Any help on this would be helpful - pretty sure is host settings but can't for the life of me find where it is or what to change it to?
Visit http://my-site.com/scripts/form_check.php (replace my-site.com with actual domain) in a web browser and make sure you see all green checkmarks. If some items do not display green checkmarks that means that the hosting server is not configured correctly to allow the Form widgets to send email messages to the address you've specified.
Contact your web-hosting provider about the server configuration problem. Describe the items that are not marked as green in the form check page, so that they can help you set up the servers to use the correct settings.

How do you send mail using a different email address
I have a BT yahoo mail account, (eg [email protected]) to which I have associated a domain name for my business use, (eg [email protected]). When I send a mail from my PC I can choose which email address to show in the from address, either my personal Btinternet account or my Business Name. However I don't have this option on the iPad. Has anyone else experienced this problem? And if so what's the solution.

Thanks no I don't have both accounts set up as the Business domain name is received and issued through the btinternet mail account. I've tried to set up a second account however this will not validate because they are both through the same mail account. Or am I missing something? -

Exchange not sending mail to the correct recipient addresses when one of the addresses is incorrect
Hi,
I am creating an email msg programatically and sending to the exchange server.
When all the recipient addresses are correct, the mail is sent successfully.
But if one of the addresses is incorrect, the server gives a "550 5.1.1 User unknown" error and theemail msg is not being sent to the correct addresses as well.
When this is tested via Outlook, the mail is sent to the correct addresses and there is an error mail from the server stating that the mail was not sent to the incorrect address, this is the expected behaviour.
What needs to be done to get the expected behaviour? There must be some alternative setting being used by outlook.Hi,

IPhone is sending mail from an old email address
This one has me stumped. I tried using a gmail account with my phone and decided I didn't like the way things worked (old dog). I liked it when I was just downloading copies of my mail from the mail server independently. So I deleted the gmail account from my iPhone and also from MacMail. It's no where else on any of my Macs or on my iPhone. Yet the phone is still sending out mail from that gmail address, so then of course people respond to it and I never check the mail there. By the time I remember to login to gmail, the messages are days old. Anyone have this problem and how do I exorcise the ghost of gmail?
You need to go to mail settings, open any account, then tap on SMTP. The gmail outgoing server is probably still in the server list, so delete it.
Also, you need to reboot after any email account changes. Hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears. -

Always worked until this morning, and works on a different copy of MAIL on the other computer. When I try to send mail using my comcast email address, as always, Comcast rejects that email address for the smpt address that is correct and has always worked before. I can't find any .plist files for MAIL to delete, either.

Why is my php form not sending to my e-mail?
Here i have the code for my .php document and the code for my html. Why is the form not sending to my e-mail ([email protected])? At one point I had the form sending to my e-mail, but the information that was filled out was not appearing. Now no email is being sent at all. I tried a contact-us.php page with the php email code in the same document and now have the information in seperate documents, but I am getting the same results every which way. I don't know anything about Spry validation of form fields but I think it requires you to set the type of validation, i.e., text, email, number.
Have you looked in that direction.
I presume what youre saying is when you hit send you get a red message saying phone number is not valid or something along those lines? -

+---------------------------------------------------------------------------+I was troubleshooting my own issue noted above and tried to send the attachments via gmail's web interface (bypassing Apple Mail). This time, gmail provided an error message stating that the file contained a virus.
Since it was a zip of several Word docs, I saved them as PDFs and then rezipped, and Apple Mail sent them off like a champ.
Evidently, Mail does not have a method for relaying the precise nature of the error message that gmail sends (in this case that the attachment had what gmail thought was a virus). This would be a prime area for some software developers to tackle on a future version of Mail.
By the way, the files almost certainly do not contain viruses; they are extremely old Word Docs that have been on my successive Mac hard drives for at least 9 years. Too old a format for gmail to recognize?

With one mailbox server in the production site and one in the DR site, you do not have high availability. If the main site goes down, the cluster loses quorum and all databases dismount. You must then force quorum or move the file share
witness to restore quorum.
I can't tell you why what you observed happened. At the time of the problem I would have been looking at the transport queues to see what's queued and to where.
I recommend you look at the configuration of your send connectors to ensure that none of them are dependent upon the DR site server.
To send mail outside, you must allow relay. To do this, I recommend you create a new receive connector that's configured to allow relay and restrict access to the application server to keep anyone else from using it to relay. There are plenty
of articles on the Internet that describe how to configure a relay connector.

Message attachments can't exceed the maximum size allowed by your email service provider or the recipient's email service provider. The maximum size varies by service provider. Try compressing the filebefore sending it, or send your message without the attachment to verify that there are no issues with sending.
