  • BAPI to create Measurement Point

    Hi all,
Can anyone tell me the Bapi to create Measurement Point.
    Thanks
    Sanket sethi

Do you want to create a measuring point or a measurment document ?
Measuring points are generally predefined in the config, we can create a measuring document for these measuring points  by using the FM :ALM_ME_TOB_MEASRMNT_DOC_CREATE

  • Looking for Idoc / BAPI to create measurement document in PM IK11

    Hi All
I am working on interface development wherein I need to use a BAPI or IDOC or combination of both to create measurement document in PM.
Do you guys know how can we do it easier way. Is it that I can post idoc directly or need to post it using a BAPI.
I am trying to avoid any BDC or CT for this purpose. Please guide on how to do that.
    Amol

I don't find them listed in the BOR, but look at function modules named like: BAPI_MP*.
You might be able to utilize these for both the measurement point and the measurement document.  At another assignment, I had a situation with IDOCs that could call up to 12 BDC/CT sessions, etc.  I wrote a function module that was triggered by the inbound IDOC start process, and I utilized BDC and CT to do the IK01, IK11, etc.  Using a BAPI would have been better, but the code was really pretty simple for the measurement stuff, since the transactions are simple and easily recorded.

    Hi,
If you want in repository than for your logical table source of your fact go to content and there is where clause... Filter your fact as you need...
But in this case if you want to see those fact in answers allways it will be filtered...
If you want in answers or dashboards create a prompt for mounth level with between and set in your report to is prompted...
For second problem in answers go to column properties -> data format -> check 'Override Default Data Format' -> find the format that is closer to what you need
then select 'Custom' and then override with exactely what you need...
Finally click on button save and select 'system wide ...' for that case that you need that column or that data type...
If you find this usefull, please be free to award points

  • How to create Measures for count on Flag colums in FACT with a CONDITON

I have about 6 flag columns in my fact table and I would like to create measures in my report with count as aggregation on these flag columns with a group by on a condition.
I am able to do this very easily with SQL query but am really stuck with on how to achieve this in OBIEE.
Each of my measure should be to do an aggreagation of count on the flag column with a condition such as is flag true/false.
    Eg:
    Measure1 - Select count(INV_ID) from payments_f where Flag 1 = "TRUE" and Flag2 = "FALSE" GROUP_BY (COLUMN1)
    Measure2 - Select count(INV_ID) from payments_f where Flag 2 = "TRUE" and Flag3 = "FALSE" GROUP_BY (COLUMN1)
similar conditions for all the flag columns.
I tried to write the where condition in the Content tab of the Logical table but unfortunately it does on the table level - which was not very helpful to me
I really appreciate if some one can help me on how to achieve this.
    Thanks in Advance

You need to create a new logical column in your existing logical table. Then you need to set the physical mapping to:
    CASE WHEN FLAG1 = "TRUE" AND FLAG2 = "FALSE" THEN 1 ELSE 0 END.
    Set aggregation rule to Sum.

  • U2018Ea unit of measure has not been created in the language ES u2018in srm

    Dear Friends,
I have checked in ECC & SRM in table T006A (UOM languages). UOM "EA" is defined in ES (Spanish).
Also in comm_hierarchy also i  chked for product category language maintenance and found maintained in EN,ES languages.
u2018Ea unit of measure has not been created in the language ES u2018
I have tried with sapanish (international sort, dominic, traditional sort)& rest of spanish spoken country languages but i am getting the same error.( IE- tools-general-languages & refreshed the page). u2018Ea unit of measure has not been created in the language ES u2018
    Regards,
    William

    Hi Willam,
When are you getting this error ? i.e. while creation of shopping cart or process purchase order..
I believe this issue is due to creation of UOM..which means EA UOM should be created with EA language.
For further details please have a look on
    http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/SI/UnitofMeasurerelatedsettingsinSAP
where they have specified that "Maintain UOM in different languages by logging to the system with different logon language"
    Kindly confirm.

  • Create Measure Folders with Oracle Warehouse Builder

    Hello,
Is there a possibility to create Measure folders (similar to what Analytic Workspace can do) but with Oracle Warehouse Builder?
    Thank you,
    Liviu Florean

    Hi Liviu
Unfortunately not. OWB generates a measure folder for the entire cube by default for deployment to AW. If you are keen, you could create an expert to generate/deploy the measure folder (define a UDO for a measure folder and an expert to generate the code for AWXML).

  • Universe design creating measure issue

    Hi All,
I created measure in an universe and exported to WEBI. While running WEBI report with the universe, it is giving invalid data, Instead of displaying values it is displaying #DATATYPE.
    Thanks,
    Poorna

    Hi Poorna,
Can you please try to change the datatype of object at database level. Please check the data type at the universe level as well and cast it to number even if it's datatype is number.
Please try this and let us know if you face any issue.

  • How to create restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1

hi i am bhaskar ... how to create restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1 and how to restore system from a restore point in windows server 2008 service pack1.. is this option available or not ? what is the difference between shadow copies and
restore point ? instead of restore point we have this shadow copies option in windows server 2008 ?Bhaskar

AFIK, Restore Points doesn’t exist in Windows 2008.
Volume Shadow Copy option can be used to achieve:
Creating consistent backups of open files and applications
Creating shadow copies for shared folders
Creating transportable shadow copies using a hardware provider — for backup, testing and data mining scenarios
Quickly recovering and restoring files and data
It is more like a file, data, application backup.

  • How to create Mount Point in Linux

    Hi,
I m new to Linux OS, want to install Oracle EBS R12 on OEL 5.6 . I have downloaded s/w and installed all required packages for OEL.
Now i want to create Staging directory at location /u01/StageR12.
Can anyone guide me for how to create Mount point /u01 and how to assign space of 53 GB to it.... ?
    Reply awaited...

    You're on the right path.
Keep in mind though what you need partition wise just for o/s install. You should have at least 3 partitions:
    - a ?? GB partition for the / (root) mount (the size depends on what you will install and how much space you will need for running that s/w)
    - a 128MB or larger partition for the /boot mount
    - a ?? GB partition as swap space mount (typically rule of thumb is 2x RAM for 4GB and lower, else around 25% of total RAM)
I would not create separate partitions for the old-style +/u01+ mount points for Oracle. That part of the OFA (Oracle Flexible Architecture) standards are old and pre-ASM and pre- automated Oracle managed data files.
You need space for installing an Oracle Home. I do not see the need for a dedicated mount point for that. I use the root file system.
You need space for the actual database. If you use Oracle ASM, then I would create raw partitions (across disks) to be used for database storage. These will not be mounted or formatted. Instead these will be assigned to an ASM diskgroup (and striped by default) and used for database storage.
If you do not use ASM, then you need a cooked file system for storage of database file. In that case separate mount point(s) make sense. Also, it makes sense not to manually apply the old OFA standards, but instead use Oracle managed database files. In that case you need a single mount point (e.g.<i>/oracledb</i>) - and set that as the base directory for Oracle to use for the database. Oracle will create an OFA compliant database directory tree and files under that base directory/mount point.
Keep in mind that the more mount points you have for the database, the more difficult your job becomes to manage storage. The easiest is a single mount point for the database and using Oracle to manage the OFA compliant side for you on that mount point.
Also, you cannot and should not attempt some kind of manual striping layout of the database across multiple mountpoints. This may have made some sense back 10+ years ago. It no longer does.

  • How to create watch points in ECC 6.0

    Hi Experts,
How to create watch points in ECC 6.0
    Thanks.

    Dear Kalyan,
The moment the debugger starts, there will be an icon for "Watchpoint" exactly after F5, F6, F7, F8 and a big STOP red button on the application tool bar. Once you click on that Watchpoint button, it will take you to the screen where you need to define the exact field and its relative operator along with the condition to be checked.
Hope this is clear. No navigation needed for this.

  • How to create bullet points in BoilerPlate 'Text' item...

    Hi,
I have a requirement of generating a form. In that form there is a static section which contains bullet points. Is there a way to create bullet point in oracle reports.
I am using paper layout. As output is required in PDF format.
    Thanks

    Hi Arshad
You may try this trick to introduce bullet character in Reports on Windows platform:
    For Boilerplates:
In Application such as Wordpad, hold Alt and press 0149 on numeric pad. This will insert a bullet mark in the editor. Copy this text and paste it in Reports Paper Layout.
    For Fields:
Create a formula column (Character type) in the same group as the column that you need to bullet. Return the following result:
    return ' ' || :<your_column>;
All the values based on this Formula column will display a Bullet mark.
    Hope this helps.
p.s. character 149 is bullet character in most fonts.

  • Any tips on clicking on the volume line to create a point?

I find it extremely difficult to create a point on the volume line to adjust the volume in a track. Anyone else find this frustrating? It seems that the cursor has to be EXACTLY on the line to create a point. Ugh!!!

Command+click, that's what you are looking for
The Mouse Pointer changes to the Pencil Tool when holding down the command key and now you can do two things:
click anywhere in the Automation Lane to create a Control Point
clic-drag to create a series of Control Points to create an Automation Curve. The slower you drag the more Control Points are created.
All that and more hidden details, not mentioned in the documentation, are found in my new book "GarageBand X - How it Works". Those little things really speed up your workflow when you know how to use them or even know what is available in the first place.
For example, drag a COntrol Point up and down while holding down the Control Key to move change the COntrol Point value by finder increments (decimal dB values)
    Hope that helps
