MF Toolbox won't run - Max OSX 10.7.5 Lion

I just bought a new ImageCLASS D480. I downloaded and installed the Printer, Fax and Scan software from canon.com.
I have my printer networked attached and I can print from my Mac mini.
However, When I try to run MF Toolbox from Applications/Canon MF Utilties I get a diaglog box stating that "The operation cannon be completed because the original item for MF Toolbox can't be found".
Thanks in advacne,
Mike

Hi mblue002,
If your laser device was purchased in the U.S.., the correct driver and software can be found here on the Canon USA website, as some drivers can differ in different release areas for the product and function differently.
To help determine if the driver is the cause of the difficulty, please uninstall the current driver, then download and install the drivers from the above link.

  • Photoshop CS5 Won't Run on OSX 10.9.2

'You can't open the application " Adobe Photoshop CS5.app" because it is not supported on this type of Mac.'  Is the error that I get after installing and once I try to open.  I have a Mid 2012 MacBook Pro with 8GB of ram.
    Any suggestions?

I upgraded from a previous version through the App Store.
CS5 was previously installed, but I had a hard drive failure, so for these purposes, I was installing it after I installed Mavericks.
I just installed the update, but no change.  I will reinstall and will post if I have success.

  • Will Master Collection CS4 run on OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion? [was: cs compatibility]

I am buying a new Mac and because of this I wonder, having the CS 4 Master Collection, if it's compatible with Mac OS 10.8 Mountain Lion.. or will there be any problem of any kind with the software?
If so, how can it be helped, the easiest way? I mean.. I don't really want to upgrade.

    Mac OSX 10.8.x isn’t a tested OS for CS4.
Please refer for the system requirement for Master Collection CS4:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/release-note/readme-cs4-master-collection.html#main_Min_S ys_Req
So, you can install and run the Master Collection CS4 on Mac OSX 10.8.x but we are not sure for any unexpeted problem.
Howvere, we can assist the customer to the point where it’s determined that an issue only occurs under the new OS, but not under the tested Win OSes per the CS4 system requirements.

  • Hi.Downloaded OSX Mavericks10.9.1. Won't run Apple Works 6.0, CanoScan Toolbox X, CNQL 3201.ButtonManager SUGGESTIONS

Hi.Downloaded OSX Mavericks 10.9.1.On start of install, say's won't run Apple Works 6.0, CanoScan Toolbox X, CNQL 3201.ButtonManager! Yes, I know AW6 is in dinosaur land (but I don't really want to have to convert 1000's of documents to Pages) and also don't want to ditch perfectly good Canon 9900F scanner. So, is there an update re software to keep both items running if I update from OSX10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) to the free update OSX10.9.1 (Mavericks) Suggestions Please? Ta Ian

Regarding AppleWorks - No. It will never run under Mavericks.
Pages will open most AW word processing documents.
Numbers will open most AW spreadsheets.
Keynote will open most AW presentations.
Your Canon scanner may work under Apple's Image Capture software, you'll have to test that.
    Best of luck.

What matters is the version of iPhoto you have on the different machines. Can you tell us what they are, and what exact error message you get.

  • Script won't run on machine w/MAC OSX Server 10.4.9

Why won't the following script work on a machine that is running MAC OSX Server 10.4.9. On Machines running Mac OS X 10.4.9 it works fine, but on my server machine it won't name the file as per the script--the menu dialog box pops ("save as") up asking for a file name.??
The only difference between the machines as far as I can tell is the OS.

  • Mac OSX 10.5.8 Installer won't run

I just uninstalled my old version of Adobe Flash Player (deleting caches, preferences, etc (as the instructions say)) and tried to install the most recent version that my OS runs, Flash Player 10.3.183.90. I close all my apps, empty my trash, and even restart my computer but the installer won't run. It just bounces for a minute or so on my dock then just sits there, not opening. I have to force quit it because it says "Application not responding." I also unzipped the .app file that comes in the .dmg and i tried running the Flash Player app that appeared and it also does the exact same thing.
    Safari 5.0.6
    Mac OSX 10.5.8

    1. Try creating another user account and try the installer under that accoiunt. If it works, you need to repair permissions on your account using the Disk Utility.
    2. If that doesn't resolve the installer issue for your account, try resetting the PRAM. Reboot holding the Cmd+Option+P+R keys and wait till the "startup chime" sounds three times, then release the keys.

  • Why did you quit supporting Mac OSX 10.4 ? I downloaded you update and it won't run.

I accepted your last online upgrade request and it worked for basic browsing, but the Comcast mail page stopped working correctly (the buttons: Save as Draft, Delete, Add attachment, etc. are inactive).
Thinking it was corrupted, I deleted the current version on my machine and installed the latest download and it tells me it won't run on this version of Mac OS.

Firefox 3.6.23 is still supported secure and will work with OSX 10.4

Note do NOT use any options that say delete user settings, you will loose all profile information for all normally installed versions of firefox, so that is pass words and bookmarks etc disappear.
    You mention Comcast
Note IDvault sometimes provided by Comcast has been associated with Firefox crashes (bug 684748) consider

  • Am using Macbook pro mid 2010 running on OSX 10.9.5. It does not read my old Seagate back up plus ITB ext hard disk which opens and works on snow leopard. The back ups were made on snow leopard and mountain lion. How do I make it work on Mavericks?

I have been making back ups on a Seagate Back up plus drive on a macbook pro running on Mountain lion. Sadly the mac was stolen and all I had was the seagate back up. I tried opening it on my old iMac running on snow leopard and after several visits to this forum managed to open it. The data was safe and sound. Now I have received a hand me down macbook pro which runs on osx 10.9.5. I'm assuming there is a compatability issue as the drive does not come on at all when I hook it up to the usb port. I checked the seagate drive once again on the imac and its light came on on that system. Then I suspected there may be a problem with this macbook pro usb port. But it seemed to work fine when i hooked my camera cord into it. Is it that I must reinstall mavericks. In which case how do I back up before reformatting or reinstalling. BTW I did the command+ R thingy and repaired my internal Hard disc which was showing errors. What do I do next, your help is most appreciated if you have had a similar problem.

Your 2010 MBP would be able to handle Yosemite, but I would strongly suggest that you get the current problem sorted out before trying to upgrade to Yosemite. I'd also recommend another backup that isn't created by Time Machine if you are thinking of upgrading. SuperDuper and CarbonCopyCloner can make bootable clones of hard drives. If you clone your existing system to a fresh external drive, you would be able to boot from that drive and recover quickly in the event that your Yosemite upgrade didn't work out. Time Machine backups are not 100% reliable.
It's possible that, if your internal HD is the one that shipped with your MBP in 2010, it may be failing. If it keeps needing repairs, that is probably a sign that it is approaching the end of its useful life.
Have you run Disk Utility's Repair tool on the external drive as well?
I mentioned the hub because some people have reported here that attaching their USB 3 drives through a USB 2 hub solved some disconnection problems. A good-quality powered USB 2 hub won't cost much.
My most recent brush with random disconnections involved a nice new OWC drive enclosure. I used the cable that came with the drive, but the drive kept disconnecting. Using a different cable solved the problem. You wouldn't expect that what appeared to be a high quality cable would be a problem straight out of the box, but it was.
