Is there a way to remove the Merge button or disable the merge functionality on the Service Request screen?

Go to the user role, that you wish to remove the function for and unckeck 'Merge Records' in the Data Management category.
This will remove the merge funtion for all records, not just the SRs.

HT4993 the add call button and the merge button isnt working.

I have had my sprint I phone 5 for about 5 days. I use my phone for business and Im not able to use the add call button or the merging button for conference calls. It almost makes me want to take it back and grab a droid. I really believe in mac I have 3 laptops but this I phone just isnt working properly. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem?

Contact Sprint and see it this is a feature that they support. To the best of my knowledge they do not support it.

Where is the "Merge Cards" button in Contacts 9.0?

Since the upgrade to Yosemite a few days ago I noticed that the "Merge Cards" button prior versions used to offer has disappeared. While a "Find Duplicates" function is available, I have had problems with it in the past in part due to sloppy card entries. However, I prefer a manual merge in general, and would like to have that feature back. Please Apple, bring back the "Merge Cards" command.

Hmm, since I posted this I find that if I am in my iCloud contacts, a Merge button appears. It is when I am looking at 'All Contacts' that this does not work—presumable since contacts may be coming in from Social media websites, as well as the address book. I suppose the fact that the button changes functions according to selection threw me off. At the very least, I would want that to be more obvious somehow.

Account Merge gives an error"Define realignment task"

Dear Gurus,
We have implemented BP CRM 2007(sup pack 2.0).
I have a problem in account merge. Initially the account merge was working but it never triggered
the batch job and so in the slave account no arciving indicator was set. Also I could never see any
batch job scheduled.
Then I applied the following notes:
Note 1229088 - Archiving flag not set after merging accounts
Note 1168481 - Account search result: Merge button active even if no auth.
Note 1233057 - Merge Accounts: missing error messages
Note 1233110 - Merge Accounts: dumpOBJECTS_OBJREF_NOT_ASSIGNED
Note 1146968 - Merge Accounts: Batch job does not transfer data
I am logging with standard SAP sales manager role & have given additional authjorization to create
task from action profile
Now its worse because I cannot even merge because I get an error message"Define a realignment task"
I hav done all settings as per Best practises & BP_Task action profile is assigned to task.
What step am I missing?

1) Install SAPKU60003 or SAPKU60004.
2) Setup Number Ranges
IMG->Cross-Aplication Components->SAP BP->Data Cleansing-> Maintaine Number Ranges
or
IMG->CRM->Master Data->BP->DQA->Maintaine Number Ranges
Create line 01-0000000001-9999999999
3) In Task (1003) add the action profile BP_TASK.
IMG->CRM->Transactions->Basic Settings->Define transaction types
4) Create job CRM_BUPA_REALIGNMENT (periodic job 5-10 min)

ps. additionaly, u can use SE16 for looking CRMM_BUPA_MERGE table.

Mail Merge in Acrobat 8

Hi
I have MS Word 2000 and Acrobat Pro 8. I have created a merge document and have the data in an Excel 2000 worksheet. The merge has been tested in Word and is fine.
In the Acrobat help it says I can create a Word mail merge, automatically name and save PDFs and have them e-mailed. It says "Choose Adobe PDF > Mail Merge to Adobe PDF" but I can't find this anywhere.
I'm sorry if this is a newbie question but any help would be appreciated.

What I am trying to get at is that the merge button in the Adobe menu may only appear if the document has been setup for mail merge. This latter is the WORD setup for mail merge, not Acrobat. Once you set the document up for mail merge in WORD, then the menu item may appear. There is no reason to have the menu item if the document is not set for mail merge. I do not know if this is the case, but it may be the issue you are seeing.
It is worth a try with a simple setup of a few items. You don't have to do a fancy mail merge to check the concept. In the instructions it said to setup a mail merge document in WORD first and then it talked about the menu item. I suspect that is what is going on, but I can not test it at home.

How do I get buttons that function and move as they did in firefox 2?

In firefox 2 the back button was separate from the forward button. This was ideal for me because I could move them around. I always had "stop" in the middle which was useful for sites that redirect you numerous times and returning to the content I was at before. I almost never use the forward button. Is there a way to pull the buttons from Firefox 2 and put them into current versions? This merged button is like button 3 after they took away buttons 1 and 2. I want 1 and 2 back. Even if it means writing separate add ons (which I'm not currently able to do on my own). Most of the current add ons which "separate" them do not let you actually move them apart. Customizing my panel myself optimizes my work speed.

How to merge cells in an ADF Table??

I have to make a ADF Table in which user should be able to select adjacent cells and when clicked on a merge button these cells should be merged..
Does any one have example on this??

My problem can be best illustrated by me by explaining how I could achieve it in Excel.
In Excel, this is how it would be done for example:
I select two horizontal cells and click on the merge button to merge them. They are now one cell, with the fill handle (small circle) on the bottom right corner. Clicking on that circle and dragging it down will merge both cells in each row into a single cell. i.e. each subsequent row will look like the row above until I stop dragging.
How can I do this in Numbers. Obviously I don't want both columns to become one wider column, but just a certain selection of rows within the two columns.

1.) I think you do not entirely understand my poing. Unfortunately, I cannot upload images of what I am trying to illustrate in words.
I am not trying to merge 2 columns and their 20 rows into one cell. What I want to do is to merge two cells horizontally.
Open Numbers and open a blank spread sheet. You have numerous columns and rows, but for simplicity, concentrate on columns A and B and rows 1-5.
The illustrations below show what it is I want to achieve. You start of with (1), two columns with 5 rows making a total of 10 cells. For what ever reasons, I need to merge the 2nd row (A2+B2) into a single cell. I select them, click on merge and that's it. [Illustration (2)] However, I also need the 2nd and 3rd row merged. In Excel. I would click on the bottom-right corner of the 2nd row which was recently merged and drag down. This would copy the merged cell onto the rows below and the result is shown in illustration (3). Now, I could just repeat the procedure that I did the first time I merged the two cells in row 2, but imagine if you need to do this for 10 or 20 rows. That's extremely time consuming and certainly there must be an easier way.

I think this is a very patronizing comment. How can you know what needs I or other Numbers users have? Perhaps it is very useless to you, in which case you should have said so, but it is not objectively useless.
P.S. I apology for the messiness of the illustrations. It's the best I can do.

I can't seem to figure this out....
I take one long continuous region, chop it up into smaller regions using the scissors tool, move some notes around etc, add crossfades, all sounds good, so then I select all these regions and hit the merge button. All the region appear to merge, creating a new continuous file / region. Excellent.
But yet if I click in the gray area of the arrange window, the new merged file disappears from view and I still see all my multiple pre-merged regions with crossfades sitting there. If I then try to select them, the new merged file suddenly appears instead.
It would seem that both the new merged region and also the old multiple smaller regions with crossfades are all still sitting there in the same place at the same time. But I wish to only have the new merged continuous region exist, I no longer want all the chopped pieces there any longer.
Last time this happened I was somehow able to just select the individual small regions from the area and delete them one at a time until they were all gone, then I had only my new merged region and I was happy. But this is surely not the correct way to deal with this. As well, this method is very laborious and tedious when working with 11 drums tracks and maybe 30 chops etc... we're talking over 300 small regions to be deleted manually Again, I cannot select them all at once because when I try, the new merged region (that I wish to keep) appears and I cannot get to the smaller regions I wish to delete.
I was thinking of going into the media bin and choosing "select unused regions" and then trying to delete, but I have other unused regions in the project that I do not want to delete yet.
Some important notes... when i've been doing this merging, I am in Logic 9, and I'm merging 11 grouped tracks at once using the "merge per track" function. Also, it appears that the first track of the group merges ok and I do NOT see the old multiple smaller regions there anymore, this track seems to merge "properly"... but the other 10 grouped tracks do not, they DO merge, but the old multiple regions are still there and causing me big headaches.
I must be overlooking something here, can't seem to figure it out, any help appreciated.

I will mention that as a work around I tried ungrouping the tracks and then just merging one track at a time using the regular "merge" process (and not "merge by track")... this seemed to work ok, I was able to merge the regions properly and do not see any traces of the old regions behind.
So there's something up with the "merge per track" function, it merges the first track of grouped tracks properly, but then on the remaining tracks, it DOES merge each one and creates new regions per track, but it DOES NOT make the old regions go away.... and once they're there, it's extremely hard to get rid of them.... and they cause a lot of trouble.
Perhaps I am either misunderstanding or misusing the "merger per track" function? Any thoughts? It would be nice to use it so that when i have say 18 grouped drum tracks I can just hit "merge per track" and then walk away and get some coffee or whatever as opposed to having to sit there and press the merge button 18 times... not the end of the world, but... would be neat to know what's going on here.

Iphoto 11: Split & Merge Missing in Events

When I go into an event, the split and merger buttons at the bottom of the screeen are no longer there. Help?

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. You're wrong. Select a photo or a group of photos and go to the Events menu and Split Event will be the 3rd opting from the top.
For merging: select two events in the Event mode and use the Events ➙ Create Event option to merge them. It creates an untitled event with the two events included. In the Photos mode you also select two events and use the Event ➙ Create Event menu option to merge them.
You should be able to just click the title of the event and rename it.
If you're in the Event mode you can just click on an Event title and change it.

While merging lines in prepare mass additions invoices lines do not appear

Hello,
I am facing an issue in merging mass additions line. I dont see any lines to merge even though many invoice line exist. I even tried query mode where i query the lines based on the invoice number but still lines do not appear for merge.
detailed steps:
Press open button on an oh hold item in the mass additions summary window.
Enter additional information and select done.
Back in the mass additions summary window, pick the first mass addition item again and press 'merge'
button.
Select the other new mass additions items that you want to merge into one asset.
-> Problem, the other new items do not appear for selection.
It was working fine till few months back but seems some patch have created this issue. Have you faced such issue?
We are on 12.0.6.
Any pointer is helpful.

I wish I had a 10.3.9 machine to check, but, since your video card should definitely be up to the task, I think it's probably going to be that Keynote's having a unique problem with your setup. In Keynote, under the Keynote menu, choose "Provide User Feedback" and send your problem to Apple. It could be that it may not have been reported yet.

Merge BQYs to a Single Dashboard

I am trying to create a dashboard on top of 2 different bqyfiles two different people made with the same tables. Is there away I can either merge the 2 bqy files so I can just put a singleintegrated dashboard in one place or is there a way I can create anew file with the dashboards in them and link it to the other twobqy files? Insufficient Security - merging 2 contacts

I am currently receiving an "Insufficient Security" error while trying to merge to contacts. I am the owner of one of them. I do not own the second contact but have inherited permissions to it through a share of the account
that contacts belongs to.
What specific permissions should I have in order to merge these 2 contacts?

You'll need Write permission on the Contact and Merge
(on the Business Management tab at the bottom under Miscellaneous Privileges). You probably have the latter since you are seeing the Merge button. Your shared permission may only have Read access.

Why won't InDesign CS6 merge my data?

We've just started doing NCR work for customers. As I had no idea how to data merge I had someone come in and show me how to do so.
My first NCR jobs are job sheets, so I fit two onto a page and need 2 pieces of data on them.
I have made the spread sheet as I was shown and saved it as a CSV. I then used the data merge to place the info where needed. However, when I click create merged document it comes up with a buffering kind of symbol and freezes. InDesign then follows by failing to respond.
It's really confused me as I've tried to redo it a few times and at one point, it did work straight away, so I'm pretty sure I've done the process correctly. Whereas I had a stupid moment and forgot to save before doing the second set of data. I'm back to square one now.
Is this an issue for anyone who merges data and is anyone aware of how I can fix this?

No, and maybe this is the problem.
Data Merge is a multi-step process. First is to create your data file (which I think you've done, if you saved that spreadsheet as .csv).
Next is to create a new 1-page file as the template. Now go to Window > Utilities > DataMerge to open the Data Merge panel. Ftom the flyout menu in the data merge panel choose Select Data Source... and find your CSV file. You should now see Row 1 and Row 2 listed in the window.
Add two text frames to the document where you want the numbers, and drag the Row 1 tag into the first and the Row 2 tag into the second.
For merge type select single record per page.
Press the merge button.
You should get a new file with 50 pages for 50 records.

ADF - Merge multiple row

I would like to know if i can update (merge) multiple line at once.
typical situation : i have a master(form)-detail(table) page, i can modify one field in the detail table for each row
i've made a "merge" button which update one row in db ( using mergeStudent(Student) databinding command
i use the binding data of selected row to do this and it work very well. ( currentRow.dataprovider )
now what the best ( and easier) solution to update ( merge ) every row of this table
i've thought that i can create a "mergeStudents(list<Students>" function in my Ejb but i don't know if there s a binding object which send the full list
