Saving of different Material code in the system while Creating material

Hi,
Anyone can help me in following .
While creating material number, there should be some User exit which is going to change the logic for saving of material number in the system.
Example:
Division and material Group should be added into the predefined number range. Number range defined for raw material is 100000 to 199999. If division is 1A, and Material group is M01. The first number generated by system is 100000 , where as during saving into the table NUMBER SHOULD BE saved as 1AM01100000 & we must be able to work on the new number.
If any query pl .revert.

This is possible using enhancement.
Use the User Exit MGA00001
and code the below like :
cmara-matnr = cmara-matnr+7(11).
CONCATENATE cmara-matkl cmara-spart cmara-matnr into cmara-matnr.
set PARAMETER ID 'MAT' field cmara-matnr.
CALL FUNCTION 'CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT'
EXPORTING
input = cmara-matnr
IMPORTING
OUTPUT = cmara-matnr

In the masterdbname, logging as sys user, you must grant select permission on sys.dba_constraints view to mvadmin_dbname user (where dbname is the replicated database name).

Bulk Insert Task Cannot bulk load because the file could not be opened.operating system error error code 3(The system cannot find the path specified.)

Following error i am getting after i chnaged the Path in Config File from
\\vs01\d$\\Deployment\Files\temp.txt
to
C:\Deployment\Files\temp.txt
[Bulk Insert Task] Error: An error occurred with the following error message: "Cannot bulk load because the file "C:\Deployment\Files\temp.txt" could not be opened. Operating system error code 3(The system cannot find the path specified.).".

I think i know whats going on. The Bulk Insert task runs by executing sql command (bulk insert) internally from the target sql server to load the file. This means that the SQL Server Agent of the target sql server should have permissions on the file you trying to load. This also means that you need to use UNC path instead to specify the file path (if the target server in on different machine)

Windows Server Essentials 2012 error code: 2147942403 The system cannot find the path specified

Running Windows Server 2012 Essentials with an external usb 3 drive as a backup device. Using a Vantec hx enclosure with a WD Red drive. Last night the Dashboard saw the drive with about half the 4TB available for backup. A.M., I get "error code:
2147942403 The system cannot find the path specified".
Going to the server desktop, I see a message indicating that the usb device malfunctioned. unplugging it, and plugging it back in, I now have it available via the dashboard.
This has happened a couple times with two different drives in Vantec hx enclosures.
A couple possibilities come to mind:
the enclosures may both be bad...
there is some problem with the system software and external usb drive.
Thoughts?
Suggestions for external enclosures?

According to your description, my understanding is that you cannot backup the Windows Server Essentials 2012 and got "error code: 2147942403 The system cannot find the path specified". You found the usb device malfunctioned.
Can you backup the server when you unplugged the usb device, and plugged it back in? If you can backup the server when you replug the usb device, you need to engage the vendor to resolve the hard drive issues.

I am looking at an issue with users not getting specific group policies.
After searching a number of client computers I found that the following error

I can find the folder in the Sysvol folder on all of the domain controllers.
The issue with end users seems to be that the proxy settings for internet explorer is not being applied.
Potential problems?

Hi all
In administering this policy I am a little confused.
We have a policy that distributes proxy settings in the internet explorer maintenance settings section - however when opening this policy up in GPO editor the internet explorer maintenance section is not present.
I plan to apply the settings via User/preferences/control panel settings/ internet settings (or registry settings from article) however I am unable to edit the settings for internet explorer maintenance and these will persist. Ideas????

You recieve your material from the vendor and do a Goods Reciept in MIGO with mvt 101. You can even enter via T-Code - MB1C.
Once you get your Invoice for this reciept from your vendor, you then do invoice verification in MIRO.
After verification, if there is no blocking of the invoices and is posted and released, a accounting document is released during the posting of MIRO. These documents are then referred by FI pals, who are responsible for the payment.
Hope this gives you a clear picture.

Settings for the system to create single requisition

MD04 shows there are two dependent requirements for a material.
The MRP is creating for every dependent requirement a new purchase requisition. So two purchase requisitions created for the two dependent requirements.
But Business wants only one Purchase requisition should be created.
For your information - The settings in the MRP4 is set on collective.
Where are the settings for the system to create single requisition?

Planning mode MD01 will not play any role in this case

BPC "The system cannot create the journal template"

I am trying to create a Journal template in BPC but whatever I do I get the error message "The system cannot create the journal template"
I am running BPC 5.1 and have tried with service pack 1 and now with service pack 5 installed. The system is on SQL Server 2000.
Has anyone come past this problem?

Please check how many sheets are in a default excel workbook on your client. If less than three, BPC fails to create the journal template. If that's the case, try setting default number of worksheets to 3, then retry journal template creation.
If the above is not the issue, then you'll have to check that reporting services is working correctly. As a first step, go to http://<app server name>/reportserver (or reportserver$<instancename> if you are using a reporting services instance and left it with the default name)
If that page compiles and shows without error, then try http://<app server name>/ reports (or reports$<instance name>) If that one also compiles/doesn't give errors, then reporting services is working.

am using category, group and time as my header dimension --
group dimension contains the LC.
please suggest what steps can be taken. Also while trying to access journal from etools we get the message journal not found.

What would cause the screen to swith between backgrounds as if it is being controlled remotely? the system had created 7 new folders on it's own.

System is currently switching between mutliple screens without me touching it. The system has created several new folders. The system is performing as if it is being remotely controlled.

How recently did you switch? If it's less than 60 days, then Verizon simply reinstates your previous account. The fact that you were on the EDGE plan and mailed the devices back, and they apparently are somewhere in the system, could cause complications, and it might just work out that you just go back on the same plan and they set you up with the same devices. I'm not sure how it will go - but since you are still being billed for the devices...

[SOLVED] Backing up the system while the system is running?

Is it ok if I backup the system while it's running? Or does it *have* to be done from a LiveCD?
I was thinking of using this:
$ sudo rsync -avx /* /mnt/Backup --exclude={/dev/*,/proc/*,/sys/*,/tmp/*,/run/*,/mnt/*,/media/*,/lost+found}
Rsync will complain at the end that "some files/attrs were not transferred", but the backup works fine (as far as I can tell).
Should I add "[...] > sometextfile.txt" at the end, to see which files weren't transfered right? Has anyone else done something like this before?

Making material short text grade out while creating PR

dear all
while making pr for materials,by t-code me51n, the system does not make the material short text diable/grade out.
eg if i select material from material master say material code 1000055-----& short text is --cement 53 grade.
then at the time of creating pr i can change the short text cement 53 grade to any off my choice.
logically this should not happend, as then their will not be any trace of PR in system.
pls let me know how to come out of this problems.
as we want that when ever we select the material from MM master, the system should make the short text grade out while creating the PR, so that further complication can be avoided.

this process does not work. beacause with this process the system disable the entire coloumn of short text in ME51N.
which is not our requirement.
the system should only grade out the material short text cell while we create the PR for material, so that one could not able to change the material short text which has come from MM master
is their any other solution for this.
