when i use measure studio 8.0 in vs2003 to setup a new measure mfc application,meet an error,like below,how can i do???:

I see that nobody has responded to your message so I was wondering if you are still having problems? By the nature of the message, the first step to try would be to perform a repair on Measurement Studio as it seems something is corrupt with the integration between VIsual Studio and Measurement Studio.

Help files measurement studio

Hi you Gurus,
I just bought full version of measurement studio. I installed it succesfully and started using it wihout problem untill I needed help ressources. The measurment studio did not installed any index extension help. I do not have acces to class,function definitions... Is that normal or what... Please help soon

That is not normal. Where are you looking for the help? You should be able to find it in the Start Menu under Programs->National Instruments->Measurement Studio->Help->Measurement Studio Reference. If you do not see this, look for a Help directory under the directory where you installed Measurement Studio. If the Help directory is there, look for a file called msref.chm and double-click that to launch the help.

LV8,5 Dev Suite install, error "Measurement Studio for VS2003 not installed""

Hi guys,
Installing LabVIEW 8.5 Developers suite, installed LV8,5 OK, but all otehr products (CVI, Studio, etc) come up with error messages as per attached photo, "measurement Studio for VSXXXX not installed"
When should I have installed this ? which DVD has this ?
Any help apreciated

Do you want to install Visual Studio, CVI, etc.? It looks like you are running the device drivers DVD, and must have told it to install All device drivers, rather than just the ones it determined you needed when it scanned your system. So when it tries to install the device drivers for VS and CVI et al, it can't find that software on your PC. If you want that software, they would be on other CD's in your Developer's suite package. Install that, then run the Device Drivers DVD again.
If you only want to install Labview, rerun your DVD for your device drivers again, and only install the features that it wants. I find the device drivers DVD takes a long time to initialize, and I believe that is because it is scanning your PC to detect what other National Instrument products you have installed so it can populate the list of what drivers you need to install.

Coding error using measurement studio

hello..
can somebody tell me where can i get help on coding the measurement studio using VB.i'm doing an interface programing with a dc servo motor.i'm using a fuzzy logic controller(FLC) to make the output of the servomotor to follow the input, which i'm using a square wave input.i'm having coding problems on linking the FLC with the harware.i'm not quite good in visual basic, so can anybody help me with the coding?i can send the vb coding of the FLC and the hardware interface coding. i've successfully implement PID controller.. but i can't seem to make the FLC work. i think there's something wrong with the coding.
and how can i make the graph go more faster? output from the graph is very slow, compared if i probe the output from the servomotor harware using a digital oscilloscope.

I recommend the Measurement Studio Reference as a resource. This reference is installed with Measurement Studio and can be found on your computer from Start>>Programs>>National Instruments>>Measurement Studio>>Help. The Measurement Studio Reference includes information on the Measurement Studio ActiveX controls and tutorials.
Next, is the FLC you are using part of a Measurement Studio Add On? Are you using the PID Toolset for VB?
Then, if the graph you are using is a CWGraph, you can access the properties of the graph by right-clicking and selecting Properties…. Click on the Graph Tab of the Property Pages window and check that Control Refresh is set to Immediate. This has the graph redrawn as soon as new data is available.

Installing Measurement Studio 2010 has caused error PRJ00003 errors in VC Projects

After installing MS 2010, I tried opening and even creating a basic project from existing code and when compiling, I am now getting the following error:
error PRJ00003: Error spawning 'rc.exe'
which seems related to not being able to find kernel32.lib
Anyone know any insight about this? I've found lots of other people having this issue and it seems some path or something got messed up. Just wanted to check to see if anyone else had this happen.
Some system info
C:\Program Files\Microsoft SDKs\Windows has v5.0 folder with Include and Lib\IA64 folders (kernel32.lib is in there) and a v6.0A folder which has an empty bin folder and Bootstrapper with bunches of stuff
And my MVS folder is such: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 9.0
And regedit sdk key has CurrentIA64Folder and Version as the two keys pointing to v5.0

I have a couple of questions about what you are experiencing:
1. Is this happening with all projects or do projects not using Measurement Studio functions compile successfully?
2. I'm assuming you are building Visual C++ projects, but have you tried compiling other projects in Visual Studio?
3. What version of Visual Studio are you using?
Also, some things to check:
1. Some people who have ahd this problem found that their virus scanner thought rc.exe was an infected file and was isolating it.
2. Check to see if rc.exe is located in the following:
   C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\Common\MSDev98\Bin
   C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98\Wizards
   C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\Common7\Tools\Bin
   C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\bin

Install Error when trying to install Measurement Studio 7.0

I am receiving two erros when trying to install Measurement Studio 7.0:
"The installer cannot setup Measurement Studio for Visual C++ while Visual C++ is open. Please make sure Visual C++ is closed and click ok."
"Although you have the proper version of Visual C++ installed on your system, it is not configured properly. To correct this problem, run Visual C++ and exit it, then run this installer."
I am running Windows XP and have installed Visual Studio.net Academic Edition. Will Measurement Studio work with Visual Studio Academic Edition, or do I need the professional edition? What can I do to solve this problem?

Are you installing the Measurement Studio support CD and having this problem? If you are using Visual Studio .NET 2003, you don't need to install the Measurement Studio support CD ( check my post here).

Error when trying to Install Measurement Studio 7.0

I did not mention this before, but the disks, Measurement Studio Professional Edition for Windows XP, Visual Studio.net and the Device Driver Reference CD installed fine. The Measurement Studio Professional Support for VIsual Studio 6.0 did not install properly. Do I even need to install this disk if I am running Visual Studio.net?

If you are using Visual Studio .NET 2003 with Measurement Studio, you do not need to install the support for Visual Studio 6 CD. You would only need to install this CD if you are planning to use VB 6.0 and VC++ 6.0

I want to ignore NiFieldPoint71D.lib from using project setting(Linker->Input->ignore Specific Library ) but still it is showing same error.
In the project Setting I am done following setting:

Measurement Studio Evaluation Software - Instrument Driver Factory

Greetings,
I have a copy of the Measurement Studio Evaluaiton Software CD. I've
installed the Labwindows/CVI Demo and Component Works Demo. Wanted to
check out the Instrument Driver Factory (located in VB\Instrument
Driver Factory). When I launch IDF.exe I get an error which states
that I have to install Labwindows/CVI. I tried the installation a
couple of times with the same results.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I have tried the installation on two machines.
The first system has Windows XP Pro along with Labview 6.0.2 / MAX /
PCMCIA-GPIB / Visual Basic 6.0 / Visual Basic.Net
The second system has Windows 2000 and Visual Basic 6.0
The Instrument Driver Factory error reads:
The ComponentWorks Instrument Driver Factory cannot locate
Labwindows/CVI. In order to use the factory, please install
Labwindows/CVI version 5.0 or greater.
The Measurement Studio Evaluation Sofware CD installed Labwindows/CVI
5.5 The CD picks a path of "C:\MeasurementStudioDemo\CVI\"
The Instrument Driver Factory is installed in
"C:\MeasurementStudioDemo\VB\Instrument Driver Factory\"
The Instrument Driver Factory is installed when the Component Works
for Visual basic is
installed.
The part number on the installation CD is 350654B-00

Conflict between ActiveX from LabVIEW and Measurement Studio?

We're small software company from Poland. We're developing our product
(SCADA/HMI and integration system heavily based upon Measurement Studio
graphic controls) in C++ for Win32 environment (MSVC 2003 Edition C++
Compiler). Today we ran into serious problem: our client, one of the
biggest Polish companies that sell automation software and hardware, is
evaluating our product. Company staff members are using LabVIEW, too
and have various version of LabVIEW installed on their PCs. It turned
out that our program displays message that license is needed for
Measurement Studio ActiveX controls, and crashes, when ran on PC with
LabVIEW installed! (This one has LabVIEW 6.1, 7.0, 7.1 simultaneously
installed).
While I gues that crash is not Measurement Studio's fault (I guess that
control fails to create and throws exception which is not catched by
our code...we'll fix that) I'm pretty sure that this "license" stuff
is. Of course we have legal version of Measurement Studio 7.1, and all
controls used in our software have their respective licenses generated
and compiled into application (we create all controls dynamically). We
have never run into such problem before, and we're using Measurement
Studio for years...please help.
Some additional details: control that failed is CWBoolean in "3D Diode"
configuration. Other controls, including CWBoolean in another
configurations seem to work OK, at least I was told so (it's pity that
I don't have faulty configuratio here...will try to reproduce it using
some kind of LabVIEW evaluation version).

Hi Michal,
This is actually an error message that is usually fixed pretty simply by using our License Fixer. Sometimes the licenses for the ActiveX controls can become broken in Measurement Studio. This usually happens if you install drivers after installing Measurement Studio or a program created using Measurement Studio. You can find the License Fixer here. Try this out and let us know if you still have any trouble.

Measurement studio expired first day I install

Hi,
I download Measurement Studio 2009 for Visual Studio Evaluation yesterday. I installed it with Labview 2009 and DAQmx 9.2.1. My OS is XP sp3. I have a DAQ card DAQ-6024E. And I tried to output a analog signal using the card. So, I found out there is an example from NI after installation named "GenVoltageUpdate" in the folder \NI-DAQ\Examples\MStudioVC2008\Analog Out\Generate Voltage\. I used VS 2008 to try to run this program in debug mode. There was a box popped up "The Measurement studio evaluation has expired". I checked the Measurement Studio>> License, and it shown as the figure attached. None of them has expired yet.
I don't know why there is such message about expiration. I hope someone can help me.

Hi, I installed today (02-12-2011) the evaluation version of Measurement studio 2010 for Visual Studio 2008.
Checking the licence page from the Measuremt studio menu I get thet all the components I installed should expire on 13/03/2011.
The problem is that if I try to execute any sample code provided I get the following error:

I tried using the Measurement studio active-X License fixer. In the Licensed controls list there is "3D Graph control 8.0" but in the Elvaluation Licenses list and the Broken Licenses list the is no controls at all.
Is there something else I can do?

Measurement Studio NumericEdit Control is Not Working

I installed Measurement Studio 2013 with Visual Studio 2012 Professional yesterday and imported my previously developed projects on (VS 2010 Express). Web controls and C# coding working fine.
I started Measurement studio chapter 2 first exercise to add control WaveformGraph, Gauge and Legend on my page and working but when add NemericEdit control then it gives me JavaScript critical error …….. SCRIPT1014 Invalid character. I am using window 7 and IE11 cleared cache already.

Hi Bashir,
I was able to reproduce this issue in IE11. Please note, Measurement Studio 2013 supports IE6 - IE10, so we have not tested the Measurement Studio 2013 ASP.NET controls with IE11. However, what you are seeing appears to be a result of IE11 dropping support for conditional compilation for javascript (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ie/121hztk3(v=vs.94).aspx). Because of this, when the Visual Studio debugger is attached to your ASP.NET website, you see an unexpected character exception.
Please note that the documentation for Web Browser Compatibility with Measurement Studio Web Forms Controls says that IE9 and 10 are only fully supported in compatibility mode. I took the liberty of testing IE11 in compatibility mode, and the Visual Studio debugger message stopped appearing.
