MSI AE2260(OR SIMULAR MODEL) RECOVERY DISCS NEEDED , WILLING TO PAY AND WILLING TO RETURN THEM
hi all can somebody please help
I have a MSI AE2260 TOUCH SCREEN ALL IN ONE PC
the lad I bought it off put a cracked version of windows 8 on it
and didn't run great as I think was full of spyware etc....
unfortunately he deleted the recovery partition in the process
although I have it back to windows 7
I am missing the infra red driver and the software for the tv tuner
I have downloaded the drivers for the tv tuner but I cant run it as I cant find the software nowhere
and would like to get it back to how it should be
so if anyone has the same pc or similar model number and can burn me a set
I would really appreciate it and even pay you for doing them
and if needed after backing them up myself will even be willing to send them back to them
my msi ae2260 has the windows sticker on the reverse so I don't need a serial number, just the recovery discs
hope somebody can please help
many thanks

Are you able to start in Recovery mode ?.   OS X: About OS X Recovery
If so, then after the language choice screen, click Utilities at the top of the screen & choose Terminal.
Once Terminal opens, type resetpassword  then press the enter key.
Choose your user from the list & follow the prompts to create a new password. Then restart the computer normally.
This won't allow you to update app store apps which the previous owner bought, but will let you install new software.
Ideally, you'd erase the HD & reinstall OS X yourself : you may be able to do that from Internet Recovery, but may need original install DVDs,
which Apple will usually supply for a small charge, if you call them with the serial number.

Have you been calling using a mobile phone?  If that's a toll free number it may be being blocked by your service provider.

  • Recovery Disc need for

Laptop has a Black screen 2 flashes at the caps key, tried all the suggestions on the forum nothing is working.
Sadly I dont have a recovery disc.
help needed please, where can I get one are they readily in stock?
    Thank you

    Hi there:
You can try Recovery using the built in Recovery partition present in HDD unless you've formatted or upgraded your laptop:
    http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01867418
The only other option left is to CLEAN INSTALL Windows 7 if your laptop came with Windows 7 pre installed & you can CLEARLY & LEGIBLY read all the 25 characters of product activation key printed in COA sticker on the back of the laptop:
    http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html
    http://www.w7forums.com/threads/official-windows-7-sp1-iso-image-downloads.12325/
    From your specs: http://support.hp.com/gb-en/product/HP-G56-100-Notebook-PC-series/4247525/model/4315390/document/c02...
I could understand that it came with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, so you can download the ISO from tutorial link given above and make bootable USB - which can be booted from and clean install done.
Additional drivers can be downloaded, copied to another usb and later on installed to system after clean install.

  • I have a "phothographer creative cloud" on a $9.99 per mounth payment membership. How can I switch to a per year model and how much will I pay every year for the "photographer creative cloud"?

    Any hints?!?!

    Hi Kev,
You can consider purchasing "Creative Cloud for Teams". It is recently announced by Adobe this month. You can purchase as many licences as you require.
    1. If you purchase 2 licenses, you will be Admin and you can add another email address as a User. So both will have access to Creative Cloud.
    2. User need not pay from their account, instead you(Admin) need to pay for both the licenses.
    3. You can purchase a One year commitment and pay every month.
This Creative Cloud for Teams is designed mainly for business. I guess this fulfills your needs.

  • (Resolved) Windows 8 - Recovery Discs Do Not Work With New Hard Drive

    Update:
I decided to buy drive cloaning software.  I cloned my drive, that resolved the problem of installing the OS on the new drive.  Too bad neither HP's Restore disc's or this support fourm could help with this issue.
    Origional Post:
    Product Name:  HP Pavilion G4-2235DX
    Product Number:  C3Q50UAR#ABA
    BIOS:  Insyde F.26, 2/21/2013
    Processor: AMD A6-4400M APU w/ Radeon HD Graphics, 2700 Mhz, 2 Core(s)
    BIOS Mode:  UEFI
    SMBIOS Version:  2.7
    RAM:  12GB
    Operating System:  Windows 8 - 64bit (6.2.9200 Build 9200)
Situation:  I purchased this computer new as a refurbished model from a retail store.  I created system restore discs after initial setup using the HP Recovery Media Creation Utility.  This system has a 500 GB hard drive.  I purchased a Western Digital 1 TB hard drive to upgrade the drive in this notebook.  After swaping out the drives and trying to load the recovery onto the new 1TB hard drive in the same computer, an HP dialogue so states "This PC is not supported by the System Recovery Discs. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs."  It gives a code (doesn't call it an error code) 0110-C3150UQ43#ABA underneath and only option is okay, the system reboots and follows the same pattern again and again.
I have upgraded drives in the past on Vista and 7 the same way using self created HP recovery discs with no issue, I do know what i'm doing.    I've seen discussion mentioning BIOS issues and other such problems.  I did try updating the BIOS to the one on the HP Support page (2013-03-01 , Version:F.26, 7.76M) and the recovery discs still will not work.  I found the CyberLink Recovery Discs Utility thread, however this solution/software has no support for Windows 8.  I have tried to run the utility and it fails, tried with compatiabity and it failed.  Why is this happening and what can be done to resolve this problem?
I tried using chat support but it won't let me get through to anyone, claiming my warranty is expired.  I just bought this computer 3 days ago and was assured a 90 day warranty.
    Please help, Thanks.

    Information on the warranty:
Refurbished computers are often erroneously marked as out of warranty, but it is simple to fix, and a phone representative could have corrected that for you. All computers' warranty start dates begin on the day they leave the factory. HP knows that there will be a period where the computer will sit on a shelf (for days or months) at the retailer. With refurbished computers, their 90-day warranties begin on the day they are refurbished. HP has no way of knowing what date the customer will buy the computer so the warranty start date stays the same until the customer registers the computer providing the date of purchase for the warranty system to be updated. If the registration process fails for some reason (rare, but it happens), phone technical support has a process they can initiate to have the warranty corrected. They only need a copy of the receipt showing the date of purchase.
I hope this information helps! Please let me know if you have any questions and thanks again for you post!

  • Windows 7 Home premium recovery disc

Hi guys. This is my first post. So i own a HP pavilion dv6 3010-us which runs Windows 7 Home premium 64 bit. I had a problem with my laptop and the only way I knew how to fix it was to perform a clean install of the OS. So I gave a guy my laptop to reinstalll my OS and he installed a different OS! My laptop now runs on Windows 7 Enterprise. I want my laptop back to its default factory OS. My laptop didnt come with a recovery disc, it only came with a recovery partition on the hard drive. But whenever i attempt to boot up my laptop in recovery mode, it tells me "BOOTMGR is missing" I don't even know how to fix this error. And my laptop isnt even booting up windows now cause I set the recovery partition, that is not working, as the active partition. Please how do I get my laptop back to its default OS? I dont have a recovery disc and I cant order it/them from HP. Is there a way that i can create a recovery disc that will help me fix my laptop? (If im able to restore my laptop to factory OS, I hope i'll still have all the HP features and software)

You won't be able to recover to the original operating system.
Once the guy installed W7 over the original one, you lost the use of the recovery partition. It is basically useless space now.
The only other thing you can do is to use the product key (if you can still read all 25 characters of the W7 product key) on the bottom of your notebook to install the operating system that came with your notebook.
Most dv7 consumer PC's come with W7 Home Premium 64 bit, so here is the direct link to the Microsoft digital river W7 x64 Home Premium SP1 ISO file.
    http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-24209.iso Windows 7 Home Premium x64 English
Make sure you get the whole file to download.  Sometimes it reports download complete but you didn't get the whole 3.xx GB file.
Then either use your DVD burning program's burn ISO file option to burn the file to a DVD so that it is bootable.
Burn at the slowest speed you can.
Or, use this tool to transfer the file to a 4 GB USB flash drive or DVD.  This tool will also make the media bootable.
    http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/windows-usb-dvd-download-tool
Then go to your PC's support page to get the available driver and software you need.
If your notebook is running OK with W7 Enterprise installed, then doing the above will not change anything other than to provide you with the operating system that came with your notebook without any of the additional software.

  • Dv6 recovery disc

    Hello!
I have been on the phone with HP (2+ Hours) with no success. I purchased a HP DV6 in Dubai: Product #A7M81EA#ABV.
I wiped my conputer clean and need a recovery disc, they will not ship me a recovery disc from HP US because I bought it in Dubai. Suggestions? Thanks...Steve

    Hi, Steve,

  • Recovery discs do not work with new hard drive

Hi I have come here desperately seeking help as I am not too knowledgeable with the workings of computers and I have spent an incredible amount of time just trying to get my laptop to some level of functionality.  I purchased a HP Envy and it had a corrupt hard drive which would not work from day one, laptop was new.  After a year of constant pressure on HP they finally decided to replace it and let me choose any laptop so I went with the Beats Envy 14 as it was the best one offered from the selection.  Low and behold the thing would not work properly from day one, again my brother who is much more of an expert said that there was definitely a hard drive issue so for the past 3 years I have put up with a computer that constantly crashes with BSOD, where I have lost data on numerous occasions (only so often I can back up), that I have had to constantly reset the thing using HP recovery discs, and that generally cannot cope when performing multiple tasks.   HP are most certainly shocking builds from my experience.  Then just last week the hard drive just craps itself and the laptop no longer will boot up.  I took it to a guy to get it at leYst working again so he has installed a new hard drive but with an old version of Windows 7.  I want to go back to the Windows version I was akin to on the HP recovery disk , and essentially have it all set up as before except for now having a workable hard drive however I get the message:  "This computer is not supported by the System Recovery Discs. You will not be able to continue to recover this system with these discs.Error: 0100 - 3385 - 3078" I also tried out of interest to load my old Windows 7 disc I had and XP but had no success.  Tried booting from startup etc and various things suggested on help forums.  Please tell me I am not stuck with this version of windows.  Whilst the discs included Windows 7 it was a totally different version, this home premium one is terrible. Any help/advice would be gratefully received. Thanks

no they were both 500gb. I read about that already, I heard about creating a partition for recovery etc but this is all a bit above me , as I said I am not very technical when it comes to the working of a computer.  These discs worked perfectly before but now with the new hard drive will not load at all.  I essentially hate the Windows Home Premium verions the guy who fixed it put on, whilst the discs had Windows 7 on them the icons were way smaller, the desktop neater, the buttons different, everything was a lot more modern and I was used to it.  This version looks like something from the 90s, have to constantly adjust size of Mozilla when browsing as it is huge.  I have my own version of Windows 7 on another disc but the hard drive will not let it load either........considering waiting for Windows 10 but again unsure if this new hard drive will even let that update Thanks

  • Satellite L500D PSLK0A Toshiba Recovery Disc Creator does not run correctly

    Hi,
I am trying to create a recovery disc for my Toshiba Satellite L500D PSLK0A-00U009.
When I run the Recovery Disc Creator it begins to open then it comes up with a box with an exclamation mark then it says 'Can not open target partition'. Then the Recovery Disc Creator will open. It then appears normal then when I insert a CD to being the process it looks as though it is going to work then it says Error and stops and ejects the CD the Error is code is: 0E01B5-26-510444D9
I have already uninstalled then program then reinstalled it using a download from the MyToshiba website and this did not fix the problem.
    Any suggestions?

    Hi
Did you try different disks from different manufactures?
How about the usage of USB flash memory stick? As far as I know you can create an bootable USB Recovery flash stick too.

  • Win7 64 bit (original pre-installed) ,32 bit dvd recovery disc

I've just bought new notebook from toshiba L500-208 recently. And i absolutely have no idea how to deal with this new stuff! Please help me!
I had one NB from compaq for 5 yrs, when i format window just use 1 cd and this finish!
But now what i dont understand is i have win7 64 bit (when i bought), but i have 32 bit recovery disc.
I want to know if i format notebook and use this recovery disc, i will lose 64 bit, right?
What if i want to have 64 bit for next installation, what i have to do? please help me too..
    thank you so much!

    Hello
The whole situation is quite simply. If you check PC and notebook market you will see that more and more new products will be offered with 64bit operating systems.
So the software production goes slowly in this direction.
Toshiba offers you brand new notebook with 64bit operating system but also offer you 32bit version if you feel comfortable with it and if you want to use some software not designed for 64bit operating systems.
Your notebook is delivered with HDD recovery image and if you read users manuals you can find info that you should create own recovery DVD.
This can be done with preinstalled Toshiba recovery disc creator. The shortcut for this tool you can find on desktop.
So, before you do anything please create this installation disc. After doing this you can install 32bit version and use it so long you want.
When you want to have 64bit version again use self created recovery disc for installation.
I hope you understand now how it works.
If you have more questions please let me know.

  • I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook help ASAP!!!

I need a new recovery disc for my MacBook so I can format and re-install the default operating system. I have lost the original recovery disc that came with my MacBook years ago. Can anybody tell me how and where I can order one from?
Also, I do have the original recorvery disc that came with my MacBook Pro, could I not just use this or would it not be compatible?
    Help ASAP please...
    Thank you!

For a fee, you could likely order a replacement install-restore DVD for your MacBook. To get the correct disc(s) and match the hardware to the system, you need to know and have the serial number of the product handy, and be able to answer some basic questions; and have a form of payment, such as credit card.
Call the Apple Store online (main US number, 1-800-MY-APPLE) or the main Apple Support number for US, 1-800-275-2273.
Or if you're in another country, you could try calling a Local in-country support number and ask, since they may have to redirect your call to another associate. See link below for Support phone numbers.
An operating systems specialist or other qualified person will be able to try & help obtain the correct disc or disc set; if the computer original gray-label set is no longer available, they may be able to check their extensive database against your product serial number to see if they may have another full install disc that can work.
This other option, if it happens, based on your MacBook serial number and build model identifier, could be slightly newer than the OS X version shipped with the MacBook, and not be gray-labeled.
A replacement install disc in retail version would not include any original MacBook applications, while a gray-label disc set should have most of them as part of a multiple DVD set, if available.

  • Recovery discs: says not the right model when trying to install

Hi I have a real problem.I have a 1330n Media center desktop. I never had to use the system recovery discs before. I bought this PC new from Circuit City when they were in business.      A little info.
A few years ago HP sent me the full set of recovery discs after the courts made them supply owners with a physical set of discs and not the hard drive partition like they supplied. I never used these. I do have my system backed up with Retrospect and if I ever had an issue I always relied on that.
I just got a trojan that hit everything even the recovery partition. I needed to format and go from scratch. I knew I had these recovery discs so I was not afraid to try different methods of recovery. I was told by the anti virus people AVG to install from a Win XP disc and format the hd and start there. The discs I have from HP do not work as AVG said so I went to my Retrospect back up restore cd. It brings up my restore shell but fails to show the external drive where my back up resides. I now have only one choice my HP recovery discs. I tried to use them and they say not the right model.
What do I do now? I need to get this up so I can restore my retrospect backup.
    Any suggestions?

Read the section "Error: These PC recovery discs do NOT support this PC model" in the troubleshooting recovery in Windows XP web page. Try these steps and/or verify everything is correct.
