Mini DVI to DVI connector not right for my PC disply with 15pin input.

Hi Guys
I'm trying to attach my macbook to a PC monitor that has a 15 pin connector and I can't find the right cable. I just bought myself a mini DVI to DVI connector but realised that its not the right one !! Anyone know what I should be ordering ?

Many thanks for a reply. It's good to get some feedback at least. I must admit I won't be too concerned if it's not compatible as I've since migrated to more useful tablet devices. This thing was always a bit of a mistake, especially with the annoyingly useless android bolt on. But as I use it for the occasional larger screen benefit and printer link, it would be good to have the benefit of latest MS. It still raises the question of why Acer at least can't provide a definitive list. After all there must be many other idiots like me that bought one? Thanks again

Service item not relevant for pricing if used with higher level item catego

Hi,
We have a service item e.g S900 with Item category ZTAD.
This line Item automatically creates a Service Order.
Requirement is , if this service item is used with an Equipement Item,
Item 10 --> Equipment
Item 20 --> Service
--> There would be price required for the Equipment ( Condition type ZPRO - Mandatory )
--> System should not ask for the price of Service Item, as it would be inclusive in the Equipmetn charges.
--> In short if the Service item is used as Sub item with Equipment, it is not relevan for pricing.
I tried copying ZTAD and creating a new item cateogry which is not relevant for pricing...would that be the correct approach, but facing several issues related to Automatic Service order generation.
what could be possible ways to achieve above.

System will ask the price for item category TAD bcoz service also chargble,in your case insted of TAD use TANN as free,
You can define based on your higher level item category for Ex : OR + Normusage(Blank)Higherlevl item (Blank)= TAN
you can config like this ORNormUsge(Blank) + TAN = TANN
like this you can do it this correct way or els you can manually enter the item catagory (TANN) at sale order line item level.

Requested extension com.adobe.Vibration is not supported for Windows-x86 Problem with Cs6,air3.4.

While compiling my application on Flash CS6 with Air for iOS 3.4, I am getting the error given below:
The content cannot be loaded because there was a problem loading an extension: Error: Requested extension com.adobe.Vibration is not supported for Windows-x86.
I am using vibration.ane file which got it from Adobe (http://www.adobe.com/devnet/air/native-extensions-for-air/extensions/vibration.html)
Anybody out there who knows how to solve this problem!

1) The vibration ANE from Adobe does not support Windows.
2) The iOS simulator (adl) is not a virtual machine but rather it is a native Windows app, thus the platform your app runs on is Windows not iOS.
What Adobe needs to do to avoid confusing everyone is one of two things:
1) Include a stub for Windows (and MacOS) in the Vibration ANE.
2) Make it possible to deploy an app to a platform where the ANE is not supported, but produce a runtime error upon an attempt to use the ANE. The developer could then put logic in the app to detect the underlying platform and make adjustments.

Database Variant to Data.vi not working for the Date datatype with LV 8.2?

I'm moving a large body of LV database code from LV 7.1 to 8.2 and find that the Database Variant to Data.vi is not working correctly when used with the Date datatype. It works fine with 8.0, and the common Variant to Data works also. Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any assistance. Wes

The data is stored in an Oracle database using the DATE type. I'm querying many rows along with other columns and converting each of the values as necessary for each column with the 'Database Variant to Data' vi. Only conversion to Timestamp is no longer working as of version 8.2. I recognize that plain Variant to Data works but I have many (100's) of VIs to change if that is the only solution (not the end of the world). Most often the dates are originally generated in the database using PL/SQL procedures calling SYSDATE which look like: 5/1/2006 11:56:26 AM (in TOAD anyway) which I then need to read into LV as type Timestamp.

Zip download not working for IE, but works with mozila and crome browsers

The requirement is: we need to download a zip file, and the zip file may contain more than one csv file.
The application is deployed in Linux server and WebLogic 10.3.2. In internet explorer the zip files downloads as a corrupt file which cannot be unzipped. Although in mozilla firefox or chrome I can download the zip file, can unzip and can see the contained csv file as well. Could you please let me know what is wrong in the above code or what modification is needed to make this code workable in Internet Explorer as well?

Well if it works from one browser it would seem likely that the code you are using to create the file is OK. So I would concentrate on what is different between the browsers, so that will be Mime type management and security.
Your mime type def seems to be OK but it may be the mapping that IE is using that is broken
IE will take the mime type mapping from the registry so it may be worth trying IE from another machine just in case there is something screwy there. Also if you're on Windows 7 make sure that the Zip has not been "blocked" - save it to disk on the client, select the file and choose properties from the context menu - see if it says blocked in the Attributes section.

EDID file for SONY KDL40-XBR2 with HDMI input (for W510)

Hello community,
Please does anybody has a configured EDID monitor file for a SONY KDL40-XBR2 LCD TV? I'm using the HDMI input with a DisplayPort - HDMI cable and the image is awful. The monitor driver in Windows 7 is "Generic PnP Monitor" and it's pretty old. The problem is the text: fonts are pretty ugly...
I would like to over ride the settings using the NVidia control panel but don't have a valid EDID file configured for HDMI input.
I use right now the VGA port on my SONY KDL40-XBR2 and the image quality is better and the fonts are fine.
Can someone please provide a hint here?

Of course, SONY is not providing generic INF monitor files for their line of LCDTV's... no wonder they are going down!

Fields are bold for some users, not bold for others.

I have a report in Crystal reports XI using BusinessObjects. One of my users is complaining that one of the fields is bold. But it's not set to bold in the report, and when I run the same report, called the same way, with the same data, the field is not bold. We had a note about printer drivers, and he ran through our help on that, but it didn't change anything.
The field is actually a subreport, but I looked at that, and it is a straight database field (SQL Server 2000, memo type), not a formula, and it is not set to bold anywhere in Crystal, at least not that I can see. And besides, it doesn't print bold for me. He saved to a pdf and sent it to me, and it is bold. I saved the same data report to a pdf and it is not bold.
Does anyone have any ideas for a direction I should look? I think I recall seeing this field bold at some time on my machine, which makes me think it has something to do with a difference in Windows between our two machines. But that's pretty vague.
Here is some additional information. It's not always the same field. Sometimes two fields in a report are bold. It happens for users with both IE6 and IE7, although it's also not happening for some of us with IE6. We can set our IE6 settings to the same, and it happens for one and not for another.

I'll ask about and check the Acrobat -- but we're using the ActiveX viewer -- so how does that matter? We've tried changing default printers before running the report, but it doesn't seem to make any difference. But... when I open the report to edit it, it does complain about me not having the printer that the report sees as a default, so it still may be related to printer drivers. I think that's a good direction to keep investigating.
I don't think the customer would like the entire report in bold, but that is an innovative solution!
I saw a post from about 6 months ago where it seemed like someone had the same problem, but there was no reply or solution. If I do figure it out (or if your help leads me in the right direction), I'll post the solution.

Sharepoint Lotus Notes Connector Not Starting

We are trying to install the Lotus Notes Connector on our SharePoint 2013 Farm. We are currently running a multi-tier farm.
We are running on Windows server 2012, SharePoint 2013 and Lotus Notes 8.0.2. As we provision the Lotus Notes connector with our Crawl account (which has local administration on all of the servers) it seems to create the application pool but then the service
goes from a “starting” to a “stopped” state within a minute.

Office 2003 Sevice Pack 3 Showing As Not Applicable For Clients Needing It.

have some office 2003 (Hebrew) client not installing SP3.
WSUS server shows "not applicable" for these clients.
update with "Microsoft Update" from internet shows SP3 as valid update.
WSUS server is configured to automaticly approve revisons.

couldn't find any documentation about pre-requisites for sp3
install manually works so there doesn't seem to be something missing.
i did find info which may be connected to my problem

KB907380 is seven years old - "office update" is decommissioned.
install manually?? (do you mean download the fullfile.exe ?)(if so, sure, it includes the pre-reqs, WSUS does not)
after SP3 is applied, does WSUS now detect other updates?
(you know Office2003 is now unsupported by MS, right? :)

Some performance counter objects are not available for a 32-bit process on 64-bit versions of Windows Server 2012 standard

When we try to gather performance counter information for a 32-bit process on a 64-bit computer that is running Microsoft Windows Server 2012, all our performance counter objects are not available with 32 bit perfmon application (C:\Windows\SysWOW64\perfmon.exe)
I didn't notified any errors while registering our counter objects or while running Perfmon.exe
Note: Same counter objects are available and working fine with Windows Server 2008 R2.
for diagnostic our counters on WIN2012, ran command as follows:
cd c:\windows\sysWOW64
lodctr /Q
I am able to see all our counter objects on response and infact all were shown as enabled, as shown below
Appreciate quiclk response with solution or clues to diagnose it more details.

same our system counter objects (ver x), we able to browse from Perfmon 32 bit app on Windows 7, Windows 2008 R2 (64bit) OS but not on Windows 2012.
I am able to see all counter objects registered as follows (same at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\HMI Alarm Class\Performance,
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\HMI Alarm Class\Performance
and
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\HMI Alarm Class\Performance)
Only difference I observed that "Disable Performance Counters" were set to 4 in Windows 2012 OS unlike other windows 7 64bit OS and there is no differnece for remaining all entires.
I tried setting that "Disable Performance Counters" value to "0", but some how they get reset to "4", no luck..
I think "Disable Performance Counters" value either "0", or "4", should not matter for browsing our counters with 32bit bit perfmon applicaiton.
Do you see any issues of registry entries. ?
On what basis perfomance monitor list few enabled counters?
How can we add our counters manually to perfomance monitor?
