MSS Issue - Manager not able to see his subordinates.

Hello All,
I have an issue in ESS/MSS. The manager is not able to see his suordinate in MSS.
Scenario 1 - In  'A' org unit, there are many employees & one of them has been made as Chief position. In this scenario tha manager is able to see his subordinates.
Scenario 2 -  In 'B' org unit there is only one position & he has been made as Chief in that org unit. In the strucutre there is no org unit which is under this org unit. But the realtionship S to S B002 (is line supervisor of) have been mainatined with many other positions. But these positions belongs to other org units. It means the positions who is reports to the other position are belongs to different org units.
In this 2nd scenario the manager not able to see his subordinates in MSS.
Hence can anybody explain why the manager not able to see his subordinates. Whether it is standard functionality or is their any settings in which this can be achieved.

In most of the iViews in MSS the evaluation paths used in the ODAP (Object and Data Provider) are based around the Organisational assignments.  Typically for most iViews in MSS they follow the path:
Find Position of Manager
Find Org Units managed by that Position
Find all Positions within that Org Unit
Find employees in those positions.
i.e. they don't look at position-to-position relationships.
We had a situation similar to you where we didn't want this path following in all cases; you have to
1. create your own Evaluation Paths (T778A)
2. create new object selections and link them to new object view groups
Integration with Other mySAP.com Components > Business Packages / Functional Packages > Manager Self-Service (mySAP ERP) > Object and Data Provider
3. assign the new view groups to the groupings in table V_PTREQ_TEAM.
There's quite a few steps, but once you get your head around what's happening it's not too bad - let me know if you need further details.

  • Not able to see data in the qualifier table of the main tbl , Data Manager

    Hi,
    I have an issue of not able to see the data of two qualified table after populating them.
    It is in mdm-5.5 ps4.
    When populating data first time ,it shows up in those two table slots in the right side of the Data Manager.
    However subsequently it does not show up in those slots , only by right click on the table and selecting "View/edit", the window pops up where those data shows up.
    However unlike other qualified tables the data does not showup automatically for these two tables.
    Appreciate any suggestion or feedback on this.

    You may have checked the Filter Check Box next to the Qualified Lookup cell in Data Manager, when the current table is the Main Table.
    You use the Filter Checkbox to limit the qualified table records by the current search selections.
    Secondly, you have see if there are any Qualified Links to the main table record you are viewing.
    If not, create the Qualified links in Data manager, for the main table record and the Qualified Table Record.
    Once this is done, you will see the Display fields of the Qualified table for which the links exists for the given main table record.

  • Service Desk end user not able to see messages

    Hi
    Im configuring service desk.Iam facing following issues.
    1. In solution manager service desk user could not able to see his submitted messages.He could able to submit his message and they are appearing in crm_dno_monitor. Is there any way he can see his submitted messages and message status.
    2. I have assigned following roles to user, but he couldnot able to send message and getting 513 error. If i assign sap_all to him, he is able to submit message. Just i wanted to know how can i avoid sap_all to him.

    SAP_SUPPCF_CREATE
    SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
    Message processor:
    SAP_SMWORK_BASIC
    SAP_SUPPDESK_CREATE
    SAP_SUPPDESK_PROCESS
    SAP_SUPPDESK_DISPLAY
      SAP_SMWORK_INCIDENT_MAN
    Concerning this please pay attention of the note:
      834534 - SAP Solution Manager roles in Release 7.0
    Error message 513 is probably caused by incorrect or incomplete
    customizing. Please review attached note 864195 for more details.
    Please also ensure note 1356510 has been applied in your system,
    you may find more explanation in note 1522809.
    Please check the authorizations for your key users. The key user
    shouldn't have the following value on authorization object CRM_TXT_ID:
    TEXTID   SU15
    ACTVT    02
    FM AI_SDK_KEY_USER_CHECK can be used to check a user is a key user or
    not. The key user should have limited authorizations on authorization
    object CRM_TXT_ID.
    Please check security guide for the message processor roles and

  • Not able to see specific tags for FSCM Credit Management on BP master data screen

    Hi All,
    I have already set up Collections & Dispute Management,
    I am now on my way to start FSCM Credit Management setting up. I have already created the BP role (UKM000) and assigned it for direction customer to BP, but I am not able to see any specific tag on BP Master data related to Credit management, (just as I can see "Collections profile" tag, in reference to Coll. Mngmt).
    So, I am not able to see these tags yet: "Credit profile", "Credit worthiness", "Cresit limit and control".....under Credit Management BP role!
    What am I missing there? Have I got to activate BAdi UKM_R3_ACTIVATE in order to be able to "see" those BP tags???
    ....Or what else?
    I will reward with points if someone can provide me any hint about this issue.

    Let me tell you, I may be confused by a document I downloaded from internet about the BP master data views (as for the FSCM Credit Management role, of course) . Please find below the commented tag. It is an imaged I copy to you from that document I told you, for you to see which tag I am talking about:
    I don´t know the content of that tab...but I would like to see it in place....you know..
    Now, I checked you last answer and I saw that everything was already set by factory, please find below:

    The issue is resolved.deleted those devices and readded it worked..
    But am hitting with another issue am not able to add devices into DCR.after the finish device addition status summary
    not shown.device also not shown in DCR.

  • Not able to see Add Manager Privileges

    Hello ,
    We have installed the NW IDM 7.1 on HP Unix - Oracle combination. The design time is installed on my desktop and I am able to connect to the database.
    I started doing the intial config steps but the first thing I noticed is I am not able to see the checkbox for Add Manager Privileges when I click on Add User tab on Identity Store.
    I am also missing some more tabs on some of the screens. My desktop has a Windows XP ( 32 bit). Can this be a possible issues or is there something else ?
    I also tried downloading and installing theDesign Time again but in vain..
    Any inputs will be highly apprciated.

    Yes Ian,
    I have insatlled the Design Time from the latest download of the NW IDM 7.1 pack from SAP marketplace. I am able to connect to databse , create dispatcher , jobs , etc. But in those steps also I am missing some tabs on some of the screens.
    I was suspecting that it might be because of the 32 bit windows , bit looks like it's not the issues as the same config is working in your case..

    Thanx kbrosnan. Enter key will work if my keyboard is Google Keyboard but if i have another keyboard type (C-DAC, GIST Marathi Keyboard) then if I press enter key it will take special invisible character may be carriage return and not getting expected action. Using same C-DAC keyboard I am able to get expected action in another application. So is that browser problem of keyboard problem?

  • I work with a child who is not able to move his neck.  to see the ipad, it has to be placed high above the table (eye level).  he needs access with a mouse - is this possible?

    I work with a child who has physical disability and cannot move his neck.  The ipad needs to be eyelevel in order for him to see it, but he also is not able to raise his hand and would need mouse access...  is this possible?

    I'm sorry but the iPad does not work with a mouse, there is no cursor on the iPad and the iPad was designed as a touch screen device so a mouse will not work.
    I really don't know what to suggest other than this new device, and it might be worth a look. I assume that the child can use his hands for a keyboard.

  • Preference Processing: Not able to see PO in Manage Vendor Declaration

    Hello All,
    I have completed below activities for Preference Processing
    1) Material transferred from Feeder to GTS
    2) Material Prices & Procurement indicators transferred to GTS
    3) BOM Transferred to GTS
    4) Material and all BOM item classified
    5) Preference indicators and LTVD details are maintained in Product master in GTS
    Now I have create a PO for Raw material and the PO is transferred to GTS but i am not able to see the PO in path /SAPSLL/MENU_LEGAL --> Risk Management --> Preference Processing --> Manage Vendor - Based Vendor Declaration --> Display worklist.
    Have i missed any configuration?

    It doesn't sound as much that you missed something as it does you'd done one step too many.
    In step 5 where you say you have maintained preference/ltvd status in the MM; that's why you wouldn't be seeing your PO listed under 2014 in pref processing.  Since you've already manually maintained it's status, you've basically bypassed the need for that PO this year.
    If you change the year in Preference Processing however, you should see your PO listed for the FTO in question for 2015.  Without the manually maintained material status in place, this material/vendor combination should be relelvant for request with the year pushed out.

  • SQL Authenticator Issue not able to see roles /groups in BPM Worklist

    Hi ,
    I had configured the SQL Authenticator in Web logic using the SQL Authenticator default scripts and i have inserted few users.
    I am able to login to the Workspace using the users available in DB but i am not to able to see his group / role to which he belongs.
    Even the user who belongs to Administrator group not able to see Administrator tab in BPM Workspace.
    I have already added dbprovider.jar and i have configured jps-config.xml accordingly such that it point to custom SQL Authenticator.
    Even set the Control flags to "SUFFICIENT".
    Please some one help me on this.
    Its a high priority task.

  • Not able to see Webi labels in Translation Manager

    Hi,
    I am using Translation manager in BOXI 3.1. I am not able to see the report labels(not universe objects) in the translation manager when I open the report in the translation manager. I can only see the prompts in the translation manager. Is it possible to include labels also in the translation manager so that i can use different labels for different languages. eg:- report title, free cells etc....
    If I cannot use report title in the translation manager I will not be able to use same report for different languages as the most visible part of the report will be report title.

    Translation manager detects only Objects/Classes/Prompts/Hierarchies.
    But not Free-standing cells.
    Following is the text copied from SAP Translation Manager User Guide.
    Translation Manager handles:
    u2022 XI 3.0 Universe Designer (unv files): all universe metadata.
    u2022 XI 3.0 Web Intelligence (wid files): document prompts only.

  • Report exection problem for one user - not able to see the data.

    Hello Friends ,
    Need some help . I have got the one ticket from bussniess side about the report execution .
    Unfortunately , I am also not having authorisation of that report due to sensible data.
    Problem - User is executing the report but some how he is not ABLE TO see the data for one company code Hierachy .
    I executed the same report through RSSMQ via his user id , and I got the  below message.
    All value were selected . Hierachy Authorisation cannot be used.
    A displayed hierachy requier a hierachy authorisation .
    But when i checked his authorisation , I am able to see that he should have authorisation to all the hireachy .
    could you please let me know , how can I check more ?

    after accessing the report , u go to su53 tcode and check the authorization and u can see what is problem in authorization for the that user and u can send the details to secuity team to rectify the issue ,

  • After webcatalog migration from 10.1.3.3 to 10.1.3.4.2 not able to see user

    Hi Gurus,
    I am facing an issue with web catalog migration.
    Currently we are on 10.1.3.3 version and upgrading to 10.1.3.4.2.
    As part of migration i have taken the RPD, NQSConfig, Web catalog, instanceconfig.xml files as backup. i followed manual way while taking the web catalog backup i.e zipped(tar) the prod catalog and moved it to some folder.
    After 10.1.3.4.2 installation i have moved this zip file to the /OracleBIData/web/catalog and unzipped it. restarted all the servers. when we logged in presentation services we are not able to see the reports which we saved in "My Folder" when it comes to the reports which we saved in "Shared Folder" i am able to see all the reports and dashboards.
    to debug this further i opened the web catalog by using web catalog manager and found out that all the reports and .atr files are there under that user ( USER folder, corresponding user folder ), and instead of my presentation server recognizing this folder its creatin new folder for the same user.
    Because of this issue our release plans are getting postponed, please advise me.
    what could be the problem and if i have done some thing wrong while taking the backup pls let me know the best way of backing up the web catalog.

    try this:
    Archive all folders from 10.1.3.3 using catalog manager.
    Update instance config on 10.1.3.4.2 so that it'll create a new webcat, open it and unarchive above folders.

  • I could not able to see Imported Business Package

    I am using Standard Business Package for SAP CRM4.0 60.2.3; it is stored in PCD -> Migrated Content
    I customized the Business Package and stored the content in my folder and transported the Business Package to Local (on Desktop) and Server (in server: C:\usr\sap\J2E\SYS\global\pcd\Export).
    I did not deleted the Standard BP from PCD/Migrated Content
    After importing the Customized Business Package from local system i could not able to see the Business Package in PCD.
    I could not able to see the Customized BP in PCD….. , Whether that Standard BP should be deleted before Importing
    What is the Default location it stores after importing?
    Plz help me to solve this issue its very urgent.

    For Example In CRM BP there are set of Roles in that i took only Lead Manager Role and Stored that in my folder xyz as Deltalink and i also copied dependent object pertaining to that Role as Delta link.
    In Transport Package i added all the dependent object and aswell the Role of Lead Management to that Package.
    Before Exporting the Transport Package there is a option called (Include all objects on which the exported objects depend) i checked this option and Id of dependent objects i mensioned as ex: com.xyz
    After doing this i transported my BP
