Modifying slideshow without code

I am doing a website for a non-technical artist friend. He has a .Mac account because it's easy. I got him iWeb because it is easy and he can then add pages and edit as needed. I chose the simplest white background template for his works, and when he tried out the Publish function in iPhoto, he really liked the look of the slideshow.
Well, we thought that brushed steel look would be the iWeb slideshow format, and since there are no formatting options on the slideshow link object in iWeb, and you can't preview that part of the site locally, I didn't think anything of it.
When I did the upload of the site for him (he's got dialup, I've got cable, just faster for all the images) and checked out the site, I see that the formatting is a .Mac resident javascript and it is black, ugly, and annoying. The reflection is ugly, the controls hover OVER the image and don't go away and the nice row of thumbnails that used to be at the bottom are now hiding at the top over the image, they flicker and are not obvious to an unsuspecting visitor. In short, we both hate the format.
I also find out that the only 2 ways to change the formatting are to put the site on a non- .Mac account (losing the ease of use for my friend) or changing the css in the html on every single slideshow page, every time he re-publishes (WAY beyond his abilities, not to mention his attention span - there are 13 different slideshow pages just to start. ). The whole purpose of getting iWeb was to get the nice simple interface for a non-techie and get exactly that white and brushed steel setting for his paintings. Now, we loose both ways.
PLEASE tell me that there is an easy way to edit the slideshow format, globally (one file that I can upload or edit for him, one time) or that there is an update of iWeb that will have options available.

You need to do double publishing:
1) publish the site to .mac
2) then publish the site to a folder
3) mount your idisk and locate the site folder
4) replace photo pages and their associated 'photo_files folders' with the one in 'published to folder'
5) copy Slideshow_assets folder from the 'published to folder' to idisk site.

I read some posts about that , but many links doesn't work and I can't found how to USE.

Slideshow without .Mac

Is there any way I can make a slideshow without using .Mac?
I need to have my own domain name, and .Mac doesn't allow that, so it isn't an option. However, I also would like to have some pictures in a slideshow.

You get a slideshow with the photo page template either way, its just a different slideshow format.

Modifying default html code used for publishing

Apologies if this is a duplicate - my machine locked up.
To meet security requirements of our site -- I need to have
the references in the html code generated when publishing swf
w/html use https rather than http.
I've found references to modifying the html code generated
but wondered if there is a way to modify the default code rather
than each time I publish. I found the references in two places in

Indeed, Captivate has "seed" files that it uses. You should
probably investigate modifying them.
For Captivate 1, look here:

OS X says that Compressor was modified since the code sign and won't let me launch it. Any reasoning behind this?

After updating Compressor to the most recent version (4.2), I get a message saying that Compressor was modified since the code sign and then won't let me launch it.
I have tried reinstalling Compressor restarting and updating my computer.
Any reasoning behind this problem??

Bind webpart with sharepoint page without code

If you want to add webpart on any page without code then
1)go to page in c#and open its element.xmland add the code shown in diagram.mention webpart order and zone name etc.
Now the question is what to be added inside cdata tag?
so that webpart will get attached with that page?

Go to webpart in visual studio
find webpartname.webpart file
copy the code code inside
<webParts></webParts> tag inside that <![CDATA[ ]]> tag of element.xml file.
Then you can see that webpart is attached with page.
mention proper webpart zone and zone order.
Try to mentain all webpart projects in one solution.
In this way you can avoid webparts programatically added into page and solution will get less complex

I trying to submit an Infopath form to a Document set, the document set will be a different one for each instance of the form. How can the form be submitted to a dynamic location without using code behind? I am in SharePoint online and this is
a limitation.

Hi,
If you want to submit an InfoPath form to different locations dynamically, there is no OOB approach without code, since submit option needs static URL value.
Here is a similar issue for your reference:

Without code, to submit form to different locations, you need to manually add submit rules per the Document Sets in your library, such as create a new column for Document sets name, then create submit rules to separately specify destination in submit options.
Here are the steps for your convenience:
1.Insert a text box named “field1” to type the names of the document sets in the InfoPath form.
2.Add a button to submit in the InfoPath form.
3.Add rules in the submit button: Add condition: “field1” is equal to “01”(the name of the document set in my environment) -> Add Submit Data in Run these actions field -> Add Data connection -> Type the URL of the document set “01” and type the
file name you want.
4.According to the different document sets you want to submit to, you could add more rules in the submit button to repeat the step 3.

Modifying VI without effecting the Code?

I am Modifying a develpoed software.I studied the software,Devicenet prorcol is used for communication.I want to add Ethernet Communication on that VI.The architecture used for the develpoment is UUT.Is it possible to include Ethernet Protocol to same VI without effecting the code???

I am not sure what the UUT architecture means. Since DeviceNet protocol uses CAN and it is not going to affect your Ethernet communication , you can go ahead and develop. Affecting the code really depends how you are designing the Ethernet communication and going to implement it, but you can add without affecting the original operation of the code.
The best solution is the one you find it by yourself

Custom Date format in InfoPath DatePicker without code

Hello,
I am trying to customize the date format in my date picker on my InfoPath form. I went to the date picker properties and was able to change it so that it displays the format in "14-Mar-01" but I want to really customize and have it formatted to look
like the following "MMM-YY" format. Is there a way to go about setting this format without custom code? I am unable to use any server side code for my forms.

According to your post, my understanding is that you want to customize the date format like “MMM-YY” without custom code.
The date format which is set in InfoPath Form is different from the date column’s default format in SharePoint.
In SharePoint, the default format of the date column is depended on the selection of the “Time Zone”, “Region”, “Calendar” options in the “Regional Settings” of Site Settings.
However, the date format which is set in InfoPath Form only works on the items’ NewForm, EditForm, DispForm in the lists.
I recommend that you can create a calculated column based on the date column with this formula: =TEXT(Date,"MMM-YY").
Then, you can modify view to display the calculated column and hide the date column in the list.
The result is shown as below:

Smartview 11.1.2.1 toolbar-Add new/modify functionality without VBA

Please help me with below questions
1. Is it possible to add new custom functionality (like add new button/modify the existing functionality) in Smart view 11.1.2.1 toolbar or anywhere in Smart view main menu without using VBA?
2. Can above mentioned changes brought on the server side, which would reflect on client; in other words, maintain code on server side; no need of installation.
3. Is JAVA code supported by Smartview 11.1.2.1 as VBA; if yes then how it can be achieved?

2. Can above mentioned changes brought on the server side, which would reflect on client; in other words, maintain code on server side; no need of installation.The Smartview client UI elements are derived from local msoffice APIs, and not managed at the server. The server is a web service and the only thing it knows is how to dispatch requests in the form of XML to the appropriate API (E.g. Essbase) and return the results to the client as an xml stream.

Excel - Modify rows without touching other data (have gone thru LV report generation 4 designs)

Have gone thru FAQs and examples. (And also 4 parts of 'Creating a Report in Microsoft Excel Using the LabVIEW Report Generation Toolkit'. Unfortunately this document is not clear enough for me.)
Have task of modifying rows of the same excel sheet, number of times without touching data already present (numbers and strings)
I have an excel file. (attached)
A test will be run N number of times. (N<=17)
SubTask 1 --> Each time it runs, string data needs to be placed in 'n'th row. (...there are going to be notes in Row 18 and row 19)
SubTask 2 --> Each time it runs, a 1D array data also will be placed in the same row (but in different cells)
SubTask 3 --> The number 'n' of the row (where to place the current iteration's data) needs to be determined on fly (by looking at "n-1"st non blank row)
The same file needs to be used.
How can above be achieved ?
