Mavericks can't use my macpro anymore....too slow

Hi eveyone,
I got huge problems since yesterday, my macpro as several problem like becoming very very very slow.
I have this wheel coming every seconds, opening a windows take 1 mn minimum,etc.... I check the hard drive but it seem to be ok.
I tried to verify permission but after one day it´s still not finish....this morning i noticed that spotlight was indexing,but because i reboot, spotlight do not index anymore but the problem(all is slow) is still present.
Yesterday, i also noticed that time machine did not save since one day too.
I also think spotlight and imessage do not work properly anymore ( spotlight do not recognize keychain app by example & Imessages do not recognize anybody anymore....
I have to say that i uploaded Mavericks for 1 weeks and it worked OK untill yesterday. I just had few small problem with keychain( com.apple.IcloudHelper.xpc want to use keychain 10 time by day) but that's all.
Anyhelp would be much appreciated cause i can't work at all now.

I tried many things but i still didn't find the problem, my mac is still very slow ( it take about 30 sec/1mn to open a window....)
What i did was:
- i download onyx for mavericks but each operation is very slow and often the process freeze before the end)
- i stop spotlight indexation ( never ending)
- i stop all timemachine process ( too long and never ending )
- i stop internet wifi connection
- i have verify permissions and disk ( restart +Cmd R) > All is OK
- in the monitor activity , i don't see any strange activity
- i change user session but it's the same...
If anyone could give an idea to explore ! It look like a disk problem but it´s not ( onyx smart test is OK too !!!)

Try to reset it. just press hold the on/off botton (ignore the red slider) just hold it then the ipad is automatically reset. dont worry about your file, there nothing happen to it. Godbless.

Why is it that no sooner do I update my iTouch 3G 32GB to iOS 4.3.5 that suddenly I can't use Wi-Fi anymore? The bar is greyed out and says "No Wifi". I can't use bluetooth either.

Is Apple not worried about the older models or what? My iPod was perfectly fine up until the 4.3.5 update. Now, I've lost about three or four $4.99+ games that I can't redownload for free, a whole music album, and I can't use wi-fi or bluetooth. I can't send in my iPod to get it fixed if that's the problem because my warranty's expired. I can't even find out if there is a problem without buying a help session. What's going on? It's almost like I need to buy a brand new iPod, and I don't have $300 to spend because Apple decided that the new iPods are more important than the old ones. Is there anyway I can fix this without downgrading or buying a brand new $300 iTouch?

If you encounter this issue, try the following steps and attempt to enable Wi-Fi or Bluetooth after each one.
Verify that Airplane Mode is turned off.
Update your iOS device to the latest version of iOS.
Reset Network Settings. To do this, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings
Restore your iOS device in iTunes.
If you are still unable to turn Wi-Fi or Bluetooth on or off after attempting these steps, contact Apple or your wireless carrier for additional assistance.

That would depend on if they phone is unlocked when you buy it or if it's attached to a certain carrier. I don't know what is available to purchase over there. In the USA, you can purchase unlocked phones that work on any carrier that uses the same technology.
I would check with an apple store or maybe the apple site for unlocked phones.

Parallels 9, XP, & OS X Mavericks - can't boot into Parallels anymore

I posted this in the wrong forum...reposting on the suggestion that this is the correct location....
I have Parallels 9.0.24251. I boot into XP. I was able to run Parallels 9 (yes very slowly) until the other week when I upgrade OS X. I was on the previous version of OS X, don't remember which one. But I update regularly. I use a MacBook Pro that's 3 years old.
Once this happened, I no longer could boot into Parallels. It told me to update the Parallels SW. I did. But it could not complete the installation of the Parallels tools. I would get about 15% of the way, and the process would fail. There is a huge troubleshooting page that talks about uninstalling parallels completely and then trying to reinstall. But there are so many "if that doesn't work" steps afterwards, I fear that may not work.
Anyone run into this problem? Is the issue with XP? I'm really trying to get a temporary fix and then just buy all mac versions so I don't have to use parallels anymore. It's too much of a headache.

It's likely an 'early adopter' problem with Parallels needing to tweak something following Apple's release of OS X 10.9.5.
I also encountered the Parallels Tools installation failure after upgrading Parallels 9 to the latest update a few hours after upgrading Mavericks to 10.9.5.
Parallels eventually gets around to fixing the issues that new Mac OSX releases create. Today I tried reinstalling Parallels Tools in my Windows 7 virtual machine, and it worked properly. I haven't run my XP virtual machine yet

DigiNotar CA Root - Now we can't use PPC macs anymore?

To anyone who can respond to my question.. I just found out that Apple is no longer going to provide security updates to those running Leopard or even Tiger. Its regarding this Digitar CA Root certificate which can have disasterous consequences for us who still use and or enjoy PPC macs. Is there really a need to panic here or is it just me?
I use my Power Mac G5 for everyday stuff while my Mac Pro lies on the floor, dismanteled as I don't know as of yet what to use it for. I am really concerned for my G5 and my information as I heavily use my G5 for everyday tasks. Should I be wary of this certificate in keychain? I followed all the instructions I foind out about this certificate on www.lowendmac.com, but I wonder if my system is still safe now that Apple won't provide security updates anymore to those who still use Leopard?
I set my browsing to Private browsing in Safari 5.0.6, and also deleted the DigiNotar certificate in the keychain manager..
Someone please shed some light on this..

Inspect each DigiNotar Root CA certificate (right click > Get Info)
Expand Trust
Set When using this certificate: to Never Trust
Not trusting a certificate should invalidate the complete subsequent keychain of trust but because of the bug in Safari/Mac EV SSL certificates still validate even if signed by an untrusted CA. Until this bug has been confirmed and fixed by Apple the only way to circumvent this problem is to delete all DigiNotar certificates from your keychain.

Download a package that will delete the DigiNotar Root CA certificates and will revoke the trust on the two root certificates and the four DigiNotar intermediate certificates. The package is now at version 2.1. Please use this version instead of versions 1.0 and 2.0.
Update (11-Sep-2011 9:35 PM EDT): Apple has finally released an official fix for Snow Leopard and Lion. If you are running Leopard on PPC machines, the version 2.1 package has been tested and works with Leopard. Still no sign of an update for iOS, unfortunately.

MacBook air won't install Mavericks, can't use utility to restore

I Tried to update the operating system on my 2013 MacBook air, it gets stuck about 12 minutes in then won't install. I have tried to use the disc utility to restore previous os but it says the disc needs repair but the repair function is not availabl. Any ideas how I can fix?

It was is lion or 10.7, now when I start up it goes straight to the maverick installation prompt. It goes through this for a few minutes then comes up installation failed. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance. So for some reason it's not allowing the installation of new so to be completed but I think it may have gone to far to restore old OS.

I can not use my Netflix anymore on safari. there is something wrong with the silverlight app. how do I fix this?

Netflix used to work on my McBook Pro. Now it won't. The Netflix site keeps wanting me to download Microsoft Silverlight. I had it on my computer. I spoke with Netflix support and uninstalled and reinstalled Microsoft Siverlight too no avail. Netflix support said it is Safari with the problem. I do not think my Adobe Flash Player is working either. I recently had an adware infection and resolved it with Adware Medic. How do I fix the Netflix and Adobe issue?

Apple does not replace your battery. Instead it replaces your old iPod with a refurbished one (with a new battery). What version of Office did you have? 2004 and earlier won't run on any OS later than 10.6.

Can I use my MacPro on it's side?

I have a need to use my mac pro on it's side for a studio application. Are there any risks involved in this. Obviously the optical drive will not be very useful this way, but for this particular application that will not be an issue.

No issues so long as you place it with the optical drives on the left so the expansion slots are at the bottom and the case opening is on top. Optical drive will work fine sideways as well.
