Mediator static routing - Wait for 1 to complete
Hello,
I have 1 mediator which has 2 static routing rules. Each routing rule calls an asynchronous BPEL (BPEL1 & BPEL2). Is there a way that I can tell mediator to not kick off BPEL2 until it receives the callback from BPEL1?
Thanks!
Sam
Hi Sam,
Not sure about the mediator option about Time Out , but you can acheive the goal in BPEL.
You can make 2 calls to 2 mediators ( split ur 2 routing rules in 2 mediator ) and have an wait activity in first call of BPEL.

Waiting for Task Completion from multiple users
iam using Weblogic8.1 Integration BPM to design a worklist application. I need
to create a number of Tasks(number know only at runtime), assign to users and
wait for the completion of each of these task. I've tried using the Task Control
factory to accomplish this. But iam not able to hold the process instance execution
till each of these task is completed. The control gets released from the TaskControlFactory_onTaskCompleted
as soon as one of the above created task is completed.
Pls. let me know if there is a way to achieve this.

Raja V.Try to put the onTaskCompleted Control Receive in a loop which counts how
many of these
callbacks have already arrived, and the loop exit condition would be that
the count is equal
to the number of the created tasks.

Wait for move complete not waiting for timeout
Hi,
I am running a small rotary stage with a 7358 motion controller. Occasionally when I command a new position, the "wait for move complete" seems to get triggered almost immediately even though the move is not complete. Since I have put in a "halt" downstream of this to cover the case where the move times out, the move stops immediately. The problems seems interrmittent but I haven't discovered a pattern yet except that is happens for more often when making a reverse move, i.e. I go to 1000 counts as a forward move and then back to 800 as a reverse.
Has anyone seen something similar?
Thanks,
Dave
David A. Tayloroops syntax error! I put waitComplete, but it's supposed to be moveComplete as the last argument for flex_wait_for_move_complete. Just want to let you guys know that. Thanks!

Timeout error in Wait for Operation Complete VI for TEKDPO4054 scope driver
Hi,
I keep getting a timeout error (-1073807339) when I run the "wait for operation complete" sub-VI that comes with the tektronix DPO4000 series oscilloscope driver. I'm using a DPO4054 scope. The error out source is the VISA Read STB command, but I can't figure out what's wrong. Has anyone else encountered this error? Please help!
Thanks for your time!
I've attached the sub-VI where I'm having this problem.

MS2026 -anvna Wait for Acquisition Complete -ERROR
Hi Everyone,
I wrote a labview program (LV 7.1) with instrument MS2026A VNA (Anritsu) and it was working fine.
However the original equipmet stopped working last week and we have received a loaner (until our is fixed), same model, but does not work with my labview program. I even try running this equipment with the sample program provided by NI: "anvna Acquire Trace Example" and it gives me an error -please refer to attached pictures.
The error is in the "anvna Wait for Acquisition Complete.vi." I think it has to do with timeout (256). I have added delays all over but nothing helps. I used to have this same problem on the first instrument but it disappear "mysteriously."
Could somebody point me to way to fix this issue? Thanks very much,
Frank

I have a few questions about your application.
Is the replacement instrument the same revision of the instrument you sent to get repaired?
Is the device at the same address?
Are you able to successfully communicate with the instrument in max using GPIB commands?
You might want to verify the program is calling the instrument by the correct alias or address and you are calling the device correctly. Also, I would check and see if there is a newer version of the IVI driver for your instrument. IVI drivers can be found at the link below.

Why "wait for operation complete" error ?
HI,
When I use the vi "Read multiple waveforms" there are an errors that appears in the VI "wait for operation complete" and I cannot found the cause of this error ! Can you bring me your help on this suject ?
Thanks you beforehand
Here my vi in LV2013

Sans titre 1.vi 17 KBIt would have helped if you would have stated that this was for a Tektronix 7000 series scope.
I see two possible issues here:
1) The scope never sees the trigger and therefore never sees a waveform to capture
2) The scope is setup to continuously capture waveforms. Since the scope isn't stopping, it won't report being complete.
There are only two ways to tell somebody thanks: Kudos and Marked Solutions -

Check for Null in Mediator Static Routing filter
Using Expression Builder for Mediator component how can I check the values for NULL in a particular XML element. In my case the XSD is
<xs:complexType name="OdsCadDataSet">
<xs:choice>
<xs:element name="odsCadCase" type="OdsCadCase" minOccurs="0"
maxOccurs="1"/>
<xs:element name="odsCadEvent" type="OdsCadEvent" minOccurs="0"
maxOccurs="1"/>
<xs:element name="odsCadUnitStatus" type="OdsCadUnitStatus"
minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="1"/>
</xs:choice>
</xs:complexType>
I want to check in expression builder of mediator whether odsCase, odsCadEvent, odsCadUnitStatus is been processed. I have three static routing for each element and plan to put filter which checks is odsCadCase is null and so forth. How to have this use case.
Thanks

Hi,
I am currently programming a 7344 motion control board in Visual C++.
Right now I am using the function flex_wait_for_move_complete function but it causes an exception error when passing the pointer, moveComplete, into the function ( it is the last argument).
According to the prototype, u16* waitComplete is a returned pointer the function returns. 1 if move is complete, 0 if move is not. Maybe I am referencing it and using it the wrong way.
In my function
void moveSingleAxis(..)
u16* moveComplete = (u16*)1;
//some code
status = flex_wait_for_move_complete(boardid, NIMC_AXIS1, NIMC_AXIS_CTRL, 10000, 20, waitComplete);
//status is used for error checking, but irrelevant to my problem
If I make the pointer to 0 or NULL, flex will error and say pass in null pointer . If I make the pointer to any other number it causes null reference exception error. Any help? thanks!
-Mikeoops syntax error! I put waitComplete, but it's supposed to be moveComplete as the last argument for flex_wait_for_move_complete. Just want to let you guys know that. Thanks!

Patched Deployments issue: "waiting for another installation to complete"
I have some percent of computers which runs into above state in monthly patch deployments. I could minimal information from execmgmr, udpatesdeployment.log,
CliSpy and Client Center etc tools but that doesn’t offer much help to nail down the issue completely. Have any of you dealt to resolve such issue successfully ? Is there any efficient way to handle this ?
It seems I have

VasuHi Vasu,
This issue can be caused by a deployment was previously deployed and was now deleted. This was because the clients finished installation
and wanted to notify the Server that it is done, but since the deployment was deleted, it couldn’t Notify its progress to the site server and the CCM_DeploymentTaskEx1 got stuck.
Please use the following scripts to delete the instance to test this issue.

Set objWMIService = GetObject("winmgmts:" & "{impersonationLevel=impersonate}!\\" & strComputer & "\root\CCM\SoftwareUpdates\DeploymentAgent")

Configuring MPLS VPN using static routing
Hi,
I am managed to set up a BGP/MPLS VPN in a laboratory using CS3620 routers running IOS 12.2(3) with ISIS. I am thinking of using static routes among the PE and P routers instead of a IGP. Does anyone know if Cisco routers supports static configuration of LSP? I have tried but could not get it work. You can very well run MPLS with static routing in the core, as in Cisco we have to meet 2 criterias to have a MPLS forwarding Table.
1) Creating the LIB
This thing lies in having LDP neighborship netween two peers and you have Label bindings.
This is irrespective of what is the best next hop to reach the advertising peers LDP_ID.
2) Creating the LFIB
Now after considering all the Label bindings, the LDP_ID which can be reached out an interface
as a next hop, those Label bindings get installed in the LFIB.
So considering the above two points, we have to be careful in static routes
only for interfaces like Ethernet (Multiaccess Segments).
As in CEF when you give a static route pointing to an Ethernet Interface, CEF creates a
GLean Adjacency (Meaning there could be multiple hosts as the next hop on this segement, and it will glean for the right next-hop)
Now you may observe that when you give a static route only pointing to an Ethernet interface,
you LDP adjacency may come up and you may exchange the bindings with each other. But the Label Forarding Table is not created. This is bcos of this being a Multiaccess interface. And you have
Glean For it. If its a Normal WAN interface like Serial or POS, then there is no problem of
GLean and you would have a Valid Cached Adjacency.
So to avoid probelems with Ethernet interfaces you can simply specify the next-hop-ip address.
For Eg: ip route 10.10.31.250 255.255.255.255 10.10.31.226 (Without the Interface)
ip route 10.10.31.250 255.255.255.255 fa0/0 10.10.31.226 (Or with the Interface)
Only Difference in both is in the first one it has to do a recursive lookup for the outgoing interface. Otherwise both work well. And you can have static routes in your network
running MPLS.
And doing this CEF would would work as it should and you would have a Valid Cached Adjacency.
So this is applicable for Cisco devices which use CEF, including 6500 with SUP720.
HTH-Cheers,
Swaroop -
RV082 does not reliably pass one-to-one static route anymore
Greetings!
I've been pulling my hair out, and hope someone can help. I have a RV082 connected to a Comcast business-class internet with 6 static IP's one-to-one routed to specific internal hosts. This configuration has been stable for several years.
A few days ago, the RV082 stopped routing most of the external static requests to their specific internal hosts. External machines only display the "Can't connect to the webpage" error. Rebooting the RV082 re-enabled correct operation for about 30 minutes, then it failed again.
I pulled out my backup RV082, flashed it with the current configuration, and swapped it in. It acted the same - external statics route correctly for about 30 minutes, then it just stops.
Anyone have any ideas as to where I can look to figure this out?
Thanks - JoeFunny that you mention calling the Small Business Support Center - I was talking with them most of yesterday afternoon. I must say that I received *excellent* support from them! It's been 18 hours without a failure (whereas before it was failing after 30 minutes or sooner).
I will not hesitate to contact Small Business Support in the future for any other difficult problems - very professional, and took the time to understand my environment.
Thanks - Joe -
2911/k9 lose static routing table entry
Hi,
my cisco router 2911/k9 with release 15.2(4)m6a lose default and static routing table entry every day, and after a reload the entry came back to my routing table.
this is an extract of my config:
interface Serial0/0/0:0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay IETF
frame-relay lmi-type cisco
interface Serial0/0/0:0.1 point-to-point
ip address xxxxx.1
ip access-group 100 in
ip load-sharing per-packet
ip inspect cccc in
no cdp enable
frame-relay interface-dlci 100
interface Serial0/1/0:0
no ip address
encapsulation frame-relay IETF
frame-relay lmi-type cisco
interface Serial0/1/0:0.1 point-to-point
ip address yyyyy.1
ip access-group 100 in
ip load-sharing per-packet
ip inspect cccc in
no cdp enable
frame-relay interface-dlci 100
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 xxxxx.2
ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 yyyyyy.2
and more ip route static specific
Please, Who can help me? Can be a bug ?Hi,
It could be a bug but at this point, I am not that bold to assume that. We need more information.
May it be that your Frame Relay connection flaps? Is it possible that your subinterfaces go down? Please check the logs to see if the interfaces or subinterfaces change their status (up/down).
Can you verify the logs if there are any notes of recursive routing?
When you say the router loses the static routes, do they both completely disappear from the routing table? Do they at least stay configured in your running-config?
As a last-resort measure, turn on logging of debugging messages by logging buffered 1000000 debugging and then start the debug ip routing command. This command will cause a debugging message to be recorded every time there is a change to the routing table. At least we will see what event caused the default routes to disappear. You will probably need to run this debug running overnight till the default routes disappear.
Best regards,
Peter -
DNS is waiting for AD to signal the initial replication has completed
Hello,
First off, thank you for your help in advanced. Any help you can offer would be appreciated, and let me know if there's more information you need
me to provide, or utilities to run.
I have just joined a Server 2012 R2 DC to my Server 2008 R2 domain. Topology is it only had one DC previously, the 2008 R2, running AD/DNS/DHCP.
I ran the forest prep & domain prep on the 2008 R2 domain controller, then ran a dcpromo on the 2012 R2. From there, I migrated the FSMO roles over to the 2012 R2 server using ntdsutil.exe. The ultimate goal is to retire the 2008 R2 DC and
bring on line a 2nd 2012 R2 DC for this domain.
My Issues
Windows 7 client PC's do not always resolve/pass traffic to the Server 2012 R2 server, sometimes I need to ping
the server by IP before it will resolve, other times if I just repeatedly double click on the shared folder mapped to the Server 2012 R2 DC it will work eventually. This is intermittent/random,
and not always repeatable with any specific procedures. Sometimes the user will be working, then all of the sudden they can't resolve DNS to the internet, nor internally.
I am getting the following errors in the event log on my 2012 R2 DC

Description:
The DNS server is waiting for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) to signal that the initial synchronization of the directory has been completed. The DNS server service cannot start
until the initial synchronization is complete because critical DNS data might not yet be replicated onto this domain controller. If events in the AD DS event log indicate that there

Operations which require contacting a FSMO operation master will fail until this condition is corrected.
FSMO Role: CN=Partitions,CN=Configuration,DC=carman,DC=local
User Action:
1. Initial synchronization is the first early replications done by a system as it is starting. A failure to initially synchronize may explain why a FSMO role cannot be validated. This process is explained in KB article 305476.
2. This server has one or more replication partners, and replication is failing for all of these partners. Use the command repadmin /showrepl to display the replication errors. Correct the error in question. For example there maybe problems with IP connectivity,
DNS name resolution, or security authentication that are preventing successful replication.
3. In the rare event that all replication partners are expected to be offline (for example, because of maintenance or disaster recovery), you can force the role to be validated. This can be done by using NTDSUTIL.EXE to seize the role to the same server. This
may be done using the steps provided in KB articles 255504 and 324801 on.
The following operations may be impacted:
Schema: You will no longer be able to modify the schema for this forest.
Domain Naming: You will no longer be able to add or remove domains from this forest.
PDC: You will no longer be able to perform primary domain controller operations, such as Group Policy updates and password resets for non-Active Directory Domain Services accounts.
RID: You will not be able to allocation new security identifiers for new user accounts, computer accounts or security groups.
Infrastructure: Cross-domain name references, such as universal group memberships, will not be updated properly if their target object is moved or renamed.

Description:
Active Directory Domain Services could not use DNS to resolve the IP address of the source domain controller listed below. To maintain the consistency of Security groups, group policy,
users and computers and their passwords, Active Directory Domain Services successfully replicated using the NetBIOS or fully qualified computer name of the source domain controller.
Invalid DNS configuration may be affecting other essential operations on member computers, domain controllers or application servers in this Active Directory Domain Services forest,
including logon authentication or access to network resources.
You should immediately resolve this DNS configuration error so that this domain controller can resolve the IP address of the source domain controller using DNS.
Alternate server name:
HSSserver.carman.local
Failing DNS host name:
25346b74-2fc2-4311-a54d-d500669d4026._msdcs.carman.local
NOTE: By default, only up to 10 DNS failures are shown for any given 12 hour period, even if more than 10 failures occur. To log all individual failure events, set the following
diagnostics registry value to 1:
Registry Path:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\NTDS\Diagnostics\22 DS RPC Client
User Action:
1) If the source domain controller is no longer functioning or its operating system has been reinstalled with a different computer name or NTDSDSA object GUID, remove the source
domain controller's metadata with ntdsutil.exe, using the steps outlined in MSKB article 216498.
2) Confirm that the source domain controller is running Active Directory Domain Services and is accessible on the network by typing "net view <DC
name>" or "ping <source DC name>".
3) Verify that the source domain controller is using a valid DNS server for DNS services, and that the source domain controller's host record and CNAME record are correctly registered,
using the DNS Enhanced version of DCDIAG.EXE available on
dcdiag /test:dns
4) Verify that this destination domain controller is using a valid DNS server for DNS services, by running the DNS Enhanced version of DCDIAG.EXE command on the console of the
destination domain controller, as follows:
dcdiag /test:dns
5) For further analysis of DNS error failures see KB 824449:

Description:
The DNS server is waiting for Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) to signal that the initial synchronization of the directory has been completed. The DNS server service cannot start
until the initial synchronization is complete because critical DNS data might not yet be replicated onto this domain controller. If events in the AD DS event log indicate that there
is a problem with DNS name resolution, consider adding the IP address of another DNS server for this domain to the DNS server list in the Internet Protocol properties of this computer. This event will be
logged every two minutes until AD DS has signaled that the initial synchronization has successfully completed.

Hi All
Is it possible in IOS to have for a particular subnet:
a) Two static routes?
b) Make one static route a higher priority than the other?
c) If one static router "goes down", failover to the lower priority static route?
We have a l2tp/vpdn connection to a supplier which can be accessed via two vlans/routes. I would like to make one route the preferred one but the "route" to failover if the preferred route goes down.
Again, many thanks in advance for all responses!
Thanks
JohnHi John,
Hope the below explaination will help you...
R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 2.2.2.2
R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 3.3.3.3 10
If you notice the Administrative Distance for the secondary route pointing to ISP2 is increased to 10 so that it becomes the backup link.
The above configuration with just two floating static routes partially accomplishes our requirement as it will work only in the scenario where the routers interfaces connected to the WAN link are in up/down or down/down status. But in a lot of situations we see that even though the links remain up but we are not able to reach the gateway, this usually happens when the issue is at the ISP side.
In such scenarios, IP SLAs becomes an engineer's best friend. With around six additional IOS commands we can have a more reliable automatic failover environment.
Using IP SLA the Cisco IOS gets the ability to use Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) pings to identify when a WAN link goes down at the remote end and hence allows the initiation of a backup connection from an alternative port. The Reliable Static Routing Backup using Object Tracking feature can ensure reliable backup in the case of several catastrophic events, such as Internet circuit failure or peer device failure.
IP SLA is configured to ping a target, such as a publicly routable IP address or a target inside the corporate network or your next-hop IP on the ISP's router. The pings are routed from the primary interface only. Following a sample configuration of IP SLA to generate icmp ping targeted at the ISP1s next-hop IP.
R1(config)# ip sla 1
R1(config)# icmp-echo 2.2.2.2 source-interface FastEthernet0/0
R1(config)# timeout 1000
R1(config)# threshold 2
R1(config)# frequency 3
R1(config)# ip sla schedule 1 life forever start-time now
The above configuration defines and starts an IP SLA probe.
The ICMP Echo probe sends an ICMP Echo packet to next-hop IP 2.2.2.2 every 3 seconds, as defined by the “frequency” parameter.
Timeout sets the amount of time (in milliseconds) for which the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation waits for a response from its request packet.
Threshold sets the rising threshold that generates a reaction event and stores history information for the Cisco IOS IP SLAs operation.
After defining the IP SLA operation our next step is to define an object that tracks the SLA probe. This can be accomplished by using the IOS Track Object as shown below:
R1(config)# track 1 ip sla 1 reachability
The above command will track the state of the IP SLA operation. If there are no ping responses from the next-hop IP the track will go down and it will come up when the ip sla operation starts receiving ping response.
To verify the track status use the use the “show track” command as shown below:
R1# show track
Track 1
IP SLA 1 reachability
Reachability is Down
1 change, last change 00:03:19
Latest operation return code: Unknown
The above output shows that the track status is down. Every IP SLAs operation maintains an operation return-code value. This return code is interpreted by the tracking process. The return code may return OK, OverThreshold, and several other return codes.
Different operations may have different return-code values, so only values common to all operation types are used. The below table shows the track states as per the IP SLA return code.
Tracking
Return Code
Track State
Reachability
OK or over threshold
(all other return codes)
Up
Down
The Last step in the IP SLA Reliable Static Route configuration is to add the “track” statement to the default routes pointing to the ISP routers as shown below:
R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 2.2.2.2 track 1
R1(config)# ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 3.3.3.3 10
The track number keyword and argument combination specifies that the static route will be installed only if the state of the configured track object is up. Hence if the track status is down the secondary route will be used to forward all the traffic.
Please rate the helpfull posts.

Naidu.
