Members of a group

Im looking for a small script that when ran, will prompt for a group, any group in AD.  After the group is manually supplied the script will extract all group members to csv.
Thanks in advance

  • Can not add members to a Group as Group Administrator

    Hi,
    My collegue has created a Group 'WE_PM_group' and added me to that Group with role 'Group Administrator'.
    But when I connect to the 'Create Group Or Add New Members' tool, then after SSO and acknowledging the 'read and understood Beehive Online Guidelines', it does not show the 'WE_PM_group' (it shows no Groups) and I can only Create a group.
    My question : how can I add members to the Group that my collegue created and for which I am Group Administrator ?
    Note : When I connect to the BeehiveOnline Administration Tool, I indeed see my e-mail address within the Group 'WE_PM_group' and with the correct role (Group Administrator)
    Thanks for your help,
    Peter

    If you go to the APEX app and have any group - like your Administrator - you will have a list of group - each of them is a hyperlink. Click on the group and the Group settings will be displayed - one of the fields is the Manager email. Get him/her to puit your email in that field, separated by a comma, and you are good to go.

  • How can I set up an SMS group so that all group members can dial a group number and have a text sent out to all members of the group

    How can I set up an SMS group so that all group members can dial a group number and have a text sent out to all members of the group
    This would be an SMS group similar to an email listserv but running on the SMS network
    I have seen private individuals offering this service
    It seems strange to me that no internet site like Apple, Yahoo or Google offers this as a free service much as the email group services are free services.
    Steve

    I think the app GroupMe might do what you want. You might also try contacting your carrier. My carrier offered some fancy group texting service for a while but they never really advertised it so, unless you asked, you never would have known. But, GroupMe is available in the app store. There are lots of other apps that also do group texting but it seems to be the one that gets recommended the most.

    Hi,
    FieldPoint Explorer is no longer used to configure FieldPoint systems. However, I do not think that the configuring your system in FieldPoint Explorer is causing the error.
    FieldPoint systems are now setup in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX).  Information on setting up FieldPoint systems in MAX can be found in the MAX help under: Installed Products>> FieldPoint. Also, I recommend upgrading to the latest FieldPoint driver and version of MAX.  The FieldPoint VI's will be slightly different when you upgrade, so there is a good chance that this will eliminate the error.

  • How to edit members of a group in Address Book?

    I need to add and delete members of a group in my Address Book. There seems to be no Edit function, though, and although I managed to type in a new name, when I opened the group, the new name had disappeared (and the old, deleted names reappeared).
    Underlying that problem - and the real problem that drives me to write you - is that there is apparently no HELP function that would contain lot of How-To-Do-Directions. Having that would improve the program significantly.

  • ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 1 of thread 1

    Hi
    I'm restoring a database on a different host. I have the backups, from which I want to restore the database. I made the corresponding changes in the initSID.ora file and started the script to do the restore.These are the steps I followed:
    connect target=/
    run{
    startup nomount;
    allocate channel c1 type disk;
    allocate channel c2 type disk;
    allocate channel c3 type disk;
    allocate channel c4 type disk;
    restore controlfile from '/tmp_backups/rman/lev0_open_cf_SID_2826_1';
    alter database mount;
    set newname for all datafiles
    restore database;
    set until logseq = 29317 thread = 1;
    switch datafile all;
    recover database;
    alter database open resetlogs;
    One mistake I made here is that logseq should have been last seq+1, which I did not do. I have it as last seq.
    Restore of datafiles and switching of datafiles was fine. But I get error for redo log files.

    Why is it looking for at the old path yet?
    I'm not sure what I missed and how to proceed. Please help.
    Thanks,
    Mamata

    I do believe that set newname for all datafiles only means actual datafiles and no redo logs. So with open resetlogs, Oracle tries to create new redo logfiles where the backup controlfiles says they are.
    As with creating a auxilliary database in another filesystem, we use DB_NAME_FILE_CONVERT and LOG_FILE_NAME_CONVERT.
    I am not sure if it is possible to type "set newname for all datafiles" and expect also the redo logfiles to change location.
    You might try to set these two parameters and see if it works.
    good luck.

  • Lsgrp - list all members of a group

    lsgrp is a small and fast utility written in C that does just one thing: it lists the members of a group. It can be used in scripts that need to do something for each user in a group, such as setting up directories or generating per-user configuration files. There is a section on the project page explaining why a new utility was necessary.

    I agree, addressing a new message to a group using Address through the Mail program seems to fill in just the first recipient's name.
    A work around is to start your new message, click on Address and select the group you wish to send the message to. Take the extra step to highlight the first person in the group and then command-A to select all. When you then click on the To: button all of the recipient's will be in the address line of your mail message.
    Alternately, start your new message and then type the name of the group in the To: line (don't use the Address button at all). You don't have to get all of the name typed in before the group name is identified. When the group name has been properly identified just hit the Return key and all of the group members will be filled in the To: line. This should do what you are hoping for.

  • Querying for the members of a group using the PRC

    I've been combing through the PRC API for a way to query for the members of a group (not the ACL, but the member users and groups).
    I can't find anything that seems to do this for Plumtree 5.0x using the PRC. Am I missing something or is this just not implemented? Seems like a major oversight to me. If any Plumtreevians are listening, can I add a feature request for those methods in your next release of the WS Server?
    Thanks!

  • Make members of a group local administrators

    I have a 10.5.2 server and mixed 10.4.x and 10.5.x clients. Is there a way to setup users with Workgroup Manager such that members of certain groups are seen by the clients as local administrators?

    Hi Nige-B,
    Failover Cluster Manager requires Full Control, so there is no way to delegate the read-only users. However we can have read-only privileges for PowerShell management. We can
    use the following command:
    1.
    Open the PowerShell command with administrator privilege.
    Import-module failoverclusters
    Grant-ClusterAccess domain\user1 –readonly
    NOTE: You can type "-Cluster clustername" to grant access to another cluster.
    3. Then the user domain\user1 has the read-only privilege to see the current status of the cluster, or can see the parameters.
    For more information of this cmdlet, please refer to:
    Grant-ClusterAccess

  • Copy global group members to local groups

    I have an AD environment with a lot of global groups, all named G-FG-groupname and I would like to move (or copy) the members of these groups to already existing domain local groups with a similar groupname but
    with another prefix which is L-RG-groupname.
    Example, in which Testn can be replaced by any name.
    Members of domain global group G-FG-Test1 have to be moved or copied to domain local group L-RG-Test1
    Members of domain global group G-FG-Test2 have to be moved or copied to domain local group L-RG-Test2
    Members of domain global group G-FG-Test3 have to be moved or copied to domain local group L-RG-Test3
    etc..
    Many thanks!

    Hi Hoffer,
    as Mike already said, use the Searchbase parameter. Here's an example how it could look like in the previous script:
    # Import Module
    Import-Module ActiveDirectory
    # Get old Groups
    $GroupsOld = Get-ADGroup -Filter { name -like "G-FG-*" } -Properties Members -SearchBase "OU=OU TestOU,DC=intra,DC=netzwerker,DC=de"
    # Then for each group do ...
    foreach ($GroupOld in $GroupsOld)
    # Get the name of the new group
    $NewName = "L-RG-" + $GroupOld.Name.SubString(5)
    # Add Group Members
    Add-ADGroupMember -Identity $NewName -Members $GroupOld.Members -ErrorAction 'SilentlyContinue'
    # Remove Members from old group
    Remove-ADGroupMember -Identity $GroupOld -Members $GroupOld.Members -Confirm:$false
    Basically, use the Distinguished name of an Organizational Unit as the searchbase parameter.
    If you want to know the Distinguished Name of a given OU, you can either use the AD Console, or use this command (change the name as necessary):
    Get-ADOrganizationalUnit -filter { name -eq "OU TestOU" } | Select -ExpandProperty DistinguishedName
    Cheers,
    Fred

  • Redo log members in a group

    Hi,
    I am running 10gRac on Linux
    I have 4 groups with 1 member each (50MB).
    The DB is running in noarchive mode
    I heard there is recommendation to have at least 2 members in each group.
    Now how can I check if I should add more members to the groups?
    Thanks

    Hi br00klynZ00,
    just imagine that you loose the only member of an unarchive group.
    Maybe teh CURRENT?!
    What do you do then?
    You habe lost data then if you have a crash in addition because you cannot recover your lost instance.
    So you should definitely have at least two members for each group!
    =;-)
    Hope this clarifies a little what the problem is.
    BR,
    Lutz

    Hi,
    Below note was taken from metalink;
    Symptoms
    Following errors in alert.log of standby database during startup of the standby database:
    ORA-00313: open failed for members of log group 1 of thread 1
    ORA-00312: online log 1 thread 1: '/u03/oradata/prod/redo01b.log'
    ORA-27037: unable to obtain file status
    Cause
    Online Redo logs missing on standby database.
    Solution
    You can safely ignore these messages. Online redo logs will be created automatically when you activate the standby after switchover or failover.
    If you want to fix these messages then please use following steps:
    1. Check and set "log_file_name_convert" parameter if the location of log files are different on primary and standby.
    SQL> alter system set log_file_name_convert = "'<location on primary>','<location on standby>'" scope=spfile;
    If you are using pfile then set the parameter in init file after shutting down the database:
    *.log_file_name_convert = '<location on primary>','<location on standby>'
    For 10gR2 only : Set this parameter even if the location of the redo logs are same on both primary and standby otherwise you may get ORA-19527 and ORA-312 while or after implementing the below steps.
    This is due to internal bug in 10.2.
    2. Cancel Managed Recovery process on the standby:
    SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE CANCEL;
    3. Execute the command to clear all log groups on standby for each log group (for each log group):
    SQL>alter database clear logfile group 1;
    4. Check the v$log view to confirm the size and status.
    5. Recreate standby redo logs on standby (only if standby Redo logs are also missing) using:
    (a) Drop the standby redo logfile group(s) (check v$standby_log)
    SQL> alter database drop standby logfile group 4;
    (b) Recreate the standby logfile group(s)
    SQL> alter database add standby logfile group 4 ('/u03/redo/stby01.log') size 50m;
    Hope it helps you.
