MDX hangs for some members, others results are OK

I have this MDX query:

that executes in 1 second (very good for me) if I use
descendants(
[Estrutura Organica].[Estrutura Organica].[Filial].&[3503110]
but if I use
descendants(
[Estrutura Organica].[Estrutura Organica].[Filial].&[3501110], --another member
It gives a memory error.
Can someone help me understanding this behaviour?

I
noticed that the query works fine for the members that have less descendants, but the volume data diference is not expressive, let's say, about 20 or 30 rows as crossjoin result.

whenever i start standalone oc4j server, after using the application in server' url, if i go to jdev it will hang for a min or so.

I recommend resetting the System Management Controller (SMC) on your iMac:
Resetting the SMC for Mac Pro, Intel-based iMac, Intel-based Mac mini, or Intel-based Xserve
Shut down the computer.
Unplug the computer's power cord.
Wait fifteen seconds.
Attach the computer's power cord.
Wait five seconds, then press the power button to turn on the computer.

Windows 8.1 PC, using reader, when searching a folder containing approx 100 doc's. If i search for a word, no results are returned. only the doc names can be found but nothing from within the doc. This is a new problem and was not the case before.

I just went through this and it appears that my Focusrite Saffire was the culprit. I connected all the outputs on the focusrite according to the way the jacsk on the back were labeled and then set up the multichannel speaker setup to match. Then I went into STP, created a pink noise clip and panned it around, the LFE, center and rears were not in the right place.
I reconnected the hardware to match the 5.1 pan pot in STP then changed the multichannel speaker setup to match. Everything appears to be correct now but I would have loved to have been able to just assigned the output busses to correct outputs in the saffire.
Next step is to pan that pink noise around with my SPL meter to calibrate the room.

Outlook Client hangs for some Time

I have a small network with 1 Exchange Server 2010 having This Version
Exchange Server 2010
Microsoft Corporation
Version: 14.02.0387.000
70 Client computers with 50 Directly connected with in the intranet and rest of them are mobile and are connected using exchange outlook proxy
Computers within the LAN from past Few days are stuck for some Moments
Client specs are Win8.1 Pro with Office 2007 Eset endpoint Sec
Some cleints with XP are fine I think that this issue is with server rather than the client

How many users encounter this issue? Does the issue only happens to Win8.1 with Outlook 2007 client?
Please make sure the latest patches and service packs are installed for your Outlook client. Please make sure you are using Exchange Cached mode in Outlook. We can click Send/Receive > Send/Receive All Folders to check whether there is any Errors shown
in the Outlook Send/Receive Process window, please collect the complete error descriptions and post it here for further analysis.
Additionally, please test the problematic account in Win8.1 with Outlook 2013/2010 to check whether the issue persists. Also start Outlook in safe mode (Start > Run > type Outlook /safe and enter) in the original computer to have a try.

Ah, thanks. Goes to show how carefully I look at keyboards these days...
So Opt(alt) on the Mac should map to Alt on PC.
It would actually be helpful if the OP told us waht the shortcuts were meant to do...

Can it be possible to disable outlook anywhere for some few users who are working from home ?

One of my customer wants to disable outlook anywhere for some of the users who are working from home.They have exchange server 2013 in their premises and also have outlook 2010/2013 on their clients machine.Please advice?

In Exchange 2013, all Outlook connectivity (Internal and External) are using Outlook Anywhere anyways. It is not recommended to use the following command to disable Outlook Anywhere for a specific user:
Set-CASMailbox UserA -MAPIBlockOutlookRpcHttp $True
If you disable it, the UserA would not be able to access the mailbox from both Internal Outlook client (Office) and external Outlook client (Home).
For your requirement about disable Outlook anywhere for some few users instead of all external users, there seems to be no method to achieve it directly in Exchange server. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Images are not showing in Google Reader for some websites, others are fine

Some blogs show images in Google Reader, some do not. I can click on the blog subject and go to that blog directly in another tab and I see the images just fine, just not in the reader.

Data Re-Import does not work for some records stating there are duplicates

Thousands work, hundreds do not with the failure code "A record was not created or updated because a duplicate of the current record already exists.
Is this a data integrity issue in CRM and the same GUID is in use?
I do get a partially imported record for the import, but the data is not updated.

I am trying to update my Account records by exporting them and re-importing. I have been successful with re-importing many thousands of records but there are some which are refusing to be updated. The error I get is "a record was not created or updates
because a duplicate of the current record already exists".
This doesn't make sense to me because I'm selecting the option to prepare the data for re-import: "Make this data available for re-importing by including required column headings."
I can't find anything special about these records nor did I find anything special about the records that
were successfully imported.

Links in .pdf work for some, not others

Hello all,
I've tried a search on the forums to see if my question might already have been answered, but I didn't find anything, and was hoping someone here might have an idea for me:
I have two users, each using Adobe Pro 9.1.1 and IE 7.0.5730.13. They are sent an email that links to a web page that contains links to various pdf documents. One user can open all the links just fine. The other can open about half the links, the other half come up with an error that says the document does not exists. It appears to be looking in the temporary internet folder as opposed to going out and getting the document. When I try to copy and past the link to the document in the browser, I get the same error.
I went into the options for Adobe Pro and told it to open the document in a web page, but it insists on opening up Adobe Pro and trying to display it from there.
Again, two users have the same versions of Adobe and IE and yet have different results.
Anyone have a suggestion as to what the problem could be?

It does not work; if I right-click and select save-as, it is looking in the temp directory for the document, and if you hover over the link, it is trying to send you straight to the temp directory for the document. Very strange, as looking at the same website on the other person's PC, the link goes out to the correct directory.
A little clarification; these .pdf files exist on a shared network drive. Users are sent to a web page that has links to the documents on this shared drive.
This particular user has the same permissions to that shared drive as the other person does, and all the .pdfs linked in the webpage exist in the same directory on that shared drive.

Wake on Demand: Not working for some services, others OK

I haven't been able to figure this problem out... Wake on Demand for a previous generation Mac mini running Snow Leopard 10.6.8 works for things like a CrashPlan automated backup but does not work for things like remote SSH login or Screen Sharing. In all cases, the services are being originated on a latest generation iMac running Mac OS X Lion (10.7.2).
While it's not an earth-shattering event to get off my backside and walk over to the Mac mini across the house to press its Shift key to waken the thing, it gets rather old to have to keep doing so, especially since CrashPlan automated backups are taking place while the Mac mini is otherwise asleep (the sleep indicator is slowly pulsing).
I've been through the Apple tech notes regarding Wake on Demand for Snow Leopard 10.6 and have ensured that AirPort and its network are at the top-most position in their respective lists. Other than that, I'm not sure what else I can do. Wake on Network is enabled in the Snow Leopard Mac mini's network System Preferences and there doesn't seem to be any on/off option in the AirPort Extreme base station (just recently updated to 7.6 firmware).
Any thoughts... hints... suggestions?
One final note: this Mac mini is new as of July 2011; just days before the latest generation of Mac mini came out. It came pre-installed with Snow Leopard and, as soon as the users of this mini find software replacements for the old PPC style applicaitons they're used to using, will be upgraded to Lion. However, I feel a bit unsettled in making the move to Lion if I can't get a Snow Leopard feature to work properly. There's no telling if the Lion upgrade will actually fix this behavior or make it worse.

I don't think you can wake on network with a closed lid. Try keeping the lid open and putting the machine to sleep. Does it work?

In Thunderbird while trying to move conversation results to an archive folder; if some of the results are already in the folder it will not move any.

Hi. I often use the conversation search option when archiving my emails from inbox. I find this a very useful method of finding trails where I and multiple people have responded to each other. However If I have already moved one or more of these emails into the archive folder and select all to move, Thunderbird will not move any. I then need to individually select those that need to be moved.
Although not a major issue I use this regularly and often come across the problem. a recent fix which allows location tab to remain on in search helps but does not resolve this issue. A slightly annoying problem and I was wondering if any one else has this issue. Also is anyone looking into a solution?

FCPx answer: At least the answer that worked for me...
I had the same problem, as I believe many others had.
In my case the problem was with one of OSX Mavericks' new features: APP NAP.
It looks like this is ON by DEFAULT for ALL Applications and that FCPx, or Compressor for that matter, will not work if this is enabled on them.
I just disabled App Napp on FCPx and now it works, again, like a charm.
