MFE stopped working on N8 AGAIN!!!!

For the 3rd time since I've had my N8 the MFE has stopped working. It did the same several times on my N97 too.
In the past I have simply deleted the mailbox and set it up again but I have several contact groups which disappear when I do this and so I am reluctant to do so as it takes hours to set them up again.
My problem is that MFE is simply not collecting any emails. I can send emails. There is no error.
I have double checked all settings and they have not been altered. However, MFE is not actually letting me change the settings for Mailbox, unsername, server name or domain (which are all correct anyway) but will let me change Mail, password and signature.
Any help would be much appreciated. 

Hi Dan,
The issue may lie with the deletion of the printer from HP connected and readding it.
When you re-added it, did you use the same @hpeprint.com address? Once deleted, you'll need to use a different address or wait 6 months to use the original address.

    Hello - I have 2 printers , both hooked into a network via manual ip. Today, Monday we come in and they both stopped working. No network changes were made. Tried assigning a different ip with no luck. It looks like its printing as jobs cleared the que, but no activity on printer. I then tried hooking it up directly with parallel port and printed a test page, worked fine, for a while then stopped again. Same thing with second machine in another dept. Some weird network connectivity issue? We have other printers and larger fiery copiers on the network that worked fine as usual. Any help please?

  • LUKS passphrase stopped working, then started again?

    I turned my computer off a day ago and everything was fine. My computer is full disk encrypted with the boot partition on a separate usb drive. Today, when I went to turn it on and enter the passphrase, it fails and tells me that no passphrase found. I am completely sure that I am entering the correct password because I've been using this password for months and I almost always enter it correctly the first time. I retried literally almost twenty times because I couldn't believe this was happening to me. Feeling frustrated, I turned the computer off and gave up. I decided to try one more time just for good measure, and strangely, the passphrase worked the first time. This is good news I suppose, but it worries me for obvious reasons. What is to stop this from happening again? What made it happen in the first place? I just want to know why that happened so I can find out if there's anything I can do to prevent it in the future. Needless to say, I'm backing my data up now. Thanks for reading.

    I've read numerous cases where users failed to unlock with the correct passphrase, because another configuration e.g. of the keymap or encoding changed, but this is not your case I know. I write this on a laptop (TP) where the bios _sometimes_ fails to recognize the trackstick (not a hw problem). Maybe your bios has an issue like such with the keyboard.
    To prepare: what you should do too is to use "cryptsetup luksHeaderBackup" to be prepared in case a disk sector in the header dies.

  • Fingerprint reader / HP Simplepass Stopped Working...Again! How to fix it...again!??

    Okay, so I'm running Windows 7 64-bit and I've been using a fingerprint reader to login to Windows since I've owned the notebook, back in 2012.  It's always worked fine.  Until a few months ago, when after I installed something, it stopped working.  I went through a bunch of steps and methods, and eventually it worked again.  Now, I had to uninstall/reinstall Norton Antivirus this afternoon, and after that, the fingerprint reader has stopped working again.  I tried a bunch of steps, but it just won't work.  I've downloaded/updated the drivers for the reader, everything. 
    I go into Simplepass, and it asks me "have you found your fingerprint sensor?"  I click yes.  Then it asks "are you ready to enroll?" again, I click yes.  It tells me to select a finger, which I select my right hand pointer finger.  Then it asks for my Windows password, which I enter.  Then it comes up and says "it looks like you're having some trouble. Would you like to try again?" and I click yes.  Again, it asks which finger, I select it, it asks for the password, I enter it, and then it says "it looks like you're having some trouble, etc".
    Can someone walk me through how to fix this again?  I'll uninstall and reinstall what i have to, but everything says the "biometric device" is working, the drivers say I already have the up-to-date drivers...what else can I do?  ask me anything...

    Just so you know, if you work for Norton, it ALL seems to tie into Norton.  This is how it broke down just the other day:
    Computer wasn't even turning on, loading Windows, etc.  So I had to do a system restore, which is what I did.  This allowed me to get into Windows, AND the fingerprint reader/fingerprint login was working again.  Then Norton was popping up and saying there was an error of some kind (didn't write it down), and that I could use their "uninstall & reinstall" program to fix the issue.  I did that, it reinstalled Norton, and then I had to restart the computer.  And now the fingerprint reader doesn't work again.
    Additionally, it's now asking me for 15+ Windows updates, but I'm scared to install anything else. 
    Maybe if I uninstall Norton MANUALLY, then download & reinstall it, then the fingerprint reader would continue to work?  Because right now, the only way to get it to work again seems to be to do a system restore...but then I run into the error with Norton when I do that...

    I looked in the folder from which I want to synch photos, but there is no such thing as an "ipod photo cache" in that folder, or sub-folders, as suggested in the link which you were nice enough to provide.
    I have also tried removing photos from my iPad2 Photos App, and "iTunes has stopped working" shows up  again as soon as I click on the "Synch photos from" button.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro - Error Message : "Adobe Acrobat Has Stopped Working"

    I use Windows 7 - 64bit / CS6 Master Collection that has Adobe Acrobat x Pro.
    When the computer is on for a little while, Acrobat would generate the error message that it has stopped working and then shuts down. Once that error message occurs, I cannot get Acrobat to stay open. It opens the PDF document, stays open for a few seconds then the error message occurs and it shuts down.
    What helps for a short term is to restart the computer. This seems to temporarily remove the error until the computer is on for a while then the error returns.
    This problem repeats. Product repair feature does not work. This has nothing to do with the license, I tried that fix and it made no differnce. I do not have this issue with other Adobe products included in the master collection.
    It seems fruitless and frustrating to send a message to Adobe Support, the run around with pages and links is like smacking walls on every turn, it is obvious Adobe does not want people contacting their support. Service from Adobe for their products is poor.
    I hope that someone here has the answer to the problem. Anyone?

    Ok, here is the update.
    The link: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html , leads to a webpage that says to download a fix ZIP file named: "Acrofix.ZIP". It contains the file "acrofix.exe".
    I did use this "exe" file about 2 months ago and it did nothing to fix the issue. I used it again today, because the same issue of "Adobe Acorbat has stopped working", occurred again and again it did not work, the problem of "Adobe Acrobat stopped working" presists. Again the only work around, which is temporary, is to reboot the computer.
    So far these do not work:
    Relicensing or Registering the Licence
    Acrofix.exe
    Anyone else have an answer? - or am I the only one suffering this really annoying issue?

  • Why has my "similar" mouseover feature in GOOGLE image search stopped working?

    When I clear cache and cookies it will work properly for awhile in Foxfire 4, but after resetting my GOOGLE preferences, it stops working properly once again. The earlier version of Foxfire did not have this problem. Also, the "similar" feature continues to work fine in Explorer.

    Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

    If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • PSE12 Crashes with "Program has stopped working"

    I am having the the same problem as is stated here http://forums.adobe.com/message/6040575#6040575. I can not try this solution because PSE12 does not stay up long enough for me to look for any IMPORTED TAGS in my catalog.
    I tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it but when I opened PSE12 after the reinstall it still knew were my catalog was and opened it and then crashed again. Why does the uninstall leave the catalog in place? I would have thought it would remove it along with every thing else. Now I have to uninstall it again and go through my folders and find anything that has PSE12 in the name and delete it by hand.
    This is getting very frustrating as I have not had more then 7 days of a functioning program before it starts to crash on me.
    I love PSE and have not had any problems with preveous releases until this one.
    Running on Windows 7 Home Premium SP1

    UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled PSE12 (twice seeing as the uninstall does not get rid of everything it should) and as I was converting and checking all my catalogs for "Imported Tags" I got the "Program has stopped working" error message again. I give up. I want to get my sons money back for this program as he gave it to me as a Christms Present.
    I really wonder if anyone from Adobe ever looks at any thng here on these forums. So far I have not seen any evidence to suggest that they do. So far Adobe support sucks.

    Remove the extensions, redownload Safari, reload the extensions.

  • My microphone has stopped working on my ipad 2 16GB 3G.  How do I get it to start working again?

    I am not sure when it happened but my microphone has stopped working on my ipad 2.  I downloaded an application from the App Store called Starmaker for my daughter.  When she tried to follow the start up instructions, she could not make a demo recording as there is no sound.
    My daughter and I have used the recording/sound facility before as, when away from, I have used Skype and my daughter has used the talking animal apps.
    I have tried a hard reset and tried to clear the microphone by blowing on it and using the hoover attachment to clear it but unfortunately there has been no difference. 
    I would be grateful for any advice you have to clear this problem, so I can have the full use of my ipad again.

    If you have a passcode on the device and you don't know it, then thats another issue. For that, the ipad will need to be restored. This may or may not also resolve your mic issue.
    You didn't say wether or not the mic fails with just this one app, or with facetime and skype as well.

This started a few days ago after trying to stream a movie on my computer. I'm on a Mac Air OS X Version 10.6.8 and have downloaded all updates. When I go into finder, it says I have over 80 gigs available. Is there some other memory cache that I need to check? Thanks so much for your help.

    If your machine has connectivity issues there, it may be a hardware problem with your machine.
    There have been numerous people in multiple threads over the years who swore that an update was buggy because things used to work, but returned later to sheepishly admit that they took their machine in, a problem was found and fixed, and now their Mac works flawlessly with the newer software.
    But simply reinstalling 10.5.5 in no way means the explanation of how firmware bugs may be at play here is incorrect.
    In the context of that explanation, all you've done is possibly reinstall software that asks to add "2 + 3."

    if the device I connected have caused this, shouldn't the macbook itself have some type of protection that should prevent this from happening.
    because when I took it to an apple certified maintenance shop, the guy said that now it could only run while connected to the power. it won't run on batteries. and that I have to change the motherboard.
    can I just replace the damaged part only, would apple consider this as a design issue and they could pay for it, or should I just buy a new motherboard for 800$.

    The problem is in finding a tech shop that will/can do board level repairs on Macs. They are few. And I certainly wouldn't spend $800 on a new logic board - I would replace the computer if I had to pay that much!
    You could call around to a few repair shops and see if they feel competent to isolate the problem and do a board level repair - but I'm afraid, in the end, that your search will be futile.

    Over the past few months firefox has been crashing unexpectedly but just today it crashed and will not reopen even after shutting down and restarting my laptop.     You don't have "Photoshop" proper.  You have a cheapo emasculated version called Photoshop Elements.  That is NOT Photoshop.
