My A4 centred document keeps printing out off centre.

I have an A4 Document which has everything centred, when i print out the document is off centre and I can't figure out why this is happening. I have tried exporting as pdf & jpgs and when i print those out they are off centre too. The actual InDesign document is aligned to the centre perfectly though!
Help!

I just want to be clear about what "the same direction" means. After rotation the same elements are too close to the same edge of the page.
If that's true on all the prints, the problem is in the communication between ID and the printer (and that's not all that unusual with Ricoh printer drivers and ID). ID is not known for it's native printing, and it doesn't get along with some print drivers at all. Top of the list is HP, and Ricoh might be second. In such cases exporting PDF and printing from Acrobat is the suggested workaround. It disturbs me, though that you say the PDF also prints off center, which is why I think this is a printer problem.

  • My printer keeps printing out a file summary page every time I print something?!

HP Photosmart Plus B210- Every time I print anything, the printer spits out a summary page of the file I'm printing...wasting paper and ink!  How do I get it to stop?!  I've already re-installed the software and that didn't work...

    Hi,
Are you printing from Word ? If Yes, please try this:
Click the 'Office Button' (top-left corner of the window) then 'Print'
Click 'Options' (bottom-left corner of the print window)
    Choose the 'Display' section
    Untick 'Print document properties'
Click OK to all the windows and you're done
    Regards.

  • My PDF is set to A4 but prints out as A3?

I used Acrobat X to create a page of PDF document, it prints out fine in Adobe Reader, or Internet Explorer plug-in on Windows.
However when I use Google Chrome browser on Windows to print it, the A4 page comes out twice the size (by width and by height). This only happens in Chrome. I wonder what's in PDF that's causing this issue? Or if it's Chrome's bug, what can I do as a workaround?

I would like to change the PDF file itself so the problem doesn't occur in any Chrome browser. Because I'm publishing this PDF on my website for the public to download.
I'm wondering what could have caused this problem and how to fix it -- obviously it's Chrome PDF viewer's bug but not every PDF file has this problem, so I want to tweak my PDF to make it compatible to Chrome PDF viewer.

  • Any solution to why the first page of secure document will print, but is blank?

Title page of a secured document is printing out blank.  The page has stamps on it and is clearly visible during the print preview before print.  Second and subsequent pages print fine.
Unsure if some setting has been unchecked that skips printing the first page or some unknown error.
Any help would be apprecaited.  Thanks.

    Hi Shabeaut,
According to your description, my understanding is that you want to change the template of the root site without creating the susites in another web application.
I recommend to export all the existing subsites and import them to new web application.

  • After EHP6 Upgarde Picking list print out is resulting format & overlapping issues

    Hi All,
We have recently upgraded our system from ECC 6.0 to EHP6 .Now when user trying to print a Picking list document then Print out is overlapping with content .
But when we check the spool the Print Priview looks good but when trying to print the content is overlapping & observed the font size is chaned i.e. the content is displayed in Bold format .
But for those spools which were created before upgarde & when we give a print then Print out is fine. So some thing happend after upgrade that causing us the Print out problem .
we are using device type HPLJ4  & try to print Picking list output and it is causing problem.
    Kindly provide your suggestions.
    Thanks and regards,
    Dilip

    Hello Peng Wen,
Thanks for your reply and yes the issue got resolved . Actually we are using a custom device type ZHPLJ4 which is a copy of HPLJ4 . But as part of Upgrade ZHPLJ4  HELVE with scalablity is no longer supported. So we have removed the entry from SE73 as it even doesnt exist in HPLJ4 . Now it is working as expected.
Thanks a lot for your replay.
    Thanks and regards,

  • I would like to print out the icon and title of each of my apps to another document for printing and sharing within my family

I would like to print out the icon and title of each of my IOS apps to another document for printing and sharing within my family.  My son has my old iPod touch so I erased it so he could put whatever games he wants to play on that I used to play with.  It is difficult to download every game at one time because there is too much to download at one time.  I have many hundreds of apps.  One way I found was to create a screen grab of each page in iTunes  then open it in Preview contact sheet but that is really tiny unreadable image of each screen.  I also tried importing a screen shot of the contact sheet into Paint 2 and magnifying it on several pages but that is really blurry.  The ideal solution would be to import the icon and text to another app or to provide a print list of apps solution within iTunes.

Create iPad screen shots by briefly pressing the home and on/off buttons together.  You will hear a shutter click sound and find a screen shot on your iPad's Camera Roll.  You can then print these screen shots as you would any iPad photos.
UPDATE: I assumed you had an iPad.  Hopefully your iOS device does have an on/off and home button and is capable of producing screen shots.

  • Why do my margins get cut off when I right click print, but not when I open my document and print?

When I right click print (without opening the document) my margins get cut off, but if I actally open my pdf document and click print, it will print just fine.  This only happens when the document has print that is close to the edge.
I am using Adobe 10.1.2 with Windows 7.
Thank you in advance for your thoughts and help

As for your comment on this being my first Mac, and the program issue, you misunderstood. Yes the eMac is in fact my first, personally owned, Mac computer other than the original Apple II series floppy fed PC, in which me and my father owned. The only other Apple/Macintosh computer I had experience on was my father's 13" MacBook Pro, and 20" iMac (both ran OSX Tiger 10.4.11, just as the one I have know runs). The iMac was upgraded to Snow Leopard due to our need for better picture/video/audio editing software such as that of Adobe, and the Macbook Pro was sold because of a business that was started being siphoned out of money. I purchased the eMac from a small business based off of eBay. It had the majority of OSX Tiger software, only missing minor programs like Photobooth. Other than that, it had no wireless software like BlueTooth, Wi-Fi capabilities, wireless sync, ect... But alas, when you buy a Apple/Mac computer, you must take a few cutbacks when purchasing it (even refurb.) for around $120.00 including taxing, shipping, handling, ect... I purchased nearly all of my software from co-workers and friends who had an extra key, or I would receive the software disc from them, and buy a key. The only "illegal" thing I had on the computer was music I had downloaded from LimeWire. I have never, and will never, trust any software coming from a torrent download site.

Yes, but the part cut off the bottom of the first page should appear at the top of the second. No content should be lost, just split between pages.
Safari makes little or no attempt to keep a line of print or a picture from splitting across pages, seemingly just imaging the web page as one large image and printing so many inches or millimeters of the image per page.

  • Every document I print also prints out a summary sheet at the end.  I want to disable this function

Every document I print also prints out a summary sheet at the end.  i want to turn off this function.

Check the print options in the dialog box.  If you don't have all this information displayed, click the circled arrow next to the printer name.  Click the program option drop down, it's the one with a horizontal line to the left and right, check the cover page option.  I can be set to before or after a print job.  Just say none.

  • How to not keep printed documents

I am basically trying to print some coupons from bricks.coupons and when I start to print it says that my preferences for my printer need to not save/keep printed documents.  I can't figure out how to change these preferences.  Help!!!

I've never seen such a dialog with my printer or Mac OS, so it has to be either a feature of whatever software you installed for the coupon printing and/or your printer settings. You'll need to check both of those and look through all the possible options.

  • The word "ORIGINAL" is not appearing in the print out of documents

    Hi,
For some reason the word "ORIGINAL" does not appear in the print outs (A/R Invoice, etc) anymore. But the word "COPY" appears when we reprint the documents. We could not see any setting in SAP that relates to this, and no changes in the PLD has been made prior to this issue. What could we be missing?
    Thank you,
    eric

    Hi Eric,
The "Copy" remarks will be printed if you print a printed documents. Sometimes documents automatically change into "Open-Printed" event if we not actually print it.
The solution is to chnge that remarks in the PLD to text "Original".
    Cheers

  • Automatic print out of a document that is created via B1iSN

Can anybody tell me if it is possible to print out of a document (purchase invoice) automatically after it has been created via B1iSN?
Does anyone have an example or a link how to realize this?
    Thanks
    Gerhard.

    Hi Gordon,
    thanks for your fast reply.
we have a subsidiary A that does all the accounting and sales for subsidiary B (that works as a commercial unit). All goods that are sold in B are purchased in A. We have connected the two subsidiaries via B1i. A sales order in B automatically generates a purchase order that is send to A via B1i (B1PO2B1SO scenario). The invoice from A for these goods is send to B as a purchase invoice via B1i.
This purchase invoice ought to be printed out automatically as the staff and printers are in the same office.
    Regards,
    Gerhard.
