Multiple set book

Hi group,
I have a case with the following facts:
1 – There are many payrolls 13.
2 – There is one set of book.
3 – currently is the costing and transfer to GL are working every month.
Now the user wants to create a company with NEW CHAR OF ACCOUNT, i.e. new set of book.
Is it possible to utilize the same business group or create a new one?
If I can able utilize the business group I have some questions:
1 – How can I define the payroll cost allocation KFF for both set of book?
2 – How can I map the payroll key flex field with the chart of the accounts for the BOTH SET OF BOOK.
3 – if I run the costing process and the transfer to GL process which set of book will get effected?
4 – in the element link how can I select the required set of book

    I am new to the financials suite. What changes would be needed in reports to make them global and run across multiple sets of books and currencies.
    I was thinking of eliminating any _all tables. I am not sure on what SOB related parameter changes would be needed.

    Are the existing reports Standard or Custom Reports?
    If they are Standard then they should work for any SOB.
    If they are Custom Reports then I suggest you to run them in the development instance and see if you are getting any errors.

    Follow the limk below which will take you to the GL Users Guide. Go to page 7-54 and there is a section on setting up a set of books. There is also a section on accounting for multiple companies using multiple sets of books. I refered to this when I set up new sets of books for my company.

  • Multiple address books and/or Editing multiple address book entries

    Two questions from a neophyte to Address Book:
    1) Is there any way to make a "bulk change" to multiple entries in an address book (e.g. Add the text "Bob's friend" to the notes section of all the contacts in a selected group, or add the note "family" to a selected set of contacts?
    Perhaps there is a way to use Automator for this? or AppleScript?
    2) Is there a way to create multiple address books (short of creating multiple user accounts and logging in and out) to separate, for example business contacts from personal ones? Or perhaps is there a way to add a field to a template that allows one to categorize a contact as personal, business, school, retail, Sharon's friend, etc?
    Please lend me your ideas!

    1) Yes, certainly, Applescript is ideal for this. See below for a simple sample. You can see which features of AB are accessible by using Script Editor to open AB's dictionary.
    2) Well, you could, but AB assumes its database is in ~/Library/Application Support/AddressBook, so you could have several parallel AB folders and swap them around as needed - but you can't do it from inside AB. It is much simpler to use the feature that suits the job - groups of contacts. As well as simplicity this has the advantage that details of someone who is business, school and Sharon's friend need only be stored once, as a contact can be in multiple groups.

  • Syncing Contacts with Google to iPhone 5s - multiple sets

    Hello ... for some reason when I sync my Google contacts to my iPhone 5s I get multiple sets.  Not for all contacts but for a large majority.  Help!

    I have the same problem. It seems like itunes (on windows) has a problem to sync the google contacts (address book) with my iphone. The first time i tried, it worked (all contacts from Google contacts were transferred to my iphone) but the next time nothing happened, nothing changed in the iphone contacts neither in the Google contacts (updates were made in both the iphone and goggle contacts). Any idea anyone?

  • PDF form template displaying multiple sets of data loaded from xfdf

    I would like to use PDF Forms with data stored in xfdf files.
    Is it possible to create pdf form (template) for displaying and printing multiple sets of data stored in xfdf?
    For example: pdf form contains 2 sets of data. Form field names:  F_1 and F_2.
    I have 7 sets od data. All I need is to create pdf and xfdf that can be displayed in PDF reader and printed
    as document consisting of 4 the same pages containing different data in form fields loaded from xfdf file.
    (something similar to Mail merge in MS Office Word).
    How it would be done? Is it possible to make such pdf, xfdf?
    If yes, where I can find examples (tutorial) of creating such forms, please?

    It is possible but not just a simple import of data.
    Each form field in the multiple page PDF would need a unique name not repeated on another page of the PDF. Fortunately the Acrobat form standard includes the "template" object and this object can be spawned or used to add a new page with the form fields automatically renamed with a prefix string of the page number and template added to each form field on the new page. So if one were to import a row from your tab delimited file into the template, one could then spawn a new page from the template with the data and rename the fields so there would be no conflict of like named fields.

  • Printing multiple sets of Portfolio documents collated

    I use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro's pdf Portfolio to print multiple documents with similar printing properties (two-sided, stapled, hole-punched) but they are separately two-sided and separately stapled. I try doing multiple copies but the print job comes out with 20 copies of document 1 of the porfolio followed by 20 copies of document 2 of the porfolio, and so on. How is it possible for me to make multiple sets of the portfolio which are by set rather than by document?

    I am also looking for an answer to this question.

    It is, however, possible to label entries as either business or personal and then create two groups. Place all business labeled entries in one group and all personal labeled entries in the other group.

    I have a similar requirement but the problem i am facing is that the control of the program does not go into the handlePostbackData() method of the desktop backing file. the URL i call from the login JSP is something like: "/../../myDesktop.portal" where myDesktop.portal is the desktop portal file having books and pages. Page1 is the default but based on an input i need to redirect to Page2 instead of landing on the default Page1. I wanted to give the redirect logic in the handlePostbackData() method but the control does not go into the method. I also tried giving sth like : "/../../myDesktop.portal?_nfpb=true&_pageLabel=Page2" but it still renders the (default) Page1.
    Do you have an idea what would I be possible missing out on or doing wrong here. Thanks.

  • Multiple Sets of Clips Not Needed

    When I import video from a camera, it creates multiple sets of clips. I am trying to edit the video to a supplied exact times and because there are multiple sets of clips, its not easily able to figure out where an exact time of the entire video is.
    My question would be, is there an easy way, within, iMovie to combine all the clips as one, or import the video so it doesn't create multiple clips? Or even say that I'd like to select say: 0:40 to 2:32 of the entire import as my Favorite.

    OK. I took out the extra comma. Put a space in after *survey*

    What to do if I want to send multiple different books and one calender, all to my self. I would like it to be just one shipping instead of four. After uploading your photobook there isn't a button like: would like to order anything more?

    There's nothing you can do. Apple has no setup for multiple items in one order and ship. Each item has to be a separate item. They probably setup it up that way to avoid the difficulties of tracking multiple and different items and getting them assembled for shipping and speed up getting each item out the door to the customer.

    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application, iPhoto dB file backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
