I am using BizTalk 2013 and looking for Microsoft BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems but cannot find it on Installation disk.
Do any one has idea how to go ahead with this .

As far as what we can experience, there is not standalone download for
BizTalk 2013 Adapters for Host Systems 2013. Its part of the
Host Integration Server 2013 installtion.

Host Integration Server 2013, we will get the information like the following. In my server I already have
BizTalk Adapters for Host Systems 2.0 (as per the requirement),
hence this installation wizard tries to upgrade it to make it compactable with 2013.
When you proceed with the installation, this will install/upgrade the BizTalk adapter to 2013.

We discussed the topic about upgrading to BizTalk Server 2013 R2 before. You need to run the setup for BizTalk 2013 R2 installation and you will be prompted for upgrade as setup itself detects the lower version i.e., 2013.

Should I have installed Microsoft Office 2010 Filter Pack 64 bit with Ex 2013 SP1?

I have installed Exchange 2013 SP1 on a 2012R2 server, and all went well (I am at early stages of migration).
Following the pre-reqs listed here: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb691354%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx#WS2012
I installed Microsoft Unified Communications Managed API 4.0, Core Runtime 64-bit only.
Since then I have seen other articles suggesting that I install:
Microsoft Office 2010 Filter Pack 64 bit
Microsoft Office 2010 Filter Pack SP1 64 bit
Given I didn't notice any errors in the install, do I need to install those filter packs or is that outdated advice?

HEY APPLE! What are upgrade policy plans for new systems shipping with 10.4

I just ordered a brand new Xserver, thinking that there would be some policy in place for brand new computers shipping with 10.4, to get the new version of OSX Leopard Server (without having to buy a retail copy) - however to my surprise, there is nothing currently in place.
Will there be an upgrade policy soon for users who have just ordered new computers, currently shipping with 10.4??? Or should we return recently ordered items, and stop ordering new systems until they start shipping with 10.5?

Assumptions such as this one are often a recipe for disappointment and/or for extra expenses; I've certainly learned to be cautious with these.
In this case, there is a policy that has been in place (AFAIK) since the Leopard announcement.

Those folks outside the Leopard upgrade window that are upgrading to Leopard (and that don't have a separately-purchased Right-to-Upgrade) will be purchasing and ordering the upgrade. How to use OneDrive for Business mobile app with SharePoint 2013 on-premise?

Hi All,
I have a SharePoint 2013 (with latest December updates) that host a dedicated personal web site for users.
The OneDrive portal works fine and users are able to sync their files with the OneDrive client for Windows.
Now I want to test the OneDrive for Business mobile app on Android, but there is no option to specify the "personal" portal URL.
It asks only for domain credentials.
Does I need to configure specific records on my public DNS to allow mobile users to sync their files?

I can confirm that with iOS you can connect to your SharePoint server through the advanced options.
But the very strange thing is that the OneDrive version for Windows Phone 8.1 is limited as the Android version.
This has no sense.
Why does Microsoft should limit the Business functions on its mobile operating system, and not on iOS?
Another strange thing is that configuring my Exchange account, Windows Phone 8.1 informed me that it has connected OneDrive for business (but is a fake information).
See attached image.
If I open the built-in OneDrive app, it give me the option to add a OneDrive for business account, but is only for Office 365 users (like with the Android version).
I thing that Microsoft should let at least to Windows Phone users to connect to on-premise SharePoint sites.

How to setup Autodiscovery for .local internal domains with Exchange 2013

I need to know about how i set autodiscovery in local domain.I have local domain eg
abc.local and domin which i received the emails externally is xyz.com.
I have deployed Exchange2013 recently with same above scenario inbound and outbound mails are working fine using OWA.But outlook clients cannot connect to Exchange server with in the LAN.
Please help me out how set auto discovery in local domain and another help i need how i configure the self sign certificate in this scenario.

You cannot use a self signed cert for RPC/HTTP connections (which is how the Outlook client is connecting exchange2013). You dont need to configure autodiscover for internal domain added clients. If you have clients on the network which are not members of the domain, using Exchange, this could be Windows, MACs or mobile devices, then you should ensure that autodiscover.example.com
resolves internally to the Exchange server via a split DNS system. http://exchange.sembee.mobi/network/split-dns.asp
Please configure your external and internal URLs as well

I recommend to buy a 3rd party certificate as it may create issue for external clients e.g.Outlook anywhere

What will be physical architecture for SSAS Tabular model with Sharepoint 2013?

I would like to build SharePoint 2013 based reporting portal with Power View as visualization tool.
I have 300-800 million rows and customer puts priorities in high performance.
Data source is SQL Server database and Flat Files.
What will be recommended physical archicture? Is following good?
-SQL Server database server
-SSAS Tabular application server
-SharePoint 2013 Front-End (multiple if needed)

According to your description, you want to if it's OK to SQL Server database server, SSAS tabular application server and SharePoint 2013 Front-End on different server, right?
As I said in another thread, even though we can install all of them on same physical server, however in the production environment, the recommendation is that install them on different server, it will beneficial to troubleshooting the issue when some
issue occur on the environment. So in your scenario, it Ok to install all the application on different server. Here are some links about requirement to install the application.

Best cooling pad for Macbook pro 15" with retina (2013)?

Hi,
I have a Macbook pro 15" with retina display, bought in 2013 and I started playing Starcraft on the machine. It becomes extremely hot, almost unbearable to touch and after searching online, I've been told that overheating of macs is relatively common. It is also extremely noisy. Firstly, is this something that I should be worried about, i.e. is it normal? (it is still under warranty) Also, I was looking to get a cooling pad- which one would you recommend? I couldn't find many macbook pro w/ retina display specific ones, so I thought maybe a generic laptop cooling pad?
There are so many to choose from and I don't know where to start! Perhaps the Cooler Master NotePal X3?

Is the game rated for the GPU on the Mac (look at the game's specs)? If not, then I would not run it on that Mac.
If it is rated for the GPU on the Mac, then no, it is not normal, and I would have the machine looked at, after running the hardware test that came with it.

The GPU is the Graphics Processor Unit.
A cooling pad might help, but it might also mask a more serious problem. I've used this cooler on Powerbooks before:

But only outside warranty. Mind you, because of the heat, sometimes some of the darker markings on the edge of the cooler and come off on the bottom of the notebook. Hence why I would only use it outside of warranty, since such marks may make the AppleCare representative think you might have done something to damage it.

Prior to going to Win7, I was developing on a Win-XP machine. I used to delete the generated code and have VS generate it again, but no luck. I get errors in the Build, similar to what shows in the Message Assignment shape in the orc. It's complaining about
a missing part of a Multi-part message. Oh, and the Multi-part message is a schema created in VS2005/BizTalk2006 R2, which was created on a separate Win-XP machine.
Just wondering if anyone has come up with a fix to this? The previously documented entry did not seem to have a solution.

Do you see your_orchestration.odx.cs ?
If you do Can you try as following:
1. Take backup of whole solution
2. Delete all .cs files associated with biztalk artifacts, like odx.cs, xsd.cs, btm.cs
3. Open orchestration and in any one of the expression shape copy all statements.
4. Click OK to close the Expression window.
5. Build the solution. (you should get errors)
6. Goto expression and paste code.
7. Build
This has worked for me in past. May be it will work for you too.

SQL server 2012 with SP2 for hosting VMM 2012 R2 DB server

Hi,
I would like to implement System Center 2012 R2 Operation Manager, VMM and Configuration Manager.
I have proposed to my customer two MSSQL Server 2012 Box, one for SCOM/VMM DB server and another one for SCCM (SCCM DB and SCVMM DB cannot be on the same computer).
But I read on Microsoft web site that only SQL Server 2012 SP1 are supported for VMM DB server and SQL Server 2012 SP2 is supported for SCOM DB server.
So my question is: Can I deploy one box SQL server 2012 with SP2 for hosting VMM 2012 R2 DB server ? if not, When SQL Server 2012 SP2 will be supported for VMM 2012 R2 DB server ?

Hi,
As per the link this seems to me a known issue. I cannot 100 % say because I have seen/faced this issue with
SP1 and you mentioned SP2. I would always suggest to install RTM only there is option to un select SP2 during installing.

My Windows 7 crashed a couple days ago after a windows update, I got this message.
Windows cannot find the local profile and is logging you on with a temporary profile. Changes you make to this profile will be lost when you log off.
I restarted the machine and got this message
Windows was unable to load the registry. This problem is often caused by insufficient memory or insufficient security rights.
DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. for C:\Users\TEMP\ntuser.dat
I checked the event Log I found these .
Windows cannot load the user's profile but has logged you on with the default profile for the system.
DETAIL - Only part of a ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed.
Windows has backed up this user profile. Windows will automatically try to use the backup profile the next time this user logs on.
Windows cannot load the locally stored profile. Possible causes of this error include insufficient security rights or a corrupt local profile.
DETAIL - The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
This is the first error in the event viewer after a successful logon
The description for Event ID 34 from source ccSvcHst cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.
If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

hi do the following
1. In Search programs and files (Windows 7) area, type in regedit, and press Enter.
2. If prompted click yes,
3. expand the following HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList
4. click the sid that related to your admin profile (if you not sure, click each sid and in turn look to the right hand side of registry editor it will show who that sid is related to one of the registry files should hae in description localhost\admin or
something similair)
5. right click the sid and press delete.
6. restart your machine and log back on with the admin account, this will then rebuild the admin profile... dont worry when it loads and none of your personal settings are saved or files or folders... go to c:\users
in here you will see two folders for the admin account, one will be just admin and the other most likely admin.localhost
i cant remember which one is which but just check both, one will still have all your files and folders in it.
i suggest making a backup of your data before doing this incase something does go wrong, but ive had this happen many times in a domain enviorment and has worked for me everytime.
