MRP w/o a sales order

Hello Guys,
I am working on an implementation project for a F&B business and there was a requirement to genearate forecast requirements thro' MRP in one of their HQ company for which it got about 300 stores located else where. MRP is based on their stores consumption of the past and expectations for the next 3 weeks. But the demand does not come through any Sales orders. But normally they have fixed delivery days in which their stocks are replinished from HQ company. Presently we have not decided how to handle these stores either as their internal customers or seperate plants? The only information we got is the stores have some POS system where their daily sales can be captured into SAP.
Could someone please advice me how the MRP can be calculated without a sales order? Can there be some way where we can input just the forecasted values? Or can we create a dummy sales order for each store so we will have the requirements and then ship them w/o booking a profit?
Many Thanks
Kelly

May be I forgot to mention, I need this information in a report program. So, I need a way to get this information by reading a table or from a combination of reading table and function module.

  • MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date

    Hi experts,
    We have below scenario:
Material has the stock 100. It has reorder point 3 and MRP type V2 (Automatic reorder point with external requirements) and planned delivery time 10 days.
MRP run creates purchase requisition whenever the stock falls below reorder level or/and based on customer orders requirements.
We created first sales order for Qty 80 and delivery date 03/01/2012.  Qty 80 is confirmed against this sales order.
We created second sales order for Qty 50 and delivery date 01/31/2012. Now remaining Qty 20 is confirmed against this order. So we have requirements of 30 Qty for this second order.
When we run MRP, it supposes to create Purchase requisition for Qty 33 (30 + 3) including reorder point (3 Qty). As the delivery date for this order is 01/31/2012 and requirement Qty is 30, and planned delivery time is10 days, MRP run should create purchase requisition. But it is not creating.
If I change the planned delivery time to 30 days, it is creating purchase requisition. It is considering sales order delivery date of First order (delivery date: 03/01/2012), but not for second order (delivery date: 01/31/2012).
So MRP is conflicting with Sales order requirement Qty and date.
Appreciate your help in this regard to resolve the issue
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi,
We are using manual reorder point planning with external requirements (V1)

  • MRP Requirements due to sales order rejected

    Hi,
I am using the strategy Assembly to order in an environment Make to Order.
When the sales department fill out the field reason for rejection with any value the system deleted the production order even it has the status release or has notification.
Does any one knows how to avoid this behavior in the system?
    Thanks in advanced.
    Regards,
    Isaias

How did you handle the requirements. Because if you do not type a rejection reason the system generate another production order for the sales order after you run the MRP.

  • PR are created automatically from MRP without Demand and Sales Order

    Hi experts,
I used Tcode ME5A to display PR list and i see some Perchasing Requisitions created from MRP. I checked Demand by tcode MD61 and Sale Order or Delivery Order by MD04 but i see nothing.
I don't know how can it happens. Pls give me the way to check it.
    Thank you,

if you dont see any reason, then the reason may not be present anymore.
E.g. the sales order got deleted.
In this case the next MRP run will automatically remove the requisition.
What are your settings in material master MRP view?  maybe you are below safety stock or reorder point.
you have to look into the requistion, what item category does it have, what accounting category. Only there you can see if the PR is related to sales order or any other order.

  • To generate planned orders throught MRP even without forecast/sales orders

Goor morning, we should send long term plan forecast to the suppliers, but in the system we're able to see just few weeks demand (lng term horizon is not still implemented). Do you think is possible to generate some planned order as MTS policy (based on the past consumption), even without any sales order or forecast inside the system? Tks in advance

    1) create a Plan IN MD61 with inactive version select the period as you want & enter  W- week in initial screen
    2) create a plan In MS31 and assign the created in active version plan in MS32 assign the plant and activate  independent requirement
    3) Run MRP in MS01, system will create a plan order for LTP
    4) and do the evaluation for created plan order in MS38.

  • MRP run for multiple sales order items

    Dear All !
In our business, in one sales order there are at least 40 -90 items. for MRP execution we have to do it line item by line item. Can it be done colletively for the sales order for all items.
    please help.

    Govinder,
There is no Sales order header level MRP, so the only option left is to run MD01 or MDBT background MRP.
    Regards,

  • MRP raising requirements for sales order

    Hello,
Here I am using strategy group 20 for header materials but for raw materials I would like to group together multiple requirements from many sales orders and raise one planned order for the same. Is there any way this can be achieved?
    Sincerely,
    Aji

for raw material maintain collective indicator in MRP 4 view, it will combine the requirement and give single plan order

  • Sale Order MRP Run for All Order Line Items

    Greetings...
I have One Sales Order , in which i have ten different Line Items .
Now I have to Run the MRP on basis of Created sales Order so that all Line items wi get consider insingle MRP Run on sales order base MRP Run.
How to take MRP Run of One Sale Order for all Line Items.???
In MD50 , we can have sales Order with Item..

In MD50 you can give only one item at a time.
Its a standard transaction meant to accomodate changes relevant for MRP after plant level MRP run  related to specific sales order Item.
so either you need to do it multipal times by changing material or you need to go for MD02.
Please explain bussiness case in detail why you want to restrict your MRP run for items in a specific sales order.

  • MRP type "VB" components generated dependent reqt. after MRP by sales order

Good morning to all SAP gurus
I hav scenario for mech. industry where we r going to implement MRP run , having FERT which is MTO scenario and " PD" MRP type.and its BOM components having MRP type "VB" with no strategy type. At MRP run after creating sales order system generated purchase requisition for components(ROH) depends on sales order requirements along with reorder point PR. So please help me system shouldn't generate PR depends on sales order requirements should create as per reorder point PR only.
EX.   To manu. 1 nos of FERT  (PD) required 1 nos of ROH (VB) . we r creating sales order of 10 nos. , reorder pt is 11 and
stock is 15. after mrp run system generated PR for 10 nos which is dependent for sales order.
Pls elaborate regarding above scenario. Thanks in advance.
    Regards
    siva

    Dear
Practically speakig , system should generate special stock PR as you are dealing with MTO sales order and MRP should plan the depedent requirement accordingly based on the MRP4 -Indiviaul and Collective Indicator -1 .
But , if you do not want to consider it as special stock  , then you need to assing MRP4 Individual and Collective Indicator -2  and run MRP MD02-2,1,1,3,3  .
In you case , you have already stock 15 pc  and ROP -10 , so system will not genreate any PR because , it will fullfill the requurement ( 10 PC FERT -10 ROH)  .Once the stock fall behind 10 , then it will trigger PR  .
    Hope this is clear

  • Mrp run without sales order

    Hi Experts,
I am running the MRP for a particular material ,and the material contains some sales order. I dont want the mrp to consider the sales order.
I have made the changes in
Strategy group from 40 to 10 in MRP3 tab.
Schedule line from cp to cn in vov5.
But still its considering the sales orders.
so can anybody suggest me what changes i should do?
    Thanks & Regards
    Bhargavi desai

    Bhargavi,
Change the schedule line category of the sales order schedule line to 'CN' in VA02 transaction and check.
Configuration changes do not change your earlier sales order data.
You always have option to selectively consider sales orders through BAdI implementation of MD_CHANGE_MRP_DATA method CHANGE_MDPSX_VBBE.

  • Sales Order Blocked for MRP

    Dear All
i hav a scenario for make to order where sales order created should default block for MRP,only authorized person should release the block
Please suggest how to do this
    Regards

    Hi Sugunan,
You can use default delivery blocks for your requirement.
IMG - Sales and Distribution - Basic Functions - Availability Check and Transfer of Requirements - Transfer of Requirements - Block Quantity Confirmation In Delivery Blocks - "Deliveries: Blocking Reasons/Criteria".
Here you have the option of creating new entries. For a particular delivery block you have multiple controls as under:
Sales order block - Indicates whether the system automatically blocks sales documents for customers who are blocked for delivery in the customer master.
Confirmation block - With this you can control in addition to blocking delivery, also block the confirmation of order quantities after an availability check during sales order processing. So MRP won't be affected because no requirements will be transferred to MRP even when the sales order is saved.
Printing block - Indicates whether the system automatically blocks output for sales documents that are blocked for delivery.
Delivery due list block - The system does not take a sales document with this block applied into account when creating a delivery due list. You can only create deliveries manually for sales documents with this type of block.
Picking block - block for picking goods in delivery.
Goods issue block - Will not allow goods issue if the block is active.
    1. I would suggest create a new delivery block with a suitable description & only tick on "conf."
    2. Go to VOV8 - select the document type - assign the delivery block.
Now whenever you will create a sales order with the specific document type, the system will propose the delivery block by default for all customers. If you check at the item level - schedule lines, the system will do the availability check. When you save the sales order, the block will function & the system will not transfer the requirements to MRP. Even if you run the MRP using MD50, the system will not generate the planned order.
If you assign the reason for rejection to the sales order item, then the system will show the status of that item as complete. If there is only 1 item in the sales order, then the system will change the status of the whole sales order as complete which is not recommended.
    With best regards,

  • Question on Schedule Line category in Sales Order not relevant to MRP

    Hi experts,
I want to know whether the sales order having any schedule line category like CP, CN, etc will not be relevant for MRP. In other words, If I do the MRP run for the Sales Order Requiremnt having any Schedule Line Category in particular will not generate any procurement proposals like Planned order/ Purchase Requisitions. Please advice me on the same.
    Regards
    Brijesh

    Dear Brijesh,
Please find some info related to scheduled lines below,
The various schedule line categories are controlled in different ways:
The schedule line AT in inquiries is used only for information.
No requirements are transferred and no availability check is carried out for the schedule lines BN and CN.
Requirements are transferred and the availability of the material is checked for the schedule lines BP and CP.
No stocks are managed for the schedule line categories BT, CT and CX. No goods issue is posted for the categories BT and CT. However, goods issue is posted for CX.
The schedule line categories BV and CV are controlled in the same manner as the categories BN and CN. However, requirements can be passed on for analysis purposes.
Goods receipt is posted for the schedule line DN in a returns document.
The schedule line categories CN, CP, CT, and CV are relevant for delivery; the other schedule line categories are not.
*Control Elements for Schedule Line Categories
Different schedule line categories are permitted according to the sales document type and item category you are using. You can use control elements to tailor the schedule line categories to meet the special demands of your installation. You can also define new schedule line categories.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks
