Mobile Connectivity Problem

Hi
In flex mobile application if connection error occured once this error will continue till application not restarted
I am Testing my application ,which is internet connection dependent ,so i tried to disable connection when application is on,  connection error occured  till that it is ok but if i again start connection application is not able to detect connection it shows connection error
after i restart application it shows connection available
this coonection is display from the fau;lt handler of webservice operation
so is it any flex bug or programming problem ???
i am using Dell Streak --android 2.2.2

Could be a number of things... The order of debugging for me is generally:
Double check code in Flex app
Check permissions on the server for the web service (if applicable)
Check functionality of the web service outside of flex via the browser
Check connectivity of the device to the net
Check permissions is the app descriptor file (for android remember: <uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET"/> )
Triple check code in Flex app

  • Windows Mobile Connection Problem

I have a esmertec jbed 20070802.2.1 VM installed on an Windows Mobile Phone (At&T Tilt). The VM is not allowing to create any datagram servers or socket servers on any ports. I tried all ports and tried both signed and unsigned midlets
    Any idea why this happens?
    Thanks in advance

Uninstalling Access Connections did the trick.

  • IPOD CONNECTIVITY PROBLEM WITH WINDOWS XP VIA USB 2.0

    Enough is enough.
I have an ipod touch and I am having difficulty connecting it to my pc via usb 2.0.
I have searched the entire web and came across many cases similar or the same as mine. It's time for apple to face the fact that there is something wrong with either the apple mobile service or the apple usb drivers or the itunes software that causes connectivity problems with win xp.
For the record my case is this:
I got my itouch 3 days ago. I installed itunes 8.0. Then I plugged in my ipod to a usb extension cable port connected to a usb at the back of my desktop computer. At first I got the "this usb device can perform faster if you plug it to a usb 2.0 port etc." message. So I did. I removed the extension cable and connected it directly to one of the usb ports at the back. The first time it synchronized, it seemed fine. So I decided before I do anything with it, to update it to the 2.1 version. I made my account and bought (very bad policy there apple, it should be free or at least cheeper than 8 euro) the 2.1 update. I clicked to update the i-touch. While it was updating it crashed during the restore process (because it was disconnected but I didn't know that at the time). I unplugged it, resetted and plugged it back and managed to continue the restoring process until it was updated. After figuring out itunes I chose the "manage files manually option", kept everything unchecked in the sync options except the applications. I noticed there were random disconnections here and there but I didn't pay much attention because they weren't very frequent.
The next day I plug in the touch again and suddenly I hear that annoying "connecting-disconnecting" sound from windows while my touch kept disappearing and reappearing in itunes. Suddenly my playlists disappeared from the touch. Nothing was in the touch any more. How could that happen since i had chosen to manage my files manually instead of synchronizing? So I unplugged the touch again, restarted the touch, restarted the pc, stopped and restarted the apple mobile service, unistalled and reinstalled itunes, searched microsoft support and read many usb troubleshooting documents in the web. Nothing happened. The touch randomly keeps disconnecting from the usb. I eventually managed to put my stuff back in and keep them there.
    Here's what I know:
    1) There is nothing wrong with my usb ports. I don't use usb hubs, they are usb 2.0, the voltage (500mA) is correct in the device manager. Everything else works fine there.
    2) The ipod touch does not support disk mode so you can't see it under "my computer" and this is not a problem.
3)There is nothing wrong with the ipod, it works perfectly.
    4) This is not a usb cable physical problem.
    5) The five R's are irrelevant with this situation.
Uninstalling and reinstalling itunes doesn't solve the problem, neither does hard resetting the ipod.
    6) Older PC configurations seem to be more affected by this but it doesn't have to do with unsupported specific chipsets.
    Here's what needs investigating:
    1) There may be a problem with the apple mobile service running on win XP.
    2) There may be a problem with the apple usb driver and win XP or older motherboards.
    3) There may be a 2.1 firmware issue with usb 2.0 connectivity.
Workaround so you don't go nuts:
Use USB 1.1 instead of 2.0. It is A LOT slower but it keeps the connection stable and you can work with the ipod. Just start copying and go do something else for the next hour. So far it works for me.
This is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. I've stumbled across forum discussions dating to 2005 with this problem (with older ipods of course).

I think this needs to be put down to the eternal PC/Mac argument. Apple dont want to fix this as they want everyone to buy a Mac. Its a business, understandable, but in turning away PC buyers they alienate a huge percentage of the market.
Now, I had my first iTouch stolen. It synced, for the most part, very well, just occasionally it removed settings and music, but ticking boxes each time I sync'd sorted that, Its a workflow procedure.
SO, now that my Touch has been replaced, iTunes cannot see it. The PC can identify it on USB1 or USB2, My work lap top can see it and has indeed upgraded it to V2 software, just in case that was the issue, but no. For some really weird reason Itunes on my desktop cannot see the new pod.
This does not make sense with the argument that Apple software doesnt work on a PC, but doesnt help that none of the Apple support staff, phone or in-store have a clue about Windows operations.
Because my Touch has now been trying to connect to 6 separate installs of itunes, multiple USB ports, multiple USB cables, a complete overhaul of the registry settings (everything else still works), and the loss of all my previous settings and backups from the last Touch... but still, the PC says its an ipod but cant install it, iTunes sits there, dumb.
The only thing I can do now is sell the device as brand new as it has never had music on it and is just a week old...
It has changed the MiniMac I was going to have for my new flat screen TV into a PC and suggests that anyone with a PC should stick to devices that run on PC, of which there are many, just without the user interface of the dear departed IPod Touch.
    Thanks

  • Connection problems with Vista

I have problem using my Nokia 5320 as modem with Vista (with TIM as mobile provider).
The connection, very often, is lost. Even if the symbol "3.5G" is still on the phone, Vista looses
    the internet connection.
Someone says that is a Vista DHCP problem for mobile connection.
Could you, please, help suggesting some solutions?
    Thanks and regards

    Hi All,
I have checked again and the IP remains set when the internet is lost. (USB connection, no globe icon on the network monitor status) However the system handles the connection in strange way with DHCP for sure. I do not really familiar with it, so it could be normal as well.
I realized the communication loss is related to the baud rate change (increase) of the USB modem under the internet connection period (depends on the throughput of the actual 3G, 3.5G connections). I tried to set various details, parameters under modem settings but without any real success. It looks like the OS cannot really handle the HSDPA modem in the phone. Does not really know the exact working parameters of it.
Maybe I am wrong, I only guessing and trying to solve the issue, because it should work smoothly as works under Linux.
    Any idea from an expert?

  • 2504 controller + 2602 APs = wireless clients connectivity problems

    Hello, everybody!
I have a connectivity problems of wireless clients. The symptoms are:
    1) Some clients receive 169.254.x.x., instead a correct DHCP addresses, less in a minute connection drops, and in controller's "Monitor" > "Clients" tab these clients are marked as "Excluded".
    2) Most of the clients receive the correct addresses from DHCP (192.168.2.x), but also loose connection soon.
    3) Wireless clients with correct addresses can't ping each other, gateway and an address of the controller's dynamic interface (all of them are in same subnet).
    4) And the most suspicious problem is that some machines are unable to connect to APs after several attemps to do that. I mean, I configure controller and change some options, trying to understand, whether they were applied or not and constantly connect and disconnet certain PC to the SSID. After five or ten attempts I can't connect to the SSID. During these attempts, the others PCs stay connected, without interruptions, and they could be reconnected again. It's like some kind of port security works, but I'm not sure...
Do you have any ideas which options should I configure?
    My configuration:
I have three interfaces on the controller: virtual, management (default) and dynamic (it is set to the WLAN)
I have one SSID, WPA/WPA2, AES/TKIP, authentication PSK.
My clients are a/b/g/n, all are permitted on the controller. No custom security policies were applied.
All the devices are in a single room: controller, one AP and different clients: desktop, notebooks, iPad, Nokia Lumia, etc.
I have an internal DHCP Server on the controller and it works perfectly well.
I can provide all the screenshots required from web-interface of the controller...
Many thanks in advance for all ideas that you have about these problems...

    Hi, there!
    The problem was solved.
    1) APIPA address receives only single machine with Win8 - I think there are some firewall issues
    2) Other devices have been loosing connection because they were mobile devices, like iPad and Lumia. If you keep working with it, it doesn't drop the connection
    3) The dynamic interface address and gateway address were inaccessible because i had not used an appropriate port on the controller. =)))) Firstly, it was just a guess, but it proved.
Now, everything works with WPA2, AES, PSK...
It is a very good day!)
The only question remains: why I can't connect machines, which have a static IP? During the controller initialization, I said "yes" for permitting static IPs...
Guys, many thanks for your help!

  • Error when updating Mobile Connect Schedule for Remote Destination

On UCCM ver 8, I'm getting an error everytime I attempt to set the Ring Schedule for Mobile Connect when configuring a Remote Destination.
Error = Update failed. [10612] End user for TimeSchedule and TODAccess must match
This problem seemed to start after we were having an issue with the Remote Destination not working intermittently and we recreated the profile.  If I leave the Ring Schedule set for "All the Time" and update, the error does not occur.  It only happens when I specify a time.  My time settings are Friday only, from 8:30 to 16:30; Time Zone = (GMT-5:00) America/New York.
I do not have any TimeSchedule/TODAccess setup for End Users (that I know of), so not sure where to check this setting if it exists.  The phone type for this setup is the 9971 (sip).  We have other users using Remote Destination on this same model phone without an issue.

The problem was that the todaccesssetting table was missing an entry for that user's time schedule so it was failing to update.  The problem was resolved by simply deleting/recreating the Remote Destination and Remote Destination profile.

  • N97 connection problem

Hi, I got a new N97 on Orange 2 days back. I really like the phone but am having problems with it switching between WIFI and Orange Internet. I have tried various things from other threads but all to no avail. I have added my WIFI and set it to Internet Priority 1 in Destinations with my Orange Internet as P3, I have set Real Player, TV & Video and WEB to use Internet as instructed on another thread but still it will not automatically connect to my WIFI even though its shown as 'Avail'. To get connected to WIFI I have to reboot the phone to pick up the new connection, same when I go out, it needs a reboot to pick up Orange. Can anybody offer further advice or tips? Also I have read alot about V11 firmware, I have checked and it is not available for my  phone yet but will this fix this connection problem? If so I am prepared to wait for it as utherwise I am really impressed with the phone, however i can't live with having to reboot the phone everytime I leave the house to pick up a connection and am considering returning the phone. Thanks in advance...

It should be under destinations inside settings.
You can change the priority of the access points, and make it so it can't connect automatically to three/orange without your permission.
If you're not able to connect or select your access point using the web browser, you need set the default connection to ask each time within the settings of the web application.
If you get the selection screen saying 'internet' 'wap' and you get to choose, you can hit the left selection key and manually select what access point you want, regardless to the priority you have it set.
I had a n96 with the same issues you have raised, all i needed to do is set 'three video mobile intneret' to the lowest priority in the internet group and set it not to connect automatically so i have full control on when it conencts and how.
By the way, you can see if your connected to the internet by looking just below the siginal indicator, if there are SOLID arrows below the word '3g' then your connected to the network internet (for example three or orange), to quicky disconnect hold down the hangup for a few seconds on the standby screen.
    Hope it helps.

  • 5230 connection problems on Software update and Ov...

    Hi,
I recently bought a 5230 on a talk mobile monthly contract and I'v had a few connection problems. First of all I can't check for updates for my phone or the software on it. I just get an error message which says 'connection error'.
Similarly with Maps it simply won't connect to the internet saying 'something went wrong with the connection, please try again'.
The other internet accessing functions of the phone, like the browser and ovi store etc, work fine. Does anybody have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

I am on Pay & Go with o2 which includes web - same old prob with accessing ovi maps - will not allow connection to the internet - in spite of apparently managing to update the latest software - as o2 suggested.  Don't know what to do or where to go next for help.  Nokia support - zero - wish to hell I had never bought the phone as it has caused me no end of grief - time for an iPhone methinks!

Because Microsoft Mobile Community is rather high volume in threads, I recommend to create one thread for each topic. Especially in this case, because MixRadio has its own section. Are you able to log-into MixRadio with your Nokia Account? Are you about:
    A) individual songs (or complete album; purchase),
    B) offline mixes of MixRadio+, or
    C) MixRadio Unlimited download subscribtion.

  • Voice connection problem, one direction

I used video iChat from Europe to the US.Although I am using a mobile connection with limited Up and DOwnload speed (about 2000/250 kbit/sec) our video was excellent on both side.
Problem: The US side doesn't hear me but I hear them. We checked the audio settings both sides. What can it be? Please advise! Thanks

    Hi,
If the person is using multiple Output choices they will need to do the same for that in System Preferences > Sound > Output and the extra drop down that will appear in iChat > Preferences > Video section
On a tower putting speakers in the Line-out socket will show as Line-out in the System Preferences option.
Putting a headphone in the socket on the front does not cut this output like it does on a laptop.
They should open the Connection Doctor during a Chat from the Video menu.
This will show a graphic representation of your feed and a Frame rate and Bite rate fro you feed.
This will tell them if you are sending them Audio

Hmm, my lad also has the same phone with no issues connecting to my HH2 or HH3
(my hubs however are not set how they come delivered)
When it's connected to the hub, with the phone switched on, remove the battery, then re-insert and power up and then allow the phone to re-establish the connection.
(some phones can and do fail to 'talk' to your mobile operators servers, thus creating issues like this. rebooting should start the handshake process again)
    Does it now connect?
Failing that you could adjust the hub's settings to something like this:
Change the hubs SSID (BTHomehub2-****) to something simple like hub2
Initially leave the wireless interface type at b/g/n (works for me) or just b/g
Try a different wireless channel - though the other devices would also be flaky
Try using just WPA2 (mines set to this) or just WPA
You could try changing the wireless key from it's default - though all other devices would then need to be reconnected.
Have you checked to see if it's up to date using Samsung Kies?
Hopefully any of the contributions above will cure it, if not I'm sure the guys on these forums will assist you further.

  • N95 8BG "WiFi Connection problems" and "Web: no ga...

Like many users, I could not get my new Nokia (N95 8GB) to work with my WiFi. After many attempts, using the various ideas posted, I came up with a solution that works reliably for me.
First lets deal with "WiFi Connection problems"
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Wireless LAN
    'Show WLAN availability' = 'Yes'
'Scan for networks' = 'Every 5 minutes'
Some users have suggested choosing 'Advanced Settings' from the 'Options' menu, changing 'Automatic configuration' to 'Disabled' and the either setting 'RTS threshold' to '2346', or setting 'Power saving' to 'Disabled'. I tried both of these but they did not make any difference in my case. However they may make a difference for you, hence their inclusion here.
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points
Choose 'New access point' from the 'Options' menu
    'Data bearer' = 'Wireless LAN'
'WLAN network name' = If your network is set to broadcast its SSID, use 'Search for networks' then select your network from the list, otherwise use 'Enter manually' and type in the SSID.
'Connection name' = anything you like, but I use the SSID
'Network status' = not sure about this maybe someone can confirm, but I think if the SSID is broadcast then it is 'public', otherwise it is 'private'.
'WLAN network mode' = match this to your access point configuration. Mine is set to 'Infrastructure', so I do not cover the ad-hoc scenario here.
'WLAN security mode' = again I am using WEP so have not covered other scenarios.
'WLAN security settings' = these should match you access point configuration.
'Homepage' = whatever you like. I use 'http://www.google.co.uk', just so that when I start browsing I get something reliable, useful, and dependable. If Google fails to appear it usually means there is something wrong with your config.
Now lets handle the dreaded "Web: no gateway reply"
    Menu/Tools/Settings/Connection/Access Points
Scroll down to highlight the new access point and choose 'Edit' from the 'Options' menu. Now choose 'Advanced settings' from the 'Options' menu.
Assuming you network used IPv4, which most do in my experience, select 'IPv4 settings'. I don't know about IPv6, and don't use a proxy so these are not covered.
The values you enter in 'IPv4 settings', depend upon your network/router settings, and whether you have a DHCP server or not.
Assume your a router IP Address, on the LAN side, is 192.168.0.1, and that it has a DHCP server set to serve addresses in the range 192.168.0.64 to 192.168.0.192, using subnet 255,255,255,0. Since the mobile does not seem able to get an IP Address from the DHCP server we give it a static address 192.168.0.55. Notice this is outside the range sereved by te DHCP server to avoid conflicts.
    We end up with:
    'Phone IP address = '192.168.0.55'
    'Subnet mask' = '255,255,255,0'
    'Default gateway' = '192.168.0.1'
    'DNS address' = 'user defined'
    'Primary DNS address' = '192.168.0.1'
    'Secondary DNS address' = '0.0.0.0'
I used something similar and was at last able to browse the web via wifi.
I hope all of the above helps someone out there.

I have just experienced this problem having been using the WiFi network for months without problems. I tries all the suggestions on these forums including the power settings, turning off WEP, and the fixed IP suggestion and none worked. I even reinstalled the firmware and reconfigured everything. It turned out to be the router. I had rebooted it several times to no effect but the DHCP always gave the N95 the same IP address lease. So I changed the range of IP addresses the DHCP could lease and restarted the N95. It got a new IP and was back working again.
If at first you don't succeed, try again. Then quit. There's no use being a damn fool about it.

  • WLC 2504 Connectivity Problems

    This is a tricky one.
I installed a 2504 WLC with three AP's. Two SSID’s were configured, one with WPA2/AES-TIKIP and the other with Web Auth.
After installation, customers could connect to WLAN without problem and .
The problem that is occurring is that since the beginning of week, customers PDA's, cell phones and iPad and cannot access Internet with any of the two WLAN but clients who used laptop have no connection problems. Also the DHCP Server is assigning IP's correctly.
This problem also occurs with test SSID I created which is Open Auth. I see associated Cell phones and IPAD to the WLC but none of these answers ping from the WLC.
This is a WLC 2504 with IOS 7.4.100.

    Hello everyone!
Today I did a test with my Cell phone Samsung Note 2 and I have the same conectivity problem.
I have installed the APK ipconfig from the Play Store for Android in my cell phone and y see that I getting IP Address, Mask and Gateway.
This is what I´ve got from the APK:
    IP ADDRESS 192.168.8.181
    MASK: 255.255.255.0
    GATEWAY: 192.168.8.2
    DHCP SERVER: 192.168.8.16
    DNS1: 192.168.6.16
    DNS2: 192.168.2.16

The IP address of the DHCP Server is 192.168.8.16 and 192.168.6.16 and is a Microsoft Server.
I´ve created a test WLAN with OPEN AUTH but the problem remains.

  • Connection problem with my nokia 6230i

I try to connect my nokia with a nokia cable to my computer. I already did this on my mobile without any problem. When I try to do the same on my desktop I receive the following message :
there was a problem during the installation of your material nokia 6230i
this name is already in use as a service name or service name for display.
What can I do? Thanks for your help

My guess is you need to reinstall your drivers.
This is a pain, but not too complicated.
    - first, un-install everything Nokia-related from the PC via Contol Panel - be sure you include the Cable drivers!
    - restart the computer (yes, really)
    - install PC Suite as normal*
    - restart the computer
    * NB: it is VERY important that after you're prompted to plug in the phone during the PC Suite installation, you WAIT until ALL of the drivers are installed.
This will take AT LEAST 2 or 3 minutes, probably longer.
If you interrupt this process, you will get your connection problems again.Message Edited by patc on 14-Nov-200702:23 PM
