MATERIAL & VENDOR EVALUTION

CAN ANY BODY DONE MATERIAL & VENDOR  EVALUTION  LIKE MY SCENARIO IS  I  CONFIGURED 3 SELECTED  AS A  ACCEPTED ACCEPTED CERTAIN DEVIATION AND  ACCEPTED DEVIATION WITH PENALTY AND REJECTED   I DONE  QUALITY SCORE  ACCEPTED 100 ACCEPTED CERTAIN DEVIATION 70 ACCEPTED DEVIATION WITH PENALTY 30 REJECTED 1
IN CONFIGURATION DEFINITION OF QUALITY SCORE CLASS LIMIT I ALSO CONFIGURED  BUT WHAT IS THE MEAN OF EXPONENTIAL AND EQUIDISTANT IF I ASSIGN MY QUALITY SCORE  USAGE INDICATOR  ANYTHING WILL HAPPEN OR WE CAN AND I ALSO  TRIED ASSIGNED QUALITY SCORE CLASSES  FOR  INFO STRUCTURE SYSTEM NOT ALLOWED
FINALLY HOW  I WILL ASSIGN  MY QUALITY SCORE TO MATERIAL ANALYSIS AND VENDOR ANALYSIS KINDLY GUIDE ME IF ANY BODY DONE THIS  SCENARIO.

I hope you would have wrote it readable & formatted in good sentence...........
Nevertheless.......
As per SAP std settings....................
Both uniform and exponentially weighted classifications are predefined in the standard system. The uniform classification is proposed as the default.
Equidistant is uniform one ...uni formally increasing where as Exponential score is exponentially which is predefined.
Now Its only "statistics" & not "Evaluation" info structure you can assign here............
Warning: You cannot change classifications that have already been used! First, you must delete the data contents in the related information structures. You can then change the classification. Finally, you must update the information structures to provide them with data entries, provided that the original documents have not already been archived.

  • Vendor evaluation at material level

    Hi friends,
I have one requirement from client. A vendor supplies many materials. My client want to get report of vendor rating of the vendor for each material and material groupwise.
Can this objective can be achieved?
    Please suggest.
    Regards

    Hi,
When you run Vendor Evaluation (for all criteria), sysytem keeps log of all material level points the Vendor has achieved. You can view the same in transaction ME64.

  • Vendor Evaluation by Material and Material Group wise

    Dear Folks,
Customer requirement is to see subcriterion level scores of Vendor
Evaluation according to material, Material group wise. But the
datasource provided by SAP is providing the data according to
Purchasing Organisation level and Vendor level (0MM_PUR_VE_01).Is it
Possible to break the scores according to material group and material
as TC in r/3: ME6B provides ranking based on Main Criterion level
scores. If possible, what is the logic?
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Anil,
    Thanks for ur reply.
But Customer requires vendor evaluation data through Automatic route.
0MM_PUR_VE_02 caters to semi-automatic data which needs to be configured in r/3, and customer doesn't want to do that. Is there any other solution.

    Dear all
What I mean to say it, we do not have follwoing master in our company.
Material master, Vendor master & Pur.Info records,I did not know what configuration has been there in PRD server,But once we gave Authorization to our user regarding Vendor Report, they are getting the Vendor evaluated automatically,So I thought It is taking the material Group as a reference for Evaluation,That why i requesting your guy how we can do configuration in related to Vendor Evaluation.

  • Vendor Evaluation

Business Requires that for Vendor Evaluation, the scores to be at  material level  for the same vendor which means if they put the vendor number in the report parameter , the system will give them the vendor performance   at  material level .
    Example :
Materials  A and B were  purchased 10 times from vendor 100001 so the system will give:
The  on time delivery for Material A as 100 %  ( if he did good performance )
The on time delivery for material B as 50% ( if he did bad performance  ) ,they  donu2019t want the system to give the on time delivery for both the material as 75% (100+50 )
The benefit of this is that SRS can find out another resources for the material with bad performance .
    Any Thoughts on that?

    Hi Tafanzas,
The Vendor Evaluation system actually collects data on material level and then accumulates it for display in e.g. trs ME65. The data are collected in LIS and you can run the analyses from there using trs ME6H.

  • Goods receipt sub critaria in vendor evaluation

In vendor evaluation there is one sub-critaria goods receipt under main critaria quality, in this how system calcutae the tax.
i went through the sap help doc, in this it is mentiaoned that
"When you run an automatic re-evaluation for a vendor, the system selects all the incoming inspection lots for the vendor that lie within the validity period and calculates the average of the scores. The result is the vendor's score for the quality of goods received."
i m not understand with this. plz specify in your words and where we maintain the validity period?

    Hi,
In the sub-criteria Goods Receipt, system dows not calculate tax. In the main criteria of Quality, if your material is maintained for quality inspection type 01, then system creates inspection lots for GRN. The score of each inspection lot is calculated based on you settings (For example based on usage decision). The system then saves these scores of each inspection lot. These scores are then averaged out for all the inspection lots those lie within the validity periods.
    Hope this helps,
    Regards,

  • Vendor Evaluation in SAP

    Hi SAP Experts,
We want to implement the vendor evaluation system for all material and service vendors in SAP. We have evaluated the standard functionality in SAP and most of the requirements are met if we use the standard system. But we are facing few major problems.
Firstly it is regarding the evaluation level. The purchasing team wants to do the evaluation for each purchase order raised for the vendor. As per my understanding, we can do the vendor evaluation at the most at the purchasing info record level. This might not be sufficient for us.
Secondly, we have a lot of cases of Service POs where we dont have info records since materials are not involved. I am not sure if the standard system would work in evaluating such cases at each PO level.
    Appreciate your comments and suggestions.
    Thanx & Regards,
    Sateesh

    Hi,
Evaluating the vendor at PO level meaning we want to evaluate the performance of the vendor for each PO / Service PO. We want a provision to enter the ratings for each criterion for each PO. e.g. Quality of material for PO 45_01 and PO 45_02 would be evaluated seperately. Then we would like to consolidate the data at the vendor level.
    Hope this clarifies the doubt.
    Regards,
    Sateesh

  • Kindly suggest me regarding vendor evaluation (me63) score

    Dear Friends,
I have excuted the report of vendor evaluation but here for Price criteria ( subcriteria) 40,40 are coming and some times it is 46,48 are coming. and for other criteria delivery it is 68,70 like that it is coming. kindly let me know how much is the maximum score for delivery, quality and price. and how it is distributed in standard when i have selected equal weightage
    Regards,
    Saurav

    Dear Friend,
Kindly go through the below documents,
Define the weighting keys in SM30 - V_T147J. Weighting keys 01 and 02 are defined in the standard system. You combine the following weighting shares for the standard main criteria: Main criterion Key 01 Key 02 Price 1 5 Quality 1 5 Delivery 1 2 Gen. service/support 1 1 Ext. service provision 1 2 Define the criteria in SM30 - V_T147G - Double click on the line items In this step, you define the criteria by which the system computes scores for vendors and specify whether the scores for the subcriteria are computed manually, semi-automatically, or automatically. You can also store your own methods of computation for the scores for subcriteria in the form of user exits. The enhancement MM06L001 is available for this purpose. Define the scope of list in SM30 - V_T147M - Double click on the line items Define Purchasing Organization data for vendor evaluations in transaction OMGL. An example :- How the system calculates the score for the automatic subcriteria "On-Time Delivery Performance"? The system uses the statistics-relevant delivery date in the purchase order (Items -> Delivery Schedule) and the goods receipt date to calculate date variances. You use the statistics-relevant delivery date, for example, if you know that the vendor will not deliver the material as scheduled on September 15 but on September 30. Enter the delivery date as September 30, but enter the statistics-relevant delivery date as September 15. In calculating the score for on-time delivery performance, the system will then not use the actual delivery date, but the statistics-relevant delivery date. This has a negative effect on the score for this goods receipt. However, materials planning and control uses the realistic delivery date (September 30) which the vendor will actually adhere to. The system considers only goods receipts against purchase orders and scheduling agreements into stores and the release of GR blocked stock into stores. In the standard system, these are the movement types 101 and 105. Minimum Delivery Percentage - OMGL in the On-time delivery section If you do not want a vendor to receive a very good score if he delivered the goods on time, but did not deliver the required quantity, you can maintain a minimum delivery percentage in Customizing. Assume you set the Min. del. perc. parameter to 60% and the vendor delivers the goods on time, but only 55% of the ordered quantity. Although the goods receipt is punctual, it is not included in the calculation of the vendoru2019s score for on-time delivery performance. So that the non-scoring of the on-time delivery performance criterion in this case does not bring an unfair advantage in comparison with a poor score, the vendor is awarded a low score for quantity reliability. On-time delivery performance is thus always to be seen in conjunction with quantity reliability. Standardizing Delivery Date Variance - OMGL in the On-time delivery section To rate delivery date variances in days, maintain the Std.del.time var. parameter. If you assign a lower standard value, this means that relatively low date variances produce high percentage variances. If you set a higher standard value, this results in a relatively low percentage variance: The Std.del.time var. parameter has the value 20. The goods receipt took place on Nov. 27; the statistical delivery date was Nov. 15. There is thus a difference of 12 days. The system calculates the percentage variance as follows: 12 / 20 x 100 = 60 If the Std.del.time var. parameter had the value 60, the variance would be 20% (12 / 60 x 100 = 20). If you do not maintain this parameter, the system calculates the delivery time variance via the firm zone in the case of scheduling agreements, and via the order date and the statistics-relevant delivery date in the case of purchase orders.

  • PO Valuation Type for Vendor Evaluation

    Dear Gurus
I want to ask, can the Vendor evaluation program in SAP check the Purch.Order up to Valuation type ?
So the VE program can differ the valuation type in Purchase order.
    Any respond are highly regarded
    Thanks and Best Regards
    Christian
    Edited by: C J Lee on Feb 1, 2011 6:38 AM

    Hi Piyush,
Your answer is correct. Val type does not come from info record to MRP created PRs, even there is a fixed vendor in the PR, coming from source list.
But, this happens in the PO, that val type is an obligatory field, for a split valuated material.
In PR, it can only be maintained manually, I guess.

  • Automatic Sub-Criteria: PRICE HISTORY in Vendor Evaluation

    Hello All,
Can anybody help me in understanding what actually the following mean in Automatic Vendor Evaluation!!
    1) Effective Price
    2) Calculated Effective Price
    3) Actual Effective Price
    4) Calculated Effective Price for a particular Vendor
I see all this in the following link
    http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_03/helpdata/EN/8d/b97cf8414511d188fc0000e8322f96/frameset.htm
Under "How the System computes Scores:"
Under "Calculating Scores for Automatic Subcriteria:Overview"
Under "Price History (Main Criterion "Price")"
    Thanks

    Hi ZEYNEP,
    1) Effective price - End price after taking all conditions (for example, cash discounts, delivery costs etc.)  into account.
    2) Total Price - Price arrived at after taking all discounts and surcharges into account
    3) Total value = total quantity x price
When a price changes, the value of the stock changes, since the value is calculated from the price:
    4) Effective (actual) price: Net price minus cash discount and plus miscellaneous provisions and delivery costs as well as non-deductible input tax
In simple - Total Cost - Expenditure on material till Goods Receipt (Procurement) and Effective cost - including all expenses till delivery from factory or some times till reach the consumer (vary depend upon the nature of business).
    Here is an example
    Material Price is $ 1000/-
& Discount is 10% and tax is 10% and freight is $ 50/-,Fixed( it may also %)
So Here the Material Price is called Gross Price $ 1000/-
    Gross Price ($ 1000/-)- Discount {$ 100/-(10% of $ 1000/-)}= Net Price $ 900/-
    Here Net Price $ 900/-
    Tax $ 90/- ($ 900/- +$ 90 = $ 990/- is called sub-total)
    Freight $ 50/-
    $ 1040/-
The Total Price ($ 1040/-) is called Effective Price.
Hope this is helpful. Reward if useful.
    Thanks

  • Vendor Evaluation scores sub criteria price level and price history

    Dear all,
I have configured vendor evaluation with subcriteria price history and price level as automatis.
For test, I created a vendor and a material. Assigned market price for year 2009 and 2010.
Also info record price maintained for the vendor material combination.
    Vendor XYZ
    Material ABC
For 2009 Market price 8 and effective price 8.5
For 2010 Maket price 8.2  Effective price 8.5
Variance calculated 8.43% and score is 15. This was calculated correctly.
Now I created another material and maintained master data for that mater
    Vendor XYZ
    Material DEF
For 2009 Market price 18 and effective price 20
For 2010 Maket price 20  Effective price 22
Variance calculated 1% for which the score is 50.
When I go for vendor evaluation through ME61 , system is not considering the average of 2 scores. But giving a score of 50. Score bands are as follows.
    5     Price behavior     5.0     10
    5     Price behavior     10.0     15
    5     Price behavior     20.0     20
    5     Price behavior     50.0     20
    5     Price behavior     99.0     10
    5     Price behavior     5.0-     50
    5     Price behavior     10.0-     100
    5     Price behavior     50.0-     20
    5     Price behavior     99.0-     10
Pls help me resolve the issue

  • Vendor Evaluation - Price history

    Hi
In vendor evaluation the score for the subcriteria Price History is not getting calculated.
The scoring method that I have used is : Automatic Determ. from Purch. Statistics: Price Behavior
What can be the reason? How it is calculated?
    Regards

to determine how a vendor's price for a material has changed over the last few years, the material's price history is compared with the market price history.
The system first checks whether the buyer has maintained the current market price and last year's market price for the material.
If not, the system uses the price for the material group to which the material belongs.
If this price is not maintained either, the system uses the effective prices from the previous year and the current year. Prices from standard purchase orders for materials and prices from subcontract orders are dealt with separately.
The system then calculates the percentage variance between the old and new market prices.
The vendor's effective price is re-calculated with this percentage variance. The result represents the effective price the vendor should be asking if his price had changed over time in the same way as the market price.
This calculated effective price is then compared with the actual effective price, and a percentage variance is determined.
The system then awards the vendor the score you have maintained in Customizing for this percentage variance.
The system repeats this process for all the materials you procure from the vendor. Each time you start an evaluation, the system calculates the average score for all the materials. The result is the vendor's score for the subcriterion "Price History".

  • Vendor evaluation reports

    Hey Gurus,
During the pre-study for implementation of the vendor evaluation tool in R/3 my business team has asked for reports showing the data/orders behind the evaluations. If, for instance, a low score is computed for the u201COn-time deliveryu201D criterion they would like to know which orders/deliveries have caused this low score for a vendor.
They see a danger in contacting vendors with low scores and complaining/trying to negotiate better rates based on scores without being able to tell how the scores were calculated and which orders were u201Cbadu201D.
    Hope you can help.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
Normally you can use the "Additional Info´s" functionality but
the function 'Additional Infos' is not available for all subcriterias.
Especially for the delivery criterias it is not possible, because there
is no more detailed information in the system about the score which is
    already shown on vendor/material level.
The scores of delivery criterias are calculated for each GR but the
scores are not stored on this level in statistics. The scores are
stored on 'Inforecord-level' therefore there is no lower level
available in the protocol (no more detailed information about this
line). The function 'Detailed information' is only available for
    criterias with type '4' pricelevel
                        '5' pricehistory
                        '7' Quality lot GR
                        '9' Quality lot audit
                        '1' semi-autom. Criterias.
So, you can not have this information in the standard.
    Best Regards,
    Arminda Jack
