MATMAS05 - Create Material. Field closed

Hi,
I'm trying to create at material sending inbound MATMAS01 to SAP R3.
The error that i get is: "Specify a unit of measure"
MessType = MATMAS
BasicType = MATMAS01
I have tried to strip the idoc to be as simple as possible and now I only sending in  2 segments.
In the first one there is MEINS (unit of measure) attribut.
--E1MARAM
E1MAKTM
If I get into MM01 I get the same problem (Error: "Specify a unit of measure"). If I go into MM02 on another material I can see that the field is "not to be changed" its closed.
How do I open this field again....that will do it right ?
Points to the winner!
Regards
Martin

Or GOTO OMS9

  • I can create material using inbound Idoc of type MATMAS01, but not MATMAS05

I can create material using inbound Idoc of type MATMAS01 in WE19, but MATMAS05 failed. In fact I used same data ( different material number), and same inbound function, but got different result.
What is different between MATMAS01 and MATMAS05? Is there some configuation need for MATMAS05?
    My system is ECC5.0. Thanks.

    Hi, nagaraj
this is inbound IDoc, not outbound IDoc, so we can't assign Basic type in WE20, only can assign Message type.
In WE82, there are 5 records about Messagetype MATMAS:
         Message type   Basic type     Release
          MATMAS         MATMAS01        30A
          MATMAS         MATMAS02        30D
          MATMAS         MATMAS03        40A
          MATMAS         MATMAS04        46C
          MATMAS         MATMAS05        470
I think it should be ok.
In WE57, there 2 records are exist:
       FM_name                 BasicType       MessageType
      IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01       MATMAS01         MATMAS
      IDOC_INPUT_MATMAS01       MATMAS05         MATMAS
so I think all configurations should be ok.

  • MPN Material Field in Goods Receipt for Purchase Order

    Hi,
I have created PO for MPN material "MFG-A" for IM material " 123". ( ECC 6.0)
Already the material "123" is maintained with other MPN material "MFG-B"
The have checked the " MPN Change" check box in the respective Mfg Part profile( IMG: OMPN)
While I am doing goods receipt, the MPN material field is in display mode.
But in other system the field is in change mode.
Default the system will show "MFG-A" as the MPN material is maintained in PO.
But I need to  change the MPN materail at the time of GR.
I would like to change the MPN material from "MFG-A" to "MFG-B" while doing GR time.
kindly guide me what are the settings required to change MPN Material Field in Goods Receipt.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Kumar.

    Hi,
I have maintained all the settings.
But the issue was, I have not put the field "MPN material" (GOITEM-EMATN) as input field in field selection group in Inventory management.( it was in display mode )
Once I have changed to input option, I can able to change the MPN material while GR.

  • Saving of different Material code in the system while Creating material

    Hi,
Anyone can help me in following .
While creating material number, there should be some User exit which is going to change the logic for saving of material number in the system.
    Example:
Division and material Group should be added into the predefined number range.  Number range defined for raw material is 100000 to 199999. If division is 1A, and Material group is M01. The first number generated by system is 100000 , where as during saving into the table NUMBER SHOULD BE saved as 1AM01100000 & we must be able to work on the new number.
    If any query pl .revert.
    MG.

    Hi manish,
    This is possible using enhancement.
    Use the User Exit MGA00001
and code the below like :
    cmara-matnr = cmara-matnr+7(11).
    CONCATENATE cmara-matkl cmara-spart cmara-matnr into cmara-matnr.
set PARAMETER ID 'MAT' field cmara-matnr.
    CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'
    EXPORTING
    input = cmara-matnr
    IMPORTING
    OUTPUT = cmara-matnr
Hope it will solve your problem.

  • PO Material Field got grey-Error

    Hi All,
We have created  a PO by refering the PR with Accnt assignment category K, so the entry of matl code is not required, we entered the matl decription.
After that we have creted a PO with Account assignment cat A, as it is a asset, ..
In all these cases the material field was grey.
We done GRn for this PO also.
But due to some mistake we have cancelled the GRN.
BUT NOW THE PO MATERIAL IS BECOME GREY.
I have checked the PO it is showing open qty for all line item.
Please help me out why it become grey and how to make it as editable.
    Regards,
    Nagaraj S

    Hi,
as per your thread, you have made GRN and cancelled , hence automatically that PO is Open, where you are seeing the PO Material Field as grey ? in PO or in MIGO screen ?
In PO thru ME22n , you still can edit the material text

  • Create materialized view with specific column sizes

    Hi all,
I'm trying to create a materialized view with a specific a column size. Something like
    create materialized view test_mv
    refresh force on demand
    as
    select id,
           cast(my_compound_field as nvarchar2(50))
    from ( select id,
                  field1 || field2 my_compound_field
from   my_table);But Oracle seems to ignore the cast and takes the maximum size it finds for field1 || field2 in the select query. The resulting table has a column nvarchar2(44) instead of nvarchar2(50).
This can give a problem when the view is refreshed... there could be new data that exceeds the current size, i.e. where length(field1 || field2) > 44.
How can I override the column size of a field in a materialized view?
Edit: Some additional info to clarify my case:
field1 and field2 are defined as nvarchar2(25). field1 || field2 can theoretically have a length of 50, but there is currently no data in my table that results in that length, the max is 44. I am afraid that there will be data in the future that exceeds 44, resulting in an error when the MV is refreshed!

    Dear Kenneth,
do you need to add master data during load of transaction data in planning scenario? If yes, you can do this with a planning function of type exit in the INIT function module.
I think you've to use the table ETO_CHAS (table for char. combinations) and all kind of char. combinations has to be transfered.
    data:
    l_s_chas type /1SEM/_YS_CHAS_"YOURCLIENT"YOURPLANNINGAREA",
    l_r_co_area type range of /bi0/oico_area,
    l_s_costcenter type /bi0/pcostcenter.
    field-symbols:
    <f_coar> type /bi0/oico_area,
    <f_cctr> type /bi0/oicostcenter.
    select * from /bi0/pcostcenter into l_s_costcenter
                 where co_area IN l_r_co_area
                 and objvers = 'A'.
    <f_coar> = l_s_costcenter-co_area.
    <f_cctr> = l_s_costcenter-costcenter.
    INSERT l_s_chas INTO TABLE eto_chas.
    endselect.

  • Is it possible to Create Material Master without Profit Center ?

    Hai,
          1) Is it possible to Create Material Master without Profit Center ?
          2) How SAP System Validate Profit Center in material master. ? is it material Type wise ?
          3) Whether PO Order Creation,GRN & MIRO Possible for those material Master without Profit Center.?
    Kindly Explain me clearly..
    Thanks & Regards,
    Swetha

    Hi,
Profit center is at the plant level.
You can create material master even with out a profit center. This field will be there in the costing view and and general sales/plant data.
while creation of the materila master if do not select these views system will not ask for that.Normally it is pertaining to the costing analysis.
A profit center manager is held accountable for both revenues, and costs (expenses), and therefore, profits. What this means in terms of managerial responsibilities is that the manager has to drive the sales revenue generating activities which leads to cash inflows and at the same time control the cost (cash outflows) causing activities. This makes the profit center management more challenging than cost centre management. Profit center management is equivalent to running an independent business because a profit center business unit or department is treated as a distinct entity enabling revenues and expenses to be determined and its profitability to be measured.
Business organizations may be organized in terms of profit centers where the profit center's revenues and expenses are held separate from the main company's in order to determine their profitability. Usually different profit centers are separated for accounting purposes so that the management can follow how much profit each center makes and compare their relative efficiency and profit. Examples of typical profit centers are a store, a sales organization and a consulting organization whose profitability can be measured.

I have try to use Exit:EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001. However, this way cannot respones it.

Hi: Ihave find out a solution
    Use BADI: BADI_MATERIAL_REF
SPROlogistics general enhancement supplement or change default data (industry)
And then creating a Implementation Name
    Double click method: CREATE_MATERIAL
And then write code as below:
    method IF_EX_MATERIAL_REFERENCE~CREATE_MATERIAL.
              c_mbew-peinh = '1000' .
    endmethod.
However, SAP still store '1000' in database evenif we change the default value such as 100 when we use TCode MM01.
in additional, we still use MM02 to change the default value such as '100'
can anybody tell me how to do?
    thanks
