Multi Attachments with ZIP or Mail Adapter (Outbound)

Hi,
is it possible to process one message with several attachments?
I am thinking of a use in the Mail Adapter if you get several attachments or if you have one ZIP File with several documents. I would process the ZIP File in a Module and add each document as attachment.
But how can I process then the different attachments? PayloadSwapBean is only for one file, right?
Is it possible to produce during one Module Processing different messages?
Thanks
Philipp

Hi,
>>>>>is it possible to process one message with several attachments?
of course it is
>>>>But how can I process then the different attachments?
you can add them in the adapter module for example

  • I cannot e-mail microsoft word attachments with Windows Live mail

I receive error message - Logon failed, you must logon to Microsoft Exchange to access address book. Error Code: Unspecified error.  Another message pops up:  There is no e-mail program associated to perform the requested action.  Please install
an e-mail program or if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Program Control Panel.
My Windows Live mail is working - I receive messages and can send them but I cannot send Microsoft Office Word 2007 attachments which I could before.  Yahoo mail sent a message to use Firefox instead of Internet Explorer and I tried it and then
uninstalled it and something apparently got messed up.

I recommend you post in a Windows Live Mail forum.  This forum is for Microsoft Exchange Server 2013.

  • Sender Mail Adapter - html body mail

    Hello Everybody,
    I'm facing this strange problem:
I receive an e-mail with an XML attachment with a sender mail adapter and I use the PayloadSwapBean to let the attachment be the real payload as explaned in this blog
    <a href="/people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/18/xi-sender-mail-adapter--payloadswapbean--step-by-step:///people/michal.krawczyk2/blog/2005/12/18/xi-sender-mail-adapter--payloadswapbean--step-by-step
If I receive mail in text/plain format everything works fine, but as soon as I get an email with an html body (content-type: multipart/alternative; boundary=...) it doesn't any more (In the XI  Monitor i still se 2 payloads, but I can only open the one with the attachment).
In this case the mapping is stuck in "scheduled for outbound process" status and the XI queue gets blocked with status "SYSFAIL" giving this error "Access via 'NULL' object reference not possible".
Is there any way to force XI digest also HTML e-mails?
As always, thanks a lot for your help.
    Daniele

    Thanks Akshay,
    this really worked!
Fyi I'm using XIPAYLOAD option. I added in the module chain, before the PayloadSwapBean, a MessageTransformBean with this parameter:
    Transform.ContentType - text/plain;charset=uft-8
this way I can also see the massage body in the monitornig.
Hope this will be helpful for someone else.

my idea is to send the payload as message to the reciepient email.i have not downloaded any mail package.
    Any Help appreciated..

    Hi Aravind,
Is ur target msg type correct
    <i>Cannot produce target element /ns0:sp_mail_MT</i>
I cannot see any sp_mail_MT in ur target structure. I think thr is prob with the message mapping. You dont hv to use mail package over hr. Just give the sender and receiver details in the receiver mail adapter
    Also, check the following link

  • Receiver Mail Adapter - Avoid attachment

    Hello
Could anyone please let me know, how to prevent a mail attachment with a Receiver Mail Adapter. I have chosen XIPAYLOAD as Message Protocol. When the mail is received there is no mail body, instead only the attachment contains the message.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Use Mail XSD as target structure in your mapping and enable use Mail package in your receiver channel...

  • Mail Adapter Problem

    Hi All
I have setup a sender/receiver mail adapter. If I send mail to, or receive mail from an email address which does not exits on our mail server, I get no error, but neither XI nor the other recipient receive the mail.
Any ideas here, or am I just doing something wrong?
    Thanks in advance
    Clinton

Yes, I have tried this and it is not sending to addresses outside of my company addresses.  Is there anything I can check why not sending to any other addresses. I am using the same mail server address in the receiver adapter as that I am using in my Outlook, and I am able to send from Outlook to other email addresses outside of our company.
    My  from: [email protected]
           to   : [email protected];[email protected]
           subject: XI File
from this it is only sending to shobna@companyB and simply without any errors not sending to john@companyB....
and the same with my sender mail adapter. It does not accept any mails from companyB, but when any account from companyA sends to XI, it takes it into XI and delivers to the receiver.
Help please, this is really driving me crazy
    Thanks

  • Proxy  (XI) Adapater vs Mail adapter

    Hello All
Is it possible to configure an XI sender communication channel with a Receiver mail adapter communication channel.
I have read the blogs and the forums regarding mail and proxy adapter ?
Have someone performed this scenario yet ?
Please let me know and send me specific details regarding it .

This is what I want :
The secario will use xi adapter and mail adapter.
The xi adapter will be the sender and the mail adapter will be the receiver.
With my abap proxy I will read the information of two fields and I will send this
this information by mail to the mail adapter.

  • Auto-delete mails with ZIP attachments?

Unfortunately, I have to do business with Windows users whose machines seem to be infested with viruses that harvest email addresses. As a result, I am engulfed daily with mail that contains Windows virus attachments (ZIP files) and spam with GIF attachments. And I'm tired of it. Reporting the senders to their ISPs is an exercise in futility.
Since the only legitimate attachments I receive from clients are always, and without exception, Stuffit SIT or SITX files, is there any way to set up a rule in Mail that will delete emails with ZIP or GIF attachments but allow those with SIT/SITX files through?
There doesn't seem to be a way to add "Attachment" to the list of headers in Rules. In view of the fact that the most common vector for viruses is via email attachments, this seems to be a major oversight on Apple's part.
Any hints on dealing with this?
    Kind regards.

    Dave,
sorry for being late but I just saw your message now...
In 10.3.x, there indeed is no way to filter based on attachment names (this is a new feature present in 10.4.x). However, you should be able to mark all those messages as spam and filter them to your junk mailbox using Junk Matcher:

Message was edited by: Dave Bourke. I'm sorry, when did the common word for Hades become forbidden? John Milton is on the banned list now? What is happening to the world?

Many thanks for your very helpful response, Mikkel.
However, when I expand the headers on any mail that contains an attachment, there is no header named "Attachment," just a paperclip symbol with an expand arrow.
So if I go to create a Rule, first of all there is no "Attachment" header in the Conditions list, and second it is unclear how to enter such a symbol-based header in the "Edit Header List..." dialog. Do I simply type the word "Attachment" into the dialog as a header even though it never actually appears in any emails with attachments?
    Still mystified...
    Kind regards.

  • Read multi-tabbed excel file attachments from Sender Mail Adapter.

There is a need to read excel attachments from incoming email to a
mailbox. We know we can use Sender Mail adapter to easily read .xml, .txt
    or .csv attachments.
For excel attachments we know from SDN that you have to write
adapter modules to handle excel. However the excel file we need to read has
multiple worksheets(tabs) and data may be contained in any of them.
Is it possible to use SAP XI Mailsender adapter to read such a file as an attachment? What kind of module development would we need for this? I am not much of a Java programmer so examples or links to other documentation would help.
    Thanks,
    Rudra

    Rudra,
Use Java Mapping.  There is a free java api available called JExcelAPI to achieve this.

  • Rename the zip file and send it using the Receiver Mail Adapter

    Hi,
We have a custom module that will create multiple attachments. The result is then passed to the PayloadZipBean, which zips as per required.
When we output this to a file adapter, we provide the file name as say "zippedfile.zip" the result is as expected.
For example, if the custom module created 3 attachments with the names as file1.txt, file2.txt and file3.txt, the zip file zippedfile.zip, will contain 3 files as file1.txt, file2.txt and file3.txt.
The issue that we are facing is when we use the mail adapter, the zip file is getting renamed to file1.txt.zip i.e to say that it takes the name of the main payload from the custom module (file1.txt)
    TextPayload txtpayload = message.getDocument();
    txtpayload.setContentType("text/plain");
    txtpayload.setName("file1.txt");
    moduleData.setPrincipalData(message);
We tried using the MessageTransformbean but it doesn't seem to change the name of the file.
Not sure where we are going wrong. Is it that the output of the payloadzipbean cannot be used and altered by MessageTransformbean?
Is there any alternative as to rename the name of zipfiles and use it in the mail adapter?
Appreciate any help on this regard.
    Regards,
    Shabz

    Solved.
    use Transform.ContentDisposition - attachment;filename="youfilename"
Do read the mail adapter FAQ.
The parameter can vary for different mail client.
