Module Booking

Hi Michael,
This is rahul.Am working on Module booking when am trying to book modules from student file am unable to see  module list for that particular year & session
it is not displaying any module.
I have done session offering for modules.
but still it is not displaying module for that year & session.

Capacity is checked on various levels as mentioned in the previous response. The override from Student Lifecycle Management allows with authorization to override module and event package capacity messages. The maximum event capacity (which is either maximum capacity defined through the event itself or by the maximum capacity of the room) could not be exceeded. It could be that in your case the message log shows capacity exceeded limits for both the module and the event. The message log probably shows one being overridable and the other one not. If you then override the system executes the module booking activity, however could not execute the event booking. Then of course no event booking is created.
You may be able to resolve this by changing the event capacities appropriately.
The nice feature of dealing with capacity on all levels is the ability to share events accross various contexts. However this imposes that there is a seperate capacity management on this level.

    Hi,
    Sorry that i am putting so many questions at a rapid pace.
    My client has strange requirements at module booking level. The system shall check the academic overview of previous module if booking is happening at subsequent module. It shall count the Pass/fail status and no of repetitions. In case it is not meeting any requirement it shall not book the students in next module and trigger a mail to HOD.
    Do we have any standard functionality for this or we have to code it in module booking function module?
    I am not sure about using VSR rules for meeting the same? Please suggest.

  • Module booking capacity

    Today i got a message from Postech that when module booking is meet maximum capacity we can use message override but in this case link between student and event is not created.
    it is standard error or do we have any customizing for this.

    I have assigned specializations to the student during registration but during module booking all the modules that are offered for the session are reflecting irrespective  of the specialization which ideally should not be the case.
    e.g.,  registered a student to the finance specialization, but during module booking marketing specialization related modules are also reflecting in the selection criterion....
    i may be missing few things....pl guide me

    You can test the web self-service just by launching the Web Dynpro PIQ_MBSS_OIF directly at first.  The Student Role (delivered with EHP4) in the portal also includes it as part of the Service Map.  The standard portal location is:
    pcd:portal_content/com.sap.pct/specialist/com.sap.pct.isher.student.bp_folder/com.sap.pct.isher.student.roles/com.sap.pct.isher.student.student
    I believe you need the following Business Package in your portal:  BPISHERST03_0-10006146

    Santosh, you can see that at table hrp1001. You have to look for Object types ST related to Object types SM (SCLAS).
    Then, at hrpad506 you can get the status of the booking of the student on the modules, and all booking related data.

  • Can we enhance 0HE_SLC_MBK_1 - BW datasource to have module as selection

    Hello All,
    Is there any way you can
    have the selection screen enhanced for the Module Booking extractor (0HE_SLC_MBK_1). Currently it has Student number and Busines Partner as options which are not suficient, there are time when we want to do a full load for just particular academic period or particular module so it would be great to have atleast these two options.
    Having Module, Event Package and Academic Period as selection option would work great.
    I tried modifying the extractor in our sandbox by going to RSA6 in change mode and selecting these boxes in the screen but that does not work and I get short dump. Do you have any ideas about this?

    Hi Kiran,
    You can enhance it, but you need to modify the coding of the extractor as well. Currently the Extractor is designed in such a way that it reads all the modules for all or a set of students.
    It does this via an OPEN CURSOR statement on the table cmacbpst. You would have to build in the new selection criteria via the RSA6 and then enhance the coding.
    It is a bit odd that you get a short dump when trying to change the extractor. What exactly are you running into? Maybe you should try to activate the extractor again in the RSA6 (mark it and use the pull down menu DataSource --> Activate).
    By the way...you probably cannot have this functionality via the usual customer exit but you would have to make a modification for this to work properly. The customer exit is only accessed AFTER reading all the data specified in the selection criteria.

  • Using shared objects to create bookmarks in a course module

    I'm relatively new to Flash ActionScripting so I'm
    looking for a little help from those who live and breathe the code.
    I've been banging my head around for weeks trying to get this
    function to work in my module (books, tutorials, internet etc...).
    My module is rather simple. Each page of content is it's own .swf
    file. I call up each .swf by programming the navigation buttons
    (Back, Next) with this script:

    I have approximately 49 .swf files (pages of content) in my
    module approximately 1 1/2 hrs. So you can see why bookmarking is
    important to me as well as my users. If I could get an idea on how
    to create the script on the first .swf and what scripting needs to
    be on the following .swf's it would be greatly appreciated.

    I have question about EHP4 online module booking program and Maybe Michael give me some advice.
    In my university some module like language ( Thai, English ) have lots of event package and in the SAP GUI module booking program lock from the module to event and EHP4 also locking module during booking i want to design differently.
    I want to know in EHP4 online module booking program locking module during booking ?.
    If not i am happy but if it is locking i must have many module rather than have many event package.

    Thanks for your help but i have to explain a little more.
    Of course, i will use time windows but the problem is some module like Language have about  30-50 event packages so whether i use time windows, if the Webdynpro module booking program locking module during booking time, i have to persuade customer to have many modules rather than have one module to avoid module locking.
    In detail
    Module name Thai language have for about 50 event package
        if EHP4 online module booking program locking module during module booking
    i want to change as follows.
    Module name Thai language 01 - 50 and each module have only one event package
    and it will be much better for system performance if webdynpro program locking module during module booking.
    so my question is , Webdynpro module booking program locking module or event package level ?.
    If module level, i think i must have many module rather one module but locking to event package level i will have only one module.

  • Automatic define academic scale in booking process

    I want the system automatically define the academic scale setting in evaluation infotype of module (1710) in booking process.
    And I found this information from IHE103.
    u201CWhen you enter a grade for module appraisal, the scale which defines the format of the grade is taken from the scale defined in the booking relationship or it is inherited from the Evaluation infotype (1710) of the module or program of study:
    u2022Starting from the program of study (SC) and following to the module (SM).u201D
    I think it is possible to solve this requirement by using standard configuration. Could anyone suggest me how to config the IMG to support this requirement ?

    Hello cha,
    If the academic scales are defined at module level i.e., in module evaluation infotype, the same scales will be inherited to the module booking and appraisal. We also have the provision to define a different scale in module booking,  in such a case, this will be used in appraisal. 
    If no scales are maintained at all in module 'evaluation' infotype and during module booking, the scales defined in img activity ' define standard scales ' will be used.
    If your requirement is to use only the scales defined in module ' evaluation ' infotype, then u can leave the 'scale ID' field blank during module booking process, then the scale ID defined at module level will be inherited though not displayed in booking dialog.

  • Custom templates to books LR5

    Hello everyone,
    I'm testing the module books. Sounds like a great idea but I find great limitations.
    The preinstalled page templates are not enough. I mean, I can use pages with 1 photo, 2 photo, weddings, creative, etc.. These designs do not like too much.
    My question is, could I design additional templates in photoshop or indesign? (or any other software) and then install them in LR?

    Hi,
    To my knowledge, I think we cannot deploy it to a machine which has no Office installed on it and no point to do that, IMO.
    To avoid the errors during the deployment, you can organize all the machines into different organization units. Then only deploy templates to those computers which has Office instance.
    If you have to do this for some special needs, maybe you can create the registry structure and the required registry entries with some scripts before push out the templates.

  • Clearing incorrect booking entries

    Hi,
    How it's possible to clear already cancelled bookings (because it was a data entry mistake) in "Booking Dialog" tab so that they wouldn't obstruct the view of the remaining truly booked modules?
    Having a mixture of green ticks and red stops in this tab slows down the very process of booking for the end users as it becomes difficult to realize visually what is already booked and what is not. Especially when a history record is kept anyway in the "Booking History" tab.

    Hi Janek,
    When you delete the relationship of the particlar module in pp01 , your problem get solved . It will not appear in the Booking Dialog .
    <b>Note :</b>
    In your query you have mentioned that , it is difficult to visualize the green ticks and red stops but the actual purpose of the Booking dialog is to know what is the activity that has been done by a student .
    When you want to overcome this difficulty , you can for Booking History tab where only booked modules comes into picture as you have mentioned .
    The booking dialog comes into scenario, when the fees is collected for the students for each module booking the student is doing .
    So , it good that the each activity is recorded in the system what the student/administrator does . Additionally , the students can cancel the booking module giving the cancellation reason as <b>"Incorrect Entry"</b> .

  • DW CS3 ImageViewer - problem with .swf file

    I'm trying to make a slide show in Dreamweaver for the first time. I've searched and found a lot of common problems people have - forgetting to upload the .js file, not including the .swf file, etc.
    I think I've done everything right (obviously I'm wrong though), it previews in DW, it works when I preview it in a browser, but when it's uploaded, nothing.
    But I think I've found where the problem is. The .swf file that was created doesn't seem to be the right file. When I open it, it shows a blank flash slideshow with three empty slides, just as the sample is when you first open the Imageviewer.
    But then what is DW pulling the slideshow from that works in the preview?? How do I re-export the .swf file from DW?
    Do my questions even make sense? Sorry, kinda new at all this.

    The .js file is in the Scripts folder, the .swf is in the same folder. Actually, here you can see why it doesn't work. This is the .swf file, three blank pages:

    If you look at my last post, the js file has been overwritten with html code, and this is what will be causing the problem.
    The only solution is to delete this file insert a new flash object (any swf file will do for this), then copy the new js file to your server, as your flash will not work with this file.

  • Has anyone successfully used new custom templates with bookings?

    I have been trying to use an alternate list template for bookings as a fallback for the standard list I have which is outputting json.
    I saw recently in the september release that custom templates are out (thank goodness).
    I have tried:

    {module, booking,a template="fallback_list.tpl"}
    This is from http://helpx.adobe.com/business-catalyst/partner/using-custom-templates-modules.html it looks wrong to me.
    Then I tried renaming it to html cause I read http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-2573
    Then I tried relocating it, removing the underscore, adding commas, removing commas, single quotes and double quotes.
    But they all return No events found.
    {module_booking,a, }
    Returns the expected amount of bookings.
    Any thoughts?

    1.Student select their interested event package via website.
    2.Advisor review the student's event package list.
           2.1 In case of REJECT : student need to revise their list
           2.2 In case of APPROVE : all event package have confirm and run fee calculation.
    The information above is shortly requirement , if any one have suggestion for this requirement please suggest me.

    I have some suggestions for you:
    1.  Create the module/event booking with 'Manual Conditional' flag.  Then, when the advisor approves a booking, remove the conditional flag.  If the advisor rejects, cancel the booking.  Here, you need to create some kind of UI for the advisor to review and approve/reject the requests.
    OR
    2.  Create the booking using a booking status such as 'pre-booked'.
    OR
    3.  Don't create any bookings from the student side.  Just create a booking plan instead.
    OR
    4. Look at a subtle process change that would let you use more out-of-the-box user interfaces/processes.  Students simply request special booking authorization for the event packages they want.  This automatically sends workflow approval messages to the advisor.  Then, just have a general rule which blocks all bookings that don't have this special authorization.   Once the student has a special booking authorization, he can just go into the course registration self-service and book the approved event packages.

    I have following requirements about student file and master data that certain IT are not displayed when i do not have authority.
    for example, if A student is belong to my department, IT1702 must be dislayed but student B is not belong to my department IT1702 must be disabled or must dissappear.

    Hi,
    The authorizations checks in Campus Management consist of the basic authorization and the structural HR authorization.
    The basic authorization determines whether the user is allowed to execute a certain function, while the structural authorization determines the objects for which the user is allowed to execute this function. In other words, the basic authorization defines what function the user is allowed to use, and the structural authorization defines for which objects the user is allowed to use this function.
    For example, the basic authorization can define that the user is allowed to perform the create module booking activity. With the structural authorization you can restrict this activity only to modules offered by the faculty of Mathematics, for example. (The user can then access these modules whenever required; see also Structural Authorization).
    Basic Authorization
    In release CM 4.64, three authorization objects are used in Campus Management:
    At the first level is the transaction code check. The system performs this check each time the user starts a transaction using the menu or command line. For this check to be successful, the user requires an authorization for the relevant transaction code in the authorization object S_TCODE.
    At the second level, the Campus Management function is divided into two parts. The first part includes activities such as create request, create registration, create re-registration, cancel module booking, and so on. The second part covers master data like student master data and a major part of the academic structure.
    When checking the authorizations for master data, the system uses the HR authorization object PLOG for master data authorization checks. A new authorization object ( P_CM_PROC) has been implemented for activities in release CM 4.64. The system now only checks whether the user is authorized to use the activity. It no longer checks if the user is authorized to read or change the data in this activity. The new authorization concept has the following advantages:
    It simplifies authorization assignment. The system no longer uses the comprehensive data model with its many objects and object interrelationships as the basis for the activity authorization (authorization assignment via authorization object PLOG);
    Changes in the data model have no effects on the authorization checks for activities;
    It is now possible to distinguish between create and change operations, for example in re-registrations;
    You can now distinguish between re-registrations and leaves of absence.
    The table T7PIQPROCESS (Activities) contains all Campus Management activities. The system performs authorization checks for all activities with the exception of the ones listed below.
    Authorization checkes are not performed for the following activities:
    AC10 (Send Reminder for Outstanding Payments)
    HSMA (Create Status Indicator Manually)
    PR11 (Create Applicability List Automatically)
    These activities do not contain any activity-related authorization checks.
    In the standard system, the authorization check for activities is independent of the objects for which the activities are performed, and of their attributes. (The structural authorization only restricts the objects which the user can then process irrespective of the activity.). If you require additional checks, you can use the business add-in HRPIQ00AUTHORITY.
    Structural Authorization
    The structural authorization enables you to define the set of objects the user is authorized to process. You determine these objects using evaluation paths. You can define whether the user should only be given a display authorization for these objects or a maintenance authorization as well.
    You cannot combine the structural authorization with the basic authorization. The user is therefore authorized to process the assigned set of objects irrespective of the function (s)he is currently using.
    Further notes
    As functions from other applications areas (Training and Event Management, Notification Processing) and from Student Accounting are integrated in Campus Management, users also need authorizations from these areas.
    Campus Management contains a number of roles which you can combine with the roles of other application areas to create composite roles. You can either assign a composite role or individual roles to users.

    Student Accounting SAP_FI_CA_
    You create the business partner authorizations in separate IMG activities which you can find in Customizing for Campus Management in Campus Management Master Data -> Students -> Students as Business Partners -> Basic Business Partner Settings -> SAP Business Partner -> Business Partner -> Basic Settings -> Authorization Management.
    In the SAP Reference IMG under Basis Components -> System Administration -> Users and Authorizations, you can find more IMG activities in which you can make general settings for authorizations.
