MS Project 2013 - Report Page Setup Bug

Hello
When I create a report in MS Project, for example a cash flow, I will setup the header and footer then save and print the file. When I return the gannt chart view or any other view then return to the report and re-print, the header and footer information
is no longer there.
I'm using MS project 2013 stand alone with no server integration, this is going to probably stop the wider use of this tool within our team as it's a pain. Does anyone know how to work around, or is this a known bug?

I'm trying to print multiple reports together, is there any way i can setup the print page setup ( headers and footers ) so that i don't have to set it up for each report?
another issue i'm having is also say i set a print page setup( header and footer) for a specific report, then i change to a different report, then when i go back to the first report to print again the page setup settings is gone!

This should be possible if you have applied headers and footers to a non-enterprise view, such as the Gantt Chart view, resource sheet view etc. In this manner we can retain the Header and Footer information in the project after
saving and closing it. (The header and footer information will be available only from the view in which you have applied it)
Hence, if we have customized the Header and Footer in the Gantt Chart view, you will be able to view the same in Resource Usage view.

Report Page Setup

Hi All
I am suing Oracle Reports 9i. I want to design report in Legal Page size i.e. 14 inch height and 8.5 inch width. but in the paper layout it gives me the letter size but when i am going to print on printer so it print on legal size. is there any way how i can use all space in design form so that i can place my controls on that area. I went into the page setup and change the size to legal but in design it still giving me the 11 inch height.

Project 2013 free trial setup.exe module doesn't work

I installed the Project 2013 free trial and it opened with 7zip, but now the issue is the setup.exe. When I click on it, I get an error message "The specified module could not be found". What do I do from here?

Hi There,
There might be some wrong file association or a module missing. I would suggest you to uninstall both Project 2013 free trial and 7zip and then first install Project 2013 and check if it works.
Once you are sure that Project 2013 trial works, you can install 7zip.

Ms Project 2013 report for resource name, tasks less than 100% complete within a date range I can set each time

I have seen I can create a report for a resource name with a specified date range, and one that can show me for a resource name any incomplete tasks, but I want to do the following and cant work out how to state it in the report constructor:
resource name equals - {I want to set a given resource in here}
% complete is less than 100%
start - date range is between [today -7 days] and [today +7 days]
Please can someone show me how this is possible, I know it will be and it is me that has been defeated!!

Oops, my bad. I missed the point that the Name field for assignment rows will be the task name and that's not what you want. There is also a glitch in the date range filter. So, here's how to fix that.
First, in the Resource Usage view, copy the Name field to Text1. Now select the resource line and do a fill down for all assignments under that resource. Do that for each resource. This could be automated with VBA, but for now, a manual setup should work
fine.
Second, instead of testing for the Name field in the filter, test for the Text1 field.
Third, change the Finish test to be "less than or equal to".
Now when you apply that filter, enter beginning date of your range and then the ending date of your range followed by the resource name. You should get the data you want.
Unfortunately formulas in custom fields are not as flexible in Project as they are in Excel. For example, in Project a formula can only operate on data for that row. Further, even if you use the formula Today() +7 for your filter criteria, the first time
the filter is used, Project will hard code today's date into the filter. The normal way around both of these shortcomings is to use VBA.

You can use the Usage views - task or resource to view the assignments across tasks, also, their timephased view gives you day-wise allocations for resource on the tasks. As a start-up you can refer to following links :

Project 2013: Report: List the tasks for each "individual" resource

Hi,
I wish to list the tasks that have been allocated to each individual. (Resource)
I can partly do this using the Report facilities (Task and Group by resource). BUT it does not group assignments for a resource if that resource is assigned to a task with multiple/other resources. Given that this product is based in Xcel - it would only
require the additional functionality of an "in" search ... this really a basic "error/misinformation" in a rather expensive product which I am presently evaluating.

All I simply want to achieve is a list of the tasks assigned to an individual and sort it by end date or start date .. not much to ask for. Basic really :)

Have you tried using the Resource Usage view? It lists all assignments by resource. No grouping needed.

Ps CS5 "Print Page Setup" dialog will not open

Hello: I was printing via my Photoshop CS5.
I accidentally created a paper size of 0cm x 0cm and attempted to print (up to this point Photoshop and Print worked).
I now (permanently) get an error message: "There was an error opening your printer. . . "
Photoshop >File >Print. . . will not open the Print Page Setup.
Photoshop >File >Print one copy (works, but still tries to print 0cm x 0cm, the printer spits out a blank page).
Using the (Mac/Apple) app 'Preview' I deleted the paper size preset '0cm x 0cm'.
apps; Preview, Text Edit, Mail, Word, . . . all print properly (they can open the 'Print Page Setup' dialog).
I set up two other printers (now three in total) and they work with all applications (except Photoshop).
I uninstalled and re-installed Photoshop and my printers, including all their preference files.
Also, I again deleted Photoshop preference files by opening Photoshop while pressing 'Shft-Opt-Cmd'.
In 'System Preferences' >Print & Fax >Printers; I reset my computer's "Printing System".
I repaired 'Disk Permissions', Safe Boot and have also done multiple restarts.
Since only Photoshop has a problem, I believe Photoshop has (somewhere) set a preference thinking it's default paper size is 0cm x 0cm which is throwing an error and preventing the 'Print Page Setup' from opening.
I updated Photoshop Adobe Air, Printers, . . . after re-installing.
I ran an app that clears my computer's caches.
I reinstalled (and updated) my computer's operating system (OS only, not my account and data).

The fix was one of the many suggestions I researched in the 'Adobe Help'.
    Unfortunately I dismissed this solution (until now).

Project Professional 2013: Reports / texbox BUG

I am using the reporting functions for a Project Status Report and found a quite annoying issue. As I need textboxes for general statements in my reports I discoverd that the navigation and correction keys (arrow-keys, backspace key, delete key, etc) are
always doing the corresponding action for 2 characters instead of only one. EG.: After writing "WORD" and positioning the focus (prompt) behinde the "D" and pressing backspace the "RD" is getting deleted.
I am using MS Projects Professional 2013 15.0.4551.1007. I could reproduce the issue on various installations.
Is there anybody who can confirm this behaviour or maybe has some informations about a bugfix?

Sadly, I can reproduce the error on both Project 2013 Click to Run and Project 2013 MSI with SP-1 installed. I will make sure that this post is brought to the attention of the folks from Microsoft. Sorry - I can't make any guesses about if/when
this may be fixed.

1. When I move the "sound on/off" button, I get it buzzing 10 times before the setting is changed and I can do anything else, just not reacting to the round button on screen touches.
2. Impossible to copy text from most websites into notes.
3. Impossible to delete an email account in settings.
4. Uses up the battery twice as fast as before. I have "update apps" setting turned off, just reading a couple of mails, making a couple of photos and open maps apps twice a day, and the battery is dead well before the evening.
5. Got extremely slow, and it was getting slower and slower with every system update.
I'm sure I forgot something... But well, that already a lot.

Well, actually number 3 in my list is not true any more, I just tried to delete my account 15 times, then I've written my post, then half an hour later my Settings finally updated my accounts list. Whohoo
I did not try restoring it yet, thank you for the link!

Unable To Print or Access Page Setup in Crystal Reports 2008

I have Win 7 32 bit, and installed Crystal Reports 2008 last week (v12.0.0.683 from the Help window).
Every time I open a report, and from the Preview tab clicking File -> Print, or File - > Page Setup, I immediately receive a Windows message that "Crystal Reports has stopped working". After a few seconds, another Windows message displays "Crystal Reports has stopped working - a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available". Then Crystal completely closes.
I downloaded sample reports from the BO website, and still receive the error, so I don't think it's the report.
When I view the Event Log, I see the following:

I have uninstalled and reinstalled CR 2008 multiple times and continue to receive the same error. I tried updating to SP1 (Version 12.1.0.892 Incremental) but I receive the following error: "A BusinessObjects product at a lower patch level is detected. The installation cannot continue. Please update all installed products to the SP1 patch level, then restart this installation".
Need to print my reports - any ideas?

Note the MS Kabse on where the printer registry is. Now the odd part is on one of my test development PC's it won't populate the Default User Printer list, only the Local User Printers. I take this same app to another PC and it works just fine. The register keys are there but for some reason on my Windows 7 64 bit it won't show them, the other strange part is I have full access to both keys. I have not been able to figure out why this happens...
I'm thinking this may be related to your issue.... But I don't have a solution, very strange... I've even gone into regedit32 and set full permissions on the various keys and it still doesn't work...
I have other VM-ware images if I need to get past that part for testing so I never drilled into why, I believe it has to be some Windows/Firewall/Anti-virus configuration or something our IT department pushed into my local Profile.... What that is I don't know unfortunately.
I'll do some looking and testing. You may want to post this on Microsoft forums as well.... Ask about printer permissions.

Unknown Error occur when trying to get a visual report - Project 2013

I have office 2013 home and student and ms project 2013. I am trying to get it to do visual reports and
all i keep getting is an error message saying an unknown error has occurred and the requested action cannot be completed at this time. help please if anyone knows a solution.
i got all the updates for Project and to Office.
the problem also occur on a different machine , with a different OS.
Please help ! , this is important feature of project that i must have working.

Project Server 2013 reporting database change in Schema from Project Server 2010

I have a current Project Server 2010 implementation, I am planning to migrate to Project Online.
We have Customized Reports that consume from the PS 2010 Reporting DB.
Are there differences in the Reporting DB schema between PS 2010 and Project Online?
My Question is: if we migrated to Project Online, will the reports crash?
Another question is that, is PS 2013 Reporting DB schema the same as Project Online?

IN project server 2013 we have only one database instead of 4, it means draft, archive, published and reporting with in one database.Project Server 2013 reporting database schema tool that can be downloaded.

There are differences in reporting of on-premises vs. Project Online
The Project Server 2013 reporting schema includes three new tables, 27 new views, and a total of 33 tables and views that include new fields.
Answer-1 : Yes there are some differences between PS 2010 and project Online.
Answer-2 : Reports will crash as In Project Online you have to use ODATA to create report. You can not query project online data for reporting directly you have to have use ODATA.

Bug Report: Page # and Icon Lost After Rename

I love the new file management features in version 10.3 but I noticed some problems right away.
After renaming a document, the current page position is lost and the document opens at page 1. This first one I renamed was a 400-page book and this was a bit annoying. I realize this is consistent with the desktop version which does not save the page position, but it is inconsistent with the iPad behavior for opening and closing documents. A fix or a warning should be implemented.
Also lost is the document icon, which reverts to a generic Reader logo. This is more of a cosmetic thing. I noticed the icon does not get restored after opening the document. It seems necessary to scroll down to page 2 for the icon to refresh.
