I am trying to install Multimedia Offerings for Think Center on my new installation of Windows7 and I'm getting following message:

mutlitmedia center for think offerings hasn't been updated to work with windows 7 yet. the latest version i could find online is dated 2006 and is only listed as being compatible with 2000 and XP. most of the updated apps won't be available until the october 22nd launch of 7. i don't know if MCTO is covered under the update.
oddly enough, the version of MCTO i have on my thinkstation works fine under server 2008 R2 (aka: windows 7 server). you could try installing it, although without a lightscribe burner this version may not install.

"Add-On Software" CD for LV6.1 won't install.

Following NI Forums Knight Dan Knutson's advice to install a LV version earlier than 8.5 in order to convert 40 VIs written in LV5.1 to LV8.5.1, I attempted to install LabVIEW 6.1. There is a CD that won't install. It is the "Add-On Software" LV6.1 CD. The CD does not autoinstall when it's put in the CD drive. When I right-click the Autorun > Install icon, the installer returns, "Error. Installation failed." The CD has LabVIEW, and Measurement Studio folders, an autorun setup information file and and Eagle icon. There is no setup.exe on the installation CD main directory. Could anyone please suggest how to install the LabVIEW and Measurement Studio folders?
I tried to go into the individual sub-folders of the "Add-On Software" CD, but when I reached LabVIEW\Enterprise\SPC\Install\disk1\ and click Setup.exe, I get "Setup Installation Error. Setup has detected that UnInstallShield is in use. Please close UnInstallShield and restart Setup. Error 432." Running MSCONFIG to remove isUninst.exe from the Startup folder fails because no IsUninst.exe application runs on startup, rebooting does not help, it's not an Administrator issue because my account already has Administrator privileges, and searching the Internet does not give useful clues.
Could an expert please solve either of these two problems?

I may be confused on the topic of a Compact RIO integrated with LabVIEW version 5.1? Version 5.1 pre-dates the release of Compact RIO hardware. The Compact RIO platform uses neither NI-DAQmx, nor the Traditional NI-DAQ driver, it is built on a separate driver platform in NI-RIO. May I inquire as to why version 8.5.1 was selected for the upgrade process, and not the latest version in 2009 SP1?
As you may have experienced already, the process of upgrading across 10 releases of the LabVIEW development environment may present issues, as the environment has been significantly changed through the years. For additional information on the upgrade process please see the following information:

More realistically, does this application contain highly customized code, or functions, that are not integrated into the newer platform? With regard to hardware integration, if you intend on working with the Compact RIO platform, you will be working to develop brand new code using the LabVIEW Real-Time (and possibly LabVIEW FPGA) Module, as any code written in LabVIEW 5.1 will not support the Compact RIO platform. With respect to any additional hardware that may have been used, you will need to verify the device support in either the NI-DAQmx or Traditional DAQ releases, this information can be found at http://www.ni.com/support. I believe time spent developing on a supported platform, for the new hardware set, may be more effective than looking to directly upgrade the 5.1 code.

Numbers app for iPhone 4 won't install

I recently had to restore my iPhone 4 because it wasn't responding. I'm running iOS 7.1.2. It It seems to be working fine now, except the Numbers App won't install from my computer to my iPhone. I'm assuming it's because my iPhone is old and the app is new. How can I get an older version of the app for my phone?

Keeps saying the connection timed out and to check my connections but everything is working just fine. I was able to donwload the itunes update just fine so I know its nothing to do with my connections. I get an error msg when I try to do it OTA. Says it encountered and error and to check my settings. Cant restore the phone since it needs to download the update because it always gives that error message

Paid for Beepus app, won't install, Can someone help please??

I have a BB Curve 8520 and remember having Beepus when it first came out and it was free. After a while I deleted the app. A year or so later I want it back again and now it costs money. Ok fine thats no problem, so i paid the money for the app and it took me to my uninstalled folder in my app world and began re-installing it. However it keeps failing and I have no idea why and what to do about it.
This is the second time I have paid for an app now and it hasnt installed, i let the first one go but don't see why i should be paying for an app that won't install on my blackberry. It's been on there before, so I don't know what the problem is. Has anyone else had problems with this?
Does anyone have any suggestions or know how to fix this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
I suggest that you clear the AppWorld application cache:
1. Open App World
2. Go to My World
3. Follow one (and only one!) of these steps:
3a. For keyboard-based BB's -- Hold down the ALT key and then press, in sequence R, then S, then T
3b. For Touch Screen Only BBs -- Hold the num-lock (!?123) button so it locks and then press, in sequence 3, then 4, then (
3c. For newer (e,g., OS6 and 7) BB's, see this KB:
KB24714 How to clear the BlackBerry App World cache
4. AppWorld should close.
5. If your BB locks after issuing the cache clear, perform a battery pull reboot
6. Return to AppWorld/MyWorld (it may be sluggish while it re-synchronizes).
If step (4) does not happen as listed, then the clear cache did not work.

Lenovo solution center won't install update

Hi,
I've got a rather high spec Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga, which I love. However, the Lenovo Solution Center keeps popping up saying "A new version of Lenovo Solution Center is available. Do you want to update now? <Update now> <Later>
When I click on update now, it downloads the ~35mb download for "2.4.002", but then doesn't install it. I'm concluding it doesn't install it by the fact that it remains on 2.2.002, the next day it'll ask me to download it again, and it does nothing after completing the download that would indicate that it has indeed updated the software.
I'm running Windows 8.1
According to the splash screen for Lenovo Solution Center, it is currently on version 2.2.002, revision 17630.

I know this is an old post but for anyone else having this problem...
Once you download the update via Lenovo Solution Center and it doesn't automatically install:
1. Close the Lenovo Solution Center
2. Go to the folder "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\LSC\Local Store"
3. Right-Click on the LSCSetup64.exe file (or whatever your LSCSetupXX.exe file is) an choose "Run as Administrator".
Be sure to check the date of the LSCSetupXX.exe file to make sure it is current so you know it is what you just downloaded.
This will install the new version.
Once complete, open the Lenovo Solution Center as normal.

C2-12383-7 Error, Flower for PS Vita won't install

I purchased the digital version of "Journey Collector’s Edition", and I have been unable to install the PS Vita version of "Flower" that comes with this bundle.I have downloaded "Flower" multiple times and I keep receiving two error messages describing a problem with installing the game.The two error messages that are displayed after attempting to install the game are C2-12383-7 and C2-13270-3. All the other games in this Edition download and install just fine, but the PS Vita version of “Flower” does not install once it has been downloaded.I am now left with 474 MB of data on my PS Vita which I can’t use. Here is a screenshot of the game as it appears in my download list, along with a screenshot showing how the installation seems to fail at 15% of its progress, and some screenshots of all the information I could find on the PS Vita system relating to these two errors.

No the installation failed in exactly the same way. I rang PlayStation Support on the 12th and the advisor told me they would give me a refund.I asked them to tell me when they have fixed the problem so that I may purchase the item again. People who had experienced this particular error with other content still needed to get a refund.
Once the problem had been fixed they were told to purchase whatever content it was they were having problems with a second time.
I don't know what way PlayStation organise the content on their server/ servers, but perhaps when you buy content on the Store your account is linked with the hash value of the installer for the content.
If the content which has been bought is corrupt then it will have a different hash value.
In this situation the solution would require someone to get a refund so that they may purchse the content again.
The advisor told me they would escalate the problem to their technical team, but I don't think there is going to be a solution any time soon, as there don't appear to be many people experiencing this error with this particular content.
Also since this content has not been affected by this error before, I am affraid that this problem will take a lower priority.

Adobe Reader for Palm OS won't install

When i try to install Adobe Reader for Palm OS from the disk that came with my new Palm T/X (or from the Adobe website) it acts like it's doing something but never actually installs. Help!!!

The Adobe Reader 305 for PalmOS setup file contains an older version of InstallShield's SETUP.EXE. For several reasons this setup version might hang without showing any GUI:
a. A running background application prevents the setup from continuing.
b. The TEMP-folder contains a lot of files and/or subdirectories.
ad a: Use the Windows Task manager to check how many background programs are running. You can temporarily prevent most startup-programs from running by holding both shift-keys immediately after logging into Windows XP.
ad b: Delete the files and folders from your TEMP folder(s). To locate your personal TEMP folder: Use the windows start menu -> click on: Run.. -> Enter: %TEMP% and press enter. Also check the %WINDIR%\TEMP folder. Some files might be in use during deletion, this can be ignored safely.
Reboot the computer after cleaning the TEMP folder(s), then try again running the setup program.

Updates for Illustrator CS5 won't install

Hi. I'm using Illustrator CS5 and I found a problem (a secondary problem here) with exporting PNG files (some weird white or black lines appear in the output), so I searched and learned that updating might help. I tried at first by going to Help > Updates... but it failed; then I downloaded the update manually and run it, but it failed too, with the error code U44M2P7.
I'm using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

i have ppcs3. it came with encore and onlocation.

Well I have same problem. I know photoshop has never been the most user friendly bit of software but what good is it if you can't install it?
The dialog with the progress bar appears for about 5 seconds and then absolutly nothing more. I am the laptop's admin. It had the majority of it's 320GB HD available. 4GB of memory and a very good display.
I certainly won't be paying good money for something that won't install on a brand new machine.
The most annoying thing about the whole thing is there isn't even an error message to indicate why the process was aborted.

bought a new laser jet m 177fw printer to replace old hp 1512.lap top connects fine wireless wise. but the old desk top computer connected with usb cable (not on line) used for word processing won't install. all starts ok when the disc is inserted and after the installing page comes up the whole thing stops with "system cannot find the file specified" message.many thanks tryejack

"The usual method to install a USB printer is to load the drivers prior to connecting the printer."
You usually load the software and drivers first - during the latter part of the software installation, you are often prompted to plug in the USB cable to the printer, or you may need to reboot before you are prompted to do that.
The power on the printer often must be switched on in order for the software installation for the printer and Windows to find it.
It is usually NOT a good idea to plug in the USB cable to the printer before installing it's software and drivers.
If you plug in the USB cable to the printer first, Windows will probably find there is a printer connected while booting, and when it can't find drivers for it, it will prompt you to point to the location of the drivers.
Usually it is a BAD idea to do that - the printer will probably not work properly.
If you DID NOT follow the installation directions correctly. Try these
- unplug the USB cable to the printer
- go to Control Panel......
-go to Printers and Faxes - delete any HP/ Canon printer listed there.
Go to Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs - Un-install any entries for software installed by the printer software installation.
Reboot the computer.
Follow the proper installation directions.
