Message Monitoring - Shows Number of Messages but no Messages or Data

Hello All,
We are facing an issue in Message Monitoring. When we see the Message Monitoring (Database Overview) for the Adapter Engine. It shows the number of Messages that were Successful,
but if we click the Successful  messages it shows "0 Messages Found"
This was just happening for only Messages which are older than 3 days. Are there any jobs that delete these messages?
We are running on SAP PI 7.31 Dual Installation.
Thanks,
Harsh

Hi Harsh -
it shows "Persist Until" - Next Day same time the message was sent. Does this mean, I can't see the message after the persisted time??
>>>in a way Yes. but AFAIK - you would still be able to access until the next execution of your delete job.
i.e. If your message has "persists until" value as tomorrow afternoon and your delete job is scheduled to run tomorrow evening then i think you should be able to access those messages until the job finishes..
where can I change the persistence duration? Should I change the Default Delete Job time
>>> changing the default job schedule will not be helpful.
You might have to adjust the property " xiadapter.inbound.persistDuration.default " under the XPI Adapter: XI service
( NWA -> configuration->infrastcrture-> java system properties ->services ->XPI Adapter: XI)
But in case you want to keep it for longer duration may be setup archiving..

I am trying to move Acrobat XI to a new computer. (Mavericks to Mavericks) Toward to end of the install when 'scripts' a being installed I get an 'Installation error" message. No number or reason just a message to contact the software manufacturer.

I am using a copy of a previous download of Acrobat XI, clicking the .dmg and then on the install package.
Originally, the Acrobat software was brought into the new computer by the Migration Assistant.
Does the install assistant need to be in the mix somewhere?

  • Report to show Number of sent and received messages

    Hi,
We are on PI 7.1 EHP 1.
I'm wondering if there is a way to set up a daily report that will output the number of inbound and outbound messages by message type?
I know this can be done manually in the RWB but is there a way to automate it?
    Thanks,
    Gareth

Yes, is possible using standard AbapStack function & tables.
Check in SDN Forum, this is an old 3D.

  • Get message that serial number is valid but product not found when trying to activate CS6.

    Hi,
I need help with installing CS6 to a new computer. I have owned PS since CS and have upgraded through all of the versions. Do I have to download the old versions too now? I don't remember doing that on my new desktop last year. When I try to activate with the serial number it says the number is valid but the product is not found. I have tried my previous version numbers but they are invalid. There is a drop down to choose what product I am trying to activate but CS6 is not even listed. CS6 Extended is but that is not what I have. Can anyone help me with this?

you purchased cs6, not as an upgrade.
if that's correct, you do not need any previous versions installed and you should not be prompted for any previous version's serial number.
what exact product did you purchase and what product did you download?

  • Message Monitoring Tool in RWB for Integration Engine Messages not working

    Hi all
We currently work on a Pi 7.11 system. I f we start the runtime workbench and going to the message monitoring, we want to get in to a message in the integration engine.  Normaly we should get the same sxi_monitor in the web browser, but we only get the soap envelope. The pipeline steps on the  left side and also the payload cannot be seen.
We increased the rights of the user to sap_all but this did not changed anything. We also implemented the J2EE monitoring rule.
Seems to me as we forgot a setting after installation, but which??
Thanks in advance for  your help.
    Oliver

    Hi Oliver,
I work on PI 7.0 and I know it's very different from 7.1x releases, but your problem sounds like a similar "problem" on 7.0.
Is your message sycronous? At PI 7.0 the default configuration is defined to remove the payload of sync messages. You can change it on JAVA Visual Administrator.
Try to find this parameter in Java Visual Administrator and set it to "false", below you will find the PI 7.0 path to this:
Server >> Services >> SAP XI AF Messaging >> messaging.syncMessageRemover.removeBody
    I hope it helps,

  • Inbox full message when not full, repair Inbox but all messages gone & empty Inbox keeps thinking

With an Inbox full message and couldn't download messages any more, I moved most messages to another folder under Archive but still get the same message. Reading from others' posts, I repaired Inbox but all messages there is gone and it keeps thinking forever. Tried compacting Inbox, it keeps thinking. Tried reboot and compacting (all) folders, it keeps thinking. Also deleted inbox.msf, which only one unused out of several email account's folder has, but no help. Sometimes when Inbox stops thinking, checking mail still gets Inbox full message. Wasted a whole morning already ... any idea please?

reboot your computer into safe mode with networking to stop your anti virus interfering and then compact your folders etc.

  • Problem receiving from sender, showing in SmtpReceive log but not Message Tracking

Our Exchange 2007 server (SBS2k8 really) has had problems receiving mail from a certain sender the last few weeks.  With the SMTPReceive set to verbose, I can see the mail coming in but it never shows up in the message tracking logs.
Looking at similar issues, I thought maybe the content filtering agent might have been grabbing it, so I set up a transport rule to take any mail from this particular domain and set the SCL to 0 as well as bcc a copy of it to myself.  But I just noticed
another entry in yesterday's smtpreceive log and that didn't do the trick (or forward a copy to me for that matter).
I'm including some samples from our SMTP log.  I can see that when it works, after the 354 Start mail input line, our server sends a 250 2.6.0 code confirming the message has been queued for delivery, at which point the remote server sends a QUIT and
we close it.  But when it fails, there's nothing after the 354 line.

  • What do I do to prevent my text messages from showing up on my macbook in Messages? i want to disable that function

I have a new MacBook Air and an IPhone.  When I send text messages on my iPhone they seem to show up in Messages on my macbook.  I don't want my texts to be connected to my Macbook .  What steps do I need to take to make sure my text messages only stay on my iPhone.
    thanks

Follow the instructions under the heading "How to unlink a phone number" on this page.

  • I have imported my I photo library into Aperture.  all the old i photo events are now in the aperture library showing number of photos but when clicked none display.  I can see the photos if i run the cursor over the project.  Help please.

I imported my i photo library into aperture.
I can see the i photo events in aperture library as events with the number of photos in each event.
When you click events in the aperture library no photos appear although if you roll the cursor over the event icon it show the photos.  If you click on the event either on the event icon or in the library no photos appear.
    Help

Check, if you have any filters set. The search fields in the Insector panel and the browser should be showing "All items" or "Showing All".
The Browser search field could be set for each project and album individually, so you have to check it for each project.
    Regards
    Léonie
For example: The projects count shows "20 items", but the browser is empty, because the project's filter is set to show only rejected items.

In most scenarios you shouldn't need to forward ports, however if you need to, you may be best contacting your ISP.
As with most router issues, I would recommend that you contact your ISP with details of your problem (assuming that it was your ISP that provided it to you).
There are simply too many manufacturers with different software features and settings and often different names for such features and settings, that the best advice will likely come from those that are knowledgeable about your particular router.
Make sure your router/computer allows access over the following ports

  • Resend Message that fails in adapter engine but shows success in sxmb_moni

    Hello SDN!!
We are testing sending soap requests out via SSL. We are using a BEA as a pass through server for SSL encryption only.
The scenerio is to send a message from SAP to PI 7.1 to BEA (SSL enc) to Receiving System. We successfully connect to BEA (only used as a pass-through) but the connection to Receiving System does not work. This returns an error to our adapter engine.
My question is this, Since SXMB_MONI shows the message as successful, but the adapter engine is showing an error. What is the best way for
    1. Monitor the errors, (I only see where you can monitor the type of adapter only)
    2. Resend the message, since it shows valid in SXMB_MONI, it won't let me resend.
Any help will be greatly appreciated and awarded
    Cheers
    Devlin

    1. Once the message is in successful status in moni, the best way to monitor becomes RWB -> Message Monitoring.
    2. For adapter engine related errors, you may resend the data manually using the resend option in the Message Monitoring. Otherwise, for automatic retry of messages, you may change the default settings.
