Mulitple G/L assignment for one service master

Hiii experts, when we create a service Po.. we enter Acct.  Assignment category "K" i.e cost center and  text and serivce activity no and then the g/l comes from service master valuation class which is mapped in obyc..now if create a new service master with same valuation... how can diff g/l assigned to it... e.g
Service 1- val. class-3100- g/l 12345678(defined in obyc)
Service 2- val. class - 3100- g/l( can different be  g/l assigned ??)...
Regards,
Abhay

Hi
Thats what I dont like about Indian clients.. They meddle too much into the system configuration which is actually the area of consultants
Dont use any Valuation class and make the GL account mandatory in the Account Assignment Catg in OME9.. That will force them to enter the GL account
I would prefer creating material numbers for service too

  • Multiple transform/assigns for one variable - is this possible?

    Hi,
    What I am trying to do is read in a complex XML file. Transform some data, add some other data from another source and update a table in the database with all data.
    So currently I read in the XML file.
    Do one big transform to map the majority of data to the input variable of my database adapter.
    I then call a stored procedure to get some ID values.
    I have then been trying to add these ID's to the input variable of my database adapter. Tried both transform and assign, but these seem to overwrite the big transform which I previously did.
    Is it possible to update the same variable in more than one transform without overwriting the values set previously?
    Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi Marc,
    Thanks for your help.
    I've tried playing around with the <bpelx:insertAfter> command referring to your Blog.
    I have a couple of questions, perhaps you could help me with them.
    1. I noticed that once I have added this command into the .bpel file I get an error within the designer view. Is this to be expected or am I doing something wrong?
    2. Is it possible to specify the XML tag which is used and also use an XPath query?
    The code I have added is as follows:
    <assign name="Assign_GlobalsToInsert">
    <bpelx:insertAfter>
    <from variable="InvokeGlobalsGetGlobalsOutputValue"
    part="outputParameters"
    query="/ns1:outputParameters/GET_VALUE"/>
    <to variable="ReceiveFileReadInputVariable"
    part="DATA_FILE"
    query="/ns3:DATA_FILE/ns3:DataLine/ns3:FinalLine"/>
    </bpelx:insertAfter>
    </assign>
    When I tested this it did add and element with the correct value as expected, however the XML tags were <GET_VALUE> as specified in my query section of the from command. Is there anyway to use a different value for the tags?
    I currently get <GET_VALUE>99</GET_VALUE>
    I would like to use <TRANS_ID>99</TRANS_ID>
    Thanks very much for your help

  • Local contract for service master doesn't picked in PDP

    Dear Experts,
    We are on SRM 7.0 and in using PDP Scenario. Having created a local contract for service master which is released and acting as a source of supply when creating the shopping cart for the service master, however when purchase requisition is being transferred to the SRM system agains the same service master the shopping cart in available in the sourcing cockpit instead of picking the existing contract. Set the option as "sourcing carried without source of supply" , however this scenario works well for material master but not for service master, please advise me on this fix or any limitation in this version.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Venkata Koppisetti.

    Wrong assignment of P org with P grp is the route cause, found the error and rectified which is working fine.

  • Mass Change for Service master

    Dear Experts,
    I've tried to do Mass change for service master.. in transaction MASS, i couldnot able to find the object for service master there..
    Is there any possiblity to do mass change for Service Master
    thanks

    Hi,
    I have tried ur scenario. Mass change for service master was possible using the TCode: MASS. But if u go to the Tcode:MASS, system asks object type. object type for service is not available in the match code/input help(F4).
    At any time, if u want to know the object type for any transaction , goto the Tcode: SW02.(path: SAP Easy access: SAP Menu->tools-> ABAP work bench->overview->business object overview( SW02).
    click on materials mgmt.-> external services mgmt.-> service master ( in the tree list).
    Object type for service master: BUS1005
    this business object is useful for list display for service master records(get list), read detail data for a service master record, create& change service, display object, check existance of object.
    object type for attributes in service master: IFSAP
    reference table: ASMD
    goto SW02, to find object type for any transaction.
    i think this information is very useful to u.
    reward me according to ur uasge of this information.

  • Problem in the contract - price of service master is notcpying to condition

    Dear Experts,
    I am facing a problem with the contract. I have created a contract for services. I have entered all the details like, validity period Service master numbers, Qty and price for each service master.
    When I am using this contract in the maintenance order the price is not getting copied. I have analyzed the same and found that there is pricing condition created for the service master line item by the system automatically and this helps copying the price from contract to maintenance order.
    This is happening to only one particular Pur. Org. For all other Pur. Org its not happening.
    Can some one tell me what could be the reason for not creating the pricing condition for the contracts created for only a particular Pur. Org? Is there any configuration setting missing?
    Please help me.

  • Transfer of Service master short text  from PR to PO

    Hi All,
    We have a scenario where we use Generic service number to order one time services. Based on the requirement we keep on changing the short text (description) of the service master in PO or Purchasing requisition. The issue is - Short text on generic service master is changed in PR but it is keep on reverting to original short text as in service master while converting PR to PO. .
    For Example :
    Service master - Code - 100001 - Description - "Generic Corp Miscellaneous Services"
    I created a PR, included service no 100001 and changed the description of short text to - "Fixing tiles at foyer". Now when I converted PR to Purchase order service description should transfer to PO. But it is showing as 'Generic Corp Miscellaneous Services'. After investigation I found it is coming from the Contract that is linked with the PR as source of supply. And if I removed the Contract from the source of supply short text transfers from PR to PO. So Contract get precedence over PR.
    The requirement is - short text of service master should transfer from PR even when source of supply is Contract. It means always transfer short text from PR to PO not from contract. Is there any user exit/ config or change to ABAP code is required.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hi
    If you have document management system active in your system and if it the document type of documnet (which you created in CV01N) has link object PO and PR. Surely it will be transafred from PO to PR. But if you have added document in service object in Me52N then it will never go to PO automatically.
    Thanks and Regards

  • Service Master UOM

    Hi Experts,
    Please provide me input on the following
    1.  Can we have / maintain  Alternate Unit of Measure for Service Master as we have in Material Master.
    2.  In case if it is poosible to have Alternate UOM for Service Master, kindly suggest the proceess of maintaining Alternate UOM for Service Masters.
    3.  Please provide some input on the internal work tab in Service Master and its functionality and its applikcation.
    Regards,
    M. Suresh

    HI Manohar,
    Thank you for reply.  My requirement is that can we maintain Alternate Unit Of Measure in the Service Master as we have in Material Master.
    The scenario is we are to avail consultancy services.  The Consultancy service can be availed based on Hours, Weekly, Monthly and Yearly.
    My requirement is that i create only one service master for Consulting and need to have the option of having AUM as above without creating multiple Service Masters for Consultancy based on UOM.

  • Confirmation of 2 Services for a Service PO

    Hi All,
    We are using SRM 3.0, EBP 4.0 ECS.
    We create a Service PO in SRM and have 2 Services (items) for the Service PO. While doing confirmation in SRM both the services are available. If we confirm one Service (item) for the full quantity and then go back to the same PO and try to confirm the other Service (item) - it states "PO 35xxxxxxxx contains no items for confirmation". i.e it does not allow us to confirm another service if any of the service (item) has been confirmed for the full quantity.
    Note that there is no issue in case of a Goods PO. Also there is no problem if we confirm the full quantity for both the services at one time or have confirmed partial quantity for one service (item). Problem arises only when one service has been confirmed for the full PO quantity.
    Any pointers on this will be highly appreicated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Francis

    Hi Muthu,
    We have checked and found that these notes have already been implemented. But still the problem persists.
    Let me know if there are any other suggestions.

  • Service Master Records Utilization

    Dear all,
    I am currently implementing service master records for my client who used to be having free text entry for services.
    As for the service master records, I have the following requirements:
    1. Service master records will not be the lowest detailed level.
    2. However, the client wants to have a rigid way of controlling unit rates.
    3. For example, "IT Consultancy" will be a service master created for procurement purposes. However, different service providers would have different unit rates for each level. Say, Manager Daily Rate, Consultant Daily Rate etc.
    The question is, what is the best alternative to represent these unit rate (reflecting them in PR, PO), without having to create service master records for each of them? Please advice!
    Thanks!

    Anyone could share some suggestions?

    Hi,
    1. Material(used for material being procured) master and service master(used for services being procured) are two different master details in SAP.
    2. service master records to be used while procuring services with item category D, and service master numbers to be entered at service line item level. Same like materials, details like unit, description, service groups, valuation claas needs to be maintained while creation of service master.
    4. standard reports are available in SAP to track the services procured based on the service master number.
    3 yes. service master data can be used in SRm, all of them can be used.

  • Service Master unit wise price

    Hi friends
    In one service master i want to maintain different unit rates like as
    1 meter = 10 rs ,,  4 meters = 10 rs,, 6 mtr = 12 like i ll map to SAp
    how this senario map to SAP and this service process will goto MIRO

    hii
    Its easy to do servcie order .. Pls dot make it complicated.
    Because , here u are not going to purchase any material , only service u r going to do.
    While doing service PO u can mention approximate value of total service .
    Then once u cpmplete the whole service , what ever it may be , whethere , one sheet or 3 sheets , or ,.,.etc what u wnated to do the service u do the service .
    Final u'll come to know how mucha service has been done , by the servicer.
    Right , so here according do the service entry sheet and payment to the particuklar service .
    Revert any clarification

    Hi Tom,
    Sorry for the delay. We can exclude the media factor since you were able to install it on VM with this media.
    If I understand correctly, Shanky said “Abve message can also appear due to corrupt profile so deleteting old profile and creating new one and using this to install would also help.Make sure you always RK on setup.exe and select run as administrator” which
    means your user account may be corrupted rather than the Virtual account. You can create a new Windows user account and use it to log into the system. Then, re-try the installation.

  • Assign G/L Account to Account Key for External Service Management

    Dear all,
      Using SM30 V_T687 transaction key is maintained and it is accepted in Service Management caculation schem but now i have to assign GL accoutn to it.
    Kindly guide me where i can assign GL account for this newly created transaction key as this one is not appearing in OBYC.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
    In service procurement, you need to create a service master(AC03) , you need to enter valuation class for service(3200).In OBYC, you just assign need to assign GR/IR Clearing (service) with G/L account only & no valuation class for service assignment requires in OBYC setting for service. Service A/c triggered from OKB9 setting or cost element (KA01/KA02) with cost object assigned.
    Service order or purchase order created with Acc. assignment ' K' and Item category 'D' , the system automatically pick UOM is "1" activity unit in Item Overview and in item details you need to maintain the service master ,UOM, quantity & price /unit and then G/L account with cost center .
    During SES(ML8N), you are just recognizing vendor performed service where you can have cost object(cost center) with service master with quantity etc.....No FI document created after creating/maintaining the Service Entry Sheet in ML81N but once you release the Service Entry Sheet, then only FI documents created.
    If GR valuated for service procurement: You will have accounting entries:
    During SES release:
    Service A/c: Dr
    GR/IR(service) A/c :Cr
    During IR
    GR/IR(service) A/c :Dr
    Vendor A/c: Cr
    Service tax A/c: Dr
    NOTE:
    Default G/L account with cost center in Service PO can be set, check link:
