Misc. charge in debit memo

How to add Debit Memo to original invoice for Misc. charge like freight, pallet, small parts (not Inventory items setup), labor?
If they want to do analysis for those Misc. charge for different type (freight, pallet, small parts...) what we can do in B1? Do not want to setup in Inventory Master Data.  But, want to do GP analysis for whole invoice with not inventory items as well.

  • Pricing Procedure (Debit Memo)

I have a pricing procedure at oder level let suppose ABC, I made delivery and billing all is well till that.
Than if delivered quantiy is less than the target quantity client will suppose to create a debit memo sort of penality to the customer, reference to that invoice quantity confirmation source is POD.
My debit memo pricing procedure is different from ABC, mean a PROO and MWST is appear on that not other charges or condition type.
I have assign the procedure at debit memo sales document type but what happen when in VA01 give the reference of invoice and copy the item the whole same (ABC) pricing is came up on the order (Debit Memo Request) which is not required I want the actual procedure will call.
If after this i directly go to the billing document after approval of this document my actual pricing procedure is there, but a different condition type is present in the 2nd pricing procedure that will not come, so I manually press the "Carry out new pricing" so that condition type than will appear..
Hope my gurus understand the problem. I want that actual pricing procedure is available at order if not that all the condition type will appear at the time of billing. I cant set the carry out new pricing setting in the copying control because if i done this the whole condition type of order will aappear at billing as well.
if have any query please feel free to ask.
    Regards,

    Dear W,
I have a pricing procedure ABC having following condition types
    1. PR00
    2. ZSED
    3. ZWEH
    4. MWST
sales to order above procedure work and i got the accounting documents and invoice.
My 2nd pricing procedure is XYZ for Debit Memo and assign on document type, have th efollowing steps.
    1. PR00
    2. MWST
    3. ZHE1
    4. ZHE2
when i create debit memo with reference to invoice at debit memo (Sales document type) the pricing procedure ABC is come automatically, and when I go to billing the actual pricing procedure is come, plus i have to press maullay carry out new pricing button, other wise the common condition type is came at billing, if in copying control if i by default maintain the carry ou tnew price system duplicate the condition types.
Hope you will now understand my issue and give any value added feedback for the resolution of hte issue.

  • How can I delete a condition type or the price in the debit memo

    Hi Friends,
    please help me
I have a query regarding raising a debit memo in SAP 4.7 (transaction VA01)
I have to charge a company Euro 2112.70 and I don't want to add any VAT on it. The customer is a one-off third party customer code and the material is Sundry Sales. After I enter the price condition ZP00 for Euro 2112.70 the system adds 17.5% VAT on top of this. How could I delete the VAT element or change it to zero?
    Raj

So you need to charge a customer without VAT tax.
As there are many ways to do that, including the so no recommended procedure of deleting the tax condition, you firsy have to analyse why the company want to do that.
If its specifically to that customer, you can manage that via TAX determination for that customer. (From customer master).
As I'm not good at TAX conditions, I recomend you to check that on SAP help.
One I was required to do something like that. In last instance you can add in your pricing procedure one new condition in a sequence "bellow" of your MWST condition.
I hope i could help you...
    Best regards,

  • Invoice Reduction (Debit Memo) Scenario

Here is the processing I'm trying to get to work in SAP. Vendor send us an invoice, we post the invoice in MIRO and the invoice is blocked for payment (the Invoice price > PO Price). Now that the invoice is in blocked status, it is routed to the department that deals w/ discrepancies. They determine that it is a Vendor pricing error, so they send a Debit Memo to the Vendor stating we are posting a credit in the amount they over charged us.
It looks like the Invoice Reduction functionality in MIRO has what we are looking for (printing out the complaint and posting the credit to the account) except we don't know if the Vendor is at fault at the time of Invoice Entry. Is there a way to run Invoice Reduction or post a Debit Memo after the invoice is posted? Also, we have a few Golden Vendors where we won't send a Debit memo and will wait for them to send us a Credit memo before posting to the Vendor account, so the solution will need to take this into account.
As usual, any guidance you can provide will be appreciated.

I agree, you can use the Credit Memo functionality in SAP, but I don't think you can print out a form once the credit memo form to send to the Vendor that states you are taking the debit.  It would also be useful if this process was automated.  The invoice is blocked, you determine that the Vendor is at fault, the Credit Memo is automatically posted and a Debit Memo is printed out.  Anyone aware of any bolt on software that might help?

  • To clear unpaid debit memos or posted into separate GL A/C

    Hello Guruu2019s,
I have an issue of unpaid or pending debits memos of few customers from past 2 years didnu2019t recover (no hope to recover it from the customer, ex:  due to bankrupt ---etc,. )   and the company wants to remove the amounts from the pending debit amounts list.  Will anyone suggest me is SAP providing any provision to remove such  pending debit memo amounts (clear it) ?
                                                        or
Is there any possibility to post that pending 2years old debit memo amounts ( no hopes to recover from the customers) in to a separate GL A/C. If it is there will anyone guide me the configuration settings?.
Do we have the facility in SAP functionality?  Resolve the above issue..  Will anyone suggest / guide me the alternate solution for this.  This will be of great help.

    Hi,
SAP does provide a functionality for doubtful receivables.  See T Codes OB04 and OBXD.  You may read the IMG Activity Documentation for the following node and the sub-nodes under it.
SPRO -> SAP Reference IMG -> Financial Accounting -> AR and AP -> Business Transactions -> Closing -> Valuate -> Reserve for Bad Debt
Looks like in your case, more than creating a reserve, the requirement is to write them off.  Why don't you just create an expense GL account and clear your sticky customer open items by posting to that account?  Alternatively, if you cannot take the entire expense in one term, post them to an intermediary asset account and charge it off to P&L over a desired period of time.

  • Debit memo Req

    Hi SAPPERS
In what situation do we use a debit memo request and a debit memo. Can some one explain me the process.
    Regards

    Hi,
There are a lot of scenarios we create debit memo request and debit memo against a customer. I am giving a couple of scenarios:
In repair processing the material has come back to our permises, we repaired the same and send it back to the customer. The charge for repair and the parts consumed has to be billed to the customer. We normally use resource related billing in such cases, through RRB we generate a debitmemo request and followed by a debit memo.
We have sold one equipment (material) to a customer, it is having some issue, the customer wants an immediate  replacement. We send the replacement immdiately, expecting the customer to return back the faulty one. But the customer is not returning back the equipment. After many followup, we create a debit memo request and debit him with a debit memo.
As I mentioned earlier, this is only a couple of scenarios. There are many.

  • What is credit and debit memo? cancelled and returned transactions...

    Hello Experts,
Can you please explain what does the terms above mean? Thank you guys and
    take care!

    hi...
A transaction that reduces Amounts Receivable from a customer is a credit memo. For eg. The customer could return damaged goods. A debit memo is a transaction that reduces Amounts Payable to a vendor because; you send damaged goods back to your vendor.
Credit memo request is a sales document used in complaints processing to request a credit memo for a customer. If the price calculated for the customer is too high, for example, because the wrong scale prices were used or a discount was forgotten, you can create a credit memo request. The credit memo request is blocked for further processing so that it can be checked. If the request is approved, you can remove the block. The system uses the credit memo request to create a credit memo.
    3. Debit memo request is a sales document used in complaints processing to request a debit memo for a customer. If the prices calculated for the customer were too low, for example, calculated with the wrong scaled prices, you can create a debit memo request. The debit memo request can be blocked so that it can be checked. When it has been approved, you can remove the block. It is like a standard order. The system uses the debit memo request to create a debit memo.
As mentioned above, creating a credit or debit memo request enables you to create credit or debit memos based on a complaint. For this first create a sales document with the order type for a credit or debit memo request. You can create the debit or credit memo requests in the following ways:
Accont receivables and account paybales are in FI Module - suppose you order some material and you cancelled the order - meanwhile company charges money from ur credit card ,now customer has to get money ,this time account receivable and account payable will come in pictures ...

  • Debit memo and credit memo reference issue

    Dear all,
Here there is case report from our clients:
    1) Create a credit memo request CR
    2) Post CR with billing type G2
    3) Create a debit memo request DR with reference to previous billing doc G2
    4) Post DR with BT L2, but it fails when it is released to accounting. The error message shows:
---> Item specified for invoice reference is not an invoice item
           Message no. F5348
An invoice reference to a vendor credit (vendor in debit) and to a
customer invoice (customer in credit) is not possible.
    Hence, there is the questions:
    1) It's SAP standard that DR could not be refereed to G2?
    2) If so, why system allow user to do it when she/he creates the DR?
    Thank you,
    James

    Hi,
I just want to tell you this is not the standard practice.
    Normal process
    order >> delivery >> Invoice
    Now here two scenario;s
Scenario 1 - Customer return or some other reason customer canceled and you want to credit him
Credit memo request(reference to invoice) >> Credit memo
Scenario 2 - Earlier invoice is wrong(wrong price) and you wanted to charge customer additional some amount
Debit memo request >> Debit memo.

  • Why does my debit memo carry MEP to CO?

    Dear friends,
    Here is the situation.
I try to create a debit memo(extra freight charge to customer)  reference my normal billing. When I check my debit memo in KE24, I realized the MEP(material external price) was carried as well.  My confusion is since my debit memo has nothing to do with product selling, how come it carries product cost(MEP)..
I check the relevant item category and realized the it's been unchecked for "determine cost" under business data.
Please advise where I missed or misunderstood.
    Thanks,
    Linda

    I found BAPIs:

please let me know if anybody have used them. If so what values need to be passed to I_UPLOAD_ID,I_DESTIN,I_SFA_REL parameters of BAPI_DEBITREQUEST_PROXY_CREATE. Are there any alternative solutions using the Salesorder bapi.

What are the Accounting Implications takes place once we create and release the credit memo / Debit memo in CRM Complaint Transaction?
How to see the entire document flow?
I can create Credit Memo for a Returned Line Item in CRM without any errors. But I could not see any follow-up transaction or process either in CRM or ECC.
Kindly educate me in this regard. Your suggestions are highly appreciated

    Hi suchi,
The following would be very useful to you.
To reduce implementation time for print forms development, SAP has created a set of the most commonly used forms - Preconfigured Smart Forms:
<u><b>SD:</b></u> Invoice, Quotation, Contract, Delivery Note, Order Confirmation, Scheduling Agreement, Inquiry, Cash Sales, Picking List
<b><u>MM</u></b>: Purchase Order, Request for Quotation, Contract, Delivery Schedule, Good Issue (3 scenarios), Good Receipt (3 scenarios)
    <b><u>FI:</u></b> Dunning Notice
All can easily adapt these forms to their requirements, saving time and money.
Hope this information has been useful to you.
if you would like to have a smartform of your own i.e a Z or a Y then there is an option to get a sap script copied onto a smartform.
the sap script for the same is -> <b>F140_DOCU_EXC_01</b>
Go to Txn SMARTFORMS and just put the required smart form name in FORM field and then go to the menu bar: Utilities-> Migrate SAPScriptForm and juts type in the Script name which is given above(i.e F140_DOCU_EXC_01 )
I hope this will be an amicable solution.
    if helpful pls reward.
    Thanks
