  • Radeon HD 5770 graphics card works perfectly with my MAC Pro 1,1 and Adobe CS6. However, Photoshop CC won't read the card drivers and says I need to reinstall them and disabled 3D funtions as a result. Anyone else with this issue?

Radeon HD 5770 graphics card works perfectly with my MAC Pro 1,1 and Adobe CS6. However, I upgraded to Adobe CC and Photoshop CC disabled some filters and 3D functionality. The preference panel for Performance/Graphics Card in Photoshop CC is greyed out and inaccessible and shows this message -
"Photoshop detected an error in your display driver. Update or reinstall the driver and check Use Graphics Processor to retry."
I still have Photoshop CS6 installed and it still works perfectly. Anyone else with this issue? Is there a driver update for this compatable with my setup?

after going round with this Adobe was able to find the fix....opened the "show content" folder for the application Photoshop CC (control click on the application folder) and navigate to the sniffer file and rename it by putting a tilda ~ in front of the name..." ~sniffer ", close and open PhotoshopCC...and voila, problem solved... • Will the new ATI graphics card work on PowerMac G5 Quad?

    Hello,
I'm having a problem with my PowerMac G5 Quad, simply the graphics card is at fault. The rest of the machine is in perfect working order. I need a new graphics card and i've searched ebay (UK) and found some products. However, I would like a new graphics card with a little more power.
As I develop code using the OpenCL API on the windows machine, I would like to transfer this process over to my Mac (have to install OpenCL API myself, as Leopard does not have native OpenCL support). More importantly, OpenCL supports selected GPU types i.e. latest GPUs from ATI/Nvidia.
Simply put, would anyone know or have experience installing the newer ATI/NVIDIA generation of Mac Graphic cards on PowerMac G5 Quads and if so, which graphic card (ATI RADEON 4850 etc).
As I think about this, both PowerMac G5 Quad and Mac Pro utilise PCI-E and yes, even though graphics cards are not particularly interchangeable on different architectures (or are they?) I would just like to know if anyone can give me advice or if anyone has had success or failure at such an attempt.
I really cannot afford to buy a Mac Pro machine and there is still many years of life left in my PowerMac G5. I really need your help and advice friends.

    Hi-
    Welcome to Discussions!
No modern card will work in a G5.
The best that one can do in a PCIe graphics G5 is to use a flashed Geforce 7800 GTX 512MB card.
That card is the pinnacle of GPU power for a G5.
There are no options beyond that.
Here is a full, "short" list of options:

  • Will this graphics card work with Premiere CS5.5

We're running a Mac Pro 2 x 2.93 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon, 32GB Ram, 10.6.8 and we're looking to move from Apple's FCP to Premiere CS5 but noticed in Adobe's systems requirements on graphic cards the following:
Adobe-certified GPU card for GPU–accelerated performance; visit www.adobe.com/go/premiere_systemreqs for the latest list of supported cards
Here's the list of cards for Mac:
GeForce GTX 285 (Windows and Mac OS)
Quadro FX 4800 (Windows and Mac OS)
Quadro 4000 (Windows and Mac OS)
I don't see any ATI cards and we have a top of the line ATI Radeon HD 4870 this the work station. (link of card specs below)
    http://www.amd.com/us/products/desktop/graphics/ati-radeon-hd-4000/hd-4850/Pages/ati-radeo n-hd-4850-specifications.aspx
Does anyone know if the ATI Radeon HD 4870 will work or are there any limitations?

    Martin Jordan wrote:
So you're saying that the "Quadro 4000 (Windows and Mac OS)" is the best choice to upgrade from my ATI card?
If you're doing things that will take advantage of the hardware within PPro, then yes.  But before you open your wallet, make sure what you're doing will be able to take advantage of the CUDA processors.

If I boot in safe boot no problems!
The machine does Boot and it shows up on the network, just no video
    Attempts
I have swapped the card to another machine (card works no problem)
Removed all other PCI cards from machine (no difference)
Created new user "troubleshooting" tried to boot in to troubleshooting's user account (Same message on screen "Input Not Supported")
    Zapped P & V RAM
Replaced 3.6V Battery on mother board

So I got a clue and did a clean install, that did the trick!
I still have the question as to the how's and why's of what went wrong.
I imagine a corrupt file, but I would have guessed that making a new user, or an Archive and Install would have cleared that up.
    Go figure
But yes it is working now!
And I say Thank God I was looseing a lot of time trying to figure it out!

  • I don't know what graphics cards work in my mac!

    Hi!
I want to upgrade the graphics card in my 2006 Intel imac but I don't know what cards will work.
    my specs are:
      Processor Name:          Intel Core Duo
      Processor Speed:          2 GHz
      Number Of Processors:          1
      Total Number Of Cores:          2
      Memory:          2 GB
      Graphics Card: ATI Radeon X1600

This is what I thought also. But, FWIW, someone in a similar thread in which I posted the same answer as Kappy, replied as follows:
This is not true iMacs use an mxm card it's also used in many laptops. You can buy cards on eBay and such and replace them my mxm 8800gs failed (really a gts) and I bought a used one with a ati 2600? Been a while so I'm not sure of the ati number. I did remove the card and put it in my iMac. I hate the urban myth that you can't change a card in an iMac is it's just not so. I do believe it has to be an apple card though and you might want to watch model compatibility.

Okay, so i bought my GT683 back at July 2012.
a month ago, my laptop started having BSOD, i went to the MSI store and have them check my laptop, and they fixed it, they said that the RAM was causing the BSOD and they put in new RAM.
When i got my laptop back, the graphics card started to show bad performance.
Even NBA2k13 runs very badly, which is a game that should be running real smooth on my specs.
I even lag on GTA San Andreas.
What do you guys think is the problem? You guys think i need to go get my laptop and bring it to the MSI store again?
    Thanks
and oh yeah, when i click on the Turbo, it doesn't light up too, even though i installed the updated driver for it..
still have warranty ? go back to the store ..since this laptop has good specs and should be able to run gta san andreas on the max settings without errors ?
do you have manny fps drops while playing or ?

  • Does the graphic card IBM GXT6500P fit in the PwrMac G5 ?

I want to know if the operating system (Snow Leopard) will work correctly with the "graphic card GXT6500P of IBM" in the PCI-X connector.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
I highly doubt that it will work. That graphic isn't installed in any Intel-based Mac, and Snow Leopard is an Intel-only OS X version, so it won't work

  • Will the XFX Radeon R7750 2gb Core-Edition graphics card work in the 2006 mac pro?

I purchased this graphics card and was wondering if it'll work in the early 2006 model mac pro. This mac pro has 2x3GHz Dual-Core Intel xeon cpu, 4gb 667 MHz DDR2 FB-DIMM RAM, ATI Radeon X1900 XT 512MB graphics, and has OS X Lion installed. Thanks!
I also have an EVGA 600watt power supply, can this also be installed?

  • Does this Graphics Card run Photoshop's 3D Feature smoothly

Hey guys! I was building a new PC and wanted to know that if the graphics card that I would be using would run Photoshop CC's 3D functionality smoothly or not? The graphics card is Nvidia 750Ti 2GB DDR5 Graphics Card.
    Thanks for your time :)

Update your graphics driver, if that's possible. If it's a desktop computer, the smart thing to do would be to buy a dedicated NVidia or AMD card and turn off the intel stuff. Even the cheapest ones wil lbe better than that nightmare. Otherwise there's nothing you can do.

  • Does this wireless card work with leopard

I was just wondering if anyone has this wireless card working on os x leopard?:
    http://www.macwireless.com/html/products/wirelesscards/11g_11bcards/11gPCI.php
It says it is tiger compatible - but then also says tiger or "higher". I wrote the company selling it but just wondered if anyone is already using it out there .
    Thanks,

    Hi there!
You need to be sure that this card supports the broadcomm chipset, as this will allow the card to be recognized as an airport extreme device, otherwise you might have to hunt for a compatible driver for the mac.
You are better off with the G+ card from Belkin. The model of my card is a Belkin F5D7001 with the broadcomm chipset. You might have to do an in depth search to make sure that you find the right one.

  • Does any sd card work with the lighning to sd card reader and is it compatible with the iPod touch 5

Does anyone know if its compatible???????

    Jo,
Since you mentioned 500MHz, I imagine you have the Powerbook (FireWire) M7572 "Pismo". If so, it can use an original AirPort card installed under the keyboard; this is the only card that will work. You can see a PDF here:
    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=50028
This card is the slower 802.11b (11Mbps) and is supported by Apple's AirPort software in both 9.x and 10.x. However, since the card is no longer made, vendors are charging $100 and higher for used cards.
You can also add a third-party WiFi PC card to the PCMCIA/CardBus slot on the left side of your Pismo. The card below is fully supported by Apple's AirPort software in 10.2.8 and newer but will not work under 9.x. It is also the faster 802.11g 54Mbps speed.
    Here is the Buffalo WLI-CB-AG54 AirStation 802.11 b/g/a 54MBps Wireless PC-Card:
