MSS - Appraisal - No user mapping defined for system SAP_ECC_HumanResources

Hi Experts,
We are using MSS for appraisal. When we click on Maintain Performance Documents link on MSS, we gets Status Overview for employees. After that when we click on In Preparation point, it gives following error.
No user mapping defined for system SAP_ECC_HumanResources
It asks for User name and Password. When we enter user name and password, it gives following message.
Session Management will not work!
Please check the DMS log file for details.
You can turn off this alert inside"Support Destk"->'SAP Application' and after that screen gets error - Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage
Would appreciate kind guidance on this. We are on EP 7.0 and ECC 6.0. We are using single-sign on.
Thanks in advance.

  • Core Data Services in ABAP : No URI-Mapping defined for object type DDLS

    Hi ,
    When creating a DDL source , I get the error
    " No URI-Mapping defined for object type DDLS and object name ZCDSV_01_06".
    Can you please suggest what the issue could be?
    Thanks,
    Chakram Govindarajan

    Now I am able to proceed to the next step. Not sure how this started working. However, I get the below error when I open the DDL source editor for one particular ABAP system added in the eclipse environment. I however do not get the error when I open the DDL source editor for another system ( AH4) .I am providing the log error details . I updated the ADT installation. However the issue has not been resolved. Also I tried implementing the Note: 1834948. However I cannot find the option "Team -> Share project..." in the ABAP project.
    Thanks,

  • No Exception Defined for System Errors

    hi,
    I am capturing system messages through an Exception error handler in the block step of Integration Processes.
    Its a IDOC -> XI -> HTTP Receiver scenario.
    When i execute the scenario, i see an error in the workflow in the Block Step. It shows an Error which says "No Exception Defined for System Errors", though i have a Exception Branch in the Block step.
    Any clues why i am not able to capture the Exception errors and send it through email.
    Its failing at the Block step.
    More details on the scenario:
    1. Start
    2. Receive Step - Asynch - IDOC
    3. Block Step - with Exception name as "TimeOut"
    3.1 Exception Branch with exception handler as "Timeout"
      3.1.1 -  Transform Step - to transform a Exception message(with just one field) to "Error" message  (with 5 fields)
      3.1.2 - Send Step - send the "Error" message through email
    3.2 Deadline branch set to 1 minute
    3.3 Switch step
      3.3.1 Transformation step - to transform the IDOC to XML
      3.3.2 Send step - Synch - request xml and response xml defined in this step
    4. Switch Step
    4.1 - Transform step - transforms the idoc and xml response to the actual error
    4.2 - Send Step - sends the actual error to the email message using MAIL adapter.
    Any tips would be grateful.
    Thanks,
    Tirumal

    Stefan -
    In step 3.3.2
    I did find the property exceptions and assigned the exception branch in the block and ran the scenario, now i get an error saying that : "Exception Timeout Occurred."
    I went through the Technical Details of the workflow and the error displayed there is "Exception 'Timeout' caught and transferred to the exception handler'.
    In step 3.1.1
    I get an error saying "No Payload found'.
    Does this mean its not able to capture the message text.
    Thanks in advance,
    Tirumal

  • Exception: non-read-only mapping defined for the primary key field

    Hello.
    I'm new to Oracle and I created Java EE Web Project.
    And I created entities from tableA, tableB, tableC from my database.
    tableA has foreign key to tableB and has unidirectional Many-to-One relationship. tableC has two primary keys and one of these is foreign key to primary key in tableA. tableC also has unidirection Many-to-One relationship to tableA.
    Then I created session bean and data control from it, in design window, created read-only table from tableA.
    And I selected columns in tableA and also in tableB.
    I ran the application and saw the following exception in log window.
    Local Exception Stack:
    Exception [EclipseLink-46] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.1.3.v20110304-r9073): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.DescriptorException
    Exception Description: There should be one non-read-only mapping defined for the primary key field [tableC.tableA_ID].
    Descriptor: RelationalDescriptor(mypack.tableC --> [DatabaseTable(tableC)])
    tableA_ID is a primary key in tableA.
    How can I solve this error?
    Please help me.

    There are not enough details to be sure since you have not provided the mappings. From just the error, it looks like you are using the tableC.tableA_ID field as the foreign key in the ManyToOne relationship to A, but have marked it as insertable=false, writeable=false, meaning that it cannot be updated or used for inserts.
    Either make it writable (set the settings to true), or add another basic mapping/attribute in the entity for TableC that maps to the field which you can use to set when you insert a new tableC entity. A simple example is available at
    http://wiki.eclipse.org/EclipseLink/Examples/JPA/2.0/DerivedIdentifiers

  • User mapping error:  NO systems available for the selected principal

    I have a problem related to User mapping. After creating system alias, I mapped my j2ee_admin user successfully. Then I created 15 more users and when I click usermapping for all of them, it is not displaying the system alias. It is giving error "There are no systems available for user mapping for the selected principal"
    I cannot understand that when I click connection test, it is successful. The user mapping for j2ee_admin user is working. But when I try to do the same for other users, it is not displaying the system alias and giving me the above error.
    Can anybody guide me through the error. I have given "Everyone" role to all the 15 users. Any kind of help will be appreciated and points will be rewarded.

    Hello Abdul,
    This is a permission problem. Open the permission editor of the system and assign any role/group in the permission editor and select the checkbox corresponding to end-user.
    Now assign this role/group to all the users.
    It will solve ur problem.

  • User Mapping failing for SharePoint Integration..

    HI
    I am trying to integrate Sharepoint document library with SAP KM as WebDAV repository but stuck with the single sign on issue using User Mapping. It gives authorization error when try to access the library via KM and even creating a simple URL iview with the sharepoint URL gives Authorization issue. Not sure what could be the issue here. Seems like its failing somewhere at the IIS proxy level.
    The versions are EP 7.0, Sharepoint 2007, IIS6
    All the pre-reqs are done at the KM level (HTTP system, WebDAV Manager, WebDAV System, ). Also have defined the user mapping in the User's profile level. But still cant get rid of the authorization issue.
    Any pointer is really appreciated.
    Thanks
    Sandip

  • Many-to-One user mapping to backend systems - possible?

    My apologies if this simple question has been asked many times earlier - I couldn't find it if it is so.
    I understand I can use user-mapping in single signon to map user X in portal to user A in backend system (say SAP BI).
    Can I map users X, Y, Z..... to one backend user A?
    What alternative I have (to let a number of portal users run some BW reports on the backend system - for which we want to use only one BI user-id)?

    An easier more manageble way of doing this is to create a group and assign the group to a backend user. That will establish your many to one relationship.
    We perform this for our vendors currently as they would like to see a single shopping cart in SRM.
    Just be cautious on the manner in which you leverage your single user as you can experience several locked objects depending on how things are accessed. Another thing to consider is making the backend user a service user as this will also allow you to change the password mapping policies on the users as in many cases you will need to remap the users every N days depending on your systems security parameters.
    Hope this helps.

  • Portal - User mapping - umlaut - personalize - error

    Hello all,
    did anyone hear of the following in the portal user mapping to a backend SAP system ?
    A user has an account in a 4.7 SAP system and his password contains a german umlaut.
    In the portal "User mapping" instead of SSO is active. The user clicks the "Personalize" iview to map his SAP User, he enters his SAP UID and his (umlaut-containing) password.
    When he then calls an iview that is connected to the backend system (e.g. bwsp via ITS), he gets the message "No user mapping defined for system ...". He then can enter his UID/password for this single request, and when he does so, it works. Same procedure comes up, when he again tries to call the iview.
    It seems, as if the password is written to the database in the wrong way ?
    Any experiences on this ?
    Thank you + regards
    Andreas

    Hi Andreas,
    Go to User Admin - User Mapping. Search for the user and click on "Edit".
    Now select the "System" defined for connecting to the SAP 4. 7 system. Give the user id and password for the system and click on "save".
    Now try accessing the iview. You would be taken to the sap system directly without any request for login.
    You can do the same, if the user has "Personalize" link available in the top right corner of the portal which comes by adding the "EU Role" to the user.
    Hope this solves your problem.. If not pls get back.
    Regards,
    venkat.

    Its me again.
    There seems to be a bug. I have created antoher alias for this system and it is working now.
    When I change the logon method (UIDPW<=>SAP LOGONTICKETS) for the reference system, then I can not save the login and password for the system.
    Happens this situation to anybody of you too?
    Thanks.
    Best Regards,

  • EP + BW: Problems with user mapping in the portal

    Hi,
    I'm trying to connect the portal with the BW by using the report RSPOR_SETUP which is a step-by-step guide. The steps #1 - #11 seems to be ok but my problem is the 12th step, the user mapping/allocation maintenance in the portal.
    There is an error emerging (in BW): System failure during call of function module RSWR_RFC_SERVICE_TEST (System failure indicates normally an authentication problem between ABAP and Java)
    Another error is emerging by testing the connection in the portal. (System administration u2013 system configuration u2013 system landscape u2013 connection test: the first connection, the SAP Web-AS connection is ok but the second, connection test for connector, is not working.
    Especially the connection to the backend system with the defined connector is not working. The output is: u201CConnection failure. Check that single sign on is correct configured.
    On step 12 of the step-by-step guide I have to select a user in the portal, relate him to a system alias und maintain his technical username and password for the BW. I think here is the problem. Iu2019m able to select and save a system alias for the user, but Iu2019m not able to save his technical username and password. There is another error emerging (in the portal): u201CVerification of user mapping data for system SAP_BW failed, check credentials for errorsu201D, so Iu2019m not able to save the username and password.
    I think thats the my problem. the log file confirms that: "Did not find any existing logon data for principal...." & "No user mapping data available for principal...."
    I hope my problem description is understandable.
    Any ideas how I can solve the credentials problem to save the username and the password?
    Thanks in advance.

    I could deploy some of the usage types, but there is an error regarding the BI-REPPLAN package. I think it's one of the very last errors that stands between me and a working EP - BI connection. There is a problem with the version. Could you check the log details, to find out more?
    Thank you.

  • How can i use exisitng user data(Id, password) for user mapping

    Hi All,
    For User mapping , we can import user mapping data for many users from user administration. and for each user
    we can maintain mapping data in the standard format.
    eg:
    [User]
    uid=user2
    $usermapping$:BCE:user=ext_user2
    $usermapping$:BCE:mappedpassword=password
    i am clear till this point.
    this all works if we know the userid and passowrd on the system 'BCE'.the passwords on the system 'BCE', are encrypted . so there is no chance for me to know the passwords.
    so how can i use the existed userid/passowrd on the system 'BCE' for the mapped user and mapped password on the portal while doing usermapping.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Lakshmi

    Hi,
    I think this should work.
    1. Setup SSO with SAP logon tickets first. How to do this is described many places, e.g. http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/d3/41c8ecb31d11d5993800508b6b8b11/content.htm
    This SSO will not work at first, because the username is different in the back-end system. So what you need to do is to get the back-end username into the ticket (don't need a password because that is done by the SAP logon ticket)
    2. Create a portal component which uses the usermanagement API to create a usermapping which only consists of the username and a blank password. You can do this manually I think if you have no reference system defined.
    IUserMappingService umap =(IUserMappingService)PortalRuntime.getRuntimeResources().getService(IUserMappingService.KEY);
    //this is the currently logged in user. You might another user
    IUserContext user = request.getUser();
    //Get the existing data (think it can be null)
    IUserMappingData userMapping=umap.getMappingData(systemAlias, user);
    HashMap map = new HashMap();
                             map.put(IUserMappingService.UMAP_KEY_USER, backEndUserName);
    //add blank password               map.put(IUserMappingService.UMAP_KEY_PASSWORD, "");
    //store the values                    userMapping.storeLogonData(map);
    Voila, this should allow you to do SSO using SAP logon tickets, but with another name that you use against the portal. I am uncertain if this will work if you have multiple usermappings in the sap logon ticket
    PS since the sap logon ticket is issued at logon time, you need to relogon to get the changes done by the code

  • Not able to do user Mapping with the backend System

    Hello all,
    I am trying to Map a user to a windows based KM System but getting an error like
    "There is a configuration issue which leads to problems when accessing user mapping data for the selected backend system 'KM_Test_System'. Usually, the reason is user mapping being configured for strong encryption, but the necessary additional files being missing. Check the security log file for further information and hints on how to solve the problem."
    Can somebody tell me what could be the possible reason for this and how to handle this. I dont have access to the Portal server right now , so not able to see the security log.
    Thanks to all,
    Regards,
    Sarabjeet Singh.
