"Must enter batch name"...***?

Oh, Compressor, you lame-o app...
OK...I've never seen this one before, in all the years I've used the various versions of Compressor.
It's asking me to enter a "Batch Name". Isn't that the name of the "batch" I just saved, with a name? And, as long as the idiot who programmed this app bothered to bring up this error window, couldn't he have just routed me to the dialog to enter said batch name, instead of giving me one choice..."OK"?
Compresser Help offers no suggestions, except to confirm that I really do have a batch name.
Tossing Compressor prefs has so far not helped. What gives?

Is you Windows user account an administrator account? If you don't have proper permission to install software on the system, you need an administrator to enter their username/password

"Empty Batch Name" error

Hi, I'm trying to submit a batch for processing from NTSC to PAL using settings I've used successfully earlier today. I have about ten clips in this batch, all from the same location and being sent to the same destination. However, when I hit Submit, the batch won't process, and the following error message comes up:
*Empty batch name* +You must enter a name for this batch submission. This is the name that identifies this submission in the Batch Monitor and the History window.+
The batch is already named (and also saved). The error message gives no room to do anything, just an 'OK' to click... It's not OK actually - any suggestions how to fix this gratefully received. Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem. I saved my batch and it gave me that same error: "You must enter a name for this batch submission. This is the name that identifies this submission in the Batch Monitor and the History window."
What I did was to create a second batch (another tab in the batch window) I left this one "untitled" (did not save it) then submitted it -and it worked. I named the job and it is happily chewing away.
Not pretty, but it worked.

I insert settings and name the destination. The tab has a name. There's a name over the thumbnail. I click submit and get the "you must enter a name for this

Display popup box to enter the name for batch input

Hi Experts,
I am working on the ALV display.'
I am giving two push buttons on the ALV Screen in the application toolbar.(Ex: 1.Online 2.Batch Job).
If the user will select the ONLINE the process is going good.
If the user will select the BATCH JOB it has to display popup box to enter the BATCH name and with that batch name i have to create the batch for the program in SM35.
Can any one please help me in doing so.

Hi,
You can display a popup box by creating the screen and screen elements in the screen painter and use
CALL SCREEN scr STARTING AT x1 y1 ENDING AT x2 y2.
X and Y are the coordinates of the screen you want to display as a pop up.(used to manipulate the size of the pop up screen/window)

I've installed icloud on my ipad but when I tried to install it on my MacBook re mobileme, must have blocked it and now get a message saying I need to enter another name

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.

How to get unique Batch Name for AP Open Interface Import Program

Hi,
We have enabled the invoice batch controls i.e. the profile option 'AP: Use Invoice Batch Controls' set to Yes.
We have an interface with some system from where we receive a data file that has AP invoices. The invoices are loaded into staging table, and finally into AP invoice interface tables. After this the AP Open interface import is run.
The relevant programs are in a concurrent request set and are executed every day.
The issue is with the 'Batch Number' parameter of the Payables Open Interface Import Program. If I enter some text as the batch number, the Batch gets created with that name only. As such we need the Batch number to be unique for each job run.
Oracle help says "If the AP: Use Invoice Batch Controls profile option is enabled and if you provide no value for this parameter then the system provides a value for you. The value the system provides is the concatenation of the Source and a unique sequential number. For example, ERS: 1234".
However the problem is the Batch Name Parameter is mandatory, and cannot be left NULL.
Has any one faced this issue earlier? Am I missing any setup or step?
Any inputs in this regard would be highly appreciated!

The proper Oracle suggested method would be to put a wrapper program around your request set that determines the batch name.
The easier (abet less supported) method:

We activated batch management for one of the materials and when we perform GR for PO , system expecting us to enter the Batch number, instead of system generating new batch with the error "Message no. M7018".
We have the below setting for "define batch creation for Goods Movement" as "Automatic / Manual without check" for movement type 101.
Not sure where we are missing .
Can you plz through some light on this.

Then, in Customizing "MIGO: Field Selection per Movement Type" enter
field name LIFNR for movement types 101 .The corresponding path

I keep getting a pop-up from Safari (even when it's in the background) that says:
+*Enter your name and password to update the RSS feed*+
How on earth do I disable this? It is asking for a username and password for Twitter so I must have clicked an RSS feed link there, but after searching like mad, I can't figure out where Safari looks for RSS at on my system.

This started occurring immediately after updating to safari 4.
I tried disabling the automatic RSS updates in safari preferences, set it to "never" as suggested, but the annoying window keeps on popping up.
So the original question is still not answered for me.

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just cancelling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

Why have 5 accounts if you need to access all of them.. just have one account?
Sorry I cannot follow why you would even use the PC to control the Time Capsule. Apple have not kept the Windows version of the utility up to date.. so they keep making it harder and harder to run windows with apple routers.

I cant seem to fix this message when going online, nore have I managed to find any help with it.
everytime my imac27 2010 sleeps it goes offline then this message appears...

as a result I have to play around with "join other network" every time I want to join my own network.
it was so anoying that I decided to reinstall everything from scrach, so I backed everything to time machine. but I couldnt restore as im on snow leapard and dont have an original disc with me. I moved countries so the apple store isnt round the corner any more :/ (disc would need to be shipped in)
whats interesting in my mac did not have this wifi conection problem when I took it to another location. only from home. But every other devise does not have this problem even at home...
any help really appreciated

The system logic is the following:
In the master record of your one-time account, there is a field called
'Reference account group'. The field status settings of the account
group entered here are relevant for the one time vendor screen.
Please note that even if the fields are changed from mandatory to
optional if the NAME and CITY of the One Time Vendor is not filled, the
system will still prompt the Error Message F5266.
If you do not enter the name and city you will receive error F5266.
The system logic here is to make sure that the name and the city being
keyed-in properly for the Executive Information System reportings.
Please note that it is hard-coded in the system.

Also if you are using any bapi to post the document, you can resolve the issue pass-in 'Name', City and Region field values in BAPI while creating the billing document.
