Budget managed through Investment Management (IM); Budget is directly entered against the IO using transaction IM52
Scenario for Repair & Maintenance with only MM, FICO & PM module live (PM went live in 2010)
It was proposed to assign budget against each Maintenance Order.  Since the number of maintenance orders being used is very high, it was decided to link the MO & IO so that budget will be assigned to the IO and when the MO is settled against the IO, the budget in IO can be deducted accordingly. The proposed process to assign budget in Internal Order against each Maintenance Order are given below-:
1.)     In EAM process one can plan/procure material and External Services only when the Maintenance Order is created & released but practically it has to be planned long before any Maintenance Activity (Maintenance Order to be linked with the estimate so that PO can be created against the estimate).
2.)     The no. of Maintenance Order generated in EAM Module is very large as Maintenance order is created for almost each and every maintenance activity. It is cumbersome to allocate the budget to each and every maintenance order. There should be a single estimate for maintenance activity (as in MM module) and that should be linked to maintenance order so that the actual cost of Indent/Service Entry Sheet can be deducted automatically from the estimate (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
3.)      While doing return Indent the cost of return material is not being added to the maintenance order automatically (Maintenance Order is to be linked with estimate).
4.)      If Material & External Services not planned in the maintenance order (estimate), the user must be able to do that through Internal Order (estimate), hence the Internal Order must be link to the Maintenance Order. They should able to record the planned & actual cost in the maintenance Order.
    Process followed:
1.) Created Internal Order in KO01 for Repair & Maintenance Order Type
Assigned budget to Internal Order thru IM52
2.) Created PM order and assigned Internal order against Settlement Order in tab
u2018Locationu2019 and in Settlement Rule with 100%. In this Section attach the Internal
         Order with selection type u2018ORDu2019.
3.) Released both orders and issue the Material for particular Operation and then
determine the Cost for material .After that performed MIGO for consumption of
         materials.
4.) Settled the PM order in KO88.
         Settlement process was successfully saved.
    Problem faced:
After posting the goods movement (against each Maintenance Order) and settlement of the maintenance order against IO, we still find the budget assigned to the IO is not consumed/deducted.
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly
added to the available budget of internal order.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal
order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
    4.  It must not be allowed to create reservation from the internal order of order type
         RPMT.
    5.  In case of external service in the maintenance order, the unit of
measure in the requisition is set to u201CD (days)u201D by default. System does not allow
changing the unit of measure in the requisition (it should allow to change the unit
of measure or set the unit of measure u201CJOBu201D).
6.) When the material is issued from  the store through reservation generated  in
maintenance order, system does not check for budget in Internal Order
(estimate)/Maintenance Order while issuing material from store.
    Thanks & Regards
    Deepak Soni

    Hi,
    1. Actual cost of maintenance is not reflected in the internal order
immediately. We have to run cost settlement (t-code KO88) for the
maintenance order each time the actual cost is incurred in the maintenance order.
As per the standard system budgeting is done against the actual cost only. And until you settle your order the actual cost from
maint order are not getting transfered to IO. Once they are transfered system is checking for the budget.
    2. Also in the case of return indent, the value of returned material is not directly added to the available budget of internal order.
This is similar to first point, when you return goods there will be negative cost on the order, this has to be settled until that system will not compare the IO budget with maintenance order actual cost.
    3. When the material is issued from store through the reservation generated by maintenance order, system does not check for budget in the internal order/maintenance order while issuing material from the store.
The budget you have assigned is at IO, how can system will check the budget while issueing goods for maintenance order. We may have to develop or use some user exit over here. Which will trigger checking of budget from the settlement receiver IO for that maintenance order.
I think you may have to go for development. These are my observations from my experience.

  • Manual Reservation for Maintenance Order (Category 30)

    Hi,
Can anyone suggest some procedure so that I can stop automatic reservation creation from Maintenance Order (type PM01, Category 30) and create manual reservation for the same.
Presently Manual reservation is not allowed for Maintenance Order.
    Thanks
    Satadal

    Hello Satadal
nobody's answered you because it's not possible to create a manual reserve for logistic orders as Network/PP orders or PM orders.
If you want inhibit the automatic reserve creation :
    - customizing (transaction OIOE) : set "Never" in field "Reservation Relevance/Generation of Purchase Requisition". The reserves will be created but they will be not relevant for MRP.
    - Hide the field AUDISP "Reservation Relevance/Generation of Purchase Requisition"  at component level (OICMPD) and operation level (OIOPD)
    Good luck

  • Reservation list - Maintenance Orders

    Dear Experts,
Is it possible to get the list of reservations which are  created from Maintenance Orders based on the created date? ( not Requirement Date)
I want to list down the reservations created against Maintenance orders on a given date.
I checked MB24 / MB25 which is having Requirement Date not Creation date.
    Please advice a standard report.
    Thanks

    AM

    Hello Ashok,
I do not think you will get any such report where Reservation Creation date is available. Even if you want to develop a report with the help of tables, this too is difficult, because no such table holding this field is seen. If someone succeeds to develop such report, he must have used tables for change documents. (JCDS, CDHDR, CDPOS etc)

  • Reg:- Cost in Maintenance orders

    Hi
I have an issue with Maintenance Orders.
in Customizing i have created value categories and assigned cost elements to them but when i am posting the material which was reserved from the maintenance order the cost is not updating  in the value categories assigned to the order in Costs tab.
please any one give suggestion on this to how the cost is updated in the value categories in cost tab.
    Please reply...
    Regards
    Kumar

Check in OBYC for GBB - VBR for the material valuation class. Assign those cost elements in material value categories, so that cost will be updated under proper head.

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi Deepak1103,
Well, obviously you will have to settle the costs incurred at the maintenance order. The internal order should be mentioned in the settlement order field in the location tab of the maintenance order. What you can do is to ask your ABAP person to activate this enhancement IWO10004: Maintenance order: Customer check for order completion, use the CAUFVD structure to get the internal order number, then use the BAPI BAPI_INTERNALORDER_GETDETAIL and pass the details to the function module BBPG_BUDGET_CHECK and check the actual cost against the required budget. In case of a conflict raise an error other wise run the function module CK_F_IH_ORDER_SETTLE to settle the costs of the maintenance order to the internal order. Budget would also be consumed and you can verify the same in S_ALR_87013019.
