Multi masters blank page

I have a form with numerous pages. Most pages use a normal portrait Master page. I added a second master page in landscape for one of the body pages. In design mode, everything looks fine but when I go to PDF Preview, the landscape body page is ALWAYS preceded by a blank portrait page. I have already verified that all of the fields/subforms on this landscape page are within the Content area. This form always shows the first 7 pages, but the rest of the body pages are only made available when the user clicks certain check boxes within the first 7 body pages. The blank page only shows up when this one landscape page is added, not the others. What I really don't get is that the blank page is portrait and not landscape like the new one. I did copy several buttons from the portrait master page when I created the new landscape master page and they have the same names. Could this be causing the problem? Are there any other things I need to check? Thanks. I am using Designer 7.1

The form has 2 master pages and up to 28 body pages. The first page is always the HOME page that lists the "relevant" pages. By relevant, I mean the page has been activated and the user can get to it and use it. The first 6 pages and the HOME page are always relevant. Fields on these first 6 pages will activate the other body pages as needed.

Both Master Pages have buttons for Print,Close,Next,Back,Goto,Save As and Submit. The user clicks the Next,Back or Goto button to navigate to the desired page. The Goto button uses a popup menu to list the relevant (activated) pages the user can choose.
Javascript code always does a saveData, removeInstance(current page), loadData and then an addInstance(new page) so that only one page at a time is actually instantiated.
What I am doing is the following:
1) Click PDF Preview tab in Designer
2) Body Page0 is displayed (instantiated)
3) Click Goto, Body Page3. // Goto List shows Body Page0 - Body Page6
3) Body Page3 is instantiated and displayed
4) Click the Multi-Locations radio button. The click event calls a
function that adds Body Page8 to the Goto list (relevant pages).
5) Click Goto, Body Page8. //Goto List shows Body Page0 - Body Page6,
Body Page8
6) A blank PORTRAIT page (Master Page1) with buttons is displayed,
followed by Body Page8 in landscape as expected. Scroll down to
Body Page8. Body Page8 acts correctly, but why was a blank
PORTRAIT page with buttons generated also?
As I mentioned, I've already verified that all fields on Body Page8 are inside the Content Area using the Heirarchy to see all its fields. Master Page2 has no fields in its Content area. All the buttons are above and/or below the content area.

How do I create a multi-page doc / add blank pages in PSE 11?

I am creating printable PDF files and up to yesterday I was using a free trial of PSE 10. To create a multi page document I first saved it as a PSE project file, then added blank pages, then when I was done I saved it as a PDF and voila - done!
Now my trial has run out I have bought the paid version (which is now version 11) and I seem to have lost that option entirely. The product is useless to me without a way to create multi page PDFs - can anyone help?
Alternatively can I downgrade back to PSE10 which was fine for me!

Thanks - I just spent an hour online to support, they won't refund me until they can work out why it won't allow it in the new version?!! So they have shared my screen and taken my files to be worked on "at the next level" - there didn't seem to be an option to accept that this feature just wasn't available in the version 11, they kept trying to make it do it. Especially as they could open my multi page projects created in version 10 and add pages to them!
Anyway, I would be open to using another free software MichelBParis, but I found it such a steep learning curve to figure out how to do it in PSE10, it would need to be simple. Do you have links to any you could recommend?

Safari 7.0.6, using Adobe Acrobat 11.0.10, aren't rendering pdf files in the Print Preview screen. Additionally, only a single, blank page prints for a multi-page pdf document. Any ideas?

Figured it out. It had nothing to do with the software levels of Safari or Adobe Acrobat. Here's the fix:
Open Finder/Applications
Search "Internet Plug-Ins"
Move any Adobe plug-ins to the trash
Quit Safari
Launch Safari
Your pdf document should now render in Print Preview and print properly.

Not on my document. I have a 7 page document open. The "flashing vertical bar" is at the top of page 3. I have the thumbnail view showing. I click page break and two blank pages are added to the end of my document. I have to scrool thru the pages to see that the 2 pages were added as they do not appear in the layout view... I'm not sure if it is inserting a "section" as it adds two blank pages.. But I am clicking on "INSERT PAGE BREAK".. So guess there are still a lot of bugs to fix..

Multi blank pages

Hi,
Using Smartdraw to draw scaled plans in 2D I then convert to PDF to email to clients. Plans scaled 1:100 convert ok but anything smaller i.e 1:150 or 1:200 convert and have 16-32 blank pages attached to the document.
Do you think this is a Smartdraw software problem or is this a PDF anomoly, or is there an easy fix.
I have been onto Smartdraw but they appear to have gone silent.......

I create the document via the Smartdraw software, a drop down box allows the user to export the native .sdr file into either PDF or Word or jpeg or png or gif or tiff or bmp or metafile.
Pdf is the only format that when emailed retains the same scale/size of the original drawing when opened up by the recipient.

AR Invoice Printing Blank page when printed through printer

Hi,
I customized AR invoice to give PDF output through BI Publisher.There is no issue when tried to view the output.
When tried to print the output through printer, It's given blank page.
All other BI publisher reports which will give PDF output in Straight single request are printing through printer correctly.
But AR invoice By standard program itself when fired, First a Multi Language Function will fire which will have output of 0 bytes and after that as a child request Original program with Required output will fire.
It seems that printer is printing Parent request output.
Can anyone please help me regarding this.

Hi,
I'm guessing the concurrent program is outputting text (character mode) as opposed to PDF?
This could be a number of reasons:
1. Printer driver issue, e.g. the number of lines printed on the page is more than is defined for the printer driver: Try reducing the "Rows" on the current program definition
2. Printer PRT issue, extra page break could be being inserted.
3. The "box" in the report definition containing the address could be being expanding due to the extra address line, but not enough space so it forces a new page to be printed.

Blank Page Printer Warning

I've been working on a simple one page project this morning where I've had to print a few times and adjust margins. Suddenly, I'm getting the following warning when I try to print:
"The pages selected to print are all blank. If you want to print blank pages, check the 'Print Blank Pages' box in the Print dialog."
Clearly I don't have a blank page and up until a few moments ago I was printing with no issues. I also haven't made one single change to any of the printing dialogue boxes. Anyone have a clue as to why this would suddenly be happening?

Sounds like the file is corrupt unless you've done something really odd. What do you see if you switch to preview mode?
If the file is damaged, you can try moving the pages to a new file, which probably won't work, but copy/paste in place of all page elements probably will. Change the name of the master page in the new doc to something not used in the old one, drage the masters from the old pages panel into the new doc, then do the copy/paste. Import the Basic Paragraph style from the old doc, too.

Avoid Creating a Blank Page in the PDF Output for conditional request

I have a Conditional request on my Last page of the data it checks the number of rows in the first page then it prints the excess rows in the last page and everything is working fine but when i use the conditional request its generating a blank page at the end of the report and i doant want to display balnk page

HP All-in-One 2100 Prints Blank Pages

Anyone had this issue where an HP ALL-IN-ONE only prints blank pages, or only parts of the page? It worked great for years, now after a few clean installs, it's junk. Sometimes it works somtimes not. Now seemingly always not.

I have had this problem FOREVER. I even paid the $59.95 to HP for "Support time" to fix the problem, which they never could do.
For the last year or so I've been using GIMP print drivers, which work, but I have even better news.
Every few months I check the HP site to see if they have released new drivers. This weekend when I checked there was a new driver, version 7.9, as a Universal binary. So I gave it a shot.
I have an OfficeJet 6110xi, but I bet they updated it for all the All-in-ones. Here's the link to the drivers I am using:

To my amazement and surprise everything is working again!
Another great surpise is that scanning multi-page documents under "PDF to Adobe Reader" now actually results in one file with N pages rather than N 1-page files.

Detecting blank page

Currently I am working on web scanning project in which I have to get the documents from the scanner and save them in form of TIFF files (either single page or multi-page). As an enhancement to this project, I have to detect and eliminate blank pages. Can anybody please tell me how to detect blank pages/images??

I have found the solution to the problem.
Blank images will have highly uniform pixel values throughout the whole image. To measure the degree of uniformity (or variability), I came up with the function that calculates the standard deviation of all pixel values. An image is determined to be blank if the standard deviation falls below a certain threshold.

When i login to a website, it loads then gives me a blank page ?

I can view a page regularly, like everything is normal until i go to log in. I get a blank page as soon as the page loads, and this happens to many websites. Ive tried searching in safemode, editing my firewall settings, removing cookies, disabling plug-ins, clearing history/cache, but i've had no luck so far. Anyone have any solutions ?
I notice that every page i load includes ".php" in the URL bar.

To Reset Firefox do the following:
#Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.

How to remove blank pages from WebI Report in view page layout option

I am working in Business Objects XIR2 environment. I have a WebI report with several sections. I need to show the report as a book with 69 sections (each section on new page). there are 69 sections on cost center and each cost center section has almost 10 sections embedded in it. When i see in regular view - I only see 69 pages but when I try to see in "View Page Lay out" option, there is one blank page added after each results page.
Please let me know how to remove this blank page. I need to give users the option to download the book as PDF on to their machine. Now, when I download to my machine, I see one blank page after each results page.

Jus convert your report in Page Layout mode and see if your first pafe is getting expand in the second page.
Now check if there are any cell going into second page.
- if there are any blank cell which is there after table.
you have to check formating very carefull.

So if we have 3 different currencies, then 3 pages will be created with there details, but we are using NEW-PAGE option in
MAIN window to separate the pages and after 3rd page it is displaying 4th page also with footer details.

This issue can be solved by two ways. Please take the one which suits you better.
Solution 1: If you need to generate separate prints for different currencies.
In the driver program, build an internal table for different currencies which needed to be printed. (Using delete adjacent duplicates, build the internal table with exact number of currencies to be printed). Remove the NEW-PAGE option and call the script/form inside the loop. Do the necessary conditions to manipulate the print.
Advantages of above solution: Better control on spools if needed.
Solution 2: Get the count of the number of pages in a variable. Inside the print loop, increment a flag counter. Check it against the variable which contains the number of pages to be printed at the end of each page. Exit the loop when the number of pages to be printed is reached.
Advantage of above solution: Simple to write the program.

RoboHelp10 - If we click on 'Show' link(button), blank page get displayed

Tried with below option,
Flash Help -> we are working with it and has problem for our desktop/standalone wcf application.
Flash Help Pro - > We know that RH server is req. for this option
Web Help Pro- > We know that RH server is req. for this option
Trouble in (Flash Help),
1. When we invoke Flash Help with respective topic ID, it will not show requested topic page along with TOC, it will show default topic/page, which we set at the time creating help. Also it will display "Allow Blocked Content" button at the bottom. If we click on "Allow Blocked Content" it will display the above requested topic page correctly, but without TOC pane. This time we can see 'Show' button(link) on the browser. If we click on 'Show', blank page get displayed.
2. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic and it won't show me the TOC along with current selected topic page.
3. When we are displaying content with option 'OptionConstants.CSH_DISPLAY_CONTEXT' it only show topic with 'Show' link. When we click on 'Show' link, blank page get display.
4. Tool gives us facitlity to publish the Flash help, where we can choose the folder. This means that it publishes folder structure. We are using this folder structure (the published one) and on the top of that we are not getting expected(blank page get display) result.
5. Published content does not contain any mapid/mapfile, if so whow it works correctly with RH development studio.
6. Skin we were using 'beautiful_vista_flash.fhs'
7. We build RH after setting Mozilla as the statup browser. We tried with Mozilla and IE but still our application opens help in IE. So not able to test in Mozilla.
Please assist to resolve it.
