Multiple advertizers for object

I've a BC4J Dacf application with a base frame calling other frames wich contains each one it's own session.
When I call a "child" frame all is OK, when I recall it a second time (closing or not the previois one) I get an "multiple advertizer for object" error.
I close the child frame with a setVisible(false) instruction in the processWindowEvent.
Any suggestion ?
TIA
Tullio

I've had the same problem here too.
I've been trying various work-arounds for
the problem, but I have not been successful.
I tried to put in a flag so that I only
call publishRowSet() the first time I
define an object, but I've found that this
only causes another problem, saying that
the rowset has not been opened for these.
I never had this problem until I upgraded
to JDeveloper 3.2.3.
Anybody have any ideas for this one?

    Hi guys,
    Can we have multiple transports for same object in dev system. Can anyone tell me how can this be done.
    Thanks

    Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.
    Only after releasing the tr you can create a new tr on the same object.

  • Finalize() method being called multiple times for same object?

    I got a dilly of a pickle here.
    Looks like according to the Tomcat output log file that the finalize method of class User is being called MANY more times than is being constructed.
    Here is the User class:
    package com.db.multi;
    import java.io.*;
    import com.db.ui.*;
    import java.util.*;
    * @author DBriscoe
    public class User implements Serializable {
        private String userName = null;
        private int score = 0;
        private SocketImage img = null;
        private boolean gflag = false;
        private Calendar timeStamp = Calendar.getInstance();
        private static int counter = 0;
        /** Creates a new instance of User */
        public User() { counter++;
        public User(String userName) {
            this.userName = userName;
            counter++;
        public void setGflag(boolean gflag) {
            this.gflag = gflag;
        public boolean getGflag() {
            return gflag;
        public void setScore(int score) {
            this.score = score;
        public int getScore() {
            return score;
        public void setUserName(String userName) {
            this.userName = userName;
        public String getUserName() {
            return userName;
        public void setImage(SocketImage img) {
            this.img = img;
        public SocketImage getImage() {
            return img;
        public void setTimeStamp(Calendar c) {
            this.timeStamp = c;
        public Calendar getTimeStamp() {
            return this.timeStamp;
        public boolean equals(Object obj) {
            try {
                if (obj instanceof User) {
                    User comp = (User)obj;
                    return comp.getUserName().equals(userName);
                } else {
                    return false;
            } catch (NullPointerException npe) {
                return false;
        public void finalize() {
            if (userName != null && !userName.startsWith("OUTOFDATE"))
                System.out.println("User " + userName + " destroyed. " + counter);
        }As you can see...
    Every time a User object is created, a static counter variable is incremented and then when an object is destroyed it appends the current value of that static member to the Tomcat log file (via System.out.println being executed on server side).
    Below is the log file from an example run in my webapp.

    It really does seem to me like finalize is being called multiple times for the same object.
    That number should incremement for every instantiated User, and finalize can only be called once for each User object.
    I thought this was impossible?
    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks...
    I am already thinking of ideas to limit the number of threads.
    Unfortunately there are two threads of execution in the servlet handler, one handles requests and the other parses the collection of User objects to check for out of date timestamps, and then eliminates them if they are out of date.
    The collection parsing thread is currently a javax.swing.Timer thread (Bad design I know...) so I believe that I can routinely check for timestamps in another way and fix that problem.
    Just found out too that Tomcat was throwing me a ConcurrentModificationException as well, which may help explain the slew of mysterious behavior from my servlet!
    The Timer thread has to go. I got to think of a better way to routinely weed out User objects from the collection.
    Or perhaps, maybe I can attempt to make it thread safe???
    Eg. make my User collection volatile?
    Any opinions on the best approach are well appreciated.

  • Multiple constructors for BPM Object

    I need to create BPM object which can have more than one (overloaded) constructors.
    Somehow I am not able to find out a way to create new constructor for a BPM object in Studio.
    I guess if I create a Java class and import it in the project, it may work, but I would prefer to create a BPM object rather than java code so that I can easily modify the code as and when required.
    Can someone help?

    Hi,
    Sorry - there's no way to create multiple constructors for a BPM Object (unless as you mentioned - you create an hier from a Java jar file).

  • Database design for objects with multiple states

    Context
    I'm designing a database which, simplified, should be able to handle users sending job requests to each other, and after that a job can be started, finished, and reviewed. The design should be scalable (think millions of users).
    Approaches I've considered:
    Gargantuan table
    One approach, probably not the best one, would be to simply store ALL jobs in one, huge table
    jobs. This table would need a state column to represent which state the job is currently in (e.g.
    ACCEPTED, STARTED, FINISHED, REVIEWED e.t.c.). The biggest problem with this approach that I can see is that jobs in different states have different types of data that are relevant to them. For example, a
    job request has a preliminary agreed upon price, but that could change before the job is started, and change again before the job is finished. This could of course be solved by just adding more columns to the table and naming them properly, but it will probably
    become a huge bottleneck performance-wise very early to have one table containing all the different types of possible data for all the different possible states of a job.
    Different tables for different states
    This approach would be to have multiple tables, for example job_requests,
    jobs_started, jobs_finished, tables who in turn can have substates, e.g.
    job_requests could have the sub-states PENDING, ACCEPTED, while the
    jobs_finished table would have the substates COMPLETED,
    CANCELLED, REVIEWED.
    With this approach each table only contains data which is relevant to the current job state, but on the other hand some data might be duplicated (for example the user ids of the job requester, and job receiver -- on the other hand this information could
    be stored in yet another table?). The problem with this approach is that I can't think of a good solution on how to archive all the information when transitioning between states. For example, once a job request has been accepted, and then started, it should
    be deleted from the job_requests table and moved into the jobs_started table, but it's just a matter of time before a stakeholder wants to know for example how long the average time is between a job request being created, until it's
    been started, at which point I'd need the data from the job_requests table to be able to calculate it.
    It feels like this type of problem should be easy to solve, but I really can't think of any good solution which "feels right", any solution I come up with feels ugly and I can immediately think of a number of things which makes the solution bad.
    Very grateful for any feedback or tips on approaches I could take. Thanks in advance!

    This will be moved to the design fourm, which I don't monitor, by a moderator within a day or so.
    A table in a relational database is supposed to model a unique entity. Job is such an entity. But "Jobs in Washingon state" and "Jobs in Oregon" are two such unique entities.
    I don't see why jobs in different states would have different attributes, but it is not my business domain. And the problem certainly appears in other areas. My area is financial instruments, and they come in many flavours. And still have many attributes
    in common.
    So what we do is that we have a table instruments which holds common data. And then there are tables like funds, futures, bonds, optionandwarrants etc that holds attributes that unique to these classes of instruments. These specific tables are child tables
    to the instruments tables.

  • How to get one value from multiple duplication for a key figure field

    Hi expert,
          I have a infoprovider, with following format:
            employee     hourly_rate   action_type  count of action
         there are multiple rows for each employee, I want to create query as follows:
            employee     hourly_rate   action_type  count of action
         in which hourly_rate is constant , only retriving one value from multiple rows for one employee, count of action should be summarized.
    how to get this hourly_rate.
    Many Thanks,

    Hi,
    put the employee in rows panel -> reaming object put it in free char panel.
    suppress the all result rows for the all object except employee .
    select the object -> go to query properties -> select display tab -> select result rows -> select suppress.
    select the employee -> go to query properties -> select display tab -> select result rows -> select always display. - now it will give employee wise hourly rate summarize data.
    Thanks,
    Phani.

  • Multiple fill blank objects on one question slide?

    Hellou CP users, is it possible to put multiple fill blank objects on one question slide? And if, how can I manage them for quiz reporting and correct results?
    Yarik

    I think indeed that you want a score for each fill-in-the-blank object, and that is not possible with the default FIB question slides. Only MCQ has partial scoring.
    With TEB's and advanced actions that is possible. Also with the TextArea widget, as I explained in this blog post:
    http://blog.lilybiri.com/widgets-and-custom-questions-part-2
    http://blog.lilybiri.com/extended-textarea-widget-more-functionality
    TEB's have the advantage that as interactive objects, you can attach a score to them which is not the case for the TextArea widgets. But I would recommend getting Jim Leichliter's enhanced version of the TEB's as well, so that you can control what is shown in the TEB if you want to create a question with multiple attempts. I have described a use case recently in these forums but cannot remember exactly which thread. Jim's widget is free:

  • Multiple KPI for the same Initative or Perspective

    Hi all,
         Here we are facing a problem with a customer BSC model that we need to adapt to SAP SSM
       The customer has the following  BSC structure ":
       1)  Multiple KPIs for ONE Perspective ( in SSM the maximum that we have it is a Perpective related to one KPI )
       2)  Multiple KPIs for an Objective ( Ok, SSM  is OKJ in this point )
       3)  Multiple KPIs for an Initiative ( in this customer they use a Initiative as a lower level of the Objective )
           ( in SSM a Initiative is associated only with one KPI if necessary )
       As we can see the itens 1 and 3 I see a limitation to adopt in SSM cause SSM  does not provide a n for n relationship ( Multiple KPIs for One Perspective and
         Multiples KPIs for a same Initiative )
       Does somebody knows how can I solve this kind of SAP SSM tool limitation ?
       Regards,
          Alfred

    Alfred,
    Index KPIs is going to be the solution for each of these questions.
    1) Multiple KPIs for ONE Perspective ( in SSM the maximum that we have it is a Perpective related to one KPI )
    SSM is set up in a hierarchical structure, so that the assumption is that KPIs drive Objectives and Objectives drive the status of the Perspectives. If you have multiple KPIs that are going to drive the status of a Perspective, you would have to create an INDEX KPI in Set KPIs. Then you can assign that KPI as the status driver for your Perspective.
    2) Multiple KPIs for an Objective ( Ok, SSM is OKJ in this point )
    Index KPIs need to be created.
    3) Multiple KPIs for an Initiative ( in this customer they use a Initiative as a lower level of the Objective )
    Initiatives are set to be tied to Perspectives and Objectives and you have the option of setting a Status for that Initiative based on a KPI. Again, you can create an Index KPI if you need multiple KPIs to drive the status of an Initiative
    The reason that you have to create these in Set KPIs and then assign that Index KPI to Perspectives and Initiatives is that you need to use that Set KPIs area to set and define the relationships and relative values of the combined KPIs.

  • Can we have multiple policies for the same gateway?

    Hi all,
    Is there a way in which we can have multiple policies for the default gateway?
    When I try adding a new gateway (which is not mentioned in the installer.properties file) and have policies, there is a 404 error.
    When I add another service to the same gateway, I get an error - that the service could not be added to default policy.
    Help me please...
    My need is as follows
    Want to have multiple policies, so that each of the web-service can be attached to same. The relation needs to be one-to-many. One policy can have multiple web-services.
    Thanks in advance...

    Its not possible for the same development object. Only 1 person can access an object at a time and if mutiple users modify an object new TASKs are created under the same TRANSPORT.

  • Multiple Plants for Material and customer

    Hi,
    I have downloaded the Plants from the R/3 to CRM using DNL_PLANT object. The BP with Role 'PLANT' are created.
    we  have multiples plants for the same material,
    I have downloaded the material master data, but in COMMPR01, the field DELIVERING LOC. is empty. Is that correct? How the system works with multiples plants.
    What I can do?
    Best regards
    Lidisaid

    Hi Lidisaid,
    Ideally, the field Delivery location must get populated. Just ensure that the followig settings have been maintained.
    1. Adapter Object MATERIAL
    Tcode: R3AC1
    Choose the tab Tables/Structures Within Object
    Add tables MARC and MARC_KEY
    Please also check that MARC_KEY that the field Inactive is not flagged for this entry.(This is needed to download the PLANT information as   interlinkages to CRM Online in the table COMM_IL_PRDLOC.)
    The plant information is seen in the Sales & Distribution tab of the product master by double clicking on the Distribution Chain.
    2. Add Relationship type PRDLOCS- LOCATION OF PRODUCTS
    Tcode: COMM_HIERARCHY
    Check if the corresponding Material Categories for which the PLANT information is to be downloaded has the interlinkage type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS maintained in the RELSHIP types for the products categories that are to be downloaded to CRM from R/3.
    Note:
    If no relationship types are assigned to the product category, the PLANT information will be downloaded to the interlinkage table COMM_IL_PRDLOC. But even if a single RELSHIP entry is maintained then additionally the RELSHIP type LOCATION OF PRODUCTS also have to be maintained. E.g. MAT_FERT
    Wish this helps.

  • Multiple values for one key in hashtable k, v

    So, I know that java.util.hashtable (as of Java 1.5) uses separate chaining to handle collisions. What I want to know is how to get a certain value somewhere in that bucket if they all share a common key? Javadoc says I have to search it sequentially but doesn't say how.

    OK, there's a lot of confusion on here for such a short thread :-)
    Firstly, HashMaps pick which "bucket" to store your object in based on the hash value of your object (see Object.hashCode()). However, the actual object equality test (applied to the keys during a search) is based on Object.equals(). Therefore which bucket your object is in is irrelevant - the bucketting concept is just used as a way of quickly locating a subset of all the keys in the map which might match your search value. There could very well be just a single bucket in a map and it wouldn't change its logical behaviour.
    This statement: "any Map including Hashtable, can only have a single (key,value) pair" is poorly worded. What it should say is that for any given key, a map can only hold a single value.
    Really, you don't need to think about the internal structure of maps (i.e. buckets, etc.).
    If you want to store multiple values for any given key, then make your value a list (java.util.List) and store your multiple real values inside that list.

  • Triggering multiple mails for external Mail id when PO is created

    Hi,
    I configured PO workflow and i used a standard program to send the mail to the external Mail id's of the users.
    The thing is when a PO is created the user whos has to release the PO is getting a Mail in Business Workplace through work flow and simoultaneously a mail will go to his external mail with a message that So and so PO is created please release it.
    As he cant keep on monitor his SAP Business workplace,whenever he get a mail to his external id,he will login to SAP and approves or rejects the PO.
    Here the probelm is the external mail is keep on triggering for every 15 min as we scheduled the Job for ever 15 min.
    So for the same PO number it is giving multiple mails to the external id until it is released.
    It should be like one mail should trigger for one PO number instead of multiple mails for the sam PO number.
    I'am unable to find the solution.
    Please guide me with a solution.
    With Regards,
    Praveen

    Hi Praveen,
    1> Goto transaction SWO1.
    2> Enter Object/Interface Name as BUS2012 and click on Create Subtype.
    3> Enter the required values (you can give ZBUS2012 everywhere....only give Application as R). Place cursor on methods and click on create. Enter details and finally give name of your function module (which you would be creating with the logic of sending mails to selected users) in ABAP tab.
    4> Place cursor on method name and click on parameters and create the required parameters. These parameters would receive value from task container.
    5> Finally goto transaction SWO6 and delegate this BO to parent BO (which is BUS2012). This would enable the methods of child BO to be available to the parent one.
    Try the steps and let me know wherever you get stuck.
    Best regards,
    Abir

  • Create Synonym for Object Type not supported; Why?

    Does anybody know the reason why Oracle does not support the creation of synonyms for object types?
    In our application we use many schemas to separate subsystems. The schema name has a version identifier included to allow multiple product versions loaded in the database at the same time.
    We reference objects between schemas by using synonyms, to avoid hardcoding the schema names.
    Therefore I must refrain from using object types, currently.
    Does anybody have such a multi-schema architecture, also?
    What is your experience?
    Thanks,
    Robert

    Robert,
    Type synonym is now supported in Oracle9i Release 2. The practice of using multi-schema architecture is an excellent practice for large applications. This provides a level of abstraction to simplify application maintenance, whihc you must have experienced. In conjuction with Object types, you can further simplify your application through reuse of user-defined types.
    Do you have an email address that I can contact you for further discussion off-line.

    Geoff
