Merging to names for same Apple account ?
I have a email address [email protected] that i used before icloud came out. This was my Apple ID. After they came out with iCloud i created a new ID [email protected], which is added in my iPhone Mail. I can login into my iTunes/Online Account/iCloud with any one of these two ID and i am taken into the same account. So it is basicall the same account with two names (i think). On my iPhone i have setup iCloud. The problem is when i send any email it shows me a list of outgoing email servers to select. My [email protected] shows up from hotmail and my Apple ID also shows up as [email protected] (for my iCloud). How do i change the one from Apple to say [email protected] so i don't get confused which mailbox i am sending mail from.

I'm not exactly sure that this is what you want, however you can change the name of your mail account from settings> mail, contacts, calendars, then select the account you want to change, then select the account name at the top of the page, the name of the account as you see it on your iPhone can be changed under the description settings.

ThanksIt is not possible to create a new iCloud account using a Windows machine. You must create the account using a Mac (10.7.5 or more) or an IOS device (iPhone etc). Once that is done you can sign into and use the account on your Windows machine.

Or remove you from his, it's moot because You and He are the same account, either get him his own (they are free) or live with this cozy but privacy compromised method. -
Me and my mom use the same apple account for our iphones but everytime she downloads an app it gets downloaded to my phone how do i stop that?
Start iTunes on your PC. If your iPhone doesn't appear under devices, connect your iPhone to the PC using the USB cable. Click on the name of your iPhone under devices. Click on the Apps tab at the top of the screen. Scroll down a bit and uncheck the box next to "Automatically sync new apps". Click the Apply button at the bottom of the screen. If the sync process doesn't automatically start, manually initiate a sync.

Can I Do This - Multiple User Accounts, Same Apple Account?
I'm wondering if I can do this - I just got a new pc for my wife and kids, each of whom have an ipod. They have been sharing a username and Apple.com account (the xxxx@yyyy id) on the old pc, each synching their ipods with no problems.
On the new PC, which is Vista64 based, they will have their own user account. Can they still use the same Apple account, and share the same songs/Itunes library or will there be problems?
If problems, any suggestions for my setup?

Hey everyone.
I have an iphone4 and an ipad2. I used to sync my phone with one computer and the ipad with another. but i used the same apple account.
Now the problem is that i lost the computer to which i was syncing the iphone. Is there a way that i can start to sync the iphone with the computer that i use for my ipad and not loose any data.

No. Syncing with a different computer/library will wipe the content from the device and replace it with content from the new library.
All of the media should be in the iTunes library already, at least what was purchased from iTunes. -
Have two 4s's registered under the same apple account. The 1st phone was set up on the computer perfect. The second phone was set up by somebody who didn't know what they were doing and set this second phone up using the same apple id but onto a laptop. How do I know get the second phone to work from the computer and sync the two phones so they are the same?

You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

Can you transfer final cut pro x to another computer with the same apple account?
I want to get Final Cut Pro X right away so I can start editing videos for my youtube channel, but I'm am also planning to get a Macbook Pro for school this year. Is it possible for me to buy & use Final Cut Pro X on my current macbook now, and then later copy and/or transfer the application to my new computer? We have several iphones, ipod touches, ipad and mac's if we all install icloud under the same apple account will they all sync together...we don't want that to happen!!
If any of you are like me, I had one single AppleID under MobileMe. Under my AppleID I had two additional Email addresses, one for my wife and one for her Mother. Each used their individual email accounts on their login on the home Mac and on their individual Iphones.
In order for them to not lose their email acounts when mobileMe goes away and/or you move your appleID acount from MobileMe to iCloud, you simply need to beaware of the folowing. Have each person with an email address under your AppleID MobileMe go to www.me.com; enter their email account and password in the corresponding fields. However, don't press the login button. Instead press the sentence under the login fields that says something to the effect of "do you want to move/migrate to iCloud. Follow the prompts from there.
In essence what Apple has done--albeit not communicated anywhere--is that they automatically created AppleIDs for each of those additonal email addresses you have/had under MobileMe. Therefore, use that email and password after moving from MobileMe to iCloud and your good to go. -
Problems signing up for an Apple account to use iTunes.
I tried to sign up for an apple account to use iTunes, and I filled out all the information until I got to the part where you have to have a credit card of paypal account.
The debit card I used works as a credit card as well (Mastercard). I entered the numbers in, and continued, it asked me what county I lived in, for tax purposes, and then brought me back to the numbers, saying my security code was not valid.
I didn't get the code wrong, I know that. But I was worried that the problem might be that the account in question was overdrawn at the time.
Could that be the problem, and why the security code was 'not valid'?

If you are having problems with the paying methods section of the iTunes account, you could try buying iTunes cards. By doing so, you will be able to make an account without having any credit card/PayPal paying methods.
1. Buy an iTunes card.
2. Go to iTunes main page and on the right of the page you will see under Quick Links an option called Redeem.
3. Type in the code on the card and hit Redeem.
4. iTunes will tell you to make an account, you will have to fill in your name, e-mail address/password, secret question, address... When you get to the Paying Method section, iTunes will have automatically added a new method, in the Credit Card box, which is "None".
You won't have to worry about credit card issues and taxes or anything.
This is not really an answer to your question, but a suggestion to your problem.

Sounds like your sharing the same apple id. settings - message - send&receive - make sure the cell number is the default for both phones.

You need to get control of your Apple ID. Change the password.

If you can't change the password because this person ahs changed the password to something that you don't know then contact the Account Security Team to get control of your account.
