MC-Q out put to excel

Dear Experts,
When I am exporting out put of T-code MC-Q to excel, all data coming in one row, but in many columns. How to fix this problem.

Its not possible to export data directly from 6i to excel but you can export in text file and then open it in excel it will open very easily but keep it in you mind first eliminate all report groups.
and
There is a trick to capture Oracle Reports output (text output) into a excel sheet.
Basic Steps :
1) Set the output format for the report to XML
2) Run the report to generate output.
3) Save the output file locally as a XML file.
4) Open the file using MS Excel.
5) To make it more beautiful, you may use a MS Excel Template

    hi,
    We are using Reports version 6.0.8.22.0 on 9.0.1.0.1.
    We are having reports whose output comes in two lines. The report works fine on the screen. But when i generate the delimited output then the order of the data is changing from the output on screen. And the Headings and data are not coinciding in the excel output. how to achieve correct result?

    Try using DESFORMAT=DELIMITEDDATA
    The column order will be as in your data model

  • Out put to Excel from Reports

    hi all,
    Our current Reports version is Report Builder 6.0.8.22.0. We are having a report with 4 level grouping. When we generated Excel output, the data in excel is coming as follows :-
    The first 3 groups of data is coming in the first row and the 4th level data is coming in the second row. How to achieve every thing in the same line?
    For the report i created layout through Report Wizard and didn't disturb the arrangement of the fields.
    Can any one suggest a solution??

  • XML PUBLISHER report in Excel out put problem

    Hi Experts,
    I have developed one XML report which output type is EXCEL in Oracle Application.
    I am getting some -ve value in the report so I need to do the trailing sign
    Menace for example I got a value -8645 I need to display the value like (8645).
    This functionality is working in PDF output but in EXCEL out put it is not working.
    Could any body please help me on this..

    My report is working fine  it is showing data in XML but it is not showing data in Excel output.   Excel output is empty.
    i have attached  excel and xml files.  please help me.
    FYI: these are migrated reports from 10g to 11g.

    Using ua.bat  we upgraded 10g to 11g., we got sucessfully message.
    after upgrade if i try to open excel it is not showing opening and showing action instead of excel name . I though  excel out put has corrupted. i downloaded excel layout from 10g and  uploaded in 11g report using upload layout.
    we did not make any changes in database.
    below one is not related to this one  but  .. after upgraded reports  multi parametrs  did not work if i select more than one column ( i opened as different topic) then i have removed
    ( (coalesce(null, :P_PPD_REGION) is null)  and kept(region.X_REGION in (:P_PPD_REGION) from following statement then i did report is working with multi  parameters.
    my doubt is is it correct thing i did ?  if not how can   my multi parameter will work .  we are using oracle as database.
    AND ( (coalesce(null, :P_PPD_REGION) is null) or (region.X_REGION in (:P_PPD_REGION)) )
    AND ( (coalesce(null, :P_COUNTRY) is null) or (region.REGION_CD in (:P_COUNTRY)) )

    now i am working on sales and purchase order report. For this i have created three radio button on selection screen one for sales 2nd for purchase and 3rd for both. when i click sales radio button it is going to display only sales data in ALV out put list as well as in EXCEL sheet.
    problem:-
    Some layout fileds (out put fields) i am storing in VARIENT and when i have passed this VARIANT in a SELECTION-SCREEN so here the output is ok for me, and i am unable to display these same fields in EXCEL sheet for this Please could u tell that how we do this. please send the logic for this.

    you are not getting me ...
    see your itab will have all the fields irrespective of variant used. so you can directly use itab to download.
    i guess you are using alv tool bar option to download.
    but i am telling to use your own button to download the report using your own button with GUI_DOWNLOAD Fm.
    for this you pass your ITAB and and then give the file name then this will save all the fields to excel file.

    my issue is in this report i am not seeing data along with column headers also . total output is blank.

    just i want to know how to export the out-put of the query into exel using unix(spool)

    A lot of people rob banks too.
    You can spool an output to a file delimiting columns with commas if you wish. But that is outputting a file not outputting to Excel.
    Personally I'd fire anyone in a data center I caught outputting Oracle into a non-secure unauditable form and putting the organization at risk.

    The problem i have is that i have to get info out of an excel file like a database. So i have to be able to perform a kind of query, but to an excel file. Is this possible?
    lay-out excel file:
    number | request | chemical composition
    | | C | Mn | Si | ....

    i should have to be able to search on the number and read the differend % (C, Mn, Si). This % are used in a formula to calculate a value that is used for DAQ
    I can do this action with an acces DB, but not with excel. The problem is that they used excel for some years now (where i work) and changing the excel file to a DB would be a very long w

    I tried it like you said, but i get the error: -2147217865
    exception occured.
    [Microsoft][ODBC Excel Driver] The microsoft jet database engine could not find the object 'Sheet1'. Make sure the object exists...
    So he doesn't seem to recognize a datasheet as a table (if i may compare it like this) when i choose the microsoft Excel driver with the workbook as described in your answer.
    Any ideas?

  • Csv report out put problem

    am trying to generate delimited format report on command prompt.
    out put is to huge and it gives error . To over come this when I turned page break to yes the report will be generated successfully but the out put number of rows are being doubled.
    suppose initially I am getting 100 rows , With page break set to yes the out put in

    i created the Characteristic value variable not formula variable
    in char variable i can't see the off set functionality but we can see off set function in formula variable
    user requirement he wants enter the input value as date and he need last week data means one week data calday wise.
    i tired the 0PREVWK , 0CWEEK these two variables these not asking the input and direct showing the out put.
    these can achieve through the customer exit?
