It couldn't hut to try a PRAM (Parameter Random Access Memory) reset. Mac OS X: What's stored in PRAM?
If it still doesn't work contact Apple for help in fixing it.

Hi passcode locked out of daughters new ipod. we backed up on computer this morning or rather it automatically backed up when plugged into itunes as directed from other posts i was reading. Then I tried to restore but it said I needed to turn off "find my ipod" which I cant because I need the passcode to get to settings. I then tried the home button power off but when i get to itunes restore ipod it tells me I need passcode. pleae help what step am I missing? go s l o w l y please I am new to mac after 20 years on pc and need help in steps that are not intuitive to me.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Missing Keys...NEED HELP

I am glued to my computer for work and personal at least 6 hrs. a day, so it will be a few weeks before i can send my MBP to Apple to get this fixed...but
Both of my Command keys have popped off, and use a TON of keyboard shortcuts. This may be a shot in the dark, but was wondering:
Since alot of my finder/app commands require just the apple/command key and a letter or number....is their anyway to move the command key, to a different key location?
I know i can do alot with my mac, so was hoping this might help me out for a few weeks

Not that I am aware of. If there is, it would be in - System Preferences/Keyboard/Keyboard Shortcuts-Keyboard & Text input. From there you can add shortcuts by clicking on the "+" sign.

Question-still need help please

After encountering an odd problem yesterday while uploading photos that forced me to manually shut down the computer, I could not reboot. I ran the disk utility, and it indicated repairs were made. But it still would not reboot. So I reinstalled Mac OS X, and now the computer will not accept my user name/password. Any suggestions on what I'm doing right or what I might do differently?

You may have to start the computer from the Installer boot disc and choose
from the menu options (not reinstall, again) to reset the Admin password.
It could be the same one you had before, if you like.
Did you do an Archive and Install -or- an Erase and Install?
How full is the hard disk drive? After it seems OK for awhile
you may decide if anything of value is in the old system and
if not, you could delete it. You may have to start up in SafeBoot
and run the built-in Disk Utility's "repair disk permissions" and
restart; there are some things other things you can do to help it.
Hard saying why the computer acted up. If the drive is getting
more than 70% full, you should be looking to archive files off
the machine's hard disk drive and then reduce its load.
How long have you had this computer, and what is its configuration?
PS: it would have been nice if you could have started a new
thread earlier on and kept the topic of your computer in there.
I see an earlier thread where the error message was a launchd
message, and that may have been helpful to know all the story.

Podcast Not Updating! Need Help Please!

Hey everyone--
I'm by no means an expert. I was able to use feedburner to get a podcast up and running. The feed is:

The latest three episodes will not update. I've tried everything I can find, including a comprehensive search of these very forums. I've pinged multiple times. I simply can't figure it out. Does anyone have any advice for me? I'd appreciate it greatly.

Your feed has 14 episodes in it, the last being dated November 15th and entitled BCN 11/14/10. All 14 appear in the Store and when subscribing.
Your feed links to a site at http://bednaz.tumblr.com/ . This shows three more recent episodes, added 1 day ago. These have not made it into the feed - hence their non-appearance in the Store. This is something you will have to investigate at Tumblr: it's not an iTunes problem.
Once you get the episodes into the feed and republish it, they will take around 2 days to appear in the Store, though they will appear immediately for subscribers.

A complete novice- still need help please!

I am a complete novice, any help would be appreciated. I have written this short programme to display two buttons in a window on screen and with a little help from Lee i have incorporated the ColorButton subclass (see below for code).

I am trying to familiarise myself with subclasses and want to create a subclass of java.awt.Button to override the background and foreground colours and have come up with this

Earlier Post - still need help please!

Earlier I said I was getting the message (The document “7/11Diverticulitis.pdf” could not be opened. Acrobat cannot open files in the “Adobe PDF document” format). Several people made suggestions. I tried all of them. #1 I renamed the files and tried. #2 I made sure I selected acrobat 9 as the application I wanted to use while opening a document. #3 I tried to delete and reinstall. I cannot install it for some reason the process does not auto install from my CD? Now what, I have already dumped my prior Adobe Acrobat 9 pro into the trash and emptied it! I am so confused. I use alot of pdf files as I have gone paperless. Before I created and read them with ease. Why would this happen just because I upgraded to a new computer. Still need help with flash player download

getting error message 2324 when downloading the latest update of itunes help please.
Will not let me uninstall itunes from my computer, gives me the message that I don't have access need administrator. ( I am the only user of this computer)

Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (Later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Should you get the error iTunes.exe - Entry Point Not Found after the above reinstall then copy QTMovieWin.dll from:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
and paste into:
C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
The above paths would be for a 64-bit machine. Hopefully the same fix with the " (x86)" omitted would work on 32-bit systems with the same error.

Hi,
usually when you upgrade, it should not delete your files, but if it happens, than you should have a backup.
Unfortunately it is very common, that people don't know, what exactly is in the backup.
The question is, what files exactly you are missing? Own pictures, or taken with the device? Purchased music form the iTunes Store, or own? ....
Documents and files are mostly up to the developer of the app, if they are part of the backup, usually not and you need to transfer them before.
In the backup you will find just pictures from the Camera Rolle folder, everything else you should have on the PC, if you had it on the device.
Same then for music, you can transfer purchased music from the device, but your own works just one direction, from PC to device, from device to PC it doesn't work.
In future I recomand you to be sure how the backup works or use a 3rd party app (iExplorer) where you have a little bit more "freedome" than with iTunes.
Or you maybe just restored from the worng backup
