Multiple queues, few people reporting issue, calls drops after short time

Random agents, usually about 2 or 3 per day for last couple of days, have reported that a call will be delivered to them from the queue and a minute or less into the call the call will just drop.  It's happened on different queues on different call centers coming in on different PRI's, etc.  Can't seem to find anything wrong and it doesn't seem to be widespread at this point.  Just a couple of people a day have complained about it and they come in the next day and it's fine.  Any suggestions?

Get some ANIs and time stamps, ask your telco to pull some reports on their side.  Look at IGW logs (both Express and Enterprise) and termination detail records (assuming Enterprise).

    hello everyone!i recently purchased the unlimited europe subscription,the thing is, the call quality is bad, and not only that,the call drops after almost 2 hours of a low quality call,i can deal with the low quality and everything,but why does it have to end the call just like that? i've purchased this service because i trusted it to replace whatsapp voice calls,since my girlfriend's internet at her university is bad, and keeps going on and off.we usually go to sleep together online... when the call is on-going.she likes when i stay with her all night. and her internet started giving us hard times,and i was thinking skype will save my day and night, but... it really wasnt what i expected. i hope that there's a solution for this.im using asus zenfone 5 for the calls now (if it means anything). and for the low quality thing, is there a way to fix this? i tried several devices...its the same in all of them, can hardly hear anything...voip runs smoother, but for that i dont need skype anymore.hoping to get some help! thanks!

    Well since nobody could really help with my situation, figured I'll write down what happened so it may help a few people in need. My restore freeze problem was solved by removing then reinstalling itunes again since I had an older version of itunes and was unable to update without doing so. The "restore from backup" option came back after the factory setting restore and for some reason the whole process only went smoothly when I tried doing it on another computer. Anyhow everything is back to normal now.

    I understand that the OP failed to do research. But then, I wasn't replying to the OP. I was replying to Chris. I have Verizon. I can talk and use data at the same time with my Droid Maxx. Therefore, the problem is not just with the network. It would be technically possible for an iPhone to do that on Verizon/Sprint if Apple had chosen to use a different chip, such as the kind other phone manufacturers have elected to use.
    Of course, this is probably all irrelevant to the OP's issue. It was merely a point of clarification, especially for those people who are used to being able to use both voice and data at the same time on Verizon. When they switch to an iPhone, they are often surprized at the limitation.

    Acutally I got this 8320 as a gift 6 months back.  The problem i am facing is that the camera is not starting at all, i have tried troubleshooting it and it is not working still, and sometimes when i am speaking on phone the call drops at the 8th or 10th minute, it doesnt happens every time but does happens very often.. 
    The Version is V4.5.0.201 (platform2.7.0.85)
    Will upgrading the software will work or else can you suggest me an solution, i am in need of a nice helping solution.

    I'm not familiar with 4.5.0.201.  Is that what's listed in Options >About on the 3rd line down?  The latest I was aware of was 4.5.0.187.  What carrier is branded on the device?
    What happens when you try to start the camera?  do you get an error message of any k ind?

  • Calls dropped after 5:02

    Trying to call landlines with Android phone, but the call repeatedly drops after 5:02 (according to the call log). This happened with the latest Android version, so I tried downgrading but that didn't help.
    The internet connection is stable, i.e. I don't experience any other drop in connectivity, especially every 5 minutes.
    Any thoughts? What can I do to prevent this from happening?

    There is already a post on this subject, but it's back in 2013, so I figured re-raising it would be worthwhile, particularly given how annoying it is. Here is the original post:

    Basically, I have some free minutes given to me every month thanks to my subscription with Office 365. When these minutes run out, my call drops - even though I have cash credit on my account. The fact it does not do a seamless transfer from my account of "free minutes" to my account of "cash" is extremely annoying. Given that most of my calls are to companies (e.g. to make payments, transfers, talk with the bank, etc) it is extremely annoying to have to reconnect with the caller, through the machine, give address/card details again, etc... And this is something that happens once every single month!! It's very annoying, and really stupid that Skype won't fix this. It's hardly rocket science to make both accounts refer to a single consolidated account.
    With increasing amounts of competition out there this is a good enough reason to take my business elsewhere. Even if it's slightly more expensive, whilst I can understand that issues sometimes take a while to fix - this seems to me like a deliberate decision not to do anything about a customer complaint, and I can't support such an attitude from a company.
    Skype - please tell me that this will post will change your mind about this issue, and that you will add this to your list of things to fix.

    1. Unfortunately, calls can't be continued seamlessly when the call charging protocol changes. In this case the change is from Subscription to Credit.
    2. I don't think that's possible but I'll check and advise.

    Just installed a new CWMS server version 1.5... all features seem to work EXCEPT when I use the call in function, I type in the meeting number, hit # and the call is terminated.

    • Problem The "Your call cannot be completed as dialed" message is played by the annunciator.

    • Problem During call-in, a user's call terminates after entering the meeting ID followed by #.
    Possible Cause You need to reconfigure your CUCM servers.
    Solution Reconfigure your CUCM settings as follows: Use the "<NONE>" partition and "<NONE>" CSS
    (Calling Search Space) for all Cisco WebEx Meetings Server related entities in CUCM (for example, route
    patterns, SIP route patterns, SIP trunks, etc.).
    Solution Use one partition and one CSS specifically assigned for all Cisco WebEx Meetings Server related

    I configured my route pattern to use <NONE> and all other option as <NONE> and still the call is terminated.
    I created a css_webex CSS and put in pt_internal and assigned that and I still get terminated.
    Am I missing something here?

    Personally, I never really use the null partition but before we go there.  You have a couple different route patterns.  The first is an inbound call pattern(s) that are going to be standard route patterns (i.e. numeric) and you'll have some outbound PSTN patterns for the actual outdialing that CWMS does.  You then have some SIP route patterns that can either be defined as IP or FQDN for each media server.  After you connect and then want to join a meeting, those SIP route patterns are used to redirect you to the appropriate server where a meeting is hosted.  For those patterns, are you using IP or FQDN and what partition are they in?  If you are using FQDN then you may need to change to IP depending on your DNS configuration on CUCM.

  • UC320 - Phone Calls Drop After Transferred

    Good morning all -
    I have my UC320 setup for a small law firm.  I have all calls in normal business hours transfer to an automatic call service (help desk/reception).  Once they receive the call they then forward it to the attorney in which they want to speak to.  Once the call is forwarded, after approximately 9 minutes and 30 seconds the call drops.   Does anyone know what this can be caused by?
    Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

    I personally make calls longer than 60 min, with CCME to some South American friends (trying to keep it vague to not release any personal info :)
    Anyway, if you use ISDN, it is easy to see which side is dropping the call. Enter "debug isdn q931" and "term mon". This is relatively low output and can be left on for days. You can also log to router memory or syslog server.
    If you don't have isdn you can still see many things with "debug vpm signal". It is a little more verbose but still not overwhelming.

  • Dial tone continues after call is answered then call drops after 1 minutes

    This morning I have had problems with calling skype contacts.  After I initiate the call the person on the other end picks up but the dail tone is still in the background.  After a minute or so the dial tone go to busy and the entire call drops.

    I downloaded new version of Skype and it works. Strange that it didn't auto update since 6.21 even thought auto update was on. Now it is 6.22.

    We have Below scenario
    SX20----> MCU<----- Polycom
    SX20 -----> Polycom
    Issue: When we make a Call from SX20 to Polycom IP to IP call or even using MCU Cisco SX20 gets disconnected after fixed interval ( 15 - 20 minutes)
    Calls from Other endpoints ---> Polycom to polycom with MCU and also 1:1 ,1: multiple over MCU works fine.
    Only issue is when Cisco SX20 comes in to the picture.
    Please sugest is it a known issue?
    Or doi we have to update firmware/licenses or any other software in cisco SX20?
    Or is it a bug?
    Or do we need to check on firewall level
    The SX20 has the latest firmware already.
    Please help !!!!!!!!

    As Martin has said above, the 15 minute disconnection issues are usually a network issue.
    Are all your devices on the same LAN, or are they at different locations?  Are you using any call control (VCS/CUCM), or are the devices standalone?  What protocol are you using (H.323/SIP)?
    If you're using NAT, have you got the NAT settings set up correctly on your devices?
    What model device is the Polycom?  Is the software on the Polycom up to date?
    There are many questions which we can ask, but need to understand your environment a little more.

    By connecting to ethernet and wifi you're creating a network loop back on itself. I've experienced problems like this in the past ... nothing really to do with Apple TV. Try one or the other, WiFi or Ethernet ... assuming you have a wireless router that's hooked up to you high speed modem.

But callers do have trouble calling in. When we initially pick up the handset to take a call after the Caller ID is announced and say Hello, there is only silence. After a 2 to 4 second pause a busy signal is heard that terminates the call attempt. The missed call number is recorded in the ansering systems list as a missed call so at least we know who tried to call, unless it is announced as private or unknown.Has anyone else experienced this?

  • UCCX Call Back After Adjustable Time Period

    I have been asked to create a script that allows a person to call in, enter their phone number, and after a certain number of minutes a call back is initiated. I have found the script from the script repository named BaseLineAdvQueuing which has call back builtin, but I am curious how I could create some sort of timer that is adjustable based on caller input to schedule the call back. For example, "enter the number of minutes before you wish to recieve a call back from the system" the person may enter 45 and this would set the ball rolling for the call back a quarter of an hour later.
    Any ideas how I could acomplish the timer aspect of this?

    This can get complicated, especially if your call center is already complicated.  Basically, you are going to need to write records to your database.  Have a scheduled task check your database entries for records which need to be processed for callback.  Have UCCX initiated via an HTTP Trigger.  That script will then place a call to your CSQ script, wait for an Agent, and then connect the Agent to the caller.
    Some challenges you might face:
    Scripting UCCX for such a solution
    DB design and access
    Error handling/User experience
    Consideration for EWT
    Consideration for which CSQ
    Reporting
    Cisco will not support you on this, so whatever you do, make it as simple as possible while still achieving the goal.  You're going to need to support it yourself.
