Most frustrating phone issue I ever had!

This is what I would like to do if possible: Have all my accounts synced through my Iphone, to Mac Mail 2.0, to the server.
Example: I have an email on my phone.....I delete that email, and I wanted deleted from the Iphone, Mail 2.0, and also the server. And anything else I do with emails on my phone to also sync with Mail 2.0 and the server.
Emails I have: Gmail (IMAP), AOL (IMAP), ME (IMAP), Yahoo (won't IMAP in 2.0 without upgrade, just want it on Iphone and server to sync not 2.0), and lastly Comcast (POP, but will probably import into Gmail....Not now though! haha)
Is any of this possible? I tried every setting on the Iphone, 2.0, and server. +(store sent here, move deleted there, do this after a month, do that after a week, etc, etc, etc....it's different every place!)+ I can't get it! The most frustrating thing I have ever experienced with a phone. Thanks in advance.

Yes, however At&T bought Cingular since then. It's not the phone. My husband has the same problem and this is my third iphone. 2nd was an uprade 3rd an early upgrade to the 3GS because I accidently stuck my phone into the washer. I always had the same problem with service and so does my husband. He is on his third phone as well. 2nd was an upgrade which got chopped by the lawnmower. All together we had 6 iphones different sim cards same bad service.
I really want Apple to give people a choice with their service. I also own apple stocks and have done quite well with it. This will hurt them sooner or later. This is terrible service and every day I wonder how much will I take to support apple? I need a phone that can hold a conversation for a few minutes and one that doesn't tell me the number does not exist, when in fact it does (saved contact).
Their airspace or whatever you call it is insuffient here and maybe elswhere, that's why I asked the questions: Is it just me?

    The Notification bar 
    This has been a issue when I first got the phone. Sometimes when I turn the phone on it keeps flickering resulting in the screen to be unresponsive. I have to turn the screen off and try again and that works only 40% of the time. I heard this is a common issue but I haven't found a soultion 
    The Power/Standby button
    When the screen is off and I try to turn it back on sometimes it won't work. I have to wait at least 30 seconds for the screen to turn on. This is frustrating because I can't access my phone when I want 
    Camera 
    "Unfortunatly the camera has stopped working" is a frequent message I get. This is so annoying because when I want to snap a picture quicky the camera will freeze and the phone becomes unresponsive and I have to turn off the screen and wait until it sorts itself out. Also when I try to use the quick record feature it will sometimes record for 3 seconds then freeze resulting in the video just recording audio or not recording anything at all. 
    I also noticed there is a conflict with the app snapchat. If I used snapchat and try to acess my camera this will cause the camera not to work so I have to close the snapchat app. This was never an issue on my previous phone (Galaxy S3) 
    There are a few more problems but I can't be bothered to list all of them now
    This was a great phone when I first had it but after a few months it's proven to be a really glitchy phone. Really disapointed because back in the day I used to have a W800i and K750i when Sony was on top then and now they put out phones like this!
    Anyone know if I can swap the phone or get a replacement? I did get a contract from EE so is it their problem or Sony's?

    Sorry to hear that you're having issues with your phone.
    For the two first issues i recommend that you first try updating your phone from Settings -> About phone -> Software update. If that doesn't help, also try reinstalling the firmware using a computer and Update Service.
    If the issue should still remain I think that this needs to be examined and fixed at a repair center. For more information about how to submit your phone for repair and where, contact your local support team.
    The issue you're seeing with the camera is a known issue. We have investigated it and the cause of the issue is in Snapchat not closing the camera properly. I'm afraid this is not something we can solve. We need to wait for an update of Snapchat.

  • I dunno about you guys... but this is the best phone I've ever had.

    Yeah, 4G isnt always there. But, this phone is BLAZING fast. I've had maybe 5 stutters of lag in the last week or so that i've had it. Coming from a Droid Incredible, this is a godsend. 
    I had to set Force GPU Rendering and Window and Transition Animation Scale to 0.5x, and thats all this phone needed.
    Honestly, here are the improvements I'd ask for, but these ARE NOT complaints; these are things that I'm happy without and even happier with:
    1. Camera: same as Nexus, but make it 8MP as well as a bit higher quality
    2. Give us the option for a fixed menu button (like the on screen home button -- just leave a menu button right there in the bottom right corner).
    3. Give us the ability to create shortcuts to any setting and application (IE, i want to be able to jump directly to Developer Options, or I want to have a shortcut for Voice Search on the bottom of my screen.)
    and LASTLY
    4. MAKE A 3D phone LIKE THE EVO 3D!!
    But, HONESTLY verizon, you did a good job in my book on this one. And the customer service was phenomenal, rep named Steven helped me. I couldn't be happier right now with this phone. Keep trying to do things with the customer in mind

    This is an app issue. Apps that have not been compiled with ICS API installed (Most of the apps), the menu button will jump around, but for Google apps that are preinstalled, the menu is in its proper place. There are a couple of exceptions, where the Google app has a menu in a different spot that the other apps. At times it can be frustrating since you do not have it in the sameplace for everything, but I am starting to like the 'no hardware button' concept with ICS.
    3. Give us the ability to create shortcuts to any setting and application (IE, i want to be able to jump directly to Developer Options, or I want to have a shortcut for Voice Search on the bottom of my screen.)
     There is a shortcut to settings in the notification bar. Press on the settings icon looking thing, and it will bring you to the settings menu. Not as nice as a shortcut to the specific setting, but this allows you not to take up home screen real estate with a shortcut to settings.

    Not a feature that I would want personally, but that is nice about Android..... different strokes for different folks, unlike Apple where everyone has to have the same hardware.

    You are right.... this is a good phone. I came from the Droid X world, and having a phone without blur is simply great. Apps run much better, less problems with apps and it works good for me. One thing I noticed, I have an app I use when driving, which gives me my speed, direction, and the temp of where I am currently located. On the X, sometimes it took up to three minutes for the GPS to start working. With the Nexus, the GPS is working with 20-30 seconds.

    OK... I "upgraded" my phone to the Bold 9650 when it just came out earlier this year, wanting the latest and greatest. I have been an extremely loyal BlackBerry user for more than a decade. In fact, one BlackBerry I had a while back went a year-and-a-half without crashing, freezing, nor giving me any trouble whatsoever. Now, unfortunately, with my bold 9650, I'm lucky of I can go an HOUR-and-a-half without some sort of freeze or crash, and often the only way to get back on track is to pull the battery and restart. Several. Times. Each. Day. And I get REALLY tired of seeing the spinning icon showing me that BlackBery is doing something on its own, but I cannot do a thing with it. Can't move the thumbwheel. Can't enter any text. Can't even shut the phone off!!!
    Am I alone, or are others out there experiencing the same problems? I'm about to abandon the Bold 9650 and get something else. What is a good replacedment for it?

    Thanks to SuzyQ for your input. Hi OEMMaster, How much memory is on your device? It could be low memory causing your device to freeze. Please try cleaning the memory to free up some space and resources. If your memory cleaning feature is not turned, please use the steps below to enable this feature with helping to avoid low memory.  I'm providing steps below for turning this feature along with a link to our website to the user manual and simulator supporting your device. If you have tried these suggestion and still have the issues, I could look into an option of offering you a certified like new replacement if you are under warranty.     To turn on the memory cleaning feature:
    1. On the Home screen or in a folder, click the Options icon.
    2. Click Security > Advanced Security Settings > Memory Cleaning.
    3. Select the Enable check box.
    4. Press the key > Save.

  • Quite posibly the most unstable device I've ever had the misfortune to use.

    I'm in utter rage at the performance and stability of the iPhone 3G.
    My 8GB model constantly crashes, freezes, music stutters and I am experiencing REGULAR slowdown on the device.
    I gave up a perfectly functioning N95 after having a positive experience with the iPod touch and I finally wanted to have the touch experience with the 3G. How wrong was I to get this phone.
    To top this all off, I know someone who has the same 8GB iPhone 3G and he has told me that his one has never slowed down or crashed.
    After my above rant, is he lying or could I have a faulty device? The old 1.14 software on my iPod touch was rock solid with the odd crash in safari but i never did experience the laggyness as I am on the 3G.
    Am I experiencing the norm with these issues or is my friend correct that the iPhone 3G is as stable as he tells me?

    You could have a faulty device. My daughter has the 3G iPhone and says she has no problems and loves it (she is also coming from an iPod Touch). I've had the original iPhone for a bit over a year and have had no problems -- even after upgrading to OS 2.0 on July 11.

    We are extremely sorry that you have had a bad experience with Adobe .
    As far as your issue is concerned ,Acrobat generally prompts for internet connection as it is required to activate the product before you could use it comfortably .Once the product is activated or licensed you would be able to use the software offline .
    This could be the possible reason you are experiencing this .Please check if you have done so and still facing this .And if you have not ,you need to license/activate your product by typing in your credentials ,i.e Adobe ID and password .

  • The most frustrating software i have ever used.

    I am getting an error message "The localized resource files for this application could not be loaded.  Please reinstall or repair the application and try again.  This I have been doing since 9:00 a.m. this morning.  I purchased the Student version of Illustrator 4 and photoshop 4 for my highschooler who is planning on majoring in graphic arts.  I am no IT person but I have loaded software before.  I have been trying to load (correctly) illustrator for the past two weeks.  At each step there was a problem that took me days/ to resolve.  As i said, I am no IT person.  Below is  a message I posted earlier today.  I finally found an answer posted by someone named Bret and it worked!!!!!.  Please can someone help me with the above problem.  I am so afaid of installing Photoshop extended if I can get illustrator.
    I am far from being an IT person and am very frustrated in loading this software.   I purchased the student version of Adobe photoshop  CS4 extended and Adobe Illustrator CS4.  My daughter had put a trial version on our computer for an art project. A month later I purchased both Adobe photoshop cs4 extended  and Illustrator 4.  I had trouble loading illustrator until I deleted the trial version.  After deleting cs4 extended, the illustrator worked. However something messed up my printer.  I did a system restore (opps) which messed up my Macafee virus.  I finally fixed Macafee with the help of the customer service.  However, the system restore took off the illustrator and put the cs4 extended version back on.  What a DAY.  I waited a week to try to reinstall illustrator and the CS4 extended.  Now my system will not let me uninstall the trial version nor put illustrator on correctly.  Help--you are my only hope.

    hello ppl, i bought 6300 last year in may, after few months it started with random reboots, nokia care ppl kept it for about a month, after few days it was back again with reboots!! now the situation is so dat, the phone doesn't start even! the screen fades out before the nokia screen and power gone!!
    i can't even upgrade the firmware because the phone doesn't start!!

    I've had the exact same problem just last weekend. What's happening is the software/database on your phone has become corrupt and needs to be repaired.
    Steps to take;
    1 - If possible, back-up your messages/contacts and other valuable data (use the nokia software to do this on a USB cable)
    2 - Download the firmware upgrade for the phone. The latest version for the 6300 is v06.60.
    3 - Wait for your phone to go through a reboot process, and then begin upgrading the firmware.
    4 - voila - a working phone again.
    5 - reinstall your backed up data.
    I was extremely worried that the phone would reboot during the firmware upgrade process and ruin the process and **bleep** up the upgrade rendering the phone useless. However, I've latterly learnt that all functions on the phone are disabled by the Nokia upgrade process so it should be fine during the upgrade process.
    This is the only solution - it's all Nokia will do unless it's a warranty claim, so you might as well as do it yourself.

    Ever since I updated my phone to the iOS 8 and iOS 8.0.2 the phone gets blocked, sometimes I can't answer calls, sometimes it leaves applications while I'm still using them. it takes time to reacts to what I'm typing, the autocorrect is very anoying it imposes corrections u have to accept them then erase the word again and rewrite it the way you want.
    I Encouraged all my friend to update; and now wether they have the 4s or more recent devices  the yare all blaming me for what is happening to their phones

    I get better 3G signal after the last update and in some areas where I used to get 1 or 2 bars maximum, now I get 3 and it is not dropping like before.

  • The most frustrating program I've ever used

    This is my second go around with itunes and can't believe a company whos latest ad campaign focuses on how simple the apple computer is to use could actually release this piece of garbage. I consider myself to be an advance user and have loaded files on to every conceivable type of portable media device without issue with total ease. Trying to load or delete files is an absolute nightmare. Please don't tell me to read the manual because I have read the very minimal information in the manual and it does not explain one iota of how to use this program. Very dissapointing, I am seriously thinking of returning my 30g video and buying a zune or a zen.

    It has always worked right, out of the box. HOWEVER, I have to admit I am still using iTunes version 6 because it DOES work right and I have found no reason to update to version 7 since v6 ain't broke for me. So there is that chance that going to version 7 could result in trouble, but I am wimping out and sticking with stable ol' version 6.

  • More Issues with 8.0.1 and 8.0.2 than ever had before

    Since updating my iPhone 5S (T-Mobile) to both 8.0.1 and then 8.0.2 I've had more issues than I've ever had with any iOS in the past (with the exception of iPhone 4 running iOS 7, but clearly that is an older phone, not a 1 year old model like the 5S). Have tried resetting, powering off, etc too by the way.
    Here is the list of things I've had coming up as issues:
    - Safari Video Playback (Constantly buggy, either never loads, or when it does scrubbing through video is like a broken record)
    - Graphical glitches with top screen (Clock / battery portion) always appearing layered over other programs when it shouldn't be.)
    - iMessage ( SMS and MMS to non-iOS users takes SEVERAL or MORE attempts to deliver even with 4G/LTE on)
    - Mail - When new mail messages arrive in inbox the Notification pops up DELAYED, along with the delayed alert sound (sometimes occurs in Messages/Texts)
    - Notifications pop up and sometimes stay on the screen longer than usual (is this a new feature / suppose to be helpful? It isn't.)
    - Keyboard Graphical issues (when typing in text boxes in emails or websites, the keyboard cursor becomes delayed and has to catch up with my keystrokes)
    - Overall slightly slower (again I know iOS 8 is optimized for whatever the newest hardware is out (iPhone 6), but is there really that much of a difference in hardware between the 5S and 6 that makes this version of iOS 8 so buggy on my phone?)

    You received incorrect information from AT&T.  You can indeed access your voicemail without your iPhone.
    Call AT&T at (800) 331-0500 (assuming you're in the U.S.).  This is a 24 hour a day, 7 day a week number.  Ask them how to access your voicemail.  Normally, you would just do this by dialing your number from another phone, typing "*" once your voicemail recording starts, and entering your password.  You don't know your password, so it's probably the last four digits of your phone number or perhaps the seven - or ten-digit phone number.  Let the AT&T person tell you.

    Just make sure you are typing the right password when DM ask you for it. What I mean is that if your password include numbers you must type in the corresponding letter on your computer keybord...
    It's is a common mistake...
    Now, is your phone asking you for your password or for a SIM card PIN? If you entered your password too many times as the phone was asking for a SIM card PIN it is probably asking for a PUK (sometime called a personal unlock key). Call your service provider tech support, they are the only one that would have your SIM card PUK to help you...
    Until you reach them you can always remove your SIM card (assuming that's your problem...) to be able to use the phone (assuming you're in North America on a CDMA network...).

    I know a lot of people with iphone 5 and have never heard them complain about top button always brake and screen that decides to pop off or the back of their case is bending.
    That sounds like a phone that has been dropped a numerous times.
