Mr21 and mr22 hitting material cost or price difference

Hi everyone,
if i make changes in MR22 or MR21 for both map item and standard price item, will the price change or will hit price difference?
thanks

Hi,
The price change is MR21 will triggers to BSX and UMB keys.

  • Changing the MAC Price (MR21 and MR22)

    Hi Experts
May you please help explain the accounting impact of chaging the MAC price of a material using transaction MR21 or MR22. Also, what is the difference between these two transactions.
Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hi there,
There's not exactly any major difference between MR21 and MR22 as both are used to revaluate the inventory.
Regarding the impact on the moving average price, it will be changed to the new price defined while update with either MR21/MR22.
An accounting document will be there which will debit the inventory revaluation account and credit (reduce) the inventory trading account. This comes under "BSX" price change for mapping the G/L account.
I hope, this answer your question.

  • Posting Taxes to Material cost - When price control is S - Standard Price

    Hi Experts,
i have a material which is maintained with price control S. the material is having an info record with tax code I1 (5%), conditon type JP3E. when i am doing GR and IR, the tax amount is getting posted to a different G/L account. But not adding to material cost. Is it possible to add this tax amount to material cost, when price control is S.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ravi

    Hi Poorna,
    Check transaction event key,
if it is std key 'NVV' it shold post to material cost.
or check in OBCN ur transaction key showing posting indicatpor '3' Distribute to relevant expense/revenue items.
Hope this will solve your problem.

  • Cost of price difference and cost of goods sold

    Dear All,
I got the explanation from forum :
The price variance differences are posted per purchased item which are used in making the material to be sold. this difference rolls to the COS line, but not the COGS account.
May I know what is the difference of cost of goods sold and cost of sales. Both also cost, cost of goods sold is inventory turned to cost upon goods sold whereas cost of sales, to me, can be indirect cost.
Any help to further explain of COS in relation to price variance?
    Thanks

    Hi
In SAP there is a concept of COGS, but there is no concept of COS.. COS is more of a accounting terminology,... There are different schools of thought on COS/... Some companies treat COS = COGS + Selling overhead...
With Material Ledger, the variances of components purchased can be rolled up to the Header Material which consumes them.... If this header mat is consumed in further processes, the consumption can also be revaluated.... Going So on and so forth, you can also revaluate the COGS of the final material....
Simply said, when variances are rolled up, you can revaluate the inventory... If the inventory is consumed before revaluation, then you can revaluate Consumption / COGS....
    Hope this helps

  • Network material cost planning price entry without using moving average

    Hi,
When adding the stock material (internal activity) to a network activity the system takes the moving average price of the material.
How can we enter the material AND the price for cost planning?
Note: The reason is that the material being procured may cost more than the moving average price on the system. When a user gets a quote for the material they'd like to enter the quoted buying price instead of the system taking the moving average.
    Thanks
    Kru

    Hi,
Normally System allow to Edit Material -  Price/Currency  field in network planning instead of  moving average price.
Please check it may greyed out for edit.

  • Price difference in MAP material

    Hi,
I am taking a material which is managed Batch wise and split valuation is active, while valuation type is moving average price.
when doing the goods issue for the material, it is hitting the entry in Price difference account..
But when I am reversing the same GI document, it does not hit the Price Difference account. It loads the Price difference on inventory.
but requirement is that, during reversal of goods issue it should post the PRD account by whatever amount was posted in PRD account during Goods Issue.
Please help me out, how to solve this. By any means, can we post the entry in PRD when material is managed by MAP.
    Thanks,
    Varun

    Hi,
Material A is batch managed with split valuation active. In the material master valuation type  MAP is maintained.
When doing the Good Receipt of this material with quantity 1, with 475 $, MAP changes to 475$ for newly generated batch valuation.
When doing the Goods Issue at 300$ with quantity 1, inventory account is credited by 300$, and 175$ is debited to Gain/loss account.
When reversing this GI document, material account is debited by 475$. But my requirement is that, it should debit material account by 300$ only and 175$ should be credited to Gain/loss account.
Hope, now I am able to clear my requirement.
    Thanks,
    Varun

  • Unplanned del cost vs price diff

    hi,
may i know when to use unplanned del cost and when to post to price difference during invoice creation in miro?
assuming this is not unplanned cost for planned delivery cost (Indicator: Goods Items/Delivery Costs/Both) but this is goods/service item at the line item where with reference to PO.
so how do i know i need to post to unplanned delivery cost or price difference when there is a difference amount in invoice against PO.
    thanks

When there is difference in unplanned delivery like some freight amount which was not there during the PO creation and GR but due to some reason u have to pay the freight amount to vendor. so his unplanned delivery cost. when u book unplanned delivery cost it is upto u to book the cost to some different gl or distribute the cost propstionatly to all the line item.
Price difference amount is posted first in case of MAP when there is not enough stock to load this amount. so then the cost is book to price difference account. when total stock to invoice is present in system then amount is loaded on material. In case of stanadrd price if the PO price is diffferent then difference in price is loaded in price difference account.

  • COPA - Planned Material Cost not appearing in KE30 report

    Hi all
In COPA planning, I manually planned the Material cost (Material External Price) along with the Sales Quantity and Revenue for two company codes (one plant in each co code). But in KE30 report, I could see the material cost (MEP) values only for one company codeplant. What could be the issue?
I even tried valuation in KEPM. Valuation step is calculating and populating the material cost in KEPM, but the values are not flowing to KE30 reports. And this happens to only one of the two company codes.
    Thanks
    Vamsi

    Hi Vamsi
Please check table CE2XXXX, where XXXX = Op Concern.... Here, can you see the plan line items??
If yes, then the issue is with your report definition in KE30... May be you are restricting values display in KE30 report by virtue of your selection parameters

  • Price difference in the latest invoice document and the last change to

    Hi gurus,
This is regarding the price difference of the latest invoice document price with respect to the price of last time the document was invoiced.Without using the customer exit or back-end developement. need info if this can be done on the front-end using the front-end tool bex designer using the CKF, RKF , Variables or conditions etc
say for instance the user wants to get the price differences with respect to the invoices for a certain period that is from 01/01/2008 to 06/30/2008( dynamic entry can be any range).
Once the user enters the range for the billing document date as 01/01/2008 to 06/30/2008 the query should return the report as
Sold-to(customer) Material, Bill doc date and the price difference. these are the four columns  the users needs in the report.
now the bill-doc date will the latest invoice date for the sold-to & material, but the price difference will be the price of the last invoice date(for the sold-to , material)  - the latest invoice date price.
    Example. between 01/101/2008 - 06/30/2008
    customer : 2765 , material : XAWE33636FD this particular customer-product had 3 invoices on 02/15/2008 , 04/18/2008 and 06/03/2008.
    price on 02/15/2008 : $1.09
    price on 04/18/2008: $1.87
    price on 06/03/2008: $3.84
so the report should look like
customer        material                bill doc date       price diff
    2765            XAWE33636FD        06/03/2008           3.84- 1.87( latest invoice price - last invoice price)
    Thanks
    appreciate responses

    Hi,
I think you will need at least some backend devlopment for this first and foremost being mapping the invoice date from souce to the Bill date.
Getting price difference is not an issue as much as tracking dates. I think you will need a counter to track the last invoice date which really needs ABAP coding
An exit would be much easier to have this functionality rather than to create RKF's and CKF's
I will update you in case any better idea strikes.
    Good luck

  • How can I determine material costs for a sales order

    We are using 11.5.10..2
For sales orders that have shipped and details of which are stored in OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL, OE_ORDER_LINES_ALL and WSH_DELIVERY_DETAILS,
I would like to determine the material costs that have been incurred for that order.
I am guessing I will have to find the WIP order that has been created in response to that sales order and find the material costs for that WIP order.
However, I am not sure which tables should I look at in WIP or Costing
I would appreciate some hints i.e. the tables that could have this information.
    Regards
    Manav
Any help on the above question would be appreciated.

If this is not too late:
If you have cost elements then you can use this.
    select .....
    where
    mtl_material_transactions.txn_source_line_id=oe_order_lines_all.line_Id
    and mtl_material_transactions.transaction_type_Id=33
    and mtll_material_transactions.transaction_id=MTL_CST_TXN_COST_DETAILS.transaction_id
    and oe_order_lines_all.line_id=&your_line_Id
    and MTL_CST_TXN_COST_DETAILS.cost_element_id=&your_element_Id_for_material;
if you do not need cost elements
you can just use mtl_material_transactions.transaction_cost to get that transaction's cost.

  • Price Difference during GR

    Hi,
I have a material on Moving Average Price which was extended to a new plant that was configured. During GR, some amount of significant value is posting to the Variance account. This is the first GR for the new plant and also the first material to be posted. How can a variance account be hit during the GR process ? There is no differnece is quantity between PO and GR. Also the amount is correct. The question of shortage of stock does not arise in this case at all.
Is there any reason why Variance account is hit during GR other than Price and quantity differences?

    Hi
The reason for price difference is the price difference between PO price and Mvg avg price.
If this is not the case, in the extended plant if the price control is std cost, the price difference between the price mentioned in the price control and the PO might be the variance.

  • PRD-Auto Post price differences to different price difference accounts

    Dear all,
As I know, in Account Automatic Posting, the transaction key  PRD is for Cost price Difference.
If I want to post price differences to different price difference accounts in the case of goods receipts for different cost in purchase orders, How can I configure it?
Example, in PO, there is 2 costs: Freight (F) and Insurance(I) are key in as Condition Type.
I would like to post price difference from F to account XXX, and  price difference from I to account YYY.
    Can I configure like this?
Thank you very much for your support!
    Cao Huy

    Hello,
    What is price difference.
Price differences arise for materials valuated at standard price in the case of all movements and invoices with a value that differs from the standard price. Examples: goods receipts against purchase orders (if the PO price differs from the standard pricedardpreis), goods issues in respect of which an external amount is entered, invoices (if the invoice price differs from the PO price and the standard price).
Price difference in genereal will not trigger for the materials with price control V ( Moving average price) but however
Price differences can also arise in the case of materials with moving average price if there is not enough stock to cover the invoiced quantity. In the case of goods movements in the negative range, the moving average price is not changed. Instead, any price differences arising are posted to a price difference account
For you example, you have you are having PO with Freight (F) and Insurance(I), these are called pallned delivery costs, not Price difference,
so create two different condition type for Freight and insurance and assign two different G/L accounts for these condition types in account determination.
While posting system will hit perticular G/L acconut.

  • Change Multi-Level Price Difference Process Category

    Hello ML Gurus,
    We have a situation
Our I2P team has certain process orders that are recursive -- header material the same as component.  (These are NOT rework order types, but standard process order type PR01).  In the beginning, they posted GR as process category "Receipts", and GI as process category "Consumption". This resulted in cyclical error during CKMLCP.  When we cut off connections and ran, it left a huge price difference as "Not Allocated".
To circumvent this problem, I2P used a BADI to change the process category for the consumption to "Receipts".  Everything was ok, until the monthend.  When we do the Multi-Level Price Determination, the price difference gets posted to Consumption only, and since the original consumption is moved to "Receipts", the entire price difference is now "Not Allocated".
We think we can fix this by changing the process category for the multi-level price difference to "Receipts" also.
Is there a way to do it?  Any BADI, User Exit, Enhancement -- anything?
Also, this is not a pretty design....do you have a suggestion for improving the overall process?  We used to have a Product Cost Collector and post these consumption and then settle them monthly, but we lost traceability for the batches so we cannot and do not use them.
    Appreciate your help.
    Cheers,
    TD

    Hi,
Basically single level price determination calculates periodic unit price based prices differences for that material alone is considered
Multilevel price determination considers its own differences as well those of the input materials.
Hence single level price determination is a prerequisite for multilevel determination

  • Transaction Key for freight price differences while invoicing?

    Hi all,
Which is the transaction key (of the OBYC) in case of freight price differences while invoicing?
I mean, in case of price differences of the below entry, which is the transaction key for those differences?
    Purchasing freight account     FRE
    Thanks!

    Hi,
I will explain how accounts will hit for the Freight.
    1)
At the time of MIGO Inventory account debit
                                  Freight Inward account Credit.
At the time of Invoice  Vendor account Credit
                                      Freight Inward account Debit.
    2)
If u r not done MIGO for Freight(Means u r not included Freight cost at the time MIGO in PO) so at the time of Invoice
                               Vendor account Credit
                               Inventory account debit
2A)If at the time of Invoice verification Material not available in the stock that time it will hit
    Vendor account Credit
    Price difference Account debit

  • MRKO with price difference

    Hi,
We will use SAP consignment solution for vendor consignment, SAP using MRKO to sette the consignment stock, which not allow to change posting date and price difference.
Do you have experience for MRKOfor:
    1. Change posting date
    2. Change price
What developemnt need to be made?
    Thanks

    Hello!
For Material Movement with price difference, i find that most of the transactions posted in reply to this thread do not allow us to enter the amount externally.
You can use movement type 521 for posting a movement with price difference, by first issuing the material to the cost center and then receiving it by T. Code MIGO ->Goods Reciept -> Others and movement type 521.
If you find this helpful, please reward me with points!
