Move-ADObject errors on DistinguishedName on some user accounts.

Hi, I have this code below. Strange behavior I'm seeing in our AD environment. Some users are moved into the correct OU and some get an error. Why would I get the below error on only some accounts and not all? I tried putting quotes around the $DN and $OU
but that didn't seem to help. Thanks

I don't recommend using the .NET Substring method to determine portions of a distinguished name. With Substring it is difficult to ensure that embedded commas are handled correctly.
It's much better to use the Pathname object (IADsPathname interface). I provided a PowerShell script wrapper for the Pathname object in this article:

Error occured while saving the user account information

I'm trying to install LiveCycle ES 2 with PDF Generator on a Windows 2008 server wtih SQL Server 2005. When I run the configuration manager I get an error in the step where you add the administrator user credentials for generator. The error I'm receiving is ALC-PDG-080-032-Error occured while saving the user account information. Has anyone seen this issue before? Any ideas on what the problem may be?

Going back some time, another user (do not recall Matrox on the system) had a similar issue. The workaround in that case was to use Save_As and just increment the file name. Now, I do not recall any real "fix," and for another user, the Save_As resulted in the same behavior, so it was not a universal workaround.

Oracle Support told me that I need this patches because of some other problem (generating wsdl and deploy for BOM_BO_PUB package does not work in my environment) and since that, the process_item call stopped working!

Dear Techies,
We have registered an Extra Information Type as self service OAF page and did some validations using user hook which are working fine. But for some requests EIT creation page is throwing below errors.
1. Encountered an error while getting the ORACLE user account for your concurrent request. Contact your system administrator.
2. An unexpected situation occurred while executing routine FND_DATA_SECURITY.GET_SECURITY_PREDICATE_HELPER.The cause was: The parameter 'p_object_name' cannot be 'GLOBAL'.
System throws these errors whenever user hook suppose to throw our customized validation messages.Since we are at UAT instance, we are bouncing apache and oacore to get rid of these errors every time they appear. But we cannot bounce once it is moved to production.
Kindly share some ideas to fix these errors as we are very close to Go-Live and we are facing this issue with all EIT's and SIT's.

Thanks for reply.
I have gone through the link that you have suggested. But our EIT user hook validations doesn't have any code related to submission of concurrent programs. More over our error is not stable. If we bounce the apache and oacore, the system will work fine without unexpected errors for some time. We are not even able to replicate these errors.

By Disabling the trigger , what would be the impact ? I mean does we are going to loose the data that was supposed to be updated the trigger.

Getting a error when workflow for some users

Hi, yes I'm confused as well. I ran it from the RID master (just to check) and the cmdlet isn't even recognized. Move-Item and Move-ItemProperty are the only two cmdlets available to me. Running it locally as an administrator give the error
that the object's parent is either uninstantiated or deleted (which brought me to this page). The link of 'movetree' won't work since we're not a 'native' mode domain so it looks like ADMT will be my saving grace. I'd really like to use the
Move-ADObject since it is a smaller, simpler script less likely for error but I'm just not hitting the correct combination of variables.

Can you move websites published on from a Single User account to Team account?

Need some help we had a single user account with which all our websites were hosted for clients, then we upgraded the whole studio to the Team Package, but need to know if we can cancel the single user licence and move the current live sites in that account to our team account? There is a ~/Library/Mail/ and this has a subfolder of /AccountTypes, so full path is ~/Library/Mail/AcountTypes
I have 6 active email accounts over 20000 mesages and send and receive constantly. Until upgrading to Lion I was able to see the directory contents you mentioned and used to backup the .mbox files etc as required and everything was good.
Now Nothing, hence my confusion
Any ideas? Am loathed to delete complete drive as even though I have a timemachine backup and could also generate a diskimage file am just not happy

Problem with some user accounts receiving email

We are running Exchange 2003 and having our end users get their email via Outlook Web Access on their Blackberry devices, and are having a problem with just some users. When we go into BIS, we can setup their account just fine, but they never receive any e-mails. They can send e-mails fine also. We have done the following tests:
1. I have setup my AT&T Curve to check my e-mail, works fine.
2. I have three users I'm currently using as my "test group" since this problem began. Two using Verizon Storms, and one using a Verizon Bold. All three can send e-mail fine, one of the storm users can check e-mail, but not the other two.
3. I have setup these accounts on my (known working from test 1) Blackberry Curve, and get the same results. I cannot receive e-mail on either of those two accounts.
I don't see any errors in any logs (unless I am looking in the wrong place). I've even gone throught adsiedit and compared the msexch* settings and they all seem comperable. Any ideas as to what could be causing this?

On the devices browser options, are these settings all identical?

Move files and settings from admin to user account

I used to do my daily work in the only admin account on my Mac. For safety reasons, I'd prefer to do my daily work in a user account (that is, in an account with less privileges).
* How do I move all my data and preferences from the admin account into the new user account? Will I need to copy some fonts and applications? How to adjust the access right?

The easy way is to create a new administrator account, logout out of the old one, login to the new one, and use the "Accounts" system preference to turn off the administrator privilege of the old account. The old account should then be used for normal work.

"Bad request" errors in Firefox with second user account

Yesterday, I set up a second user account for my husband to use. Everything seems to work fine with one annoying exception. When Firefox 3 is used as the browser under the new user account, I get frequent "Bad Request" errors with various web mail programs (MobileMe, GMail, Earthlink's web mail).
This does not happen when the same Firefox 3 is used under my original user account. It also does not happen when performing the same functions with Safari under the new user account. It also doesn't seem to matter whether Fast User Switching is enabled or disabled.
I have tried clearing caches, deleting cookies, deleting preferences etc. in the second user's Firefox, all to no avail. Anyone have any other ideas?
I guess one thing I'm a little unclear about... is the second user actually using the same Firefox app as the first user? If so, would there be a way to install a 2nd Firefox app that would only be for the second user? I'm just thinking maybe there is some kind of conflict going on?
Any thoughts or help out there much appreciated!

I think I figured it out. I found an article online that said if you have Parental Controls enabled on an account (which I did on the second user account), it will not allow Firefox to write cookies, thus causing the "bad request" errors.
This is not exactly true, as Firefox under the new user DID seem to be writing cookies just fine. However, when I disabled Parental Controls on the account, suddenly the errors went away. So, it doesn't have to do with cookies, but there is something about having Parental Controls turned on that can cause these errors.

Move Entourage messages to Mail in diferrent user account

I have two user accounts on my MacBook and need to move Entourage messages from one account to Apple Mail in the 2nd account. What is the easiest way to do this?

Some user Accounts have no "status" string when using Get-ADUser command.

I encountered a problem. When I tryed to get list of all disabled accounts in the AD, I used the command Get-ADUser -Filter 'Enabled -eq $false' .
But i recieved a list of users which is not full.
So I checked again and compared 2 accounts, both a disabled but one had a "Status" string, and the second had not.
In gui Snap-in all Disabled accounts marked as disabled.
So I can' t get a list of disabled users right now.

In App Purchase An unknown error has occurred with test user account

I have created a test app that has in app purchasing. I am able to connect to the store and verify my product ID's. I then use my test user account to purchase a product. And guess what... it works... the first time. If I try to use the test user account to buy another product (the same product or a different one) then I get a pop up that says
"An unknown error has occurred"
with a "Cancel" and "Retry" option. If I retry then I get the same error. After hitting cancel I get the error:
Error Domain=SKErrorDomain Code=0 UserInfo=0x161180 "Cannot connect to iTunes Store"
Any ideas?

I am having the same problem with my test account on multiple versions of iPhones. Any idea? Would this error affect real users?

Move-ADObject errors on DistinguishedName on some user accounts.
