Merge Contact Persons

Hi gurus, in CRM Account Search there is an option to merge differents accounts into a single one. The resulting account contains the information of all accounts merged. I need the same procedure but with contact persons. Do you know if this functionallity is possible?

    Yes, this is possible, but not within the Contact Person Search.
    In the Contact Person Search you will get a list of Contact Person Relationships. One Business Partner can have multiple Contact Person Relationships and you will get multiple entries in the Search-Result-List but it is one single Business Partner with multiple Contact Person Relationships.
    The way you can merge Contact Person is within the Search-Result-List for Individual Accounts.
    Just search for Individual Accounts with the Role "Contact Person" and/or with the Relationship Type "Is Contact Person for".
    Now you will get a list of Individual Accounts and you can select the potential duplicates to create a cleansing case.
    The Master Record will get all Contact Person Relationships of the involved Business Partners after the Merge Process.

    I investigated a little bit more:
    The mentionned button is not in contact person search result but in account search result. But nobody stops you from searching for contact person in account search like I show in the following screenshots.

  • Account Merge - Moving Contact Persons

    Dear all,
    when merging two accounts we face the following issues:
    - The copied contact persons from the source account do not get the work address from the master account
    - The contact persons are only copied.
    Is there a way to "move" the contact persons from the source account to the master accout and assigning them the new work address?

    Hi All,
    I am also having an issue when moving contact persons on Account Merge.
    The contact person's telephone number and email address does not get copied across to the master account from the source account. however other fields such as function and department for the contact do get copied across.
    I am using CRM 2007 sp4.
    Any ideas?

  • Is it possible to auto merge contacts?

    Yesterday my Z10 restarted himself (I don't know why...) and today I see, that all my contacts are unmerged - I see for example 4 times the same person, because of Gmail, Facebook, Twitter and SIM...
    So is it possible to auto merge contacts?

    My duplications aren't happening to the SIM card as some are. Mine is actually taking contacts from my primary personal account (an Office 365) to my work account (an older Exchange). Sometimes it keeps the doubles linked, which means on a practical level it isn't a big deal, but other times they detach themselves and then I am stuck with two different listings for the same person. So it is definitely a BB bug. 
    About a week ago I wiped my device clean and upgraded to the newest (at the time) leaked OS. I don't recommend ever using a leaked OS but I decided it was worth trying. Instead of taking one day for the duplicates to reappear it took almost a week, but it is still there.

  • Can I un-merge contacts so people with the same last name have separate entries?

    Since upgrading to iOS7 on my iPhone 4, I find that a lot of contacts were merged into single entries.  The merged contacts are people with the same address and may have same last name, but they have other contact info that differs, especially different mobile phone numbers.  Is there a way to separate such contacts so I can tell whose mobile phone number is whose?  I sync my iphone contacts with the address book on my iMac (OS 10.7.5), where each person remains a separate entry.  It is useless for me to see one entry per family on my phone when I cannot tell whose phone number is whose.  Any way to fix this?

    Tap edit
    Scroll to the bottom
    Tap the red circle
    Tap the read unlink button to confirm.

    updated to ios 6 on 4s and now have duplicate and merged contacts how do I resolve?

    I have a number of clients who have this issue since the iOS6 update (as do I on my personal iPhone). These are the steps I took. The combination is that they were using iCloud / iPhone with their contacts.
    Log into www.icloud.com and see if you have any duplicatesI had no duplicates here
    Check Outlook (if you use this) to see if you have any duplicatesI had no duplicates here
    On your iPhone check to see if you have duplicatesI had duplicates here
    On my iPhone, I went to Settings, iCloud, and TURNED OFF the CONTACTS switch. Then it asked me if I want to keep my contacts on the phone... In my case, I did not as I know all of my contacts are stored in iCloud as I've confirmed that in STEP 1 & 2.
    In your iPhone, check your Contacts, it should be empty.
    Go back to Settings, iCloud, and TURN ON the CONTACTS switch. This will redownload all of your contacts from iCloud without the duplicates.
    I hope this helps as this was kind of annoying as there was no reason for my contacts to be duplicated as I did not choose to integrate using the Facebook option.

  • Contact info for different contacts is showing up in wrong contact person's fields!

    Recently switched from mobileme to iCloud. Now, not only do old (formerly deleted) contacts show up on my iphone & ipad, but a lot of the contact information seems to have randomly merged with each other. So that for my contact Ash, it shows her phone number and a different contact's address and email address!
    How did this happen and how can I fix this? Different info for different contacts is showing up in wrong contact person's fields! Random information is showing up all over the place, so that in order to fix it manually, I'd have to scroll one by one on my phone and then try to figure out if the random incorrect contact info still shows up for the contact it belongs to. I'd rather not have to do this!
    * my iPad & iPhone have iCloud, not my macbook.

    I have Verizon and I tried the *228 thing and it didn't help

    I am creating a new custom field on isa user admin app of b2b. Now when i create a contact, the FM CRM_ISA_UA_IUSER_CREATE is been called. I am planning to pass this custom value to extension table of this FM.
    Now can u tell me a badi which triggers, so that i can use the extension table values and save it to the contact person details in the database?
    I am looking for a badi to save this custom value to contact person BP .

    Thanks for the useful information that itself has partially solved my querry, along with this I am in need of one more clarification from you and that is while creating user from ISA user management how can i modify it to add a standard user alias field, like u said I have created one custom field in ISA user mangement, can u please share it so that I can enhace the ISA user mangement to have one standard field(user alias).

  • How do I merge contacts rather than replace them during sync conflicts?

    I just got my iPhone 4 a few days ago, and the Verizon sales associate transferred the contacts from my previous phone.
    Now, when attempting to sync via iTunes 10.4 (80), I'm given only three options after a sync conflict notification regarding contacts synchronizing: Sync Now, Sync Later, Review changes (or something like that): Rather than merge pre-existing Address Book contacts, it wants to override them, regardless of whatever information I already have in the Address Book, assigning the iPhone info priority (so any Address Book entries would just be overwritten).
    Why is it doing this? It doesn't strike me as well-designed at all, especially since merging contacts seems a fairly common thing these days. An apparent work-around would be manually editing the ~30 contacts in Address Book, and then deleting each off my iPhone, but surely there's a better and faster way? Please help!

    Try linking cards:
    Open any contact you want to merge, tap on Edit and look at the bottom part of it.  You'll find 'Link Cards' and from there you may select the contact you want to link with the one you're looking at. So if you have:
    Contact 1: John A (job)
    Contact 2:  Business Name (who is also John A but you saved it as a different contact)
    Contact 3: Something else that's also John A
    You can link all three cards into one.  If you choose to, you may unlink them at any time, just tap Edit and then the red circle. Your contacts won't be deleted, but they won't appear under the same ID anymore.

  • Notifications not going to the contact person

    Hello Friends,
    Scenario - When i create an RFI Customer activity in a CSR and set its status to 'Requested Customer'', a notification (more information is required) goes to the contact person and the team lead of CRO (Customer Responsible Organization). If the customer does not reply for 3 days (in case of a High Severity CSR) or 7 days (in case of severities other than High), then reminder notifications (more information required - reminder) get triggered which go to the contact person and the team leads of CRO.
    Problem - In the first case,the notification (more information is required) goes to the contact person and the team lead of CRO (Customer Responsible Organization) where as in the second  case, the reminder notifications do not go to the contact person, but they go to the team leads of CRO.
    Analysis - There are 2 workflows that get triggered when the  RFI Customer activity in a CSR and set its status to 'Requested Customer''. The first one sends the notification  (more information is required) to the contact person and team leads of CRO immediately. The other workflow checks whether the customer has replied for 3 days (in case of a High Severity CSR) or 7 days (in case of severities other than High), and then sends the notification to the contact person and team leads of the CRO. I have checked the bindings, tasks, receiver rules and the methods in both these workflows. They are exactly similar. The only difference in these workflows is the wait step added in the second workflow.
    Do you have any clue as to what is the reason behind the second workflow not sending the notifications to the contact person ?

    Question -->Is a mail being sent to the same email address in both workflows with SendMail, and only working in one of them?
    Answer --> Yes
    Question -->There must be some other difference other than the wait step.
    Answer --> The difference between the 2 workflows is mentioned step by step as below -
    Workflow for which the notifications are sent to the contact person and team lead of CRO
    Step 1 --> Condition step whether the email address exists or not.
    If No --> Sends a mail to the LDA (Local Database Administrator) to maintain the email address of the contact person
    If Yes --> Goto Step 2
    Step 2 --> Condition step whether the Severity of the CSR is High or not
    If Yes --> Send step (to send the email notifications to the contact person and team lead of CRO)
    If No --> Send step (to send the email notifications to the contact person and team lead of CRO)
    Workflow for which the notifications are not sent to the contact person and team lead of CRO
    Step 1 --> Condition step whether the email address exists or not.

    If Yes --> Goto Step 2

    Question -->How have you implemented the wait step? Does it fetch the address before or after the wait?
    Answer --> The email address is fetched at the very first step.
    Question -->What happens if you make a test workflow with just the Sendmail step and send to the same address?
    Answer --> The notification goes to the same email address.

  • Importing Contact Persons through DTW

    Hi,
    I´am trying to import Contact Persons through DTW. These "Contact Persons" belong to Business Partners that already have "Contact Persons". I want to add new contact persons to these Business Partners. The problem that instead of adding those Contact Persons, the DTW is updating  the Contact Persons that already exists.
    I have two files, Business Partners and Contact Employees. In this first one I´m using two fields (Recordkey and Cardcode). In the second one, Contact Employees, i´m leaving blank the field "linenum". I´m also setting in the third step of the DTW process, the option of "Add all items into Schema if can´t find corresponding item when updating". In the 5 step I choose Update objects"

    Apologies ... I misunderstood what you were asking.  If you look at the sample temple for Contacts that are related to Business Partners at ...
    ..\Program Files\SAP\Data Transfer Workbench\Templates\Data preparation examples\20. TestCase2_Test Data for Update function\oBusinessPartners\ContactEmployees.csv
    Here you can see that you have to relate the RecordKey of the ContactEmployee to the RecordKey for the Business Partner. If there are multiple contacts for the same Business Partner, the RecordKey is repeated as in the example and you increment the LineNum for each different Contact.

  • Relationship Between ECC Customers (Contact Persons) and CRM BP

    Hello,
    I am new to middleware and need some help with the relationship between ECC customers/contact persons and CRM business partners.
    We are transferring via bdoc this information from ECC to CRM.
    Which bdoc types are used when transferring customers/contact persons? I believe it is BUPA_MAIN but am not too sure. How is the relationship between customer its contact person transferred? Is this done through BUPA_REL? I looked at the segment fields in SBDM but am not too sure how to understand the relationship...

    Thanks! With the initial load, how do I check what fields are being passed in the bdocs?
    I tried to look for customer_main, customer_rel in SBDM  and couldn't find it. Instead I used BUPA_MAIN and found some segments but couldn't find all the data that was being transferred (e.g. customer name, address, etc...) Where do I find all the fields contained in the bdoc?
    I see them in SMW01 when I view the bdoc contents but can not find the actual structure (data fields) that are being brought in from ECC.

  • Email Campaign Execution: Contact person Relationship

    Hi All,
    I created a target group which contains a list of Contact Persons. I am testing executing an email campaign against this target group.
    This contact person also exists as a relationship to a prospect.
    The email address maintained on the contact person master data may be different from the email address maintained on the relationship. Our end goal here is to execute the email campaing against the addresses maintained on the relationsip and not on the master data. When I execute the campaing, it sends the email out to the address maintained on the contact person master data. Do you know what I can do for it to pick up the email address maintained on the relationship? Is it standard CRM functionality for it to pick up the email address from the master data rather than the relationship?
    Any comments/help on this would be greatly appreaciated.

    I'm facing a similiar question... I need to send campaign mails to contact persons (to the relationships contact mails). But i can not see any B2B flag... Can someone please tell me where can i check this field? (I'm working with CRM 7.0 (and Webclient UI))

  • Campaign execution not send emails for contact persons

    Hi All!
    I'm facing a problem with Campaigns (communication medium - E-mail): Those are the steps i'm following:
    1.Start the campaign, and on the "campaign: Schedule job" screen, i choose  "immediately". If i look at the campaign details after scheduled the job, the status is now "job started".
    2. To check wich mails were sent, I also had a look at the business partner account that belongs to the target group used. On the "Interaction History" block, there is a line: "Outgoing Email" - on the details of this outgoing email I can see the "To" (Receivers). And here, I have emails from the business Partner contact persons and from the business partner itself (the email that is on the header level of the business partner account, on the "main address and communication data" area). So far so good. That's exactly what i need but,
    3. If i go to the tcode, i only have a send request for the business partner itself and none for his contact persons (although those emails are on the "To" line for the interaction history).
    I'm working on the Webclient UI, of the CRM 7.0
    Does someone knows why the emails are not being sent also for the contact persons?

    I have achieved this by implementing the BADI : CRM_MKT_ADR_SEARCH
    In this BADI's method : CHANGE_SEARCH_RESULTS you can modify the data which is being sent back to system for campaign execution.
    NOTE: I am using Address Independent Communication Data of Business Partner
